Durandel hadn't expected things to turn out this way. He didn't expect that he wouldn't be able to return home to his friends and family. He hadn't expected to be labeled a traitor and betrayed by his own pack...how did things turn out so wrong? The only thing he's got going for him is his plan, and he hopes Nova can deliver. But what is he to do now? Alina suggested finding BattleDemon and hide out amongst the Alva. Yeah, like that plan would go well...what are his chances of running across Battle anytime soon? Where was he supposed to go? And how would he know when Nova completes his mission? When can he even return? And what if Nova fails, what then? So many questions where running through his head and began to wonder if splitting up was a good idea. Alina seemed to think so and Nova had no objections so he assumed it was the right course of action.

He felt so unsure of himself and the world at the moment. He wishes he could be there helping out in any way possible, what's so wrong with that? Can't Nova or Alina see that he could be so much more useful? He shook his head as he felt a bit disgruntled over the situation. Being lost in thought he nearly missed that he was nearing Maxim Lake, he really had no desire to go near that place again. After all he was attacked some time ago. Durandel growled at the events that happened earlier today, it just made him sick. He decided to take a course that would take him away from the shores of the lake. Besides the river was widening and would eventually turn into that lake, and there would no longer be a proper guideline for him to follow.

He veered off the course that Nova had suggested in favor of avoiding the lake. Besides who knows, there could be more of those Prometheans around out there. Despite the aire of negativity it would seem fortune was about to shine down on him, or at least give him the opportunity for luck. As he moved about the forest he saw a wolf dart by not too far off in the distance. It's not much of a oddity, after all, one would expect to see wolves running about the woods at any given time of day. It would be cause of alarm in his case but thankfully the wolf was completely dark, while their are dark furred Tenneth, it is a strange occurrence in his pack. Of course this normally wouldn't be the grounds for deserting a potentially safe position, but the wolf had something else...familiarity. Of course he couldn't say for certain if it was who he thought it was, but it wouldn't hurt to make sure. Worst case scenario, he would have to fight and kill that wolf.

He decided to follow the darting wolf as fast as he could. It would seem the wolf was heading for the lake, but he had to be sure. When he believed he was within ear shot Durandel yelled, "Hey wait, wait!" He wasn't sure if the wolf heard him or not so he did it again. "Wait! Wait up! BattleDemon is that you!?" He shouted once more. He hoped this time he would gain the wolf's attention by shouting out a name. Now only time will tell if he saw what he thinks he saw, correctly.

((It's all good, don't worry about it.))
