“No problemo.” Evelina said as she started heading to the counter to ring him up, walking ahead of him in case he saw anything and so he wouldn’t have to wait. As she grabbed the things to scan she noticed him staring at her, but not like the usual creeps would, more than just checking out her body. He handed her his debit card and she held it in her hand for a second before swiping it. Jeffrey Brooks… hmm. She thought to herself before the boy, Jeffrey said some that caught her attention. “Huh?”

Eve smiled a bit when he stuttered and said he liked her hair, a comment she got often. Though as he continued she giggled a bit to herself as it was cute. Not just what he was saying, but how he was saying it. Most guys that came in here would throw out some dumb pick-up line or pretend to be all into the music she liked, but this Jeffrey guy seemed genuine and honest. Plus the normal creep would try to impress her, he already called himself not cool, so she knew that wouldn’t be happening.

Evelina accidently let out a laugh as he called himself awkward, and covering her mouth. “No, sorry. I don’t mean to laugh at you. Just…” A smile crept across her face as she stared down at the counter. “Thanks, and I appreciate the kind words Jeffrey, you ain’t so bad yourself.” She said as she swiped his card and finished up the transaction, and bagged up the CDs for him. “There’s also download codes for the music on the receipt right here.” Even said as she grabbed a pen and wrote on the receipt.

Eve smiled as she handed him the receipt. “Have a nice day.” She said with a smile. “And we close in an hour in case you wondered.” She continued with a wink, before she turned back and went through a couple of drawers, finally letting her cheeks get red as she was trying not to blush when he was talking to her. Evelina shook her head a bit thinking about what she did with the receipt. There weren’t download codes for the CDs, she just wrote her phone number and circled it, plus telling him when they would be closing on the off chance he would message her. But Eve had no idea if he would even notice her phone number on the receipt or pick up ont he hints she was saying.

It wasn’t often Evelina gave her number out to people, let alone guys who try to hit on her at work as she always thought it was annoying, but Jeffrey seemed really nice and with how he was trying to find a gift for his sister showed how sweet he was. Plus him getting awkward with trying to flirt was cute.
