Name: California Nina Hawk "Yeah, dumb name, I know."
Nickname: Cali "And that's the only thing you can call me."
Age: 18
Sexuality: Bi-curious
Clique: Art Freaks

Likes: Music, drawing, helping people, buddle gum, red liquorish, cute people, parties, dancing
Dislikes: Drugs, alcohol, HATERS!, mean people, rude people, bullies, being mad
Fears: Bugs, heights, ghosts "Don't ask..."

Personality: Cali's a bit of a flipper. She can be the nicest and quietest person you know, but she's not, not at all. She likes to keep her grades average and just loves practicing her drawing and singing. But, she's also still a teenager. She likes partying and going dancing and all that jazz, but that doesn't mean she's going to do something extremely stupid. Well, unless she's talked into it of course('Peer-Presure!'). She's nice when you first meet her. Extremely nice. But you do one thing to get on her bad side, she'll hold it against you for the rest of her life. Hell, the rest of your life.

History: History, history, history. There's one thing that Cali finds completely boring. History. Not only does she think history is boring, but that it doesn't define who you are as a person. Cali's history isn't that extravagant. She had a mother and a father. The only child in their household. She came from a home that was struggling with money when she was little. Her mom would spend half of the money she earned on clothes and personal items for Cali and spend the other half on cigarettes. Cali's father would spend half of the money he made on food for the family and the other half on beer for himself. Other than all this, Cali's parents were very loving. And she loved them just as much as they loved her.

Among all the financial trouble, a new trouble came when Cali was in junior high. She stepped up to the plate and got her dad to quit drinking and her mom to limit herself to just four cigarettes a day. After this, Cali's father got a good job as a carpenter and her mom got a job at the local super market. One day before they had to go in to register Cali for high school, her father won the lottery. He had enough extra at that point to get Cali in for her first year of high school, and he started his own business that became successful enough to pay for Cali's high school. It might not be a scholarship, but it's good enough for her. And she still has her art and music to be successful past high school.

Anything else: Cali, though she doesn't look it much, is a total rocker chick and music geek and can always be seen with purple headphones over her ears or around her neck.

So begins...

Its been a week since school began. Some students have fully unpacked and decorated their dorms, others still have boxes littering their dorms. The first two weeks of school is supposed to be spent getting orientated with the school before classes start the following week. The first week was spent with students being dropped off throughout the week, students signing up for clubs and getting their sport gear, and roommates getting acquainted. Now its the second week. Students will be going to their clubs and sports. For now most students are either waking up and getting ready for the day, in the lounges, or eating breakfast in the quad, picnic tables, or the caf.

Donna had awoken early that morning, she yawned careful not not to wake up Arielle before slipping into their bathroom. She slipped into the shower going through her morning ritual of her body was, body scrub, facial cleanser, facial scrub, and facial moisturizer. She usually washed her hair every other day since it was so thick and she didn't want it to break off but she used her luxury vanilla scented conditioner every day. She came out thoroughly refreshed before beginning to brush out her luscious, thick, glossy brown hair. She then straightened it until it was pin straight and ended just above her back dimples. She came out the bathroom in her lacy under garments before spraying her signature custom made scent of honey suckle, which she made at a perfumery in Paris, into the air and stepping into letting it gently cover her whole body without it being over bearing. She then walked over to her mirror and applied a bit of light makeup that only made her seem a little dewy.

She glanced around the room. She added a bit of things. She up a collage of mirrors on one small wall of the room as well as a collage of her friends. She also hung up a big photo of her and Arielle that took up half a width of wall space and was placed in the middle of the wall. The picture was from the top of the wall to the bottom. She also had pictures of herself on her trips. hung up on the wall.

She walked over to the closet and picked out an outfit. Since she and Arielle practically wore the same size tops and shoes they out their clothes all together in the closet, wardrobe, and dresser.. Plus it was easy to tell their bottoms apart with Donna's shapely toned legs and Arielle's petite size. She picked out a classy yet sexy
outfit and put it on. She walked over to one of the dozens of mirrors in their room, this one a full length and checked herself out. The simple silk tank hugged her nicely sized chest well, the blazer fit snug and accentuated her tanned skin, and the lace shorts showed off her shapely toned legs; Everything was perfect.

