Introduction
This role-play is based off 19th century (1800s) Eastern Europe, but also mixes the 14th to 18th centuries as well, essentially a mix of pseudo-history, historic fiction, fiction, anachronism, steampunk, folklore, and fantasy, to maximize freedom of imagination whilst also providing a sense of direction, in this case, focused on Romania and Vlad III, who is also referred to as Dracula, Vlad Tepes or The Impaler.
Note that this is the first time I am (attempting) to role-play at RolePlayGateway, so I may fail to fulfill expectations, and there will be occasional typos here and there. Users are allowed to step in and add characters at will, so long as they fit a fantasy theme. If you have any questions, suggestions, criticisms or corrections, or anything else, feel welcome to private message me or post in the forums.
There are potentially many active subplots that will take place in the role-play, which you can choose from to be a start for your character or your group, or create your own introduction or quest, or simply drop into the role-play as a character or a group and go with the flow without a story or reason. All subplots, characters and storylines will eventually merge into the finale if they do not begin together or trail off, or I will at least try to merge everything gradually. The easiest way to role-play is to post in the place Romania, which includes all of the country as a whole, and so involves all minor areas, factions, subplots, and whatnot, too.
For simplicity, the world is based off a fantastical equivalent to the real one, so that in case users get lost or need a sense of location, they can go on Google Maps. Romania exhibits steep mountains, coniferous forests, gorges, and rivers, and is quite a beautiful country.
This role-play merges the Deluge, Ottoman invasions, and the Napoleonic Wars together. While Napoleon campaigns in Western Europe, the Swedes, Prussians, Russians, Tartars, Cossacks and Ottomans raid and plunger Poland and Lithuania. The Ottomans also invade and raid the Balkans and Eastern Europe, and Transylvania—where Dracula resides—is no exception.
Despite so much war, Dracula's dark powers are at work, like a ghostly wolf stalking in the shadows, and no-one knows what to expect. Meanwhile, many other things are going on: Sherlock Holmes, the creature of Frankenstein, Mr. Hyde, Van Helsing, Jack the Ripper, and assassins from the Ottoman Empire also seem to be making their way to Romania (their storylines are described farther on). All of this can only be a royal headache for Dracula, but as a prince, a knight, and a voivode, he will be ready for anything.
If you have a character who already fits a steampunk, Old West, fantasy, medieval, Renaissance, or former world environment, that is probably good enough to get started. Continue reading the forum threads of the role-play if you are not sure where to start, would like a sense of direction or a story to work with, or if you simply are interested in a greater understanding of the world.

The title of the role-play is a reference to Vlad Dracul, the father of Vlad III.
Bio example
Mieczyslaw Krzywczynski
Physical appearance: Rather unremarkable in everything, but fit and strong despite being in his mid-forties. Has short black hair and green eyes, a large black moustache, thick black eyebrows, and the sides of his head are shaved, as was common hairstyle of his day.
Personality: Unremarkable in everything, a rather stoic and lenient fellow, neither quick to rage nor peace. He just goes with the flow.
Equipment & Abilities: Armoured as a Winged Hussar but the armour is black, and the towering feathers are black. Instead of a leopard skin, he wears the pelt of a black panther over his armour, so that the snarling head is over his helm. Armed with a battleaxe, szabla, a pouch at his side holding a composite bow and quiver, and two reiter pistols. His blackened armour, towering feathers, and snarling black panther pelt gives him an imposing appearance. Like other nobles, rides a horse, named Kruk ("Raven" in Polish), a pitch-black stallion.
History: A nobleman from Poland, who decided he had enough of invaders, and set out on his own adventure to fight the enemy, but quickly strayed off-course and just did whatever he wanted. He was an easily recognizable warrior, nicknamed Czarna Pantera (“Black Panther”) in his native country for his black armour and pelt. During his adventures, he fought various enemies, from Swedes to Tartars, Ottomans to Wallachians, and is an experienced, but minor, commander.
