Durandel sort of figured out this plan was probably going to be a bust from the get go. Still the words of Ezra have whittled away at his perceptions of things, and he felt that peace was the answer. Or at least, the only way to stop such a longstanding war. He looked at Nova who he felt would at least see some good in trying. But, he guesses that was just wishful thinking on his part. "Well, Prometheus did assault the Alpha of your pack and wounded him badly, along with whoever else was around him...who knows they could have all died from their wounds by now." The Canicus pessimistically spoke. "Yeah, it may seem foolhardy to ask of them to stop...but, I don't know...I felt I should try something." Durandel spoke as his ears folded down.

Nova told him more of the same, the years of conflict have made them all angry with each other anyway. It really didn't take much to set off a powder keg between the two packs. He then perked up at the mention of Rashid, a time he would rather forget. "I don't know if it was fate...probably, but we did work together to escape as well...I guess I was hoping for more of the same." Durandel then drew a heavy sigh. "I guess this plan of mine was foolish, I was never one to think things through...heh, I often get made fun of by some of the council members for being rather thick." He gave a sort of pathetic chuckle as he spoke. "It's just...that this whole conflict was born of misunderstandings and people being thick like me. It's just....I don't know...things aren't looking too good back home either, and so...you know what never mind, you probably don't want to hear the troubles of a Lava Wolf." Durandel spoke as he hanged his head.

"I guess, I better go back home, and be a proud Canicus and tell the Alpha I could do nothing to stop what's coming." Durandel spoke as he sniffed into the air. "I keep forgetting how nice fresh air smells like without all the ash clogging it up." He spoke as he took in a deep breath.
