Frank Ocean. Cheesy 80's music. Manta-rays, they're
so relaxing to watch. Photography, her favourite hob-
-by, right up there with writing. Denim jackets and
silver jewellery. She'll donate blood every chance she
has. Parties, especially halloween parties. Misty likes
nothing more than spending time with friends. Her
favourite movie genre is comedy, though she's also a
sucker for holiday movies too. Misty's favourite holi-
day is Christmas, especially when she gets to spend it
visiting her granddad in the Philippines, or going to
Ireland to see her mother's family. Spicy food, yum.
Tattoos, even though she's too indecisive to get one,
she thinks guys with them are great. Sunbathing and
anything to do with the beach. Books, from modern
thrillers to classic literature or comics. She can't not
laught at accidentally sexual phrases and bad pickup
lines.
Hospitals, too many bad memories. Chipping nail polish, it looks tacky. Shoddy journalism, is it really that hard to fact check? Misty isn't a big fan of firearms. McDonalds, not Misty's preferred meal, though she loves home made burgers. She finds classical music a touch boring, though if you insult her and call her unrefined she'll quickly put you in your place. Hates secrets, and cliff-hangers on television shows. Misty will 100% seek out spoilers and read movie plots beforehand. She hates when people call her exotic looking. Doesn't really like tic-tacs or mints that are too strong, also stays away from coffee. Cold mornings are the worst, and doing anything before 8am other than sleeing isn't cool. Don't make her get out of bed! Anti-vaxxers. People who are bad car parkers. Cooking.

Misty prides herself on being independent, yet, she'll still cling to the people that make her feel the safest, or those she doesn't want to lose. She feels left out if an invite passes over her, no matter the reasons, and still finds herself texting around to see if anyone else wants to attend some obscure function because she'd rather not go by herself. It's hard with everyone graduating, Misty can only hope that her close group of friends don't drift apart.
A fierce protectiveness takes hold of Misty around her friends and loved ones. She'll bite back at any bullies she sees abusing those she cares about, and is always willing to offer a hand in support. She'll dish out firm advice if asked, and possibly even offer it without being asked, too. She doesn't mean to stick her nose in other people's business, but she's been told that sometimes she does - when curiosity and a desire to help flares, or, when she's convinced she knows better. Misty can be a little bull-headed sometimes; stubbornly sure that what she's doing is right. She's worked her way into various bets because of this, placing wagers on whether some fact she half remembers is right and then either reluctantly admitting her mistake when proven wrong, or grinning widely if she's right.
Misty is always up for some fun, whether it be a good party, a spontaneous road trip, or even just a night in with her friends watching a movie. She possesses a decent balance of work to play, for a teenager that is. In areas of school she likes, such as English and any art and photography classes, Misty is more than happy to put in the extra effort, though she's always much too easily distracted when it comes to studying subjects she's not as natural at. Thankfully, the perks of being friends with the school valedictorian means she's always good a good study buddy on hand.

It's no wonder then that Misty grew to love the noise of large groups, or perhaps that's due to the innate extroversion within her. Thea Navarro was always the quieter of the two, and it would be Misty who would drag her older sister into the mix of squawking and shouting cousins. Where Thea showed natural talent at dance, Misty proved a natural at writing and, to a lesser extent, sport. Misty loved her sister, so when her parents sat her down to explain why Thea had been spending so much time at the hospital recently, she felt a fierce protectiveness swell up within her. Misty wouldn't let leukaemia take her sister from her, even if, at six years old, there wasn't anything she could do to help.
It was around this time that Misty grew closer to Mason, and the rest of his family. Mason's mother was one of the nurses familiar with Thea and her treatment, and whether due to encouragement from Jocelyn, or Mason's natural inclination to look out for his friends, Mason made sure to cheer Misty up if ever needed. Misty appreciated the friendship then, and again several years later when Thea would return to hospital due to a reemerging tumour. Despite the fear of losing her sister, and the financial strain it put on her family, times weren't always bad. Misty would spend hours beside her sister's bed telling her stories or flipping through photo albums of the latest cousin's birthday that Thea had had to miss. Misty was always the first to share any exciting news with her when visiting the hospital, or always ached to help her sister when she was home.
Eventually Thea's cancer went into remission, and slowly life returned to normal. Misty grew her passion for writing and journalism, coupled with a growing hobby of photography. She had a good, close group of friends in LANC, and spent her last years at school on the student paper. Her grades were always fairly consistent, and given the extra-curricular activities she participated in, Misty was pleased to be accepted into her university of choice. However, in the past few months she's decided to defer her acceptance, instead planning on taking a year off to work and travel. Thea, still thankfully cancer free, and Misty have been planning their trip through American and Europe for months - years even if you count the many nights spent fantasying together about where they'd go and what they'd see.
However, Misty's plans are on further hold after hearing news of Mason's disappearance. She wouldn't dream of leaving when she doesn't know whether her friend is safe or not. She'll do anything needed to get him back.
