Survival Area

This small town is where reality travels to die. Vivid, eldritch horrors savage the mind, these attacks growing stronger the closer one gets to this place and the longer they stay. Little is known about the tiny town that once laid beneath it all, and those who have dared sought out the source of these abominations have never been seen again.

One can expect to be assaulted by twisted spirits as they begin entering the perimeter, the phantoms appearing from seemingly nowhere to rush them. If the spirits touch someone they will pass through them, but not without taking a little bit of their life energy with them.

As one gets even closer their mind falls under attack, intense and vivid hallucinations making it impossible to ever get a clear view of the town. Attacks by spirits become more frequent and one might find themselves unable to hear anyone around them. Their sense of balance will start going haywire shortly after, after which their chances of escape become slim.

Closing one's eyes would seem to reduce the effects of this anomaly somewhat.