She sneakily leaned over Arielle and purred "Wake up doll," Before skipping out of the room slamming the door on her way out. She walked over to the quad where the coffee stand where the coffee stand was was and Brazilian roast back coffee, that she begged her dad to stock the school up with as a surprise for Lucas when he mentioned it once, for Lucas. She headed to the cafeteria then and bought A diet coke for Arielle and a regular coke for Ashton. She also bought herself a strawberry smoothie. She also bought one of each of the twelve pastries. She quickly went back in the room and set the diet coke and a pastry on the nightstandalong with a note that said "Love you doll, going to the boy's room. Meet me there.-Bee" before heading to Ashton and Lucas's room. She had her own key and was about to open the door when she was interrupted.

A girl came out of her room, a girl clad in a pink blazer and a pink and brown plaid skirt who had bleached blonde hair and dark tanned skin. A girl Donna knew as Crystal, daughter of a widowed gold digger who married a millionaire when she was twenty one and he was seventy. "O.M.G Donna, hey!" She squealed prancing up to Donna in the summer Jimmy Choo's. She glanced at Donna's which were the early release Winter Jimmy Choo line "How.Did. You. Get. Those?!" She girl screeched. Donna resisted the urge to cover her gold hoop clad ears with her french manicured hand. "Oh I have my ways," Donna said coyly. The girl covered her hear, well more like her implant filled chest with her own crystal and plastic rose manicured hand. "I so envy you," The girl said pouting her baby pink lips. She blew Donna a kiss before retreating in her dorm making Donna roll her eyes.

Donna opened the door to Ashton and Lucas's room and set the drinks and pastries on a table. She walked over to their window and opened the curtains and blinds before commanding "Wake up!" She said sitting down in one of the chairs and crossing her legs " I brought breakfast." She said in a sing-song voice sweetly. She pulled out her phone and texted Jennifer.
To: Jenny
Morning biatch!Get your ass to Lucas and Ashton's room if you want a pastry.

She focused back on the boys and pointed her finger across the hall "What's up with barbie girl over there. This is a exclusive dorm for a reason. There's nothing classy about.." She rolled her eyes "That. She should be in Persephone." She tilted her head "No worries,I'll fix that later." She said with a coy smile. Donna's sophomore year, when Donna wasn't Queen and was dating a rebel who graduated her Junior year, Crystal decided to sleep with him. Information she found out over the summer when one of Crystals ex friends told her at a party. She was thinking of the right way to punish her and here it was. She bit into a chocolate pastry as she plotted in her head.

Riven Mantra

Riven laid awake most of the night staring at the ceiling through narrowed eyes and listened to the silent, settle movements of Louis throughout the night. He'd always had sleeping problems for whatever reason, but he brushed them off most of the time. Oddly enough, it never seemed to dampen his one set mind. He'd finally had gotten to sleep in the wee hours of the morning. For every year he's been going to this godforsaken school he'd always get nervous to some extent. When he'd fallen asleep, he dreamt of rather childish dreams of meeting the superheroes from his comics and such. He even dreamt that he was Spiderman, though Superman was by far his favorite superhero.

After a while of sleeping, he felt someone shake him slightly and he knew exactly who it was. Scarlett Ann Rey, better known as one of his favorite childhood friends. He might even go as far to call the girl a best friend. This was a daily routine he knew far too well. Upon registration of Scarlett's words, and after blinking far too many times a minute, he slowly sat up, mumbling "I'm awake. I'm awake." Once fully sat up, revealing his usually bed wear of a plain grey tee shirt and athletic shorts that went down to his knees, he ran a hand throw his thick hair then rubbed the little sleep from his eye. If there was one thing Riven was, it wasn't a morning person. He's never been a morning person.

Once more awake than not, the smell of food hit him pleasantly and a quirky smile, the only way to really describe his smile, appeared on his face as he looked over at Scarlett. "So, what's for breakfast?" He asked, withholding any hint of a chuckle in his voice.

Just like almost everyone at PCA, Cali woke up to the buzzing of the alarm clock. It took a few buzzes to actually get to her, in which she cursed under her breath, sat up, and turned the thing off. Before doing anything, she laid back down on her back with a small groan. She really didn't want to get up, just wanted to go back to sleep and let the world go on without her. Letting out a long sigh she climbed out of bed in a very lazy fashion. Looking over at Marley tiredly, she walked over to the other girl and kneed the side of the bed slightly. "Wake up, Mar-mar." She said, more tiredly than it seemed, than gave up and went to get herself situated.

