Behind dull green eyes lies the beautiful conundrum that is Raven. A semi-stoic demigod who can pretend her ass off, talk the language of charm and intimidation but who is also forever stuck craving for a certain connection, whether it's love or a friendship or both. Number one, deception is a tricky thing that Khione children are well known for and Raven is no exception. Her exterior, the person she pretends to be around strangers is nothing but a dark, inviting, cool and intimidating act. A defense mechanism of sorts to keep people at arms length because she doesn't want to end up hurt or hurting another for whatever reason, even by accident. She's also really big on trust and fears being betrayed if she lets someone in close. Pretending is something Raven's real good at though, she's been doing it ever since her father died. Not really knowing how to cope at a young age she'd just grin and bear it and play the part people wanted her to play.

Once you get past that thin shell of ice, you'll start to see more of Raven's true self and surprisingly, she is so much more gentle and loving than what she pretends to be. Her attitude is usually mellow, with a dash of playfulness and lingering glow from her dark charisma. Unlike other Khione children, Raven is more in touch with her feelings and a little sensitive to strong emotions around her which influences her to seek solitude when they start changing her own mood. The solitude also comes from her independence since she's the one who's been taking care of herself and relying on herself alone to make it in the world. This doesn't mean that she'll totally reject help or company when offered though.

One thing that you should never do is break Raven's trust in anyway or lie heavily to her because then you'll see how icy she can really get. Once things begin to go down hill with Raven, she is sure to retract from that person and act as if she never knew them, even if she still cares about them. She'll detach herself from complicated feelings until she finds a way to deal with them or not at all. And don't let her catch you bullying someone because she'll probably smoothly embarrass you in front of everyone around.

Heinrich or "Hein" as his friends permanently named him, lived right outside of Regina, Saskatchewan. He was a hardworking miner who kept a friend or two close to him but his heart guarded at all times. Until he had met Khione that is. Maybe it was that dull steely look in his eyes that pulled her in or his aloofness that intrigued her but it led to them spending the night together and many more after. After winter thawed and left so did Khione and along with her a little piece of Heinrich's heart which hardened the man even more. Not too long after he was left with a surprise that would remind him of the women he loved everyday and melt his heart with every smile.

Hein lost his job because he had to take care of his daughter with no one to help but he never once blamed Raven. She was the one good thing he had done in his life and he was determined to see it through but fate was against him. Raven lost her father at the age of 5 in a car accident. It was the middle of a bad winter and the temperatures had been below zero for a month now. Hein's truck had lost control on the icy roads and crashed into the lake where they sunk quickly into the water. When the officers and paramedics showed up they were able to revive Raven, much to their surprise because her lungs were filled with cold water and she was frosty to the touch but that wasn't anything new. Hein on the other hand had died from a heart attack after all the cold blood rushed to his heart within the first 15 minutes of being submerged in the frigid waters. He was able to unbuckle Ravens seat belt and push her out of the broken window before he died which is most likely why they found Raven faster then they did her father.

After the incident something in Raven dulled and she was put into the system, living with foster family after foster family because they would say she was a bad child, bullying the other children or just odd. Their accusations never held weight though, in fact, most of the other foster siblings that Raven had been with have all teased her and bullied her. There was just something off about Raven that made the families fear her even though she was a respectful and keep to herself kid. Being in foster homes is probably what led Raven to truly mess with her abilities. She always knew she was different than all the other kids because she could do things they couldn't like go out to play in the snow with no coat or warm gear on and feel normal or unintentionally freeze little things when she got scared or angry.

As she grew older Raven was allowed to live by herself in an apartment that was paid for by the system as a project. The only conditions were that she had to go to school everyday, keep her grades up and start working. She worked hard to keep the apartment until one night some people broke in while she was asleep. She woke up before the intruders found her in her room but in a panic set upon them two snowy hounds that attacked with no hesitation. The intruders were bleeding out on her rug when a ghostly woman appeared at her door. She paid no mind to the people on the floor, even stepped over them in disgust but not because of what Raven did but because they were mortals. Instantly there was something familiar about her presence and it clicked. Her father never really spoke much of her mother but Raven knew enough to feel that it was her. Khione explained to Raven that she was a demigod and about the camp which was really a demand for her to go rather than an invitation. Plus with Raven thinking her life here was all but over because of what she had done why wouldn't she go to the camp even though she was told Khione children weren't the most well liked nor friendly.

After that night Raven left to the camp with directions from her mother and has been there ever since, keeping her distance with others while at the same time somehow being somewhat liked.
