Your father has married you off to the king of the cannibals in order to save your country from the destruction war would surely bring. [1x1 bw Wyatt and MadMax]

Introduction

Want to be romanced by an evil warlord? Well, now's your chance! No use fighting it, no sense in arguing; the wedding is over, the gifts have all been packed up in the boats, and your mother and father have said their goodbyes. Anything to placate the wolf at their door, the demonic king Cohen who rules over the Isle of the Black Sand. With his army of shadows and cannibal warriors, he could crush your home and your father's kingdom like the orange juice squeezed for breakfast.

So, now you must go and live with him in his horrible castle, like something out of a nightmare, where torture is what they do for fun, monsters roam free in the halls, and all of the men who follow your new husband are beings of the worst sort. Despite how little you seem to have in common, Cohen himself seems enchanted by you. Even though the sun never shines in the Isles, he brings you gifts to make it shine for you. He tries to include you in their culture, to show you the beauty of the Isles, even as he tries to make you comfortable and feel more at home. You can tell he is trying and despite his cruel nature, that he for the most part keeps hidden from you, there's parts of him that you might feel like getting to know better. Or not.

There's another layer to this: a young man that you knew from home, arrives a month or so after you've been living at the castle, contacting you in secret. It is totally up to you whether or not you are glad to see him and want to help him devise a plan to get you free so you can run away together. Or...has the evil Cohen captured a tiny piece of your heart? Are you reluctant to leave?

This rp will start after the wedding, right when we're on the boats going to the Isles.

Through her pain and shivering, Delphine faintly heard Cohen's sweet words. At the time though, she didn't have the energy to appreciate it. Her appreciation went more towards the blanket she received and she quickly bundled herself up in it as she was escorted back to her room.

Thankful that she would get to change out of her soaking wet dress, she took the Gamatom clothes without hesitation. Just the dry set of clothes, warmed her quickly and she could feel her body returning to it's normal temperature. Not that she was complaining, but the clothes were very baggy on her, even the smallest size they had was three sizes to big for the petite queen. Delphine was sure that she looked ridiculous, but instead focused on healing her wounds. The gash on her leg had stopped bleeding and was actually not as bad as she first thought. She cleaned it with what was available to her and wrapped a piece of torn cloth around it. As for her head, it was still pounding, but it would most likely fade away in a few days time.

When she had went onto the deck again and heard the singing from the Gamatoms, she realized that they had arrived at the Black Sand Isles. As she was standing next to him, Cohen wrapped his arm around her waist and led her off the ship. Knowing that he had saved her life, Delphine's feelings towards him were more complicated than ever. Who is he? she thought to herself while he happily brought her to Castle Howling. One minute he was murdering thousands of men with no remorse and the next, he was saving her life and acting as if he cared for her. He was a curious man, that was for sure.

Walking up the staircase with her arms crossed across her chest, and Cohen still guiding her by the waist, she took in the horrific stone figures that sat alongside the stairs. They were frightening and gave her the chills. The décor of Castle Howling didn't at all resemble Emerthysa's castle, and the statues alone were enough for her to know that her life here was going to take some getting used to.

At the top of the stairs they met a female Gamatom with very bizarre looks, more so than any of the Gamatoms she had seen so far. With the woman's exposed skin, Delphine couldn't bring herself to meet the female Gamatoms eye. At least until she was forced to after Cohen introduced her. She briefly met the odd eyes of the woman with her soft brown ones and smiled weakly.

Knowing that she would have a handmaiden delighted her. She was very close to her own back in Emerthysa and hoped she could have a friendship with her new handmaiden as well. Henna, as she was introduced, was covered in layers of clothing. The only part of her face that was shown was from the lips down. After that, the went through the front doors and entered the castle. Much like the atmosphere outside, the whole place, while grand, was dark and dreary.

Cohen stopped and bid her goodbye at the bottom of the grand staircase with a kiss to her wrist. He let her know that he would meet her at dinner in an hour before leaving with a sweep of his cloaks. Now alone with Henna she followed her up the stairs and through the halls. Distant screams could be heard as they walked causing Delphine to cringe, but the handmaiden seemed unfazed by the noises. The queen didn't ask about the screams because she already knew that it was the sound of people being tortured. The King and the female Gamatom were just discussing said torture earlier so there was no doubt in her mind that it was the cause of the screams. She was also worried that if she said something that someone would take her to watch and she had no desire to see it.

