Introduction

Take Me Home
5 years ago, the sixth prince of Eilia was lost. Aboard the HMS Rosnilia on a peace mission at the time of an attack by the Fiahines, the prince's escape pod's engines failed. Based on the logs of the other survivors, we have come to the conclusion that the prince's chances of survival are 0.5% and his odds of making it to a habitable planet are 0.0001%. Therefore all search efforts for the prince will no longer be funded by the alliance.

While her parents urged her to take up an offer to join the Alliance as a pilot, the girl had other plans. Conspiring with the fourth and fifth Princes, the trio managed to worm their way into the first test flight of the HMS Codix. As the escaped pods disengaged once at a time during the evacuation drill, one failed to disengage. The crew waited anxiously for a signal that there was an issue and they were to head back, but the only signal they recieved was a stuck out tongue as the ship kicked into lightspeed and flew off with only the lone Arlox aboard.
Two months into her search without so much of a sign of the lost prince, life aboard the ship had become even lonelier than the pilot anticipated. Biding her time staring out the window in the bridge and fiddling with the short range radio, which had never delivered so much as static. Until the day it did.
At first the pilot hadn't realized it was playing, after all the song was often played on the ship since it was the only one the ship had on file. When she leaned in to switch the radio channel she was shocked to realize it was coming from the radio. At this revelation she quickly positioned herself in the pilot seat, after all who could possibly be broadcasting the Eilian national anthem other than him. Her Prince.
In this part of the galaxy, the only possible source had been right under her nose. Terra. The pilot could wait no longer, and she began to descend onto the planet, following the signal. Then it dawned on the girl. Terra was a primitive society, there would be no place to land. She desperately tried to pull away from the planet, but it was to late and the ship was plummeting towards the ground below. Aiming towards the patch of blue, it was only a moment until the ship hit the liquid surface. Enabling the ship's camouflage, she emerged from the ship. Ready to begin the last chapter of her hunt to bring her friend home.
Getting into the more writing related things, I'd like at least 400 words. However, if one of us were to give say 1200 words, the other should give somewhere near that . I'd like to have posts made at least once a week, and if something comes up to be told rather than having a disappearing act. Also make sure you give me something to work with and I'll do the same.
Other than that, as long as you're respectful towards me, (and I'll do the same,) I'd love to roleplay with you. This is first come first serve, so if you're interested either send me a PM or post in the OOC and we can work things out. ^^

Terror. An emotion Kita had never felt before in her life, but was now overwhelming her as the ship pointed ever more downward towards the blue planet. Pulling up as hard as she could in an effort to save herself, but more importantly the insanely expensive warship from their doom. Still, the nose would budge an inch upwards.
Breaking through the blanket of clouds that had limited her sight, the pilot could now see the quickly approaching ground. Making rough calculations in her head, she yanked the controls hard to starboard. The ships warning system began to go off, the lights flickering on and off. Brace for impact. Ship will make contact in t-10 seconds. 9...8... The girl double checked her belt was securely fastened. 7...6...5...4... A single hand slithered across the console, flicking on the cloaking system. 3...2... The last number was drowned out by the sound of water rushing over the sides of the ship. This was followed moments later by a distinct thump as it hit the bottom of the body of water. A small lake, only the tiniest bit larger than the ship partially submerged in it, was in the perfect position for the ship to make it's landing.
Taking a deep breath, Kita did her best to calm herself down. "Status report." She requested, trying to get a feel for just how much work would have to be done. "Ship functioning at 72% usual level. Severe damage to port backup engine, condition; unusable. Moderate damage to lower decks, condition; in need of a new coat of paint. All other systems functioning at par." A sigh of relief escaped the girls lips. The damage could have been far worse. She was lucky, her stupid mistake could have very well stranded her on the primitive planet.
Eager to begin her search, the girl made her escape. Engaging her personal cloaking device, a projection of what the ship recognized as normal earth clothes. In this case, a bright pink bear costume. Unafraid and feeling invincible, she marched up to the first person she saw in the streets. "Excuse me, I'm here conducting a search on behalf of the Intergalactic Alliance." Have you by any chance seen a little-er well, not so little anymore, boy?"
Frost floats through the air in front of Usao, his every breath expelling a small cloud of it in the brisk morning air. The highschool student was dressed in several layers, but on the surface was a white hoodie with dark gold trim, and grey track pants with running shoes. He was currently out for a run around Tokyo with earbuds blasting techno music into his ears.
He had been out for around an hour under the dreary clouded sky when he finally arrived at his half way point, the outskirts of a national lake. He ran down the edge where he knew a bench sat, and found his way onto it for a rest. He paused his music and took the ear buds out while his heart rate leveled off, but something was off.
He heard the water of the lake make a large woosh sound, and soon saw a wave taller than him come over the bank. He raised his arms to protect his head as the water engulfed him, pressing his back harder onto the bench. The water soon passed but Usao was completely soak.
He sat there a moment, just staring into the back of his drenched bangs now hanging in his face, some water dripping out of his mouth. He soon stood and cursed as he took off his hoodie and his white long sleeve under it to expose his muscled torso. He shook out his hair before ringing out his clothes, but a voice interrupted.
Turning his head around and swinging his golden locks of even more water he spots a girl... or at least he thought it was one. Her words made little to no sense, but her outfit was stranger. A pink bear costume, while not entirely unheard of especially in a city like Tokyo, Usao still found it odd that someone would wear one out in the national parks.
Usao stands up fully straight and rings out his shirt for the last time before putting it back on. "A... boy? Not recently... and what is this Intergalactic Alliance? You from mars or something?"
His voice was sarcastic, but even as he reached down to remove his shoes and socks, he seemed to take it seriously. "Is this boy your brother? Is he wearing something like you are?"

