Something about this newcomer seemed...unsettling. Shamus couldn't put his paw on it, but whatever it was, this Schemeko definitely showed charisma. He couldn't tell if this Hemlock was veiling a skepticism of Saffron good fortune or if he was genuine in his asking, but knowing that he couldn't show uncertainty, he crafted his response with as much truth as he dared to put into it. And, not to be outmatched in confidence, Shamus kept a smirky grin on his maw all while he spoke.
"That it does matey, we are certainly rare enough that it is good fortune just to see one of us, I figure. As for the luck that sticks, well, that is a bit more of our choice, you see. Sometimes we leave behind tangible reminders, like that 'der pendent, to help wolves remember to look for the favors that they are receiving. You see mate, there are enough wolves out there who contribute good luck to just coincidence, when really, it is the work of the Saffron guiding fortune to them. Of course, good luck can neva' interfere with a wolf's agency, but it can certainly make their good choices better, and their bad ones a bit more palatable" Shamus explained, beginning to spice up his vocabulary somewhat to try and leave the other two wolves out of the conversation. Couldn't have anything he said accidentally contradict with what those two fools believed, they may get uppity again. Then again, their leader seemed to keep them on an iron leash, so playing to Schemeko's good side seemed like the best option.
