Vampires have been around for thousands of years; there’s really no document outlining who the first one was or how they came about. People have their theories, but that’s pretty much it. One thing has stayed the same in those thousands upon thousands of years, however. Humans just don’t know about them in the real sense, only the made up stuff they’ve read in various horror novels and bad young adult romance fiction.
Almost all vampires live in Coven’s divided by subdivisions of the city they reside in. Some are violent, some aren’t. The Covens are just a simple way for the Master Vampires assigned to their respective country to keep track of those under them. It gets sort of complicated to do that if vampires go rogue, however. The rules of the road are if you’re rogue, well, you’re free game to do whatever to without consequence.
Now, at the head of all this is one very important and powerful person – the Head Master vampire. They’re the boss of everyone and calls every single big shot there is, though, they do seek advice from their council some of the time. The council is comprised of ten strong vampires, both holding a powerful gift. They also act as commanders to help train the elite army that was set up to protect the Head Vampire, should there ever be a reason to, such is the case currently.
The Head Master has gained information that someone is going to possibly attempt to overthrow her. Now, it could all be speculation and rumour, but it’s not a chance she’s willing to take.
