Schemeko

"Shamus, eh? A pleasure to meet a stranger in our modest surroundings." Schemeko spoke keeping up his toothy grin. "So, in the market for Hemlock Venom are we? Well I do hope my boys here gave you a satisfactory amount, yes?" Schemeko asked while pacing about. "Oh yeah, we sure did boss!" Wylie spoke up. "More like I did-it all, idiot!" Vander barked. "Oh, yeah, mostly him." Wylie corrected himself. "Yes, I assumed as much otherwise Mr. Shamus here wouldn't not be in the midst of his departure here." Schemeko spoke looking between his goons and Shamus. "Of course a well-spoken businessman like Shamus here most certainly payed for such a service, am I right?" Schemeko asked looking directly at Shamus still grinning.

"Well, yeah, with this lucky charm here." Vander answered as he held out the wooden trinket for Schemeko to see. Confused he looked at Vander with such a stare it could make water boil over. "Well...uh...uh...you see it's-," Then Vander was cut off with a tsk, tsk, tsk. "Now, Vander do you think a piece of shoddily carved wood is really worth giving up a Hemlock's pride and joy?" Schemeko spoke, not with anger or disappointment, as he practically whispered into his ear. The tone of his voice, so even and calm, it was a bit unsettling. "No, boss." Vander answered as his face went from shame to frustration. "Then...WHY DID YOU DO IT!?" Schemeko barked in his ear. "W-Well, because boss, he-he's a Saffron!" Vander quickly spoke. Then Schemeko's faced instantly contorted from anger to wonderment as he turned to Shamus with an even wider grin. "Oh? Really now?" Schemeko spoke as he walked up to Shamus.

"So...a little far away from your crops aren't you, harvester?" Schemeko chuckled. "So then would you mind answering a little inquiry of mine?" He spoke with voice as smooth as butter. "Is it true that your kind is inherently lucky? And if so, does coming into contact with your kind will bring good luck upon another wolf? You know as sort of the opposite of crossing a black cat?" Schemeko asked with interest practically beaming from his eyes. "Hey, boss were are the-," "Shut up Vander! Can you not see that I am talking to our mutual acquaintance?" Schemeko interrupted. "Yeah, shut up Vander!" Wylie added. Vander then growled menacingly at Wylie who awkwardly chuckled. "Sorry about that, these two are quite the uncultured handful. So please continue." Schemeko spoke with the utmost politeness.
