Personality

Takiyama Sensei is a complete push-over of a teacher. All it takes is one look for him to crack and give in to anything since he hates to make anyone unhappy or get into an argument. Of course, that makes him a "Great Teacher" in the students' minds, since they can manipulate him into doing whatever they want, however he often gets scolded by administration because of his inability to control his classes. But, when he really can teach, Hiro is energetic and passionate, History being a loved subject his whole life. When he starts to speak, however, he talks fast and will jump from subject to subject quickly with little to no transition between them, leaving the listener only hearing a piece of each of his thoughts.

It isn't uncommon for Hiro to come to work ill, coughing and sneezing regularly throughout the length of the school year. He has an extremely weak immune system, paired with extreme mental exhaustion, causing him to catch everything under the sun and making him have to wear a medical mask almost one hundred percent of the time to try to put at least a little resistance between him and the outside world. It is very easy to see how ill he is, depending on the day, with dark circles under his eyes and extremely pale skin. It isn't rare to find him sleeping at his desk, which is full of random drug store medicines, during lessons that have gone amiss because he had not been able to sleep the night before.

Bio

Hiro had a bit of a hard life growing up. Not because his family was bad or anything of the sorts, but because of his constant ill state and ADHD-like symptoms (And the fact that he could move stuff just by thinking about it, but the adults didn't know that.) His mother had tried everything throughout his childhood, dragging him to every doctor in the country (And sometimes out of) trying to prescribe him medications he didn't need. They were all calming medicines, ones to make the brain sluggish and lazy, but they had never effected Hiro, who would still twitch in his chair at school and yell out things at random because he had such a hard time keeping all his thoughts inside his head at once. They would medicate him to no end and then yell at him for its ineffectiveness.

Even with that problem, there was one person who would never raise their voice at him, never got angry when he skipped sentences. That was his high school history teacher. Hiro would sit in the history class all day, avoiding his other lessons just to listen to the teacher speak, to learn everything that teacher had to say. That soon grew to be his passion. After high school, he got his teaching degree in only a few short years and BlossomCrest, only a few years old at the time, was a rumor that was floating around. A place for people with special abilities to live free? Sounded like heaven to Hiro, so he applied for a job there as soon as he could.

Other

Power: Hyperactive Mind - Thinking at a million miles a minute, Hiro's thoughts never rest. This is most apparent when he starts to speak, often jumping from subject to subject at random. His eyes flick around the room, trying to look at everything at once, and take in as much information as it can. His brain capacity is a lot larger than a normal humans and he is extremely intelligent because of this. The effects of this give him symptoms akin to ADHD. But, most noticeably, because he uses more than the usual 5% of the brain normal humans do, he is able to move objects with his mind, but over use of his mind throughout the day leaves him constantly ill and exhausted.

X Even though he has very poor health, he has picked up the habit of smoking and can often be found out in the courtyard having a smoke while classes are in session (He class probably already gone haywire by then)

(OOC: Okay... this turned out to be a novel... I won't normally do this, hell, this is the longest post I've ever made in my life. I normally do 2 or 3 paragraphs! For those who are too lazy to read all the way through, it's just summing up how she feels about the school, her getting there, the orientation, and dropping her things off at the front of her dorm. After everyone makes their entrance post, I'll start the orientation.)

Anaru was suddenly awaken by the loud screech of her alarm clock. She groaned in frustration as she slammed her fist on the top of the clock, eventually hitting the snooze button. Once again, she had a restless night. Mostly because she stayed up until 2:00 AM, forgetting about her first day of school, but details, details. After succeeding to turn off the alarm, she stood up and started her morning schedule.

After taking her morning shower, Anaru dressed up in a pale pink dress with a white, see-threw laced overcoat. After slipping on her shoes, grabbing a wrapped muffin, and swinging her backpack over her shoulders, she opened the door and started walking the pathway to a taxi stop.

As she was waited for the taxi to arrive to take her to her new school, she thought about all the new people she'd see. People like her. Although she felt joy and excitement by the thought, she was awfully anxious. For all she knew, these different people with abilities or types of human-like species could be practically insane! The thought of all the chaos made her feel like there was a knot in her stomach. Nevertheless, she's not hesitating to get out of that stupid apartment and out to see a new area, maybe even starting fresh.

