Kit likes to say that he's "nerdy chic" but Crispin thinks thats just her way of giving him a backhanded compliment. As far as style goes Crispin is lazy with it. Not concerning himself with color or fabric types. Though its very obvious he has a preference for clothes that are just a tad too tall for him. Such as the shoulders falling off or the sleeves going well passed his fingers. He likes sweaters a lot, and a lot of his clothing preferences have clearly shifted to match a blue aesthetic. Whether that's because of him constantly being surrounded by the house colors or not is anyone's best guess.

Its almost a point of contention that he sometimes gets mistaken for his little sister. First of all he was here on this earth first so if anything she should be the one getting called Crispin all the time. But he guesses its just his luck that he inherited the softer features of his mother in comparison to his father. All the same, he has the very same wacky mess of short and curly brown hair and wide brown eyes. Though for varieties sake he has a tendency to tie his mop back into a short ponytail or bun.He has no visible scars other than a few old blemishes from acne that has since cleared up. Unlike his sister his waifish skin and bones appearance does not come with finely packed muscle beneath the surface. Instead hes just as gangly and clumsy as he appears.

Crispins temper often gets the best of him and he can be a bit acerbic at times, but is more likely to keep his more angry thoughts to himself than to speak them aloud. He can be a bit awkward, and has a hard time navigating intense social situations without making a blunder. Though he is helpful, he does not have much patience and becomes easily frustrated when people misunderstand him or something hes trying to explain to them. He gets a little sensitive sometimes, but tries to act as if nothing bothers him. Aloof, and somewhat distant. He can be self-absorbed or entirely forgetful of the existence of other people. If he's reading, or working on something its very likely that he won't even notice your presence. Getting offended about it doesn't help, because he won't acknowledge that he's been ignoring you.

He spends a lot of time reading, its his comfort, and gaining knowledge makes him feel more stable in life. But that doesn't mean he doesn't know how to have fun - he's related to Kit after all, and if he didn't have at least a fraction of her mischievous nature it would be a surprise. Though he tends to avoid the more risky situations that land his sister in detention - he has a clean record and he does NOT want to mess it up. Other than that he does actually enjoy social events no matter how awkward he is about it. Parties are fun even to the most socially inept.

Crispin is the kind of guy to be somewhat lazy and unmotivated. That isn't to say he procrastinates, but rather picks and chooses his times to do things wisely. He's had enough time at school to pretty much get a schedule down pat and including a daily nap in that schedule isn't all that hard. Besides, he's a night owl, so he needs those few moments of laziness to keep himself going. He doesn't have the boundless energy of his sister to keep his motor running. He doesn't bore easily and can be kept entertained by just about anything. Learning new things, whether its in theory or practicality is his preferred passtime.

He can be a bit sensitive about his family, and is entirely too protective of his reckless sister. But who else is going to stop her from breaking her neck trying to pull some wild stunt? He tries to be the mature one in any situation, even with his friends and can come off as a mother hen. Though he detests when anyone points that out to him. He can also come off as a bit of a know it all and gets upset when he's proven wrong about things. He will argue his point for ages if he thinks someone else is wrong, which he knows is annoying, but he simply can't help himself.

Katherine Finlay | Living | Grandma | Retired Ministry Worker In The Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures | 80
"When he was younger and still clinging onto the idea that his father would come back for them he was a holy terror for Grandmother Katherine. Constantly fighting her, her rules, and the things she wanted him to do. He couldn't see for a very long time that she truly just wanted what was best for him. He was an angsty kid, and it took years for him to get passed it. Finally, when it came time for him to go to hogwarts he began to grow up. Though they've mostly reconciled, he's still quite stand-offish in her presence."

Phillip Finlay | Living | Grandpa | Retired Auror | 77
"Crispin and his Grandfather are the types to sit in complete silence with one another and struggle for anything to say. It isn't that he dislikes his Grandfather, he loves him all the same. But Crispin often struggles to find anything in relation to him - or his grandfather for that matter. Though its become easier in recent years since he's begun school. When he's home for the holidays the silences are now filled with stories about school and what he's learning."

Louis Finlay | Unknown | Father | 45 |
"Finding out the truth behind his fathers disappearance has always left a sour taste in his mouth. It's the only secret he shares with his grandparents, and actively keeps away from Kit. Because quite frankly, she doesn't need to know that its their fathers fault their mother is dead and he abandoned them out of guilt. It's not something he needed to know either."

