It took several more minutes of patient fishing before Nova felt they had enough food. It was actually quite the catch, and the Ausi figured that him being hungry caused him to catch a few more than normal. Pleased that one of the others had managed to get a fire started, Nova's mood finally began to relax somewhat at the chance of having a good meal in the near future. Before returning to the stream to clean his wounds, Nova lined up the catch on a flat stone near the embers to allow them to thaw.

At the water again, Nova eased himself into the water, his muscles relaxing as the cool water flowed in and around his fur. Grime and muck of the journey gradually flowed off, and with it seemed to go a few of the stresses of the day. It was ridiculous how many times he had to fight for his life that day, but at least he could enjoy this lull. The woods were beautiful to look at when you had time to appreciate them, certainly different than back home. This distant howl of the wind in the tree tops created a soothing white noise that one didn't hear in the mountains. Those mountains that it would take a miracle to be able to go home to.

Wounds cleaned and looking forward to a meal, Nova returned to the fire in time to hear Dey's remark. For once it wasn't a jab at him. Responding in kind, Nova said that it was his too. "It's an easy one to have, all you have to do is look at the sky to feel a bit happier" he expounded.
