Minourie owns three enchanted pendants from her late mother and she has no idea that they are. Her mother has never left her a note or anything just a box the day after the funeral on her bed from her father she suspects. The citrine pendant shes been wearing since the 5th grade when her mother first gave it to her is enchanted with a low form of luck magic which only helps if she thinks about something in the moment hard enough to slightly push luck in her favor. The other thing is that it's random and no one knows when it'll work in her favor.

The amethyst that she wears on special occasions like to a party or dinner, unbeknownst to her gives her the ability to hear spirits and any other otherwordly thing thats within her vicinity. Only hear though, she is blind to them besdies the shadows at the edge of her peripheral. The last pendant, the citrine is know to be like a truthserum. It makes the wearer bolder, doing things they normally wouldn't but have thought of and speaking whatever is on their mind even if that's not how they usually are.

H E I G H TXANDXB U I L D: 5'10", slim, bordering athletic.

bearing beautiful light caramel skin, with piercing hazel eyes, and a smile that reminds you of the sun, Minourie rarely goes unnoticed in a crowd. Her cloud-like brown hair is wavy and thick, never failing to lightly smell of pina colada because of her conditioner. On a day to day her hair is out and about doing it's own thing. On occasions if it's too hot she'll tie her hair up into a messy bun or just a loose ponytail. Never the one for much makeup, Minourie is much satisfied with concealer, eye-liner and a tinted chapstick on a good day, if not shes most likely to just use the chapstick. No makeup can hide her scars though, luckily for Mino she's never cared much to try anyway. She has one, barely noticable, on that small dip that is right undeneath her nose and right above her upper lip, and a small nick on the lower left side of her jaw. The rest are old, from childhood, small and scattered throughout her body.

Occasionally dressed nice and comfortable, Mino tends to have expensive tastes when she can afford them. The most she spends on, clothing wise, would have to be her shoes as she has a small collection of about four pairs. Gravitating towards the classic tomboy fashion, though her outfits change depending on her moods, it all falls back down to her beat-up airforce ones, some pair of jeans, a t-shirt and the silver watch and the citrine pendant her late mother left her, one out of three. When it's time to dress up, she's down with a pair of waist high dress pants, a tucked in button down and her favorite pair of dress shoes. She also has her ears periced, wearing a single yellow and black feather on her right ear. Sometimes she wears her simple diamond studs it's place. Mino started young with her tattoos at the age of sixteen she got her first one in secret, then she got the one on her left thigh and the last one on her left forearm.

P E R S O N A L I T Y:
Regularly, Minourie is seen smiling, laughing, and snapping back to witty or sarcastic remarks with one of her own. She doesn't cause too much trouble or at least is smart enough not to get caught, but one tends to notice when she gets upset or annoyed because of her demeanor, it changes, even the air around her shifts a bit. It becomes hard for her to open up in these situations because even though she wants to be comforted her brain psychically will not let her speak the words and because of it she just burns it off with a run or lets it boil over and then cries about it until she feels better, or even comes to an understanding. Though she isn't one to condone violence, even if she deosn't hang with the most, anti-violent people, when it comes down to it, when breaking up a fight goes wrong, Mino is still human and she isn't afraid to throw a left hook if she needs to whether it's defending someone or herself. She's a little feisty, she has her bad days and snippy moments, yes, but Mino is a very good listener, very kind and very patient, especially when making friends, which is why she doesn't get upset often.

Charming as she can be with her smile, interest in history discussions, and her always up for anything attitude and mannerism, one tends to have a good time around Mino. Generally easy-going, Minourie is a little brave and bold thing mixed in with a sprinkle of I really don't fucking care or I really fucking do. She is hard to read at times but goes with the flow of things until something doesn't feel morally right or goes agasint what she believes in. The gears in her head are always turning, going a mile a minute. Her adhd has made small things a bit difficult in her life like concentrating on certain things and having all this energy like all the time. This however has never hindered her academics, in fact she excels in that feild and has earned her scholarship fair and square. Making up for her being human she's studied extra hard throughout her years, exceeding pass her arcane siblings in most their classes, if not all of the mundane. She even still has a little stutter from her kid years when she gets excited talking about something that she finds fascinating, even languages.

Her father would call her wise for her age, an old soul in a more mundane tone, like her mother but a hell of a lot luckier. Clever, wise and adventurous, Minourie has always seen the world for what it is, love, happiness, deceit, death, beautiful, disease, famine, violence, and resilience. A lot of it she learned through her history books and novels she read, a reoccurring chain of events all throughout. "You just have to pick and choose your friends.", her father would tell her but that isn't so easy when Minourie has a big heart she wears on her sleeve. There might be a few thorns here and there but almost who doesn't these days.
Q U I R K SXA N DXO D D I T I E S:
adhd she cannot sit still for more than an hour before she has to do something, she gets talkative if you spark her interest in a conversation, she always re-reads her paragraphs about four times from getting distracted or not being able to concentrate. She copes by taking an afternoon or night run/board ride to tire her and her mind out.
finger & leg tapping drumming her fingers are instictive from when she played the drums growing up and it helps her with her anxiety or when she just has excess energy, the same goes for her leg tapping, strangely enough it helps her fall asleep.
cleaning & chaotic order Mino can't have her living space messy like dishes in the skin or laundry in the living room. Her room on the other hand is messy, maybe just a tad bit but she knows where everything is and if someone were to move something she'd know.
noise it has to be on in the background whether it's her air conditioner, a fan, the t.v or just music.
upset when she gets mad or upset Mino clenches her jaw and flares her nostrils even if she doesn't vocally express her anger.
luck mino has been a lucky child, even now she's avoided two near death situations in her life.
longboard on campus she boards almost everywhere that way she has a few more minutes to sleep in the morning. She's almost never seen without the thing.

