Agent of Wrath

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by TheNoremac42

Description

A long, long time ago...

In a galaxy far, far away...

There was once a mighty Dark Lord of the Sith. He had fought in a dozen wars, laid waste to entire armies, and commanded legions of soldiers and apprentices. Kings rose and fell at his command, and empires crumbled beneath his heel. The Sith Empire flourished under his protection, and its enemies were crushed.

His name was Wrath.

Wrath was strong, powerful, and fearless. However, he was not like the lesser Sith that surrounded him. While his colleagues bickered, backstabbed, and consolidated their own power, Wrath fought for the Empire as a whole. He inspired his allies and struck fear into his enemies, yet he always acted with honor. His passions gave him strength, but they did not control him.

It came to pass that Wrath had fallen in love with his greatest apprentice, and she had fallen for him. Together they had sons and daughters, all strong with the Force. They trained many apprentices and grew old together as the Empire grew strong. However, it came one day that his beloved did not rise - and became one with the Force.

Consumed with melancholy, Wrath descended into a deep meditation to contemplate the loss of his wife and life-partner. Days, weeks, months, and years drifted by as the galaxy went on without its protector. Finally, when he awoke, Wrath was shocked to learn that his children had all passed into the Force and his grand-children were old and gray.

Eighty years had passed.

Wrath had sustained his body purely on the Force for decades - unaware of the passage of time. He spent many days contemplating this revelation. If he would surpass all of his descendants, what would be his legacy? What would be the legacy of every civilization when they passed into the fog of time.

So it came to pass that Wrath departed Sith and Republic Space and fled into the uncharted wilds of the galaxy. It was there that he settled upon a deserted world and constructed a stronghold that would stand the test of time. There, in his sanctuary, he forged an army of droids with technology perfected from the Eternal Empire. They were constructs of steel, yet the Force flowed through them. Wrath unleashed them upon the galaxy and said...

"Go forth, my Agents. Go forth and seek out every kingdom, every inhabited world, and every sapient species. Hide yourselves among them and gather their knowledge and wisdom. Bring me their arts and their sciences so their legacies will be preserved after their cities are ash and their bones are dust. Through us, they will live on. Through us, they will never truly die."

These are the Agents of Wrath, and they will stop at nothing to complete the Directive.

While the troopers and Jedi played their game of cat and mouse, several shadows lurked in the darkness of the spaceport. They moved unseen and unheard to all but the most perceptive. Thermal and motion scanners practically looked passed them as they drifted like ghosts. Only a faint shimmering of the air out of the corner of someone's eye would be the only sign of their passing, and yet they remained high above prying eyes and inquisitive ears.

The Agents of Wrath were drawn to the object in the Jedi's possession. It called to them, like a siren's song. Its power - its darkness - spoke to them in much the same way their Master did.

The Directive demanded they acquire it.

And so they would.

Kinara supressed a laugh as Cynthiana fell once more into the shit just like so many years ago. She looked to Snowbund, however as she swore and tilted her head. "My my...such language..." She smirked. She then cleared her throat and opened her bag, feeling around to make sure everything was where it belonged, and after doing so nodded, slinging it over her shoulder with the strap and tightening it.

She sighed and looked around. "How are we going to get out of here? It isn't like we have time to cut a hole somewhere before they start shooting down at us." She looked to her comrades as she talked softly; wanting not to be heard. This was almost just like back on Moorja, except Master Androth wouldn't be there to save them this time. They'd have to get their way out by themselves if that's what it came to.

She sighed and closed her eyes; reaching out with the force for an answer to their problem.

Poor Cynthiana never caught a break, thankfully the Force kept the holocron clean as she clawed her way to the top of the lift as Kinara and Snowbund stood atop it. "I'm down here!" the Kuatian grumbled unhappy at landing in shit again, it was bad enough she got nearly drowned in the stuff on Moorja, at least this shit did not have stuff living in it

"There is no way in the name of the Force I'm touching you in that stuff!" Snowbund had a mirthful look on her face, she had to keep from laughing as Cynthiana had indeed landed in shit the last time they really saw each other, after the loss of both Master Tahl and Master Riyec, Yoda had taken on the completion of her training throughout the clone wars.

Cynthiana gave Snowbund a really dirty look, Snowbund broke up laughing which quickly stopped as a sudden force push from nowhere sent her dead into the shit as Cynthiana clawed her way onto the top of the lift and stood up, totally soaking wet in shit and started cleaning her hair of the stuff as Snowbund growled something and clawed her way back up, possibly for the first time letting Kinara see the true Kraethian feline that was Snowbund, a beautiful snowleopard.