With him are a ragtag entourage of about a hundred mercenaries, consisting of Germans, Ruthenians, Swedes, Lithuanians, and some hajduks from the Balkans. For cavalry, he has twenty lisowczycy and ten Tartars. In total, he commands 130 soldiers: 100 infantry and 30 cavalry.
Other info: Like most Poles, he is Roman Catholic.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 4 authors
He listened to Ioan's words as the first came upon him and struck well. It became systematic, in a sense, as more came– though they were never the exact same in their tactics, it was clear that they had little variation between them. Tamás got into the rhythm of it quickly, glancing to see Horváth stomping a demon into the ground, answering the growl of another with a hiss, as if to say, 'I'm coming for you next.'
"Lord Luca, I think you're making the floor shake," he said, only half in jest– for it did feel a little like the ground beneath them was shaking.
Horváth answered something that sounded a lot like, 'bite me', as another wave of demons crawled forth to say hello. The soldiers dealt with most of them, while Horváth locked eyes with the one from earlier, who had watched her crack the skull of it's companion. It had seemingly learned her main technique as he lunged between her legs and made a grab for her ankles, seeking to use her strength against her and topple her over. Horváth made an annoyed grunt as she tried to wrench her legs free, turning into a shout as the thing opened his mouth to bite her shin. Remembering that she had indeed carried a sword with her into the mausoleum, she turned the blade down and executed the creature swiftly.
Tamás, meanwhile, was for a moment thrown off by Horváth's struggle and earned a slash to his arm that his half-plate couldn't protect him from. He cried out in pain as he brought his sword down on the offender, looking up to see Horváth staring at him.
"I can feel your smugness through the helmet," he snapped. "Shut up."
Horváth shrugged. "Seems to me like you should be more observant, sir knight."
Horváth was not too amused, sometimes hissing back at the demons, beheading one as it—presumably—bit around her greave, and Tamás made a few jokes, but was hurt in the arm.
A sneakier Cradle Demon slithered from behind everyone, so Ioan sprang to action, the demon raising its bladed arms and hissing, swatting its arms side to side. The squire immediately swung his blade upward, cutting into what he assumed to be the creature's forearm, the creature growling and slashing its other arm at Ioan's breastplate and doing nothing. Ioan then stabbed his sword into the demon's mouth, blade poking out the back of its head, and that was the end of that.
Bayonets stabbed, swords slashed, and bagpipes wailed, as did some demons. Most of the Cradle Demons kept their distance, but were still obviously afraid of the unnatural sound. The redcoats kept their iron discipline, sometimes parrying with their bayonets and then thrusting, all ten pounds of musket ramming its bayonet home with great force, and marched upon a few Cradle Demons. The bagpiper sometimes aimed his instrument by tilting his body at the Cradle Demons sliding towards him, and it kept them at bay, humorously enough!
About twenty Cradle Demons slithered close to one another, looking like they were ready to charge, the redcoats and knights ready, but then, the Cradle Demons got scared and slithered away, something big audibly moving underneath the floor, sounding like... a galloping horse? Few by few, all the other demons scurried away, the bagpiper playing away, and then a section of the flooring cracked and broke apart, and down the humans and some dead demons fell.
The fall broke by a slanted, rocky hill or something, steep enough to cause everyone to roll down it, unable to do anything. After perhaps twenty seconds of tumbling, everyone rolled onto a flat section of... sand?
“Ohh!” a redcoat groaned, picking himself up.
“Mrs. Croft, are you alright?” an engineer asked Amanda.
“I think I broke something...” Squire Ioan remarked, and when he raised his hand, he was holding an ancient arm, held together only by the sleeve it slept in.
As the dust settled, it turned out this subterranean area was lit by numerous skull-torches along the walls, seemingly lighting up on their own, flames flickering out the eye sockets and jaws. The skull-torches along the walls were spaced apart by perhaps twenty feet, leaving batches of lit ground here and there, but also batches of shadowy spots.
