With a smirk on his face, Shamus decided to finish the ruse by burying what remained of Vander's other pendent, though Shamus doubted the burly Hemlock would ever come near this spot again. His stamina now restored, Shamus judged quickly the quickest route out of the swamp, and began a brisk trot south through the marshes.