Of course Snowbund reeled on Cynthiana about to throw a punch rather quickly when something stopped the snowloepard, both Kinara's words, and also the fact that like Cynthiana, she was drenched in shit with the stuff also in her own hair. Which ended upo making the snowloepard laugh crazily briefly before nearly falling off the lift as Cynthiana mumbled softly, though heard by both her friends "At least there's nothing living down here with us like on Moorja"

The shadows moved like cats through the spaceport rafters. They quickly located the turbolift shaft. A bluish-white light materialized in the darkness and illuminated three cloaked figures. One of the figures pressed the light against the wall of the turbolift and the metal started glowing red.

The Jedi in the turbolift would suddenly find a shower of sparks originating from somewhere above them in the lift.

Kinara began to pace back and forth as she thought of a way out of this situation. There wasn't a clean way out; and she was so tired that she'd pass out half way through the shit they'd have to crawl through to escape. There was only one way out, and it was in the path of the Sith Troopers.

"Looks like our only way out is back by those Sith Troopers; I mean...come on, we can take them, right? The three of us and our skills?" She asked calmly. It was then that the shower of sparks began to pour down on them from above and Kinara shook her head, confused. "What the...." She activated her lightsaber, the forest green glow illuminating the area a bit.

"I think....we're about to have company." she said softly while she looked up, reaching out with the Force to try and determine was was coming for them; and what they were after.

Cynthiana was about to retort, there was no way she was going near any Sith troops. It was bad enough her face was recognised by the spaceport personel that one of them had to have turned her in to the nearest Imperial Post. She looked around, turbolifts were almost always the same. "We're going back up, but not without shelter" She said dropping to one knee she hammered a gloved fist hard on a panel of the roof of the turbolift they stood upon, breaking it open to show a few wires. She started rewiring a few panels, some of them sparked in her hands. It was then the sparks rained down. What the ?

"Why dont we just take that open door over there instead ? Wait nevermind. That smells worse then where we are now" Snowbund said, it was true, that open door lead dead into the shit that Cynthiana landed in.

"Got it! Door's open!" Cynthiana kicked at the next panel, it broke and fell into the turbolift, the door was open on the lowest sublevel of the spaceport. Which was, in all accounts, a really bad idea to go.... downwards and UNDER the dang place. there was a mess of pipes and wires and Force knew what else was down there. Without waiting for an answer Cynthiana dropped into the opening, her saberstaff in one hand as she went to the door, open to the corridor beyond.

Snowbund then noticed that Kinara didn't exactly look awake. "You Alright ?" the Kraethian asked her friend and former student, "You dont look too good." Already thinking of getting offworld was a good idea. But all she needed was her registratar to come in the mail. On Coruscant the mail was stupid quickly delivered, everything on time, in this backwater city of a planet it took far longer. Sometimes months or even years to get something from offworld.

Finally, the ghostly blue light vanished. Two of the figures reached out and gripped the edges of the glowing red circle of steel. The edges crumpled like cardboard as the plate was wrenched from the wall and tossed aside.

<< Infiltration complete. Initiate extraction. >>

The cloaked figures leaped through the freshly made hole and flew down the turbolift shaft. One skid along the wall, causing a fresh avalanche of sparks to follow in his wake, while the other two simply... fell.

They landed before Kinara and Snowbound with the grace of cats - betrayed by the thunderous clang of metal striking metal. Two sets of glowing eyes narrowed coldly upon the Jedi with calculating indifference. Their hands flashed to reveal two sets of gold lightsabers - one in each of their metallic hands. Despite being forged of cold and unfeeling durasteel, the Force permeated and flowed through the droids like the Jedi. It was neither Light nor Dark - it simply was.

"Surrender the Artifact," one of the droids said in its heavily modulated voice. "and potentially lethal force will not be utilized."

Kinara blinked slowly; fighting the urge to lean towards Snowbund in search for aid and comfort; there were more pressing matters. She shook her head and pointed the tip of her lightsaber at the droids that landed before her and her former Master. Droids? With the Force? Oh this...wasn't good.

Artifact? "Don't tell me...." she lowered her lightsaber and looked to Cynthiana. "You still have that thing?!" She managed to raise her voice before she stumbled a half step to the right, her strength giving as her body began to succumb to the sheer exhaustion it was under.

The Jedi of Neutrality deactivated her lightsaber and slipped it back to her belt; she was in no condition to fight, and she knew it. Instead, she would make a distraction. Gathering what Force Energy she could, she would let out a mighty push against the light-saber-wielding droids, and then swiftly begin to lift the Turbo lift; refusing to go deeper into Wing-City's underground and consequently be covered in shit.

