It was a normal, storm-filled Friday night in Oakland, California. A group of close-knit childhood friends gathered for their usual weekly meetup for Dungeons and Dragons, as they always had. They kept up the tradition as a way of staying in contact as well as containing their friendship as life had caused them to drift apart in the past recent years, until recently. Whether they were busy with work that made them leave Oakland, their childhood home, their pact of retaining their bond over a simple board game had been effective. No matter what life they lived, as a CEO, businessman, free-lancer,
or what have you, they always had one thing in common, their love for a simple board game. At least, that's what it seemed like to everyone else.

As children, they were seen as the nerdy group of kids that would take turns going to each others houses each week, and continue their campaign. They bonded over their social awkwardness and love for the board game of Dungeon and Dragons, or simply put, D&D. Over the years they grew apart as interests changed, their world views changed, or life just took them away from the small city of Oakland. Whether it was work or simply wanting to get away from it all. But as the years passed, friendships reshaped and reformed, as if that childhood bond never went away. Maybe relationships formed over the years, possibly something more than just friendship, whether it was love or strictly platonic, you found yourself coming back to Oakland if you never left. After regrouping with your childhood friends, you find yourself starting back where you left all those years ago. The group all sit down at the old table in a room, the boards and dice sets are laid out. They begin to set up everything and simply talking as they begin the campaign where they left off all those years ago. Hours passed as they are midway into their current session, the lights flicker as thunder rumbles, lightning flashes across the sky lighting up the room through the windows. The group looking around and simply shrugged, ignoring the weather and continued on with their game. That was until the light flickered once more as a heavy feeling of electricity sparked across the room, and then everything went black as the lights went out, and all fell silent...

Exandria

ImageImageImage

This is the world that our brave characters find themselves awakening in. The last thing they remembered is that they were in that small room, playing the game and then the lights flickered before going out and everything fell silent. And then the next thing they knew, that they awoke in an unfamiliar world. They find themselves in an old room in the upper room of a tavern, not having realized who the others standing next to them as they've never seen anything like that before. Until a few moments later when they realize that they are now in the land of Exandria, the world of which their campaign was currently underway in. Now, the group finds themselves having to survive in an unknown world, as everything they ever thought was a game, is now all too real. Any wound they received caused real pain, allowing them to assume if they died here, they'd die in the real world as well. How they handle things come down to you, the player. Monsters and creatures they've never thought would really exist, are real now, and ae out for blood. They're the very things they've created, and how they handle it relies on them. You've become your very own dungeon master, how this story plays out, and if your character makes it to the end, and makes it back home depends on the choices you make and if you're lucky enough. So, let's see if you're lucky enough to get that natural twenty, eh?

Alex Simmons had originally resembled Billie Lourd, and just like everyone else, she was human, but once being taken to Exandria, she took on the form of her character, who was a half-human/half-elf fighter. When she arrived to Exandria, she was first confused and unsure of the new life they were forced to live, but as time went on, she welcomed it, simply wanting to go back home, if they ever can make it to the end..

ImageImage
Toby Marshal had originally resembled Ross Lynch and just like everyone else, was human, but once being taken to Exandria, he took the form of a very large, green-skinned half-orc male warlock/paladin. Once he arrived to Exandria, he fully welcomed the change to his otherwise mundane and boring life as a college student. Much to the annoyance of the others, he tends to think more with his fists than his brain and often causes trouble for the rest of his group.

ImageImage
Elizabeth Rocha had originally resembled Barbie Ferreria and just like everyone else, was human, but once being taken to Exandria, she took on the form of a very tall human ranger male. Once coming to Exandria, she took up the role with a natural connection to Norman Midz, as they, in essence, became their very own creation and she is now forced to traverse the world in hopes of coming back to the real world if she and group ever figure out a way to..

ImageImage
Ryan Andrews had originally resembled Michael Ealy and just like everyone else, was human, but once being taken to Exandria, he took the form of Moz Zaal, a medium-sized female half-orc monk. Once coming to in Exandria, he was confused and lost as he never expected this to happen. He was one of the ones that grew out of the 'nerdy' phase and grew up to be a well-known boxer. He now has some resentment for the rest of the group, as he only came back to make them happy, and got stuck in this unknown world, and away from home..

This Character Sheet is meant to be as barebone as it gets. As the story goes on, more of your character is revealed, just like real D&D. Their personality and backstory, both real-world character and game character will be revealed and played out the further we go. (Side note, the image in the CS is meant for what their game character looks like, not what they looked like in the real world).

Toggle Rules

The rules of the game are simple:

1). Don't power play, yes, this is D&D, and fantasy, but things have taken on a new twist. This is not your typical session of Dungeon and Dragons. The players have sucked into the world of D&D, meaning things play out as any fantasy role play before. Essentially, SAO or any RP where you get transported into a game world. But, with the beloved twist of D&D. Character's stats and weaknesses and strengths still play a major role in this. If you have low charisma, you're not going to have an easy time with persuasion. Attempts at deceiving someone will not always go as you wish, or sometime, it will. But it truly depends on how forgiving your lovely DM (Me) wants to be. And as such, yes, I have my own character, but she won't be as much of an impact as the others will be.

2). This will be just as mature as any campaign of D&D has ever been. Meaning blood, gore, dismembering creatures and beheadings will be a large portion of this story. If seeing someone being eaten alive or burnt to death due to a misfired cast of a firebolt upsets you, maybe this session isn't for you.

3). Commitment, if you can't stay committed for long, me as your lovely DM will give you a second chance. But if you disappear for more than two weeks without any say or notice ahead of time, your character will be captured or injured to where they can't do anything. If you remain gone for even longer after, your character will be swiftly and untimely killed off in a very epic and bloody death if I'm feeling generous. Or they'll simply be killed off by over intoxication or maybe being eaten by a stray Gnoll, who knows really.

4). If you want more than one character, you may have one of each gender. Meaning a max of two characters per person, unless their isn't much interest in this, then more people can take on more characters, which is perfectly fine by me.

5). Lastly, have fun! Ask questions and give some ideas. I'm open to anything. So, best of luck and have fun out there!