Along the walls were endless arrays of stone coffins, some broken, others missing lids, inside skeletons and loose bones. Along the bottom of the outer walls seemed to be numerous cells, where skeletons and decomposed bodies had tried to squeezed themselves through the bars, but they always had missing heads and an arm or two. Skulls and rotting heads were on the sand here and there. Strewn along the path were dismembered limbs and cleaved torsos, apparently having ran away in the same direction.
Once all the skull-torches lit up, the torchlight revealed, apparently, an underground hippodrome, perhaps five hundred metres long, two hundred metres wide, and the centre consisting of a series of obelisks, with many piles of corpses and skeletons arranged against the obelisks. All around the obelisks were crucified bodies and skeletons, but some had undergone vertical impalement, or were hanging by the ends of hooks suspended from a horizontal beam connected to a post. Some of the executed people were half-buried in corpses in piles of bones. A huge pond of blood had formed under all those bodies. The stadium smelled rather bad, unsurprisingly.
As everyone regained their senses, a few dead Cradle Demons who fell with them lying with them here and there, everyone felt the sandy ground rumble. Something big was coming. The ground shaking more and more strongly, the echoes of screeching wheels and thunderous hooves sounded, resonating throughout the stadium, even causing the walls of the underground to vibrate enough for dust to fall.
The rumbling was then accompanied by powerful, demonic neighing that echoed, and then everyone could see what was coming: a giant, black, chariot, the wagon itself covered with metal plates and spikes, the axles consisting of long scythed blades, and the top rim of the chariot also had scythed blades turning outwards from the wagon. Four huge skinned horses pulled the chariot, each horse appearing to be undead and missing eyeballs, blood constantly leaking out their mouths, noses and eye sockets, and their horseshoes spiked on the underside and outside. Even the horses' bridles and saddles were attached with curved blades.
The charioteer:

He was a ten-foot-tall undead, half-rotted demon, a large plate apparently riveted over his snouty face. He wore spiky pauldrons riveted into his collar bones, spiky vambraces, metal armbands, and a buckled skirt, and wielded a rather huge axe, which he held in one hand, the blade dripping blood; that must have been what chopped Sir Anton in half in a single swipe. The demon's mouth was constantly leaking blood, and he gripped the reins of all four horses with just his right hand, and was obviously an extremely powerful monsters, though his chest was quite exposed, no skin or flesh anywhere at the front of the rib cage. He let his wings trail along behind him as his chariot gently rode along.
“I have a feeling bagpipes won't be enough to keep him away...” a redcoat remarked.
Mouth suddenly opening, the demon howled with such force blood gushed out his mouth, and his howl echoed throughout the hippodrome. He whipped the reins and got his infernal horses into a gallop, chariot creaking and scraping along, the wagon's and horses' scythed blades whirring in the air. As the chariot shook and its wheels screeched, the demon waved his axe overhead in a circular motion, eager to start hacking people apart. By the looks of it, he intended to drive his chariot as to run over people!
“Nope, bagpipes won't be keeping him away!” Ioan shouted, then looked side to side, wondering what to do as the chariot raced towards everyone! The slope everyone rolled down was too steep to climb, but at the least, he could try jumping out of the way...
"Miss Croft, are you alright?" Asked the engineer.
"I'm fine..." Amanda said
Then the ground began to shake and Amanda's eyes went wide with fear as she saw the chariot.
"I have a feeling bagpipes won't be enough to keep him away...” a redcoat remarked.
Amanda had to agree as the demon driver let out a wail and began to charge.
“Nope, bagpipes won't be keeping him away!” Ioan shouted
"Run! Find cover! " Amanda yelled before running. She looked from side to side as she heard gunshots and the yells of men screaming. She looked back only long enough to aim a quick shot at what she hoped was the demon driver's heart. She then kept running unsure if her shot had even hit. She was about out of breath when something hit her from the back.