Elizabeth Afton | Deceased | Mother | 24 At Time Of Death
"He remembers her so very vaguely that it feels like he's being haunted by the ghost of her memory sometimes. He knows how she died, and that somehow makes it all that much worse. He tries not to think about her too often."

H I S T O R Y

Raised by his Grandparents alongside his sister Kit. Unlike his sister, who never had any real memories of their parents he does; though vague and hazy since he had been so young at the time. Crispin had been four when their mother died, and five when their father disappeared one day never to return. Even though they had been living with their grandparents already for a year before he left them it still caused a lot of problems. He railed against his grandparents authorities, too busy being angry that his parents weren't in the picture to care - it just didn't seem normal to him. And no amount of persuasion could have fixed that for him, at least, not at that time.

Furthermore his curiosity was a heavy point of contention between him and his grandparents, who seemed to want to keep a tight leash on what had happened to his Mother, and where his father might have gone. Crispin never could take no for an answer and dug deep until he found the truth. When he confronted his Grandparents about it they sat him down and finally told him the truth. His Father had been bitten by a werewolf a month after Crispin had been born. For years he had tried to get himself under control, locking himself away on full moons and taking all manner of potions to try and quell the beast inside. His mother being a Muggle had been understanding but rightfully afraid and concerned. They worked through it the best they could, and a year later Kit was born.

But they had a slip up. His father was able to break out of the room he had been confining himself to. In this state all he wanted to do was hunt down the human scents that had been toying with him for ages. Crispins mother knew that she couldn't fight him off, but she could lead him away from the children. She thought if she could lead him far enough away and hide well enough they could make it till the sun came up. Unfortunately it didn't pan out that way. His mother wasn't killed that night but injured badly, they couldn't help her. Crispins father couldn't cope with the guilt, and had a hard time facing his children after that. He begged his parents to take them in, and ran away from his problems.

From then on Crispins views had changed for the worst. But he understood then why his life was so abnormal. He tried his best from then on to be good for his grandparents, though they still occasionally fought. Especially when it came to Kit. They didn't want her to know. At first he thought that was unfair, but eventually came around to the idea of keeping the secret. From then on he put it at the back of this mind. Though to this day he has an unshakable disliking for werewolves. Like his sister he spent a lot of time with his Muggle relatives and still does. He's rather close with his Uncle, and even learned how to drive a car and play guitar because of him. He's always had a tendency to use his Uncles home as an escape when things got too heavy at home.

Being sorted into Ravenclaw wasn't exactly surprising, but at the same time Crispin had a hard time fitting in at first. He was an abrasive kid, and often ignored others in favor of doing his own thing. For the first year his head was stuck in his books and he didn't seem to have time for friends. He may have possibly stayed that way if not for Kit and her penchant for forcing people out of their comfort zones. She practically forced him to be social and find friends, which broke him of a lot of his bad social habits. Now he mostly spends his time split between friends, studying, helping people study, and cheering Kit on (Even though it sometimes annoys his House mates) at Quidditch matches.

The smell of fresh smoke. The rumbling of voices echoed. The clatter of metal trollies scraping across the ancient station's stone brick floor, as well as the thudding of countless footsteps of first years. The old train station that secretly held the platform known as Nine and Three quarters was alive once again. First year students were mixed among the older students that were simply saying goodbye to their loved ones and got onto the train, as the young ones shed a few tears as they'd be leaving their wizarding parents or guardians for the first time.

Where were they off to? No other place than Hogwarts, the School Of Witch Craft and Wizardry. It was once the most popular wizarding school in the world, secretly tucked away in Scotland. Hidden away from Muggle knowledge, as well as the rest of the world, that was until May 2nd, 1999. A tragic event that shook the world by storm, The Batte Of Hogwarts. The Dark Lord, whatever else one may want to call him, Lord Voldermort who was once called Tom Riddle, and his band of Death Eaters and followers attacked the school simply for the last Horcrux, as well as Pure Blood Supremacy and to end all blood ties that weren't pure. But there was one thing that stood in his way, Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived and all the students that gave their lives to help defend the old school, and each other. But as years passed, the death of Voldemort and few of his underlings still hiding in the shadows, Hogwarts had since slowly come back to its former glory.

It has been two full decades since the Battle Of Hogwarts happened, and the reopening of the school. A handful of old professors returned to the school, as well as a few others. This would be a hopeful year for the students, as some are going for their last year, or their first year at the famous school. Students young and old said their goodbyes and slowly boarded onto the train.

That was two weeks ago...

