Is it really peace if the world is ruled by one King, a tyrant King?

Once upon a time, there were ten kingdoms, ten families who ruled over ten lands. Some bloodlines were gifted with magic, while others were not, but peace was met through the accords, a treaty signed by each King. The thing about promises is that they are made to be broken, a lesson that is very hard to learn.

The war is something no one dares to speak of, a large wound in history that is yet to be healed. One Kings hunger for power pushed him to the brink of madness, he found a way to suppress and seal magic. The magic scholars libraries were burned to the ground, anyone who possessed magic was slaughtered as an example. Ten kingdoms dwindled down to seven, and seven dwindled to five. Every royal family that possessed magic was killed, the kingdom burned to the ground, the people slaughtered.

Once magic was efficiently eliminated, the world fell into peace, more the facade of peace. The four other remaining families might as well be slaves, only kept around so that people do not realize exactly what their King has done. If you were lucky enough to escape your Kingdom it is key to stay hidden, if it is found that you have magic in your blood, you will be slaughtered.





The heir to the tyrant kings throne has come of age and is expected to marry within the next year. Nobility from all over Ethezaria is coming to try and woo the prince, but no one has caught his eye, no one that is noble that is. After her mother fell ill, she took her place as a maid for the royal family, and it is safe to say the prince has come to fancy her a fair amount.

The new maid however, may be more noble than the prince realizes, she is keeping a big secret that could cost her, her life. Not only did she escape from the slaughter of people who possessed magic, she was the princess of one of the kigndoms, the only heir. She escaped the fires that had engulfed her home, and now her love for the son of the man that committed such an awful crime is putting her in the same amount of danger.

How long can she keep it a secret? Will he still love her when he finds out, or will he have her killed? Will he protect her?
