w e i g h t x // x140lbs
h a i r x // x golden-brown, chest length, straight and wavy
e y e s x // xa burnt amber
o d d i t i e s x // xshe has an spatter of freckles from being in the sun too much and a small scar running along her left forearm from a swordfish.
a p p e a r a n c e x // xGwen definitely has a beach-babe vibe going for her. Tan-skin, light freckles, and tawny hair, it's not hard to tell she spends most of her time by the water. She doesn't believe there to be anything too special about her appearance, her features are rather plain and pretty.
Since Gwen has more or less been living by the Florida coast her wardrobe is very comfy and fit for warm weather. She always feels awkward in tight fitting clothes, and will run the other direction from the more revealing - clothing. She's a true tomboy at heart, and won't ever shy away from a floral dad-shirt every once in a while.

She uses this power to walk on water, by increasing the surface tension of the water to the point where it is solid enough for her to stand on, and water constructs (such as a trident).

Gwen is a very open person. On a very good day she almost resembles a very playful tide. She's bubbly, loyal, and a true comedic. She loves making others laugh and is in artist in the field of pep talks. Granted, she also knows when to be serious and take a step back, giving someone their space. She constantly worries about her friends all the time, and that's just something she can't stop. She'll do anything for her friends, making her a little easy to be manipulated. Gwen will do stupid things for love whether it be romantic or platonic.
Gwen can almost be described like the tidal wave of optimism, that everyone needs in their life. Granted as she's gotten older she’s grown out of her eternal optimism and shifted to become a bit more realistic. However like most children of poseidon they have the temperament of the sea and her attitude can change quite quickly. been known by his friends to go from entirely optimistic to completely defeated. It's not in any way bipolar, more of just her enhanced ability to feel emotions. She’s often thought that her emotions will shift when the tide does but that was a little thing she said to herself when she was little. She’s entirely prone to going through moody phases of doubt and weariness, which to others can be quite exhausting to watch and endure making her best left alone when she’s in one of her ‘moods’.
Gwen can be a bit stubborn in her decisions, not in the sense that she believes she’s always right but she hates being told what to do. In all, Gwen is full of compassion and energy, complemented by a realistic, if sometimes distracted, mind. Inspiring, convincing and colorful, She is a natural at getting attention.

When Gwen was four her mother fell in love with Sebastian Greer, a local marine biologist that spent the majority of the time out in the ocean. Seb welcomed Gwen as his own daughter, and to this day she’s always felt more of a connection with Sebastian than Poseidon. Seb was the one that always took her out on the waters starting when she was six, and found her love for the sea.
When she was twelve, her father (Seb) and her went out on a seemingly normal sunday afternoon that quickly turned into a dark and cold storm. The waves were enormous and their small boat was no match for the beasts. On the second wave that rocked the boat both Gwen and her father fell into the ocean, and for a moment she thought she was going to die. She can’t exactly describe the experience but the second she fell into the water it felt like she was returning home, surprisingly the water rushing around her was warm and welcoming. The thing that scared her the most was she realized she could breathe. In her midst of fascination and panic she let the water carry her to her father who was suspended underwater, near death. She looped a rather strong arm around his shoulder and with help from some force she was propelled back to the surface of the water.
She somehow managed to swim back to the boat carrying her father’s weight and ludged them both on the deck. With her rush of adrenaline she willed the sea to take the boat back to shore and, it did. She didn’t feel surprised but rather relieved.
When they made it back to shore her father was revived by a local fisherman that had just returned back from the waters as well. Gwen was ruled as a hero and her father never forgot how brave she must’ve been. No one thought anything of it except Gwen and her mother.
A week after the incident her mother came to her and revealed everything, about her powers and her father. At first, it was all too much to absorb but it somehow felt right. It wasn’t long before Poseidon got wind of her boating story and asked to arrange a meeting with her, formally at the beach.
He wasn’t what she was expecting. A burly man, no doubt that he belonged with the waves. Their conversation was seemingly normal, and Gwen actually enjoyed it. Poseidon genuinely wanted to hear about how her mother and herself were doing and told her a couple of stories about himself. It was him who recommended Camp Athens, a place where she could practice her abilities and be with others like herself.
The idea seemed exciting to her and she couldn’t turn it down. With the help of her mother they came up with the story that it was a marine biology school that was offering her full tuition and her father couldn’t contain his excitement. It hurt her a little, to lie to him, but she couldn’t turn down this possibility. She had been containing her call to the sea for too long and her insatiable curiosity could not wait.
