Eh, he won some, he lost most. Obviously this shewolf wasn't going to give him the time of day. Other than a slight raise in his eyebrows out of surprise, Shamus did little to react to the sudden aggression of the other wolf. He saw it all in his line of work. He determined he would go find another target, perhaps he could go exploring in the Hemlock marshes, he had yet to go in there. Who knows, perhaps that exclusive pack would be more receptive than this angry Kamarian. But of course, he could always make an investment for later with her.

"Be that as it may, ma'am, you never let me get to why your luck has improved" Shamus sighed, dropping his act a few notches. "You were about to walk right into the little valley of death between the Tenneth and the Dimitrios, a quaint 'lil place called Maxim lake. The two packs 'ave been fight'n there for quite a bit, more so in these days. Best a hungry confused wolf like yourself not walk into that trap."

It was likely he would run into this dazed wolf again, as vagabonds have a knack for crossing paths more than once, so he decided to try and lighten her perception of him a little bit. He had enough rations for a few days anyway. Snarfing his snout down into his satchel that swung loosely at his side, he fished out a cut of salted deer meat. He had made a deal with a couple of Arlyne hunters a few days back that if he found them the deer, they would give him half the meat. Of course the water wolves, not knowing anything about land tracking, happily agreed at the easy meal. Making a show of his powers, he led them to where he knew a group of deer were, and it was in the bag from there, so to speak.

Tossing the steak over to the Kamarian as she walked away, he instructed her with "Why don't you stick that in your teeth? That's a much betta' way of using them than showing off your fangs for a hungry shewolf like yurself. Better come take it before the foxes get it." Then, feigning disinterest, he took a few steps back and made a show of trying to tighten up is satchel, which had a knack for tripping him up.