After her motion was done; Kinara's knees buckled, and she fell onto her hands and knees before collapsing completely onto the cold metal surface of the Turbolift's roof, eyes just barely open as she fought off the urge to slip into unconsciousness. "Leave me....I'll be...." her eyes closed and she fell unconscious there; no longer a threat to anyone or anything. But of course; also an easy target.

Snowbund had to stare at the droids that landed between her and Kinara and the way into the lift with Cynthiana below, Artefact ? Seriously ? She looked to Kinara who called down to Cynthiana, "Wait, you mean that old holocron from Moorja ?" Snowbund said aloud, Oh Sithspit! "You still have that thing ?!"

"What was I supposed to do with it ? Give it to the Sith when it wont work for her ? Of course I still got it, apparently it only wants t... WHOA!" A sudden lurcdh sent the tutrbo lift upwards and Cynthiana hit the floor of it in a heap as the lift shot upwards. She lifted up her head as she heard a thud from above, Kinara! was her only thought, the Holocron only answered to Cynthiana, as it had lured her on Moorja to its chamber, which then brought about the death of Master Thanos Riyec and her fellow Padawan.

When Kinara hit the roof of the turbo lift Snowbund flicked up her arm, using the Force as quick as she could to knock the droids away, her concern squarely on her friend. "Kinara!" Kinara was exausted. Yeah, they were headed off world for sure then! Using the force Snowbund slowed the lift as it neared the top floor, where her YT was kept as she picked up Kinara in her strong arms as Cynthiana used the force to jump ontop of the lift through the hole, sabberstaff in hand ready for use against the droids.

Wait, when did droids start using lightsabers ??

The droids braced themselves as the Force push washed over them. Though the telekinetic wave pushed them back a few centimeters, most of it simply slid off and around their natural Force aura. When the turbolift suddenly lurched upward, the two droids dropped onto all fours.

Suddenly the third droid dropped between the other two and centered its cybernetic eyes on Cynthiana. It activated its twin lightsabers and went into a Makashi battle stance.

<< Target acquired. Beginning tactical assessment. Uploading Form II module. Disregard the incapacitated organic. >>

<< Affirmative. >>

The other two droids rose to their feet with a swift motion and matched the center droid's stance perfectly. They stood silent for a brief moment before all three lunged at Snowbound and Cynthiana with quick and precise lightsaber strikes and balanced footwork.

Through the haze known as unconsciousness, Kinara was just barely of what was going on around her due to her strong connection to the Force. Everything was in shadow around her as the Force fed her basic info from around her; Cynthiana emerged from the turbo lift, Snowbund picked her up, and the Droids entered a battle stance; Makashi it looked like.

Aside from that; every other fine detail was gone from her; she could only see the outlines of the Force flowing through their bodies; even through the Droids....which struck her as odd. So odd in fact that she let out an audible groan and shifted in Snowbund's arms slightly.

#, as written by Paiyaku
In the midst of the confrontation a thing man ran towards the fight and dropped a glowing green orb. His face said to any who saw him that he was horrified, but as he held the green orb he started screaming in agony. While he screamed his body and clothing reduced to a green sludge and then dust. The green glowing orb sat on the ground where it fell from the man's grasp. If anything scanned it, it would be obvious this orb held an immense amount of power.

Raising her arm Snowbund used one of the vambraces, cortosis designed and mandoloran made. To block the strikes aimed at her and Kinara. But her defense was weak, one armed and trying to shield Kinara. But all of it stopped when Cynthiana joined the fight. One droid was electrocuted with what had to have been Force Lightning, what had Cynthiana learned from that holocron anyhow ? Was it how she had survived the Purge to begin with ? The other two droids, one seemed to back up, recording the fight as Cynthiana met the second droid in saber combat.

Cynthiana was a blur of motion, motion that Snowbund had trouble following due to how skilled and fast Cynthiana was on her feet. The pink blades of the saberstaff were a not stop motion of skill against a droid with two sabers. before she finally knocked both sabers from the droids arms, hands and all before aiming towards the droids neck. And coming to a odd halt.

It was not every day when she came across one so skilled, and a droid at that; there had to have been a way, a means to learn from such things, spar with perhaps ?

Either that or it was the roof of the cargo turbo lift touching the droids's head and only just barely touching it that made her stop. Or maybe it was the voice of the third droid speaking ?

Or maybe the fact that she felt another force sensitive not far away coming towards them ?