It was the engineer yelling " ma'am get down" as she tackled her the two women crashing into one of the body piles. Amanda could only pray that at least some of her other troops still lived .
The female engineer tackled into Croft and they fell upon the corpses as scythed blades shrieked over them; the other musketeers ran off to the sides and jumped away as the demon dragged his axe along, skipping along the ground, and swung it at the infantry, but missed due to its ecstatic behaviour.
“AAHHH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH!” the demon bellowed, his voice so powerful it echoed throughout the stadium.
The chariot raced onward, Tamás gripping his sword by the handle and blade, so that when the demon charioteer drove across him, he could parry the axe as it swung at him with greater grip and stability; he then jumped backwards to avoid the curved blades covering the damn chariot.
Horváth, who seemed to portray unusual, crazy ideas, immediately ran in front of the chariot, dropping onto her knees and sticking her blade out sideways, intending to lop a horse's legs off or hamstring or hock it, but the horse seemed to read her mind, and jumped over her swung great sword! She immediately went flat face-down, the noisy chariot driving overhead, horses hooves thudding against the earth and wheels screeching, but she was too low against the ground to be harmed. Ioan ran to the demon's right side to avoid its big axe, and jumped out of its way.
The demonic charioteer continued driving and laughing louder, the chariot picking up speed, wheels and shaking frame echoing as well. It seemed that the charioteer intended to race throughout the entire length of the course, and so would drive around the obelisks and eventually reappear later on, racing clockwise. Thus, there was some time to prepare. However, up above, Cradle Demons writhed down the sloped underground hill, like menacing slugs, but even they would require sometime reaching the hippodrome.
Immediately, once able, the redcoats started reloading their muskets, putting cartridges down the barrel and ramming them down with a ramrod, but they were ready to lunge bayonets home at any moment.
“Eh, methinks we should load multiple bullets down our guns, that way we can fire a powerful barrage of bullets.” one redcoat suggested.
“But then ya'd have ta wait until the chariot's up-close! I'd rather have long-range accurate shots, I plan to shoot a horse in-between the eyes.” another said. Horses were powerful animals, and weapons designed to kill humans may not be as effective as for large animals, but if their means of locomotion was pierced by bullets, they would immediately fall.
Ioan got up himself once he realized he wasn't dead, rather surprised by how many piles of dead people there were. How long was this going on? The chariot echoed in the distance, and the Cradle Demons slithering down from above hissed and screeched as well. They would immediately charge once they reached the stadium; although they could crawl faster than a man could run, without legs, they were not agile or manoeuvrable, incapable of swiftly moving sideways. Of course, the bagpiper could simply start playing again, which would debilitate the demons; perhaps if he timed it right, he could frighten the Cradle Demons at a certain moment that would leave them vulnerable to something?
“We better start doing something fast!” Ioan shouted, sword in one hand and dagger in the other, but this time, he was rather out of ideas.
The various beams of wood nearby could be rearranged to make into something useful, if the engineers were crafty and worked quickly. The sand looked very fine and loose...
These would be Horváth's first words as they descended below. She might be a bloodthirsty heathen with battle experience, but even she was beginning to feel as though she was in over her head. When her (absolutely brilliant, shut up Tamás) plan failed, she almost felt a sting of helplessness. Needless to say, she abhorred that feeling, and so immediately replaced it with fury. Her first instinct was to go for the legs of the horse, which any sane person would have to agree was a great plan– had it not been for the fact that it failed. When the chariot had passed overhead she struck a fist into the sand and let out a frustrated cry, but she was on her feet before long, refusing to back down.
"Suggestions?" she looked to the others
"Give up knighthood and become a farmer," Tamás replied dryly– the echoes of their enemies disappearing in the distance while the Cradle Demons seemed to have found them again.
"Ha-ha," Horváth spat, nodding at Ioan's outburst. "Someone give me a way to kill that thing, in the face, before I loose my temper."