"Hmph, Mars? How rude. Do I look like one of those beasts to you? I'll have you know that those slime balls don't stand a chance of ever working for the Alliance." Kita had only been on the planet for a few minutes and was already eager to live. What kind of person compares someone to one of the disgusting creatures that occupied the red planet? And the first time they met no less. Earth's occupants were already giving off the impression that they were exactly like the Neanderthals scout missions had pegged them as. Complaining would be of no use though, after all, she needed information that only they could give her.
"Of course he's not wearing something like I am, and he's certainly not my brother. A prince should never have to wear such things. I wouldn't expect you to know that though, commoner." Moments earlier Kita had been eager to escape the ship and speak to someone for the first time in months. Obviously she hadn't picked a good person, or planet for that matter. Anyone who didn't know of the Alliance obviously couldn't be very bright. Every child aspired to work for the Alliance, they were heroes after all. Then there's this naive boy daring to compare the elite group to a species incapable of so much as building their own ships. Quite frankly, the girl was ready to tear his throat out for so much as implying that they were on the same tier.
"Honestly, I don't know what he looks like anymore. That should be your job. He's royalty after all, and this is your planet. You should be hosting a parade in his honor right now, he's an esteemed guest after all." It was apparent to the girl that she likely wasn't going to get much help in her search from the planet's inhabitants. Or at least not this one as it seemed.
"I don't have time for this. Have fun finding your boyfriend, princess." In the back of his mind the thought of whatever boy had the poor luck to be stuck with her. They were probably both cosplayers who lost each other around the lake.
Long story short, it wasn't his problem. He didn't bother trying to run, even though he was freezing in the early winter air with still wet clothes his pants would end up clinging to his legs and make it near impossible to keep up a rythme. He walked away from the strange girl following the path back into Tokyo, pulling out his somehow still funtional iPod and blasts more music into his ears.

Kita was stunned to say the least as the human walked right past her. She, an officer of the alliance, the best of the best, a hero among heroes. Then here this human was ignoring her as if she were nothing more than a common house fly. The nerve! Failure to comply with an officer was punishable by death, even if it was something as small as asking if he'd seen the subject of her search. Though, at this point she had probably been stripped of all titles. Still, she would continue to exercise her privileges until her badge was pried from her cold dead hands.
Fine then. She would turn her search elsewhere. Surely there were dozens of people who would jump at the opportunity to speak to an Alliance officer in this park. Scanning her surroundings, she searched for her next informant. However, she was slightly taken aback by the scene. People were strewn across the path coughing, and flashing lights approaching atop the arriving vehicles. If there was one thing the girl had learned, if it appeared like you were the culprit of a crime, even if you actually were, it probably wasn't the best idea to stick around.
So, against her better judgement, she chased the boy. "Look here, Mr., as an officer of the intergalactic Alliance I demand that you assist me." She whipped out her badge, blocking the boy on his way. "It isn't meant to be a choice, by the way. It's an order, if you refuse I'll be forced to arrest you."
"What is your problem?! I don't know who you are or what this Alliance is! Go do your TV show science fiction somewhere else. And for the record that doesn't even look like a real badge."
Now having let off some steam, Usao catches his breath and wait a for the girls response. He doesn't even know what she would do. Now that he thinks about it, she might start crying and run to the police. His face immediately showed his regret and he is hesitant to her reaction.
Reaching out to touch her arm, he tries to soften the mood he had set. "Just ah, don't get too serious with that stuff, you know? I enjoy fiction as much as the next guy, but you can't expect people to deal with someone this early in the morning. Especially in an outfit like that."

