The Vulcan Mountains

Durandel sat on a flowing geyser of overlooking the landscape that was his. It was barren, black rock and covered in patches of red from the constant lava flow and flames that fell from the sky. Before Durandel was a burnt carcass so charred from a recent geyser that the meat was assuredly overly done. He bent his head down and chomped down into it licking his snout as he did.

"Fried food... It really is good for the soul." he thought as he continued biting into his large meal. Nobody was in sight, so that was very, very good. He wouldn't have to work today. He liked his days off when people weren't always fighting, yet he hoped this peace wouldn't break.

While eating Durandel suddenly choked on a bone and died. Let his poor soul rest in peace.

Durandel woke up in terrible pain within a few minutes. Somehow he had managed cough up the bone he had swallowed.

"That really hurt." he groaned as he looked down at the bone.

He stood up and looked around. "I'm not eating anything from here again for a while I suppose." he said as he jumped down from the geyser he was on. He looked to the west and decided that he would head into the Nigerius Lands. That place would have far more game than here and he was very hungry. He started with a walk and then quickly began to sprint his paws slapping against the rocks below his feet as he ran ran. He was used to the uneven terrain though after living in the Vulcan Mountains region for years, so he did not slip even once as he existed his homelands and went into the distant Nigerius Lands.

Kaveh walked down through the Sharikere Mountains covered in a heavy coat of white ice. The moment he reached the Vulcan Mountains though this ice dropped from his black fur and turned into pools of water at his feet. He felt the warm vapors rise up off the earth and heat his body and said, "I've finally arrived here, so now where is Rashid's Prison? I've heard the fool lives here, but I cannot seem to smell him."

Kaveh could not smell him because the blizzards coming down from the mountains had been especially thick and had nearly frozen his nose. He could see water droplets trickling down from his nose and sighed.

"Hm, there's a cave up ahead." he noted as he raised his head and sauntered towards it. Inside he could hear a few screams coming from the entrance and thought, "I must be close... The legendary Rashid likes to torture wolves that don't listen to him. I'll need his help, but how do I not fall under his influence."

Kaveh thought about this as he stepped into the cave and sought Rashid. He looked around the empty looking entrance and called out, "Rashid, are you here! Come out you mind freak and talk with the great Kaveh. I have a proposition from one evil person to the next!"