"Eloquent as always, my Lord," Tamás said, taking a defensive stance in the direction from which the demons were crawling. He chanced a look around, trying to think. "Miss Croft, perhaps your men could fashion a barricade out of that wood? With enough guns, and the bagpipe to boot, we could hold off the demons?"
"What about the chariot?" Horváth asked
"I was rather hoping you'd have a plan for that."
She paused for a moment. "I would like to follow it."
"That I don't doubt, however I'm worried the barricade will be useless against it if he should return."
"Well, squabbling about it won't buy us time," Horváth said.
Tamás bit his lip, looking at Ioan. "What do you think?"
Amanda looked up to see the cradle demons coming closer and pointed to her bagpiper and on cue he started to play.
Amanda turned back to the others "gather up the wood maybe we can fashion it into spikes and impale the horses or something...I'm about out of ideas here..."
“I'm going to grab a big chunk of wood and throw it into the legs of the horses when I can, but first we must deal with those Cradle Demons.” Ioan said.
The bagpipe music disorientated the Cradle Demons, who were still unused to those odd, unnatural noises, though they were beginning to have a hunch it was harmless noise. As such, several slid down from the inclined slope leading to this area, and began to wiggle across the ground, heading for the intruders.
Amanda Croft had ordered the bagpiper to play a tune, and her engineers went to work, making a barricade of wooden spikes. They hammered the stakes into the ground, then sharpened the end sticking out, with such efficiency that all of a sudden several stakes were arranged into a simple barricade. In the meantime, her infantry loaded their muskets with multiple shots, which surely would cause some damage especially at close-range.
“The sand is fine enough to be dug into, we might be able to dig some holes or small trenches.” an engineer remarked.
A dozen or so Cradle Demons slithered to the scene, slithering faster than a man could run, raising their bladed arms and chopping them repeatedly while hissing or growling. Ioan sprang to action, skipping to the side to dodge one charging demon, then twirling his arming sword to fence with two demons as they squirmed passed him, and he would constantly skip side to side, utilizing footwork to keep his distance and so prevent being swarmed. He had a habit of frequently attacking the forearms of the demons.
The other Cradle Demons, retaining their speed, intended to charge into Horváth and Tamás, as well as the redcoats, but there was enough time to react to the charge. The grinding and creaking of the chariot echoed in the distance...
Iced Fire and Crichton: reacting to the charge of the Cradle Demons
The charging Cradle Demons are going for your characters at rather high-speed, so you can react to them however you wish, and then, to keep things simple and prevent grinding in one scene, I will decide the outcome of your choices. You can autohit/godmode/powerplay against the demons if you wish, but this will leave you with more work you don't have to do (ig., if you don't have the time due to real-life). In case you need some hints:
The Cradle Demons can move very fast but their bodily shape means they can't swerve or turn quickly, so they can be out-manoeuvred
The barricade can also be used as a defensive structure simply by standing behind them
A handful of sand can be grabbed and thrown into the eyes of a demon
The redcoats can fire their muskets at point-blank range; the multiple shots will surely rip apart anything, but firearms discharged now may not the time to reload for the incoming charioteer
Bayonets are useful for stopping charging foes; since muskets during this time were a bit taller than the average man, the redcoats and simply point their muskets forth, presenting bayonets, and await to stick the charging demons
The charioteer will run over anything in his way, so you may be able to draw some Cradle Demons out into the path when the charioteer comes
Disabling a single horse's leg will cause the horse to fall, and so make the chariot collapse
The bagpiper may be able to suddenly play his instrument with greater vigour at a certain time to distract the Cradle Demons
She reloaded her pistol as she spoke to the bagpiper "play loud and fast we have to keep those things away to have any chance at this."
" What about the driver?" Asked a redcoat
" Leave that bloody sob to me" she said raising her pistol as soon as the demon showed his face she would plant a bullet in its forehead ( or try to at least).