F E A R S:
drowing the thought has always been a deep fear of hers but she still loves to swim.
the dark as childish as it sounds mino just always has a very eerie feeling whenever she's in complete darkness, like she can sense something staring back at her.
failing a part of her feels like it'll come someday but she's scared of the fall, of the impact because deep inside she really wish she could just get an internship somewhere and travel or just go out on her own but she doesn't want to let her father down since she's the only mundane in her family.
everyone fears something, even if they don't admit it
going crazy sometimes when minourie happens to be alone in her room she can hear voices at night that come from seemingly thin air. She thinks it to be in her head and has heard them before when she's out and about but very rare does that happen.

Honestly, Hatch was surprised it had taken her housemates a full two weeks to throw a party. She’d been in desperate need of a release, and she’d been around for a week longer than most of them. But then again, she reminded herself, her housemates seemed to have a slightly better relationship with their families than Hatch did. Classes had only been back a week, and that was probably the most stressful thing most of them wanted to escape.

Hatch had left it until the last minute to leave to go home, and she’d come back as soon as possible. And even then, the few weeks she’d been home had been insufferable. Her oldest brother had announced his engagement, which had just resulted in more boring parties with her parents, where she was expected to drink wine and make polite conversation and wear a dress that made her look like every other businessman’s trophy daughter. Her father’s latest attempt at setting her up with some nice businessman’s son had backfired, even if the conversation had lasted a full ten minutes longer than usual. Her parents had spent the time they weren’t gushing about her brother and how wonderful this was for the family making strained conversation with Hatch about college. Her mother had brought her shopping, which had been an ill-fated attempt at converting Hatch to a more “appropriate” style of dressing. Hatch had, at least, gotten some new shirts out of it.

So when her housemates had suggested a party, Hatch had nearly fainted with relief. She’d gotten the word out among her friends and had even helped decorate a bit. They’d told everyone to bring their own drinks, but still had a ready stash of spirits and mixers, just in case, and had plenty of food to go around. They knew nobody was coming for the food, but also knew that it would be appreciated. Especially by whatever dumb freshmen would probably show up on an empty stomach. It always happened.

But It almost seemed like everybody had forgotten the events that had gone down shortly before Christmas. It seemed to just be another one of those events that was hot on everybody’s lips for a few weeks before fading into legend. Of course, a student being found dead on campus seemed to deserve a slightly more prominent place in everyone’s mind. Especially when it was clear they were murdered. The police were still around, asking questions, and there was a much tighter security presence on campus after dark. But if they hadn’t gotten the answers they needed before Christmas, they more than likely weren’t going to get the answers they wanted now, and the event had turned into a source of gossip.

“I heard he was in trouble with a gang,” one of Hatch’s roommates declared from where she lay on Hatch’s bed. Hatch raised an eyebrow, glancing at Lotta. “Drugs, guns, the whole thing.”
“I heard it was a cult.” Francis appeared from nowhere at Hatch’s door.
“A cult, Francie? Really?” Hatch laughed, leaning in to finish applying her lipstick.
“Yeah. Satanists.”
“Pretty sure his death wasn’t ritualistic enough for it to be a cult,” Lottie remarked.
“He pissed them off and they snapped. James says a senior approached him and tried to talk him into going to some service and then when he refused, the guy got really pissed off. He definitely seemed capable of murder.”
“Or, you know, it was just a mugging,” Hatch remarked, raising an eyebrow and turning around to face them and taking a sip from her Jack and Coke. “Sometimes things are just painfully ordinary and boring.”

Ordinary and boring. Two things Hatch was determined to never be. Her dress was another present from her mother. It had been pointedly laid out for her before one of the many parties she’d been forced to attend, and was one of very few outfits that her mother picked out for her that Hatch actually liked. However, Hatch took comfort in the fact that she was pretty sure her mother wouldn’t have liked her shoes or her makeup, and relished that.

Even though the party was in her own apartment, Hatch waited until it sounded like there were plenty of people there before making her appearance. Looking like she’d been waiting for everyone else would just make her look desperate, so she waltzed out of her bedroom and scanned the party with a raised eyebrow. It seemed that everyone else had been as excited for the party as they had been. She made her way over to the kitchen to pour herself another Jack and Coke (heavy on the whiskey, of course), where she positioned herself to continue scanning the room and either find a familiar face or someone who at least looked interesting.
