Durandel

The Canicus sat there as he watched the overflowing river beginning to recede. While it might be safe to traverse he could help but look at the devastation. It's no wonder the Arlyne have managed to stop all invaders in their lands, including the mighty Tenneth and Dimitrios. One should know better than to underestimate any one pack, and this proves it. Yet, he never thought the Arlyne would cause such destruction even if they were capable. The Arlyne have always been seen as a peaceful lot, but this war seems to be corrupting more than just the land. This made Durandel sad as Ezra's warnings about the war began to set in. "Remember this Durandel, if this war is not stopped soon...I'm afraid the packs will lose more than just some land. Something much more valuable will be lost...even more valuable than their lives."

Ezra said that yesterday to him and now he was beginning to see what he meant by something more valuable than lives or land. He then heard more sarcastic comments coming from Nova. Obviously the Ausi didn't want to be dragged back into the madness that was their daily lives for a time. He'll admit he didn't want to either, but, he had to do what he could to help. Yet, it seems all of this might be for not. If only he could convince them that this course of action will be worth it all in the end. Yet, there was nothing he could say or do to change their minds. Well as he brought up, their pursuers will have either died or lost their trail in that attack. He then looked over to Dey who told him to make Nova shut up.

Durandel then stood up. "Well, I see no point in sitting around and complaining...the only thing we can do is to keep moving forward, away from all this death." Durandel spoke. He then watched Dey blurt out something rather odd. "Cold white stuff? Do you mean snow?" Durandel asked. "The only time he saw anything like that was near Rashid's Prison. He didn't pay much attention to it at the time, but it was cold and hard to walk in. He began to wonder how the Ausi do it everyday. They must have warm paws.