He nodded to Amanda. "You can count on us."
“Let's hope you're right,” Horváth said, gripping her sword with both hands as a Cradle Demon advanced toward them at unnatural speed.
She made quick work of the first two to reach them, but couldn't help but to look up to check if the chariot was within sight. A third demon managed to get hold of her leg, toppling her over. Horváth lost her footing and fell as it pulled her down, dropping her sword in the scuffle. She took hold of the loose sand as she felt a pair of teeth sink into her knee, pulling herself up and throwing it its eyes. The creature screeched and pulled away, just in time for Tamás to cut in half.
“Just a scratch,” Horváth said as he stared at her.
She found her sword in the sand and winced behind her mask as she got up on her legs. Tamás followed his routine from earlier to keep the creatures at bay. In the distance the sound of the chariot was drawing nearer. Amanda was poised to take care of the driver, but would that take care of the chariot?
Horváth straightened as she beheaded another one of the demons. She had tried to disable the horses before but found her actions unfruitful. However, perhaps if she was more careful this time– observed more. She would remain with Tamás to defend the barricade for now, but the minute that chariot was within sight she'd be attempting her move from earlier– attacking the horses. She'd disable the bastards from underneath the chariot if she had to, she might even be lucky enough not to get the whole thing in her face.
“Okay, okay, okay,” Tamás closed his eyes for a moment, trying to think. If they didn't find a way soon they would probably perish like the others— what use was a rescue troupe if it was dead? “Ioan is right. We need to deal to these first. The chariot sounds as though it's a while away still.”
He nodded to Amanda. "You can count on us."
“Let's hope you're right,” Horváth said, gripping her sword with both hands as a Cradle Demon advanced toward them at unnatural speed.

Amanda planned for her infantry to go behind the stakes and save their shots for the incoming charioteer, whilst the knightly members would fight the Cradle Demons. A short-range barrage of multiple muskets loaded with multiple shots would indeed have a devastating effect. Mrs. Croft herself would give the charioteer a shot in the forehead. The bagpiper played whatever tune he did with as much vigour as he could muster, the noise surely would be at least slightly debilitating for the approaching demons, and so they would keep their distance from the noisy, scary thing.
Meanwhile, Tamás and Horváth remarked their thoughts.
“Alright, we can do it, let's go! Those Cradle Demons sure as hell are not capturing me!” Ioan shouted.
Immediately, Horváth went into the fray, killing two, got taken down for a moment, then Tamás finished the attacker off. The two knights fought on, Ioan preforming his usual fighting style, relying on parrying Cradle Demons' bladed arms and then hacking into their hands or face, while constantly moving around to avoid their charges.
The bagpiper's music did work, as most Cradle Demons seemed to want to avoid it altogether. The two knights and Ioan defended the barricade and stakes, as did the engineers with their axes, the musketeers ready to shoot, but they sometimes used their bayonets to stab at the Cradle Demons who got too close.
Cradle Demons busily fighting the knights, and Horváth planning to attack the horses from underneath, the demonic charioteer soon reappeared, shouting laughter so loud that his voice boomed. Amanda had shot him in the sternum earlier, though he did not seem to care, probably because he was undead.
Undead, skinless horses neighing, chariot wheels screeching, and the chariot creaking, the demon approached the scene with greater speed and eagerness than before, swinging his rather huge berdiche around and around in the air.
The redcoats waited, muskets forwards, the soldiers standing like bricks amidst a storm, unflinching from the sight of the incoming demonic chariot and its ungodly noises. Horváth used the advantage of her immense height to keep the Cradle Demons at bay, swinging her great sword to and fro, but was ready to attack the chariot when able.
Once the chariot was too close for comfort, everyone feeling the ground shaking, Amanda aimed her revolver, and the redcoats were signalled to fire, and they unleashed a short-ranged volley of multiple shots. Bullets having been loaded up to the tip of the barrel, a single musket fired like that is bad enough, but multiple muskets loaded so is quite terrible.