The human was speaking loudly now? Was he mad? It certainly seemed like it to Kita. She didn't quite understand why he was being so cruel. Peering down at the badge in her hand, a silent tear slipped down her cheek. Did it really look fake? She didn't think so. Was her entire life's work for a fake looking badge? Had she come all the way here in the line of duty to justify her ownership of a phony badge? Was there even a point in pursuing a lead on a planet where all her achievements meant nothing? It didn't seem like she would begetting much help anyways.
"I...I was just trying to do my job..." The human reached out to touch her, as much she wanted to pull back she was stuck there in stunned silence. He seemed to have lightened up a bit, were humans always this inconsistent?
"What do you mean in an outfit like this? Kita sniffled a bit as an expression of slight confusion spread across her face. "AMOSS scanned Earth media files and determined that this is what the average earthling wears."
He didn't know why he had to explain this to her, but it seemed she needed it. He wasn't even going to ask what an AMOSS was. She had mentioned a job earlier and his curiosity got the better of him. "So what job are you here for? Entertaining a kids birthday party? I didn't think there would be something like that out in this cold weather."
He still didn't buy the space cop routine at all, but he figured it best to slowly strip away this facade until she had no lies left. Normally he would just go home in such cold weather but he had a feeling that this was worth his time somehow.

AMOSS being wrong? Kita thought the notion was ridiculous, however, if appearing more like the human would make him more inclined to help her. With a downward flick of her hand, Kita brought up the AMOSS menu. The biggest perk of her new ship, up until now the artificial intelligence used on the ships had been mediocre in comparison and only active inside the ship. AMOSS, on the other hand, had dozens of charm sized 'children' that allowed each member of the crew to command it wherever they were.
"I find it hard to believe that AMOSS could be wrong, but if you say so... AMOSS, scan and mirror." A moment later, her outfit had changed to be a perfect copy of the human's. Patting herself down making minor adjustments as she went for comforts sake.
"A birthday party? What's that?" The term was foreign to her, maybe that was some sort of elite police group? Judging by the way he had spoken to her, Kita doubted it. "As the guardian of the sixth Prince of Eilias, I'm here on a rescue mission."
Taking a moment to see if the human would finally believe her, a new idea popped into her head. A set of approaching police officers served as motivation for her to make her escape as fast as possible. "Look, I can prove it, but I really need to get out of here now."
His white and gold trimmed hoodie, grey track pants and running shoes didn't seem to fit her at all as they were all too big. She would have trouble walking around in that, not to mention it would make them look like some strange couple. He stares at her with his mouth wide open until she asks about birthday parties. "Um... its the yearly anniversary of a persons birth.... how don't you know about that? Havnt you ever celebrated your birthday?"
He didn't have time for her answer however as she mentioned having to leave and he heard the clicks of police boots behind him. If they started asking questions both of them would end up in a padded room. "I agree, we should move. Hold on!"
With her clothes being g the way they were, he saw no other option. Quickly picking her up he slings her across his back and held onto her legs below with her arms around his neck. He set his feet into the ground and crouched a little lower before starting his run. With an explosion of force he runs full speed away from the scrambling police.
Even in the cold and weighed down he knew he could outrun the cops easy. The city itself was about five kilometers from the lake, which would be tiring but worth the excersise. Only problem was he had to take side roads to escape being caught by the reinforcements in vehicles. As he ran he tried to talk around his breathing techniques. "Ok, so you have technology I've never seen before and claim to be some kind of space cop. Why don't you just use scanners to find... whatever you're looking for... why get me involved?" He jumps over a low wall splitting the side alley like a track hurdle and rounds the corner, starting to get into a part of town with more infrastructure and technology, which means more people around and cars he would have to look out for.