Lightning danced across the first droid's body. It's lightsaber barely blocked the first wave before it was driven on the defensive. The droid disengaged from Snowbound in a jerking motion as it tried to regain control of its body from the spastic electrical shocks.

The droid matched Cynthiana blow for blow. It tracked her saberstaff carefully with its bionic eyes. Gold lightsabers flashed in a skillful blur while the droid scraped the floor with its metallic feet in a fluid-like dance to retain its balance. Despite the droid fighting with the skill and grace of a master duelist, however, it was disarmed with a powerful sweep of the saberstaff.

It glanced between its severed limbs and the saberstaff pressed against its neck. Thousands of calculations ran through the droid's mind as it tried to comprehend its error and adjust accordingly.

<< Tactical analysis complete. Unknown combat form being utilized. Recommend tagging objective with tracer and withdrawing. >>

The first two droids immediately stepped back as their forms distorted into empty air. However, the third leaped at Cynthiana with a blinding speed. It slashed at her with a single lightsaber and attempted to weave through her defenses before grabbing the holocron bag. The droid would yank it in an attempt to snatch it away, but also subtly plant a subspace tracer beacon beside its contents.

Snowbund kept her grip on Kinara, going so far as to stand up carrying the girl in her now very strong feline arms, bridal style as the turbolift roof was even with the floor of the control tower top floor. It was time to go! Quickly exiting out the now wide open door, Snowbund carried Kinara in her arms.

So intent was Cynthiana on trying to figure out just what made this Droid tick when it suddenly vanished from her sight, and senses. Including the Force. In the name of Yoda what the Sithspit just happened ? She briefly wondered before the droid remaining jumped at her, the droid she had electrocuted with her lightning.

Fast as she could she defended against a lone saber before she stopped, the droids blade dangerously close to her face as her right hand held her own saberstaff, the droid arm in her left hand, within her arms reach. When it snatched for her bag, where the device was, the artefact that got her out of the Temple, to safety on Tython before going into the Unknown Regions for a few years before ending up on Arda.

She reacted, quickly a shot of lightning lanced from her fingers as she let go of the droid arm and danced backwards as quickly as she could, almost falling dead off the roof of the cargo turbolift as the droid.

She was barely able to piece it all together, Kinara on the ground, had the poor girl eaten anything recently ? The droids skilled in both the force and saber dueling. And one just tried to take the artefact away. Wonderful. Just frickin' wonderful. the droid was getting on her nerves. Lashing out with her saber she jabbed with one of the blades, the second blade off to keep herself safe. She had no idea of the tracer being placed whatsoeve either.

She was only aware of the lure of the darkness kept within the sack.

The droid seemed to want it, then not want it ?

The hell ?

With the droids gone Snowbund stood outdside the turbolift. "You coming ?" She called inside to Cynthiana, the sooner they got to her ship, which was actually a few dozen meters away through a door not far off; the sooner they could get off this shitpot of a backwater world.

The three droids watched the Jedi depart from the shadows. Their dark cloaks concealed their true metallic forms even as their stealth units shrouded them from view. They could still feel the artifact calling to them - singing its dark melody - as it faded into the background of the Force.

The amputated droid raised its arms to eye-level and inspected the smoking stubs. Charred and blackened durasteel sat where its hands once clenched lightsabers with deadly accuracy. It focused its bionic eyes on the burned steel, and the droid could already see a batallion of nanites working to repair the damage.

It would be good as new within a day or two.

Meanwhile, on an uninhabited world deep in wild space...

A robed figure sat silently in a massive, cold, and dark chamber. He rested on a black metallic throne that rose nearly two meters above the stone floor. Cold steps draped in a thick layer of dust lead to the dias where he resided. The room was as silent as the grave except for the figure's raspy breath.

Faded black armor clung to his body beneath the tattered robes that shrouded his body. A skull-shaped helmet covered his face beneath a concealing hood. Two pinpricks of crimson light burned in the eyes of the helmet. They stared unblinking - calculating, and as cold as the room in which he sat - at the hologram that danced on the floor before him.

The hologram depicted a humanoid woman dressed in black battling three saber droids. She was like a dancing viper spinning her saberstaff like a whirlwind of death. Despite the masterful programming of the droids, they quickly fell to her skills. Ocassionally the hologram would stop, rewind, and restart at random intervals.

The robed figure abruptly paused the footage. His glowing red eyes narrowed on the girl's face as he tented his gloved fingers.

