Blood in one eye, the mist of battle fury in his other, Nova felt entitled at least blinding the brute whom he had been fighting. Tit for tat, right? That having been accomplished, the ice wolf lept off his prey, appreciating Durandel for keeping the other wolf off of his back. He managed to catch a glimpse of BattleDemon's tail as she bolted into the woods, but that was enough. His weary limbs had given their all today, and the only thing that kept them going was adrenaline.

Assuming Durandel would be close behind, Nova dashed into the trees. They were headed towards that blasted Maxim lake again, and if he hadn't been so winded he would have shouted to Battle to hook right so that they wouldn't be cornered. He wondered what would happen when the Tenneth clashed with those Hemlock wolves. Would they stop and scuffle? Or would they ignore each other and chase after them? Nova doubted the latter, for the only wolves he knew to willingly work together across packs were the ones he was escaping with right now.

Drawing in all the air he could, Nova drove further into the trees.