Eventually, the taxi arrived. She crawled in and set her book bag down beside her as she took out a dull scrap of paper. She handed it to the 'taxi driver' and waited for his response. After a few moments, he handed the paper back to Anaru and nodded. She took the paper back, stuffed it into her backback's side pocket, and slouched into her chair as they drove off.
------------------------------------

Hours had passed, and Anaru's worries about the school are now in the back of her mind. Honestly, the only thing she is worried about now is how much money she's going to have to pay for the taxi driver. She glanced out the window and her eyes widened in astonishment. It looked like something out of a fairy tail; lakes with swans, vines wrapped around pillars, and cherry blossoms everywhere. Then again, it is called BlossomCrest.

After finding relief that she didn't have to pay the taxi driver for such a long and risky drive, she stepped out of the car. She scanned her surroundings as she stood at the front entrance of the school. The big clock planted above the school doors says 9:00 AM, meaning there is one hour until the orientation starts. It even said on the flier that they'd announce on the intercom when it's time for all the students to gather up in a certain area. So while she waited, she decided to roll her suitcase around to find her dorm.

After finding her dorm, she left her suitcase up against her dorm's door. Not exactly the brightest idea, but she didn't have a key. Students would receive their keys for their dorms as soon as the orientation ends. They say it's a way to make sure students don't skip the orientation. After dropping everything off, she wandered around the school.

Hiro Takiyama

Hiro sat hunched over his desk, his head rested on a pile of still-unfinished forms and lesson plans. It was only the first day of school and he was getting behind on his work, but no one from administration would expect any different. They knew him all too well in a the few years he had been working, and rarely rushed him. Truthfully, Hiro was trying his best to be a good teacher, to get stuff done, but last night, as he tried to completely the mountains of work last minute, his mind had went off on an unforgiving tangent until he passed out from exhaustion.

Even now, as he snoozed at his desk in his dark classroom, pens and paper weights twitched ever so slightly, ready to fling off into the ceiling at a moments notice.

That is, until the PA system clicked on announcing loudly that the orientation was going to begin soon and that everyone should start making their ways to the auditorium. Hiro woke with a start, the odds and ends that threatened to fly slammed down on the desk was so much force, Hiro thought they might crack the wood. Thank god they didn't, Hiro wasn't about to ask the dean for another one after what happened last time. Children shooting fire around the classroom is all fun and games until the teacher's desk bursts into sad flames, and said teacher gets screamed at for hours on end.

With a cough, an adjustment of his glasses, and some rolling down of the sleeves of his sweater, Hiro rose from his desk and collected his papers. None of them were done, and some of the ink on them was smeared from where he slept, but at least it will make him look busy. He crammed them all into his bag unceremoniously, and slung it over his shoulder, ready to make his way to the, most likely, loud and rowdy auditorium.

To say the least, Hiro dragged his feet a bit, his eyes flicking about as he passed students and staff alike. He loved kids, he really did, and teaching was great, but this year was going to be the same as his last two. He could just feel it.

Hiro ducked his head as he passed a small group of students gathering near the front of the school. They seemed to be getting along well, so he didn't want to be the old stickler that ruins the flow to everything. Even in passing, his eyes flicked around the small group of students, trying to take in any information he could. There were a few girls, a few taller boys, and... A child? At least, the boy looked like a child. Maybe he was the brother of one of the other students, Hiro tried to reason for such a young child at a high school, though the kid really had no resemblance to any other in the group. Deciding to leave it be, Hiro adjusted his mask and hunched his shoulders up like he was trying to defend himself against a nonexistent chill, continuing his way.

Shoving open the doors to the auditorium, it was exactly what he had expected. Loud, deafening even, with the hollers and laughter of students, both new and old. Hiro had never liked loud places, they disrupted his already jumbled thoughts, and he preferred to skirt away from such places. But today was a day that he couldn't just skip out, he reminded himself with some annoyance. Or, at the very least, he couldn't be caught skipping out on it.

Starting to back away from the door, unsure if he could really deal with being inside for the orientation, he glanced over his shoulder, back into the hall at the sound of resounding heels. Miss Akiyama, as well put together as ever, clicked her way across the shined surface of the corridor, and anxious-looking student in tow. She always made Hiro feel a bit self conscious, his constant sickness making him always look like death itself when he came to work. Well, maybe Mr. Norling beat him out of that one, being a ghost and all, but you get the picture.

"Ah, good morn-" Hiro's eyes flicked to the student and back as he became distracted, before he screwed up his face in concentration, trying to remember what he had been saying, "Oh! Morning! Good morning." He amended as they approached, bowing his head in more of a fidget than with grace for a greeting, and moving back to hold the door open for the both of them. He took this opportunity as an excuse to take a moment longer to decide if he truly wished to enter or not. Even teachers got nervous on the first day, right?

