Demons of all kinds lie behind most of the worldβs terrors. Any other supernatural being can be controlled to an extent as they have some set of morals in their civilization, but most demons sole interest is to destroy, ravage, and do any evil deed they can. Of course, there are those few demon species that are quite peaceful or those few demon individuals who break off from their groups in order to βbetter themselvesβ, but itβs very rare. The only way to handle these off-putting demons is through one very unknown supernatural species β The Mohiri. The Mohiri are stronger, faster, and better than regular humans. Their whole reason of being is to eradicate demons who cause mayhem and trouble. What makes them supernatural, however, shocks many. They are half human and half demon. Some find it morbid that half demons so easily kill demons for a living, but itβs all in the act of synergy. Mohiris are powered by the Hiri Demons that live inside their Mohiri counterpart. Long ago, the two merged. Mohriri look no different than regular humans, no trace of a Hiri can be found. They're just a subconscious voice and entity in the back of The Mohiri's mind. In exchange for the Hiriβs protection, the Hiri lend their powers of strength and immortality to the Mohiri to aid in their hunting.
The Mohiriβs often live in their own town compounds, not often seen mingling with humans or other Supernatural types. They are ruled by a council of seven, each Mohiri representing one of the world's continents. They serve to protect their own, to destroy demons so they canβt hurt others. They have a strong sense of community, as many of them have known each other for centuries on end, thanks to their immortality. They age up until they reach twenty-four years old. The only way to become Mohiri is to be born into it; as long as one of your biological parents is Mohiri, you will be born merged with a Hiri as well. Through their adolescence, they train at these special compounds in order to gain the necessary skills to become a hunter and to control the demons that won't often stay dormant in their heads. Itβs all about balance. The Mohiri cannot survive without their demon, and the demon canβt survive without their Mohiri.

Orphan Mohiris are very rare, but something that unfortunately tends to happen. They are Mohiri who have been living as humans with no prior knowledge as to who or what they are. It happens mostly when their parents give birth to them outside of their compounds with humans, having run away or abandoned the Mohiri for the human they love. Most orphans are abandoned by their Mohiri parents at a young age as their immortality would soon reveal themselves. Mohiri Orphans are then left with their human parent, or in some cases, none at all. It is very dangerous to be a Mohiri Orphan. If they arenβt found before the age of ten, the demon inside their head, as itβs left uncontrolled, will drive them to a madness that will either lead them so become insane or dead.Β
Whatβs odd with these four orphans, however, is that they are much older than ten years old. Somehow, even though they know something was odd with this little voice inside their head edging them on to do aggressive things, they have been able to learn to control and lock it down without the help the Mohiri should have given them. They have never come across Orphans this old before. And whatβs even more peculiar is that these Orphans have strange powers of their own, ones that the Mohiris shouldn't be able to have.
After the Hunters convince the orphans of what they are and to come with them to a Mohiri compound, in particular, the compound located on Mount Rainier in Washington. They begin to train them and expose them to their own kind. They soon discover that whatβs so special about these Mohiri is that they are all half faerie. This is even more rare of an occurrence that the Mohiri could even comprehend. Faerieβs are often secretive and never expose themselves to humans in general. They are just as strong of a force in fighting demons as the Mohiri, but most of Faerie tends to shy away from the lifestyle in which Mohiris have chosen for themselves. A touch of a faerie to a demon is fatal. The reason the four orphans so easily kept their Hiri at bay was through the hidden power that laid in themselves.Β
Now, with the help of the hunterβs who found them and through each other, the two orphans must grow accustomed to their new way of life and to train in order to become the hunters they allegedly are destined to be. The only problem is that news of their powerful existence seemed to have circled around the demon community, and now demons are trying their hardest to find and kill the two as they are a serious threat and something that has never quite occurred before.