After taking the time to pick out a suitable outfit, she went into the bathroom and got ready for the day, taking care of all the necessities, which included hair and makeup. She didn't really wear much makeup, just some eye makeup and maybe some lip-gloss, but that's about it. After fixing herself up for the day, she walked out of the bathroom and walked over to pick up her phone, gum, and sketchbook. Glancing over at Marley still in bed with a cocked eyebrow for a moment, she rolled her eyes slightly. "You're going to have to wake up sometime." This was said mostly as a side note than a statement. Either way, it was the truth, in her eyes anyways.

At that, she walked out of the room, shutting the door behind her. She let out a breath as she looked down the hallway and ran her hand through her hair, her free hand holding all her stuff. After a short moment, Cali started walking down the hall while she slid her phone into her back pocket along with her gum then headed to the cafeteria. Once there, she ordered herself a coffee, not really feeling all that hungry at the moment, then sat down at a table and sipped on her coffee as she looked throw her sketches.

Upon hearing Scarlett basically asking him to slow down his walking speed, Riven instinctively walked slightly slower without complaint. He'd even admit he walked a bit fast, he was just used to it. Though he didn't really seem like it, Riven felt like he was always on the run. His mind just kept going on and on about almost nothing really. He hadn't even noticed Scarlett tripping. What a nice friend he is. He shrugged himself from the thoughts about seemingly nothing and looked forward, wondering about what he may eat for breakfast.

Riven jumped slightly, looking at Scarlett with slightly wide eyes as she yelled and laughed. At first, Riven narrowed his eyes and drew his brows in slightly, unaware of why she became excited. It was a moment before her words registered and clarity as to why she decided to be oh so loud washed in. He smiled slightly at the thought of more food as they drew closer to the cafeteria. He walked forward and opened the door, stepping aside to let Scarlett enter first. "After you." He ushered with his quirky smile and waited for Scarlett to enter before he stepped in after her.

Looking over the place, he saw people here and there. Some getting food and walking away. Some getting food and taking a seat. And some already sitting around chatting and such. "Well, off to get some food, I reckon." Riven said, sounding ever so country using a phrase his grandparents would use often. Normally, he would use precise and well thought out words, but being around someone he's known since childhood puts him less off the preciseness of his speech. He began to the line to get some food, the smell of it making him ever so hungry. He took a glance around to see the familiar sight of Cali sitting over by herself with just a coffee and her sketchbook. Looking away from the sight and over to Scarlett, he shrugged slightly. "I have no idea what to get." He said, almost sounding like a normal human being be still with the slight mumble, as always.

9:00 Thursday, PCA Campus
The students are enjoying their morning breakfast and fellowship as a voice crackles through the intercom, travelling through the many speakers around the campus. "Welcome students to your second week at Pacific Coast Academy I hope you are enjoying yourselves. Today students will be reporting to the following clubs: Cheerleading with Coach Moralla on the football practice field, Girls Lacrosse with Coach Kain on the left lacrosse field, Boys lacrosse with Coach Henry on the right field and Soccer with Coach Mathews, " There's a brief pause before he continues " Now for our clubs: Students in the Art club please report to room 215 in the Art wing with Miss Miyuki, that's by the viewing room. Students in the Debate Team report to room 105 in the English wing with Mr. Mathews, All of our E-Magaziners report to the Fashion design and Journalism room in room 210 in the Art wing." The principal chuckles to himself "And your in for a treat because my darling wife is the teacher," He clears his throat before continuing again " Our Musically gifted students report to the Music Theater where our newest teacher and retired grande pianist Mr. Ford is waiting. All of our Seniors not in these activities you have a free period please remember to sign out if you choose to go off campus. Now we have Miss Craig, our resident event planner" A couple of students cheer. Miss Craig is big deal at PCA since she's actually a party planner for celebrities but since she's a close friend of the principal she also does elaborate dances and events envied by school's all over the country.

