"We're fine, keep going!" Nova grunted, hauling himself out of the water. He was a bout to snap at Dey for tacking him as he was getting out of the river, when he realized she had simply tripped and was not being malicious. Yanking her up by her scruff in an effort to keep moving, Nova let her go as soon as she had gotten her feet under her. He took a moment to rub his chin with his paw where his head had struck a stone when he went down. By the claw, he was getting more banged up than a fish in a net full of rocks today.
The moment of respite allowed Nova's ears to tune in one a peculiar sound from coming up the river, who until now had been covered up by the roars of the wolves upstream. It was growing loud and stronger in intensity, sounding like a strong gust of wind moving through a canyon. Turning, the Ausi was horrified to see a monstrous wave of water coming down the riverbed, the size of the wave dwarfing the normal banks of the river. Logs poked out of the waves like deadly spikes, and the whole thing became darker as it picked up more mud.
"I think the Arlyne are counterattacking...Lets go!" Nova muttered, his voice weak with fear before rising to shout the order to run.