The sun crested over the tips and walls of the ancient castle as the surrounding animals and wild life awoke with the rising sun. Most of the professors and staff were well awake for a few hours by the time came for the students to wake up and prepare for the day. After struggling to find themselves rolling out of bed, most half dressed by the time they hobbled into the Great Hall, still adjusting their uniforms, they split into groups for their respective Houses and sat down as they awaited for breakfast to be served with came in waves with varieties of food that would make any normal muggle salivate with a single smell. But for these students, it was all too common and familiar, almost immediately falling back into routine as they all woke up after finally getting some food into their bellies, well, some woke up faster than others.

Jessie was busy wiping the sleep from her eyes as she had fallen asleep far too late the previous night as the first few week gitters were still in her system. Even if it was her last year, she still felt a bit of anxiety course through her veins every year she came here, even if this was their second semester of this year. Some things just never changed apparently. But, some things did and some part of the young Slytherin could feel it. Something was off, ever since she stepped back onto the grounds, Hogwarts itself felt a bit off, even if the others didn't feel it. She was shaken from her thoughts as the tong of one of the first bells sounded, signalling they had thirty minutes left before they'd have to prepare for their morning classes.

All that the young blonde had on her mind to help distract herself from her thoughts was the fact that they'd be having a Quidditch game latter that day in the mid afternoon, with another one to follow later that night. First up would be Gryffindor vs Slytherin, and then Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw in the later hours of the day. They'd still have time, and at least she'd have something to look forward to. Not that things were ever a bore, especially considering she had all her friends, things were just tense, and she didn't think anyone else felt it, and if they did, damn were they doing a good way of hiding how they felt.

Jessie was about midway through her breakfast as she looked around the crowd of students, busily digging into their food. Her eyes scanned for a specific face, one she still didn't see since she woke up. Tilting her head to the side as she spoke, "You haven't seen Cas either right?" she asked the platinum blonde male Slytherin and wrapped one of her arms around his shoulder. "Assuming they've overslept again, huh?" she said teasingly to Eden. Removing a small piece of paper from her cloak, she quickly wrote something down and after casting a short enchantment spell, she watched as the paper formed into a small paper airplane and quickly dashed out of the Great Hall and disapeared out of sight. "That should help wake them up a bit, don't ya think?" the Slytherin teased as she put her wand back away in her cloak.

Leaning back over to Eden, laying her head on his shoulder, "You ready to fuck up some Gryffindors later today, mate?" she said with a jovial smile as she let him go from her iron grip, making sure her voice would have been heard by a few certain students that sat down from them by only a few chairs. Casting a small wink at one of the students, a certain red haired, female Gryffindor, before looking back away to her fellow House mates and listened to their ramblings as they finished their breakfast.

The morning sun began to streak its way through the large, stain glass windows of one of the dormitories as multiple figures were still fast asleep in their beds. Being back to the old routine after only two weeks of being back for the semester hadn't full set in yet, and often times some students were still fast asleep as others were already down to the Great Hall for breakfast. It was only when a piece of paper that was shaped like a poorly crafted airplane was sent under the crack of the dorm door and found its target in the ear of a sleeping red head. "What the fuck..?" a soft voice mumbled as the figure that received the pointed end of the paper to their ear sat up grumpily. Rubbing the sleep from their eyes, Castiella un-crumpled the paper and quickly read it over, their eyes widened. "Oh shit! We're gonna be late, again! Shit!" they cursed, tossing the blankets off of them as they quickly jumped out of bed, taking a few pillows and tossed one each at the other three sleeping forms in their respective beds. "Kai! Lex! Elise! We overslept, again! Hurry up and get dressed or we're gonna be late...Well, later than we already are!" they shouted, bare feet stumbling across cold, hard wood floors sent them quickly running to find socks. Seeing as it was still just getting into spring, someone must have forgot to set the heater in the room to go all night, which would explain the cold air in the room.

Cas came back a few short minutes later as they had finished changing into their uniform as they finished up brushing their hair and applied as minimum of makeup as they could within a few short minutes. "They're gonna kill us if we're late like this again, already. Ya'll already know the drill. I take the heat for it and you get off as easily as they'll allow. Got it? Besides, they can't be too mad at us...We're only...thirty minutes late for breakfast, fantastic." their voice dipped off into a minor mumble as they checked their watch on their left wrist. Looking back up at the others that had finished getting dressed, "Alright, let's go already, bitches." they gestured as they flung the dormitory door open and began to make their way out of the room behind the other three, while struggling with their tie as the small group made their way to the Great Hall.

