H E I G H TXANDXB U I L D:
Darcy stands at 5'6" tall and has a slender build. More often than not, she has her hair tied back in a ponytail or a braid, for practicality's sake. When she takes her hair down, it falls just past her shoulder blades and is longer still on the rare occasion she straightens her hair. Skyler is a pretty girl, not sultry or striking, she's pretty, wholesome even, and is well aware that some people dismiss her because of it. She has light blue-grey eyes that seem to shift along the spectrum depending on her mood and the light. But mostly, they're a pale blue colour.
Her style is very feminine. She often wears floaty blouses, skirts and dresses. She has a very boho, cottage-core style and prefers to wear pastel shades rather than the deeper colour scheme so many of her classmates seem to favour. Darcy doesn't have any tattoos yet, she's not overly fond of needles, and only has her ears pierced. Piercings and tattoos look great on other people, but she's not super sure if they're for her.

P E R S O N A L I T Y:
Ask most people about Darcy and they'll say she's sweet, kind, softly spoken, and while all these things are true, they don't quite tell the full picture. Darcy lives by the mantra 'Do no harm, take no hell'. She's good to people because that's the best way to get through most things, and if you're good to people, they're more likely to let you call in a favour or two when you need it. She's studious and keeps her head down in class. She does like her classmates, for the most part, Darcy can get along with most people, but she doesn't have the energy for drama. She's laidback about most things, save her classwork, so it takes a lot to get a rise out of her. Not that any of this means she's a pushover. Darcy Jones might be a lot of things, but a pushover is not one of them.
Underneath the sweet face and soft voice is a spine made of steel. Very few people have found her final nerve to get on, but they found out when they had pretty quickly. Darcy has a sharp temper that she mostly keeps in check but it's quite spectacular when it's unleashed. She's more than capable of standing up for herself, despite what her brother thinks. Darcy is a naturally curious person, who has to know the ins and outs of everything. When she finds something that really takes his interest, she can be almost childishly enthusiastic about it, often becoming an avid collector of anything related to the subject and speaking about it at a mile a minute. Darcy is a fantastically loyal friend, and will always have her friends' backs in a fight even if they don't always have hers in return.

Darcy Jones is the youngest of three children and the only girl. Having two very protective older brothers, Darcy was most definitely the princess of the family. She loved her brothers, but she chafed against the constant watching. The three, Darcy, Nathaniel and Jesse, were close as children. There are countless pictures of the three of them on family vacations, and at the beach, the park. Three normal kids enjoying themselves. Darcy did well at school, particularly in science. She'd always loved science, forgoing barbie dolls for science kits. She particularly enjoyed making her own gemstones when she was a kid. There were a lot of homemade amythests around the house.
Darcy was twelve when Jesse left for college. A few months later, her parents filed for divorce. In hindsight, the signs were there that the Jones's were on the rocks, but 12 year old Darcy was rocked by the news. The divorce was less than amicable and Darcy ended up living with her dad and Nathaniel. For a while, her mom would come around every weekend to see her kids. Sometimes they'd go out for the day. Darcy loved those days, but as time went on they became rarer and rarer. And then they stopped altogether. Texts and calls went unanswered and eventually Darcy stopped trying to contact her mom altogether. She had her friends and she had her brothers. Jesse had always taken his role as Big Brother very seriously but he eased off as Darcy got older. She was still his baby sister, but she was growing up and had grown into her own person who didn't need her brother standing over her shoulder.
As she made her way through high school, it was obvious that Darcy had a mind for college. She was smart, and she knew it. Most of her subjects came easy to her, Math and Science at the forefront. She took to new concepts with ease and was always asking for more information. She was less good at the artsy subjects, but not dire. She just had to work harder at them. She had a few close friends and larger circle of acquaintances through school, especially when exams came closer. She didn't mind helping out with revision, she actually enjoyed it. It helped her out as well. When it came to choosing a college, Ivy League seemed like the obvious choice and Darcy spent her evenings drafting her applications. And then she researched Cascadia. One visit to the campus and she was smitten. Her application was sent off and she waited and waited until she finally got her acceptance letter.
Darcy settled in to her classes despite noticing some of the more condescending attitudes of her fellow students. So what if she didn't come from an old family? Darcy had already decided on her major before she joined. Astrophysics. She loved looking up at the sky night after night and wondering what was going on up there and now she had the chance to unlock all those secrets.