"Students guess what is happening tomorrow!" She pauses "Homecoming Dance!" Her peppy voice resonates "Anyway as you know last week you all got to vote for a theme and the winner is...Drum Roll please" She pauses and you can vaguely hear her banging on the table "Oooh I like this Old Hollywood glam. That means bring your dapper suits with your ascots for the boys and your fit tight just right glam cocktail dresses. Oooh I love it! Anyway I also have your homecoming court, how exciting!" You hear her ruffle through some papers "For the Boys we have Blake Everett, Ashton Chambers, Nate Hoffman and Lucas Azevedo Yay! For the girls we have Belladonna Ricci, Kathrine Locke, Arielle Lui, and Marley Livingston. Ok guys that's it for now!" She says as the intercom goes dead. Student start to go to their clubs and sports with homecoming ideas and dates filling their heads.

Riven nodded slightly at Scarlett as she named off some of the stuff on the menu. He was starting not to even feel hungry anymore. He waited behind Scarlett as she ordered her food, slightly rocking on his heels and looking around. Once she got her food, the announcements started and Riven had noticed that he wasn't even in anything. Shrugging slightly at the announcements, he stepped forward and bought himself an apple before standing back by Scarlett. He vaguely listened to the announcements as he bit his apple. Then, like always, after hearing 'Homecoming Dance!' he started choking.

Luckily, Riven was able to save himself by ponding on his chest. If he hadn't, he could have choked to death! After the announcements ended and Scarlett started talking again, Riven looked over to her, a bit shaken up by his near death experience. Hearing question on if he'd joined any clubs, Riven shook his head slightly. Of course he hadn't. He didn't want to bother himself with needing to go to clubs and such. So he just hadn't signed up for anything. Hearing Scarlett say homecoming, his eyes widened slightly and he looked at her, a bit confused. Weren't girls suppose to want to go to homecoming? He thought for a moment. No, not all girls want to. Look at yourself, putting Scarlett into the category of all girls! Shame on you! The annoying voice of his conscience, or at least he thought it was his conscience, spoke critically.

Pulled from his mental battle by Scarlett handing him her pancakes and running off, Riven stood there amount, watched her scurry off, looked down at the pancakes, then back up the way Scarlett was going. The whole time, a fog of confusion wiped his face. He was about to set them down and leave them before he heard Scarlett yell back to save it. So, he asked the lady at the counter for it to go and she put it in a box and Riven headed back to the dorm to go work on some stuff.

After drinking her coffee and getting lost in her sketches, the announcements came on. Cali continued looking through her sketches as she listened to every word and was quiet pleased to hear the Art Club would be meeting. It was the only thing she signed up for. It was one of the only things she cared about. When she heard homecoming, it came with mixed emotions. On one hand, it's a party so she wants to go. But on the other hand, who's she suppose to go with? She sure as hell isn't going alone. Ready to go to Art Club, she stood up and grabbed her sketch book, throwing her coffee out on the way.

She sighed to herself as she walked, not to sure what she was going to do when she got there. Probably just show off her sketches then end up just talking. Yeah, that's usually what happens when you put a few teenagers into a room together. Shaking her head slightly, her eyes drifted across the hallway and she let out another sigh. "I'm really in the sighing mood, ain't I." Cali said to herself rather sarcastically as she went into the room and sat down. She put her sketch book in front of her and put her elbows in the table and looked at the door and waited for someone, anyone, to come through the door so she can at least talk to someone.

As Kennedy says her good-byes, she adds in last minute, "By the way, we have Quiz Bowl together! We'll discuss Homecoming after our clubs?" Before Arabella could reply, Kennedy had just disappeared around the corner already heading over to her club. Oh, Homecoming. My awkward turtle’s nightmare. Arabella isn’t exactly what you describe a social butterfly, in fact, she’s the exact opposite. So, social events such as dances (including Prom) terrify her immensely. Arabella also hates the fact that she would have to dress up in a dress, heels, and have that big pressure to have a date. The social semiformal dance held at the beginning of every year in high school and it would be her first time going (if she does decide to go) since she disappears off to the library during this time the previous two years.

Sighing, Arabella glanced up at the library one last time with a sad expression, then turns around heading over to Room 105 in the English wing. After a couple minutes, Arabella barely glanced down at her watch to make sure she wouldn't be late. But in return, she is greeted by shock after looking at the time and realizes she was going to be late if she kept walking at the same pace. Clutching her book tightly in one hand, and Arabella begins running through the halls stopping every few seconds to catch her breath. A couple minutes later, she slows down to a speed walk when she notices the classroom in eyesight. Arabella pauses in front of the door bracing herself for what comes next. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale. It's gonna be alright. Then puts on a smile and walks in greeting Mr. Mathews politely, forgetting about her whole Homecoming situation.