The small group stumbled down the halls as they tried to quicken their pace, they needed to get there for at least fifteen minutes. Cas would feel bad if they had made everyone late and had them miss out on getting their breakfast. The four exchanged small talk and jokes as they made their way towards the main archway to the Great Hall. "Monroe? A word, if you please?" a voice called out, which caused Castiella to stop and turn their head nervously to where the voice had called from. Cas gave a small wave and gestured with their hand to give them a moment. "Hey uh, you three go on ahead, I'll just be a moment." the Hufflepuff said with a small smile as they turned and made their way over to the figure that had asked to speak with them.

Castiella shambled over with a coy smile on their face, leaning against the wall, "Morning, Professor." Cas said nervously, ringing their hands together. "I trust you slept well, Castiella." the professor said with a chipper smile. Cas sighed as they rubbed their face, "How much trouble am I in?" preparing theirself for the worst. The old woman sighed, placing a gentle hand on the student's shoulder, "Just try to keep them in check, yes? This may be your last year, but Cas. You can't drag them down with you. It's your duty as an older student, the Quidditch Captain, and most importantly Prefect to be an example." Cas gave a small nod of their head, rubbing the back of their neck as they did so, "I know...I know. I'm sorry. Things are just, rough. You know. I'll try to be better, but I will have to take this next meeting off...If that's okay?" the old professor gave Castiella a small smile, "I understand. You don't need to apologize. Just, go get some food, maybe that will wake you up a bit." Cas gave the woman a smile, "Thank you, McGonagall. I owe you." they gave the headmistress a small nod and smile before turning and made their way back to the Great Hall, and found themselves making their way to where their friends were. Cas took their seat in the middle of two of their friends, "Boom..." Cas poorly imitated the sound of an explosion as they placed their head on their hands that were placed infront of her on the table, looking up at Lex, "They're gonna kill me one of these days, I can feel it...Or worse, gonna get expelled." Cas muttered teasingly before lifting their head from the table and placing it on Lex's shoulder as they sighed.

The brunette had finished getting ready by the time it was six in the morning and her classmates were waking up to get ready to head out to the hall. So instead of waiting for them all to get up she went in to bug her twin, Callum. Kiara hoped onto his bed and began to shake him awake.

"What do you want, Kiwi?" She heard him groan the words and swat at her to get her hands off of him. Kiara's only reaction was to smack his hands back while shaking her head.

"I just wanted to make sure you didn't miss breakfast." Ki said rolling her eyes at her brother before getting up and grabbing his pillow out from under his head, while walking away.

"Ki, give it back!" She could hear him call after him, but all she could do was reply with, "You'll get it back when you wake up." With that she tossed his pillow to the side of the door before walking out of the dorm. She began to grab the current issue of Trinkets, Troves and Tremendous Inventions. This was the one issue she was waiting for. for awhile. Kiara wanted to read about what kind of inventions were being made in the magical world these days.

One of her favourites was the spell checking quill that Professor Arthurs had come up with for dyslexic witches and wizards. Simple objects that help people get the most out of their lives were the sort of inventions that she thoroughly enjoyed. So today she was hoping to get inspired by whatever this issue had to cover.

Kiara began to walk towards the exit of the Ravenclaw tower so she could make it down to the Great Hall before all the people would flood in. Ki had her favourite spot and that meant getting there first, of course. So as she walked down she sat down on the edge of the bench with her one knee crossed over the other showing off her new high heels she had gotten for Christmas, her mom knew just what she had wanted too, so it made it even better. The shoes she was sporting were a pale pink similar to a nude colour. The strap was around her ankle. They were a Christian Louboutin brand under the name of Very Cathy.

The Ravenclaw student didn't boast her wealth a lot, but she did take great pride in her heels and the ability for them to give her the confidence and power she needed to walk though the halls of Hogwarts.

Flipping the glossy cover over to look at what kinds of things they'd be talking about in her issue of inventions, she could hear some of the students start to pour in. Part of her eventually overheard the conversations that were going on between the Slytherin and Gryffindor tables. She just wanted to give both of them a run for their money so they could stop shitting on each other.

Callum eventually came in with his hair groomed and his tie done up right. "You better hope mom and dad never find out that your shirt is not tucked, they'll have a cow." Kiara said nonchalantly.

"Whatever, they can get bent. My shirt not being tucked is the least of their problems."