Several dozen bullets erupted forth, spraying a large area, some bullets striking or bouncing along the sand, others missing, but many struck the front of the horses, making them look like pincushions, bits of their jawbone and skull broken off. At the same time, Amanda fired her revolver, the bullet striking the demon's face-plate, going through it, and into its brain; the demon writhed with a growl.
After the volley, time seemed to slow down: the horses legs had also been hit, bones cracking, but the beasts ran on, holes in their chests and heads spurting blood at every heartbeat, with each step they took damaging their legs farther, until the bones wetly cracked apart, but the weight of the moving chariot pushed the horses onward. The beasts were in the instance of collapsing upon their own shattered legs.
Out of nowhere, Horváth jumped over the barricade, and when she landed, swung her sword sideways while bending her knees and rotating her hips with her swing, and literally loped off three legs in total, maiming the two front horses just as the chariot crashed into her; the two horses at the front instantly face-planted the ground, the horses behind tripping, and the chariot ramming into the earth and flipped over, and so hurling the charioteer through the air, who made a roar midair.
“Look out!” a redcoat shouted.
The undead demon spread his wings, as if to glide, but having a hole in his head prevented him from thinking straight, and he just ended up flopping upon the barricade, front landing on the stakes as the redcoats jumped to the side. The bagpiper had also dodged, and for a second, could not blow any more air, his bagpipe wheezing to silence, and at that, the Cradle Demons charged, scythe-bladed arms raised and chopping repeatedly, but they simply slithered into bayonets and were stuck by them. Nevertheless, the Cradle Demons writhed up the bayonets and continued chopping at the redcoats anyways!
Writhing on the stake, the demon quickly pulled himself out, stood firm, and began swinging his axe in both hands around and around, hissing as blood leaked out the gunshot to his forehead, the immense curved blade whirring through the air, forcing the redcoats and engineers to jump away and keep their distance, lest be divided!
Lost by rage and impetus, the demon was so engrossed by his violence he even began swinging his axe into nearby Cradle Demons, each swing cutting through the fleshy slug-bodies without any problem. The demon seemed to be in a state of such aggression, he was oblivious to the world, but now it was just acting like a blender!
Horváth emerged from the wreckage of the chariot, bits of wood and horse bones fluttering off her armour. The undead horses that had their legs shot and then maimed kicked and writhed as they lied on the ground, whilst the two at the back tried to get up, but were still harnessed to the chariot. She noticed the demon flinging his mighty berdiche like a savage whirlwind, and had a feeling it would not be easy to get up-close to him, especially since he stood upon the barricade, but only Horváth was tall enough to stand a chance...
Iced Fire and Crichton,
Currently, Tamás, Ioan, Amanda and the redcoats are presumably fighting the Cradle Demons while avoiding the demon's mighty axe and aggression; you can still godmode against the Cradle Demons
The demon is currently preoccupied with his blind rage; although blind, he reacts to loud noises, suggesting that with some clever formations, he may be drawn off the barricade and into a more exposed area within a formation, but there may be enough time for the musketeers and Amanda to quickly reload their guns
The undead demon is blind and whirling his axe about; it will be difficult to fight this demon in a direct confrontation, due to his extreme height and length of his axe; watching this video below may give Horváth a few ideas of how she may utilize her great sword, especially near the end...

(although the cutting techniques [good cutting technique is when you bring your sword back up to defend yourself] are rather poor, the effects are undoubtedly brutally powerful)

Clans of Dwarves inhabit the various mountains, in this case, the Carpathians. They border vampiric territory but don't seem to care.
Vargr tribes
Tribes of werewolves locked in their monster form eventually set-up into tribes, and behave as wolves do. Dangerous and brutal, these literal werewolves are called Vargrs, to differentiate them from typical victims of lycanthropy.