In an attempt to ignore the screams, she spoke up. "I would be much obliged if you were to help me change into a dress as soon as we reach the room. These clothes are quite uncomfortable for me to wear." she said shyly. "I would also like some ribbons or bows to put in my hair if you have any, but if it's too much of a hassle for you don't worry about it, I will do just fine without them." At this point Delphine noticed she was rambling and stopped talking.

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

No worries. I love our roleplay as well! And Having them go to the Black Sand Isles sounds good to me.

@thenotsoinnocent thanks for the compliment!

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

Thank you for the compliment, notsoinnocent! This one's definitely a fun one! Thanks for reading!

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

Note: Posting to be able to come back to read this RP as it continues and to compliment.

Hey MadMax & Wyatt,

I hope your day is going well. I read through the RP so far, and I wanted to let you guys I really enjoyed reading it. You two are great writers :}

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

Sorry, meant to post this morning but I only had an hour before I have to get lunch and get going to work. I will try to post tonight because I get off earlier than usual today. Love our role-play and I think next, we'll have them arrive at the Black Sand Isles! :D

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

I thought it was great! I don't mind the delay in the trip to the isles if there's action and excitement on the ship.

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

Lol, I hope that is okay. If I take too many liberties, let me know and I can cut it out and we can just get to the Isles instead.

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

That's cool.

Just letting you know that the part about the dress at the end of my post was not meant to intentionally sound so suggestive on Delphine's part. She only unintentionally made it sound that way, since she is so innocent. You probably realized that, but I just wanted to make sure.

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

Posting that for now, just so that they can have a discussion for the moment. If she wants to ask him about anything or talk, now would be a good time to bring that sort of thing up. I do have a plan for what happens next to sort of move things forward with excitement but I thought this minor stop would be nice for them. So, if she doesn't want to talk now, we'll have opportunities later.

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

Ok, I was just curious because Delphine has been in her wedding dress and I didn't know if she had anything to change into.

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

He might have made her abandon all of her things and get new. She might have a couple of sentimental objects but no new clothes. It probably wouldn't occur to him that she'd need or want to change before getting to the Isles.

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

I have a question. Did Cohen bring some of Delphine's things on the ship with them, such as her clothes and personal items or did he just make her leave her stuff there and then plans to give her new things when they get to the Black Sand Isles?

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

Thanks for all the information, that will definitely be helpful!

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

I wanted to see if she would go for the Bloodwine or notice anything off about it, lol. Poor Tim doesn't know much about humans. You can move things forward if you like, have her go on deck or whatever. I made a mistake writing before; I meant to say, they wouldn't get there until about "nightfall" of the second day(today, in the current time of the rp). The only thing to note is the storm clouds are always overhead, you can never see the sun, ever. The islands may or may not be visible on the horizon. Feel free to explore or make stuff up! That's kinda what I'm doing, lol, so, nothing is set in stone that I haven't already described.

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

Will do.

And I'll be busy this week as well so that works for me.

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

No problem. If you need me to change anything, please, let me know. It's really easy to get stuck sometimes and I don't mind scrapping a direction for a different one. I'm a well for ideas.

That said, this week is looking to be a busy one, so, we're definitely down to a once a day mode.

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

Sorry I didn't get a post in today. I'll get one in tomorrow.

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

It doesn't get irritating, it is actually refreshing.

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

It's a gift! I hope it doesn't get irritating. I just kind of think of things on the fly. I do have a very vague plan - two different ones for this story because there are about that many directions for the characters to go - but sometimes I just want to give it a little bit of juice.

Howe is such a whore; he likes everybody, lol. But I think in particular, the innocence of Delphine is a novelty for both him and the King.

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

... I was not expecting that. I have to give it to you, you are very good at coming up with surprises.

Honestly, I don't think it's a misdirection necessarily, but I also know that Delphine does not see Howe in that way as she is still getting used to everything at this point. I definitely think that it is interesting that Howe likes her though, it adds to the drama and excitement.

Re: Darkest Newlyweds

This could be a misdirection or...it could be a third angle to work this from. Take your pick. I have a general idea for whatever course you choose, lol.

And yeah, I'm in college.