She rolled her eyes and looked over to Crispin, "Whats your bet on the Slytherin and Gryffindor quidditch game today?" She asked with her eyebrows raised.

Elise definitely hadn't set an alarm the night before, it wasn't on her mind as she was catching up with Lex, Kai, and Cas. They had been her dorm mates since she could remember and the fact that they pack of them were up to being their idiot selves last night, it meant that none of them set an alarm. It was only a recipe for disaster as one could had hoped.

The blonde had been having one of the best dreams that she's had in awhile. It definitely was a certain type of dream, so the fact that she heard Cas's voice wake her up from it she mumbled and as her eyebrows knitted together. Were they serious right now? Who cared if they were late? It happened so much that they hadn't done shit yet. Ellie opened her eyes squinting, but she could tell by her voice that she was serious.

With a sigh she shook her head throwing her covers back. "You really suck sometimes, y'know?" She said with a bit of a chuckle and then began to quickly throw her stuff on. Ellie had thrown on her trousers, bra and white blouse. She 'accidentally' forgot to button some of the top buttons as she was 'rushing' before just grabbing her yellow and black tie after she had tied her blonde hair up in a messy pony tail.

She was a pro at getting ready with little to know time so she also managed to get a layer of foundation and some mascara on. The girl needed to be somewhat prepared for the day, you never knew who was going to look your way.

"Mon cheri! Do not take all the blame, I will gladly do it next time. I got irresistible veela charm sometimes." Ellie said with a laugh when Cas had returned to the table with the rest of them.

Instead she blew Cas a kiss before throwing her hands up in a heart shape with her hands, "Merci beaucoup, darling. I appreciate your efforts, always." With that, Elise began to comb through Lex's hair to make it look more presentable and less tangled for her. The girl was way too sweet to be dragged down by the oversleeping demon that lurked around.

She retracted her hands when she was done though, "So, anyone excited for the dance coming up? I say if we don't have dates we can all go together, if that sounds good?" The blonde said throwing it out so no one had to feel bad about lack of dates or in case no one wanted to talk about who they wanted to invite out.

Crispin usually liked the Great Hall in the mornings. Usually up and out of bed first thing in the morning, dressed in his robes and with his wild mane of hair tamed back into a bun. He would tuck a book beneath one arm and head out towards the promise of breakfast gratefully. He tended to arrive earlier than most did. Taking a seat at the Ravenclaw table and cracking open his book of choice. This one was something written by a muggle about witches, it was interesting to see the muggle interpretation of witches, if not downright hilarious at times.

It wouldn't be long though until others began to filter in. Today was a particularly important day, with the promise of a Gryffindor Vs. Slytherin Quidditch match later in the day it was bound to get all kinds of crazy. Crispin didn't think he had ever seen the Ravenclaw team get nearly as excitable about their matches as those two did. But that was to be expected. Those two houses were on a whole different level.

Soon enough he was joined by others of his house, including his friend Kiara.

"What's your bet on the Slytherin and Gryffindor quidditch game today?"
She asked with her eyebrows raised.

"They've both got strong line ups," he shrugged, glancing over towards the Gryffindors table, where Kit was making a game out of throwing orange slices in the air and catching them in her mouth. He shook his head exasperatedly, returning his attention to Kiara. "but I'm obligated to cheer on Gryffindor." Though if he were being honest, he could easily see Slytherin taking the win.

But Quidditch wasn't really his forte anyways, that was Kits territory. His place in the stands, cheering on his sister had always suited him just fine. One athlete in the family was plenty enough. He didn't want to seem rude - especially towards his good friend - so he placed the book to his side, but his capacity for conversations in the early morning always seemed to be far less than at any other point in the day. His natural quiet left him grasping for anything else to say about it, but it didn't seem to matter as he was saved by the arrival of Seong-Min to their table.

Kit always woke before the sun could even begin to crest the horizon. One would think that this would give her plenty of time to be productive. Get some schoolwork done or maybe even read ahead in some of her classes - that would have been the perfect use of this time. Hah. As if. Instead she raced to get dressed, ignoring the way her hair flopped messily into her face as she made an unbearable amount of ruckus in her pursuit. In her haste she nearly tripped over Callie, the little tortoiseshell cat yowling her displeasure at the rough treatment. One of her dorm mates groaned, another growled at her to 'shut up Kit!' but Kit wasn't chagrined in the least.