"Yes, sir. It'll be alright. You'll make friends. There is a lot of kind people here. I'm sure you'll be fine." Despite the cheery air she had on her, Dale couldn't help but slump a little at that. This was one of the reasons why he found being around Miss Akiyama awkward. Dale was a cynic. He followed the philosophy of 'expect the worst' to the letter. If he saw clouds in the sky, it was going to rain. If his throat felt sore, he must have caught pneumonia. And if someone looked at him funny, they were gonna mug him. The idea of trying to anticipate something going more wrong than it actually is was just another little survival mechanism that he had picked up over the years. Which, naturally, meant that he ended up at a bit of a loss when dealing with someone as genuinely nice and optimistic as her. Never the less he hurried after her as she led him too his dorm room.

"You can just put your belongings up against the door, as I see everyone else is doing." She stated. Dale gave said door, and the other bags in the hall, a pointedly skeptical look. Yeah... he wasn't going to doubt for a second that someone was going to try to nick off with anything left out in the open. Might was well put up a sign that said 'Free stuff' while he was at it. Setting his bag down next the door way and kneeling beside it, Dale held out his tattooed hand open above it.

Reaching into himself, brushing pass a familiar presence, he pulled out a little bit of his own essence and cast it off into the astral plane to act as a lure. With a few short seconds of pulsing the energy, he managed to catch hold of something and pull it forward. A tiny little glowing ball, no wider than a dime. The spirit, called a will-o-wisp, was then silently instructed to guard his bag and not let anyone else touch it. While Dale honestly didn't own that much of value in it, he'd rather prefer to keep to old habits and not let what was effectively the majority of his worldly belongs get carried off.

Momoko seemed too distracted with checking the time to notice what he was doing, and was already moving off toward the auditorium by the time he finished. Dale, a bit panicked when he saw she had already started moving, actually had to jog a bit to catch up with her. He still didn't know his way around this place. When he did catch up, he unconsciously flinched back and fell back behind her when another teacher came into view. He kicked himself mentally for that. He was really going to have to get out of his habit of amusing someone had it out for him at first sight.

Anaru

Anaru nodded as the boy asked if she was sure. "I wouldn't of offered it if I wasn't serious." She said in reply to the boy's unsure reactions. As she was waiting for the boy to take her map, she felt someone staring at her. She glanced over to her left to find a boy with white hair and red eyes looking her way. Anaru saw how he was studying her hair, and then she made eye contact with him for a few seconds as he made his way up to her eyes. She quickly darted her eyes in front of her and straightened her posture, finding this a little uncomfortable. After the boy finally took the map from her hands, she nodded. "You're quite welcome."

After watching the small group and the boy with her map leave, she frowned slightly. Honestly, she's only spoken a few sentences to them all, but she felt like she actually had a chance to bond with the group. Anaru watched them walk inside, and then slowly made her way towards the entrance, keeping her head down as she got lost in her thoughts.

Suddenly, she heard a voice beside her.
"That was nice of you, offering the tall one a map and all...especially when you just transferred yourself."
Anaru's thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a masculine voice, causing her eyes to dart to her left. She found herself staring at the same exact boy who was staring at her a few moments ago. He spoke while messing with his hair, as if he were becoming shy. She blinked and then turned to see if he could possibly be talking to someone else. You'd be surprised by how many times she had made that mistake. After seeing they're both practically at the end of the crowd, she turned back and cleared her throat. "... Thank you, I suppose... although, I wouldn't say it was just a random act of kindness... I truly just didn't find a need for it anymore."

After the boy stated that she should move quickly to find a seat or she'll end up standing, she smirked slightly in reply. She found it quite humorous, since it certainly wasn't a problem for her kind. Nevertheless, she nodded. "I can assure you that I'll be just fine." She said as she made her way towards the Auditorium, still standing by the boy's side.

Mr. Sakagami

Image

"Ah yes, another year full of new students... how delightful it is to see them running free, isn't it Sherman?" Mr. Sakagami said as he spoke to his pet bird. He was currently behind the curtains, feeding his Border Canary his daily meal. "I suppose I should get a move on, don't want to keep my children waiting, now do I?" He said as he fixed his tie to make himself appear more presentable. Mr. Sakagami honestly didn't expect his bird to reply to him or anything like that, it was only a matter of a Master and pet bond. He picked up his bird's cage and placed it in the stage's wings.