As she surveys around the classroom for a seat she recognizes a familiar face, Louis. Although Arabella is an awkward turtle, she is only like that around unfamiliar people and strangers. If seeing a close friend she is completely willing to go up to that person and start the conversation first; though there are a few exceptions to this. This time isn't one. "Hey Louis. I didn't know you were in the Debate Team!" She smiles playfully before sliding into the seat next to him. Although people have a hard time understanding Louis since his vocabulary is extremely complex, Arabella likes learning new complex words to add into her vocabulary. Arabella gets comfortable in the seat then prepares herself for his lengthy complex response with her ears alert and her eyes on him.

On her way to Art Club Scarlett began tapping on her sketchbook with her pencil with her mind wandering off. Homecoming, it’s almost as bad as Prom. It’s my senior year though, I should be spending/living it to the fullest. Going the extra mile, all that senior junk. But. Schoolwork. Gahh, what am I thinking? College is just around the corner. But. It’s my last year of high school. But. I don’t even have a date. Scarlett’s thoughts went back and forth like this before finally deciding on going only if she had date. Which she highly doubts she would even be able to get one, which shouldn’t be a problem since she’s not completely positive if she wants to go.

By the time Scarlett made up her mind, she was already right in front of room 215. Snapping out of her thoughts before she ran into the door, she took a deep breath. Then clutching her sketchbook tightly against her chest with the cover hidden. Scarlett didn’t want to make it extremely oblivious she had a sketchbook and her passion for drawing. Few people knew about it, so she figured joining the art club wouldn’t hurt. Then slowly walked in the classroom feeling a bit hesitant about if she should had joined Art Club or not.

“Hello Miss Miyuki!” greeting the teacher then looked around for a seat. Art club hadn’t begun yet so there were hushed tones of chitter chatter among the students. Choosing one by the window, she strolled up to her seat slowly. Window seats were the best in her opinion. You’d had something to look at besides the same old boring posters they always had on walls. Placing her sketchbook and pencils neatly on the desk she slid into the chair with ease getting comfortable of where she's sitting. She propped her elbow against the desk and rested her head on her hand. Scarlett glanced around the classroom with a bored expression looking for any friends while tapping on her sketchbook with her other free hand.

Her eyes stopped on the only other familiar face she knew, Cali Hawks. Scarlett had two choices, to be a loner in Art Club or hang out with at least one other person. She chose the later, picking up all her things and slid right into the seat next to Cali. “Hey Cali. So I guess we’re both in the Art Club together.” Scarlett smiled stating the obvious in attempt to start a conversation between the two. “What other clubs did you sign up for?” She asked while neatly arranging her sketchbook and pencils on the corner of her desk.

Cali had sat there in the art room staring at the door and watching people come in the door. Most of them, she watched as they walked past her and went to sit down. But after awhile of this, she let out a sigh and looked down at the desk and opened her sketch book. The pages were filled of tens of thousands of little sketching. Most of the sketches were in plan black and white by pen for the outline and pencil for the shading. The sketches ranged from little random simple shapes like stars and hearts all the way to highly detailed caricatures. Just her style, I guess.

After a moment, she heard a familiar voice beside her say "Hey Cali. So I guess we’re both in the Art Club together." Cali looked over with a smile and slightly raised eyebrow at Scarlett's statement of the obvious. "Yeah." She said with a small laugh and a smile. After a moment, Scarlett asked "What other clubs did you sign up for?" To which Cali replied with a slight shrug. "This is actually the only club I joined." She said in her normal 'not-a-big-deal' nonchalant way and her eyes glancing down to Scarlett's obvious sketchbook and pencils she was arranging. A small smirky-looking smile made it's way across Cali's fast as an eyebrow cocked slightly and she looked back at Scarlett, trying to make eye contact like she usually does. "You got any sketches?" She asked with a blink and a smile as her curiosity boiled up. Art and sketches is one of the many things that Cali has interest in, so it was obvious she was going to be interested in anything anyone drew.
