Durandel watched as the wolf seemed to stiffen after hearing his name. He wasn't quite sure if that was a good or bad thing in this case. He began to worry that Nova may flee or worse, attack him. Durandel took note of a nearby tree to run and take cover from just in case. Still those few moments of silence where intense and the Canicus began to assume the worst. That was until the Ausi turned around and spoke to him. "That was a bit awkward," Durandel paused a moment, assessing what he just said, "Did he...just call me Canicus?" Durandel thought a bit confused. Did he really forget his name? Perhaps that was the issue, still it was no matter to him. At least he recognized him and that was the first step. He just wondered how he will take what will come next? Durandel decided to walk a bit closer to Nova, but still kept a fair amount of distance. After all, the Ausi still seemed a bit tense even though he called him by name.

He began to wonder if he's heard the recent news about the attack? He hoped that wasn't the case as he hoped to break it to him here and now. But then again, perhaps it is for the best he knew about it ahead of time. At least now he can just skip through all the unpleasantness and get down to business. Durandel decided to break the ice and speak some more to help comfort the situation.

"Uh, hello again, I'm glad that it's you." Durandel spoke a bit unsure of what to say. "It seems you're doing well and, uh, not dead that's good too." Durandel spoke a bit awkwardly himself. "I'm sure you're wondering what I'm doing out here...well, I'm here out on a mission." Durandel spoke trying to figure out how to say this. "Uh, well, it's important that you listen to me...if you'll hear me out?" Durandel asked. He hoped the Ausi would, it was of the utmost importance.