"Alright... let's make a good impression..." He mumbled to himself as the curtains opened, reveling only himself, a microphone, and it's stand. He smiled as he heard his students clap in his presence. Mr. Sakagami approached the microphone and tapped on it, making sure it was on. After doing so, he looked up at the audience full of children with special powers and took in a deep breath.

"Welcome everyone to BlossomCrest Private Academy!" He started off as he spread his arms out. "As some of you know already, I am the founder of this here school, and you should know that I made this school not only for you children to roam freely for your stay, but for you to know that's it's fine to be a 'freak' as the humans may call it. Look around! Some of you must be surprised to see so many students with amazing abilities, hm? All that I hope is that you'll take advantage of this chance to be around other special children like yourselves."

"However... now we need to cover all the boring things." He said with a sigh. Those who had been able to spend time with Mr. Sakagami know that he's just as full of a child's spirit as the students themselves. "The rules of this school is strict and there is no reason whatsoever you should break them. One of these rules would be no bullying. If you are seen picking on another student, then you shall be restricted by certain rights, or expelled from the school. Another one of our rules is no drugs, alcohol, or any of those harmful chemicals will step foot in my school. Indeed, some of you are at a legal age, but as long as you're here, there will be none of that in this school. Following that, is your time restrictions. Students may not roam the halls of the school past 12:00 AM. If you are caught, same consequences apply. However, there are acceptations if you're a werewolf. But there were only 3 werewolves who were registered in this school year, don't you dare try making up an excuse like that when you're not such a creature."

"Moving on to your dress code and class rules. As you may have noticed, you haven't received your uniforms yet. Never fear, they're all cleaned and folded on the top of your beds. At the end of orientation when you receive your room keys and get settled in your dorms, you will now have to wear your uniform at all school hours. I know they may not be the most stylish of outfits, however, it is required during first period, second, third, lunch, electives, and so on. The only time you may dress freely is either on special occasions or in your own dorms. As for your class' rules, your teachers will gladly lecture you on that." He said as he winked in the direction of the teacher's against the wall.

"And now my dear children, I'll have to leave you with that. Most of you should have the common sense to know what to do and not in a school, especially in one that's such a important part of your lives. Although, before I let you go, please know that I am free to talk to any of my students. I love making bonds with each and everyone one of you, seeing how talented and individual you all is one of my favorite advantages of this job. Just stop by my office or catch me in the hallways if you need anything." With that, he took took a bow and turned to leave the stage.

Suddenly, the intercom came on.

"All students are required to receive their dorm keys and get settled in. Your keys will be waiting for you at the table provided at the front of the Auditorium. Early tomorrow will be when you start your classes. Your schedule is located inside your uniform's pocket. In the mean time, get familiar with the school and have a great day!"

The sudden start of clapping jolted Dale and caught hold of his attention. "Oh crap! It's starting" He quickly bolted into a jog through the open doors of the auditorium. "I'll talk to you later Mo- Miss Akiyama." He called back as he hurried to take a spot in the crowd. He settled in to catch the intro of the dean. "As some of you know already, I am the founder of this here school, and you should know that I made this school not only for you children to roam freely for your stay, but for you to know that's it's fine to be a 'freak' as the humans may call it.

'Humans'? echoed an elderly yet familiar voice. That's an interesting term of word for the man too use. Dale blinked at the voice. He had almost forgotten about the voice in the back of his head. He pulled up the the edge of his sleeve to get a better look at his tattoos. The 'snakes' were wriggling slightly as the voice spoke. For a school that is supposedly founded on the idea of educate people on how to responsibly use their powers, would it not be counter productive to differentiate the students for the rest of of the world?

Dale checked around him to see if anyone was in hearing distance before whispering back to the spirit dwelling in his arm. "You've been awfully quite today." Oh I just didn't want to interrupt your conversation with cow tits. That got a very pointed glare from Dale. "I thought I told you not to call her that." One of the more annoying aspects of his 'tenant's' personality Dale had learned was Crom's rather perverse sense of humor. The constant sarcasm and innuendo could become quite grating at times, and the mischievous old spirit seemed to take a particular joy out of pushing Dale's buttons.

And I thought I would never see the day you started following an older woman around like a lost puppy. But I digress. Crom metaphorically waved off the ire he was invoking. I still must say I find this school to be a bit odd. While I can understand the wisdom giving youngsters a safe place to experiment with their abilities, I can't help but wonder how this Sakagami lad managed too organize a facility like this. "It just seems like a normal high school to me. For the most part." And that's the problem... "What do you..."