"Sorry!" She whispered to the darkness, scooping up Callie from the floor and dashing out of the dorm room. She waited until she was fully out of earshot in the common room to peer at the cat with a mock frown, "You'd think they'd be used to me by now, right Cawwie" The cat in question did not seem to enjoy being baby-talked, as she began to struggle from Kit's hold. Kicking her back feet until the girl finally opened her arms and let the cat jump down. Running away to curl up in a nearby chair before Kit could further interrupt her rest.

Kit didn't know what possessed her in the mornings, but the amount of energy that pulsed through her system was almost unbearable. Maybe it was the promise of a new day, or perhaps the excitement of the upcoming Quidditch game. And truly she was very, very excited to kick Slytherins ass. No doubt in her mind about it.

It was still a bit early so she decided not to go to the Great Hall right away. Instead, she headed towards the courtyard. Noting that the morning was finally beginning to set in. She took a deep breath of the fresh air and leaned forward to ensure her shoes were properly tied. Nothing like a quick run to get her blood pumping. Besides, she needed to let off some of that excess energy before it drove her absolutely mad. She was on her third lap before the sun had fully risen and the growling of her stomach could no longer be ignored. She wondered if Crispin was already at the great hall - if he was there then he'd have his head buried in some dinky old book. Kit would never understand the appeal.

The great hall was already fairly packed by the time she made her way there. As she moved towards the table she spotted the origami otters at the Hufflepuffs table, scampering around, and laughed loudly. That was adorable, and absolutely brilliant. Kit couldn't wait to carry out some of her own plans, but for the moment she had to focus on today - there would be plenty of time for pranks for the rest of the year. She had many plans, and all the time in the world to carry them out.

Finally, she settled herself at the Gryffindors table, a bit down the way from Cassie and the group she was with, her hunger overtaking her for a moment as she greedily reached for the plate of bacon. Stuffing a fair amount in her mouth as she listened to the nearby conversations. Most everyone was discussing the upcoming game, wondering who would win. Kit wanted to chime in that, 'Gryffindor of course,' would be the obvious choice but was too busy stuffing her face to let that bit of egoism slip through. Though she thought it would be fun to stir up the growing crowd a bit.

At some point she noticed Crispin glancing back at her as she tossed an orange slice into her mouth. She grinned, standing up and heading towards the table where he sat. She slid into the nearest open seat, nearly elbowing a first year in the face as she did so. "Sorry kid!" her sincerity completely squashed by the laugh that followed. Crispin shook his head, though she could easily see the slight twist to his lips.

"Hey guys! How's it going?" Though she was intent on Crispins attention she looked passed him to Kiara and Seong-Min. She wasn't particularly close with either of them, but Kit had a tendency to be overly friendly with just about anyone.

Despite the insistence of the risen sun beaming directly into the tower Isabeau did not dare to open her eyes just yet. She was deeply exhausted from staying up far too late. It was an impulse she seemed incapable of committing to each and every night. It had begun to weigh on her, visibly even. But the night was far more peaceful than the day, and it felt as if she achieved nothing - not classwork, not reading, nor any particular hobbies - unless the moon was fully settled in the sky.

To say the least, she did not want to get up. The very thought of dragging herself from the bed brought an angry grumble to her lips. She blinked, squinting against the harsh light. But the day wasn't going to just wait for her to start, she knew that much. So with a lot of huffing, puffing, and curse words slipped under her breath she managed to wrestle herself from the bed and into her clothes.

Looking into the mirror was a mistake - she looked more like a ghost than usual, which was absolutely saying something. She spent the next few minutes doing her measured best to brush the frizzy mess of her hair down and apply as much makeup as it took to bring some warmth back into her appearance. In the end, she at least looked as if she hadn't spent half the night awake, and most of her morning bedraggled. Small victories.

Isabeau took the stairs two at a time on her way to the Great Hall, a little more energetic now that she wasn't so entrenched in sleep. She was excited for the game later. Quidditch was the most therapeutic way of getting all her aggression out. The days after a game, whether they won or lost, always left her feeling a more peaceful than usual.

Though she wanted very little to do with the idea of breakfast she knew how radical her teammates (Or rather their Captain) would get if she skipped out on the most important meal of the day. As she gnawed on some toast she scanned the hall, noting that everyone seemed to be just a bit riled up. Whether by the game, or the upcoming tournament, or the ball that was being held as well. Isabeau dreaded the idea of any sort of formal dance. Give her a party any day, sure, but the whole concept of the ball gave her more anxiety than she could account for - and she didn't have a date, which in and of itself wasn't problematic for her. She was more than happy to go stag, but it still felt like more effort than she was willing to part with.