...school past 12:00 AM. If you are caught, same consequences apply. However, there are acceptations if you're a werewolf. But there were only 3 werewolves who were registered in this school year, don't you dare try making up an excuse like that when you're not such a creature. Dale perked his head right back up in surprise. Werewolves!? That... didn't bode well in Dale's mind. He had past experiences with those before, and they hadn't been pretty. That's what I mean. Crom confirmed. We are talking about a building filled with unique abilities stemming from different backgrounds. You know well that not everything gets along well in the supernatural world. I'm surprised that the place hasn't already exploded into a riot in it's history. Dale couldn't argue with that. And now that he actually thought about it, he suddenly felt a little less sure of his decision to enroll here.

But he would have to put that sort of concern aside. The dean had finished his speech, Dale only paying half attention to it, and an announcement had come over the intercom about dorm key's being handed out. Being on of the few people already standing near the entrance when the dean had finished, Dale naturally took this opportunity to grab his key before the giant throng of people could start crowding the table. After that he just headed back to his dorm. Entering the room he barely gave the place a glance before unceremoniously tossing his bag onto one of the beds, nonchalantly declaring it his by the act. Then he tried to determine if the place had a bathroom in it and, more importantly, see if the dorm came equipped with a shower. He wanted to try and at least clean up a little before going off to explore the campus.

Unfortunately, Dale had forgotten to dismiss the Wisp he had ordered to guard his belongings earlier and that he was sharing this room with another person.

Momo had continued walking swiftly down the shiny hallway, hearing Dale not too far behind her. The school was really...clean. She knew that a bunch of people probably came before the new school year began to clean up from lasts years messes... but that would take such a long time with a lot of hard work. All the shoe racks clean, only to be dirtied again by peoples muddy shoes. The floors and walls of the school all polished clean, only to be damaged. And last but not least, the most luxurious part in Momo's opinion, the dorm rooms. Damn, if she were to wake up everyday with her room as spotless as the dorm rooms are at the beginning of the year, she wouldn't touch a thing and would make sure everything stayed the same. She sure as hell hoped all the students were thankful for what they got.

As herself and Dale neared the auditorium, she could already hear the loud noises of many people inside. She was okay with being in crowds, but not large and noisy ones. "Oh boy."
she mumbled underneath her breath as they both came close to the auditorium. She didn't know why she was so nervous....and annoyed. This happens at the beginning of the year, every year. It's just so the students know what they're doing and where to go so they weren't running around like lost puppies. Even so, she hated being stuck in a gym full of kids and hearing the same lecture she hears every year about the rules and what not. But she had to remember, it was for the students.

As the inched closer to the auditorium, it turned out Mr. Takiyama was there as well, looking like he's trying to decide whether to go or ditch. It might be something new for the students, but it was the same old thing for all the teachers...and Momo could somehow relate to what Mr. Takiyama was feeling right now.

"Oh! Morning! Good morning." Mr. Takiyama finally managed to say after stuttering a bit. Maybe he was nervous, too. Overall, Momo returned with a smile. "Good morning, Mr. Takiyama." Momo said, bowing her head slightly in greeting. Suddenly, a clapping sound roared from the auditorium making Momo flinch slightly, seeing as she didn't expect it. 'Looks like it's starting...' Momo thought, giving out a sigh. Before she knew it, Dale rushed past her, seeming eager to get in and join.

"I'll talk to you later Mo- Miss Akiyama." Dale said as he rushed past herself and Mr. Takiyama. She chuckled quietly, giving out a small wave to the boy. "Talk to you later." She called back, watching him run into the auditorium. She could hear Mr. Sakagami beginning to give a speech. She looked up at Mr. Takiyama, realizing he was still keeping the door open for her. "Oh, thank you. Let's catch up sometime....okay?" She smiled again as she walked through the entrance, now focusing on Mr. Sakagami up on the stage.

Momo walked over to the back of the row of chairs and stood...seeing as all the chairs were already taken. Mr. Sakagami was beginning the speech about rules and expectations, what to do and what not to do. She knows what it's all about. She knows that she has to explain the class rules to the kids once it gets to her time to....

Once she thought she was about to fall asleep standing up, Mr. Sakagami finally concluded his talk. She looked around at all the students, trying to see what students looked like they'd be in her class based on their age....

The intercom suddenly came on, saying exactly that. All the sudden, all the students got up and went to receive their dorm keys. Geez, it was so loud. Momo stayed back behind, waiting for all the students to exit before doing so.