"Interesting..." his voice echoed through the chamber and resonated with ancient power. "She uses techniques that I have not seen in a very long time... I can sense the darkness you carry with you... The burden on your heart. It is a burden I have felt. Tell me, how long you can withstand the darkness that you protect - or the darkness within yourself - before you can conquer it... or it conquers you?"

Lord Wrath leaned back in his throne and tapped a finger against his arm rest in thought. First, the padawan needed to be given a taste of true power. Only then could Wrath discern her potential.

"Perhaps..." he spoke to himself as he reached out through the Force. "Perhaps you will be worthy... Only time will tell."

With that, Wrath closed the hologram and stretched out into the stars with his senses. He felt each of his agents like small torches in the endless night. Worlds filled with life flew passed his mind's eyes like gargantuan bonfires, but he paid little attention to them. No... Lord Wrath searched for a single spark - a single grain of sand in the endless desert of space.

Cynthiana...

Snowbund carried Kinara to her ship. The old battered YT1300 was on its last legs and thankfully could get them to her other more flyable ship. The old YT1300 Snowbund was really starting to hate. and Cynthiana could see why pretty easily. Easily taking Kinara to the crew quarters, Snowbund started up the vessel and lifted off quickly from the planet. Though a few minutes later she landed next to a nicer much larger ship, a newer CR90 Corellian Corvette. Once moved to that vessel they headed to space. This day was just getting better and better

A ship fell out of hyperspace, they had fled another planet before just jumping, blindly at that, into hyperspace, Snowbund knew the desire to get as far as possible from Terra, Wing City, hell the whole of that area to begin with was a powderkeg r eady to go off. And it did not help much if at all that Cynthiana, her friend and fellow Jedi Master, carried something truly evil within her gear.

Dropping so suddenly from hyperspace however jerked them all out of calm relaxing. Slamming into the forward controls Snowbund jerked the Focused Fury Crystal to a dead stop in space, drifting there dead in space, the emergency lights flickered on inside the vessel. This was going to get rough for sure. Slapping her clawed hand on the intercomm Snowbund called to Cynthiana who was caring for Kinara in the medical bay "Status ?"

In the medbay was a absolute mess from hell. "Oy! Call your stops next time Snowball!" Clearly Cynthiana wasn't happy getting jerked across the ship so much, she had to literally tie dow her gear to keep the holocron from getting loose and worse. She sat up and pulled herself to her feet next ot the bed where oddly Kinara still slept, thankfully the younger girl was simply tired. Cynthiana envied her for sleeping, at least she never saw her use Force Lightning... yet. "What's going on Snow ? Where are we ?" She felt at the edges of her mind someone searching for her. Someone..... different.

"No idea. We dropped out of hyperspace into a unknown region. Trying to get backup power going but nothing is working, sensors picking up a planet though. See if you can activate the main systems down there, a coupleling may have come loose again." Snowbund had been modifiing her CR90 extensively inside and out. "Should have a support control network somewhere. Check the maintien corridor, goes off the medbay" Snowbund turned off the intercomm and started trying to get her ship started back up again

What had dropped them from hyperspace ?

Cynthiana did as requested, after making sure that Kinara was safe in the bed inside the medbay she went to the side panel and accessed the maintenence corridor. Moving to some wires she activated her commlink. "Looks like a fuse burned out. Hyperdrive reading says its ready for jump, but we're in a grav well of some kind. Can you scan for cloaking networks ?"

"Negative, I reached out with the Foce upon drop, nothing is out here that I can see or feel" Snowbund said.

Cynthiana shivered as she felt that presence again. Ah Sithshit. Someone had forced them out of hyperspace into this unknown region, and she could feel someone reaching out trying to find her, someone she felt oddly scared of. Those droids maybe ? Nah she bested them. She had no real combat forms with her staffsaber, she just fought for survival really. No exact forms or styles, just fight it out and walk away alive. "Snowbund, where are we exactly ? What do you see ?" Cynthiana asked on her commlink

Snowbund stared at the planet. "We're in a system, but nothing is coming up on sensors and the galaxy map is out of shit again." A loud WHACK was heard "Ok, we're back in business, Galaxy map is updating.... OK..... where are we ?.... wait... Ah Sithshit, what is this planet ? Oh by the Lightsaber Forge on Tython I hope this planet does not try to make me a rug like the last one"

"Why ? What is it ?" Cynthiana replaced another fuse and the lights came back on as main power was restored but the engines were still dead. Something killed their engines. And she had a feeling of why. "Are you sure you cannot feel anything through the Force ? I mean come on, even the legendary Sunrider could find anything through the Force without skipping a beat! So says the Tython histories at least."

"How the Sithshit did you know about my ancestory ?" Snowbund asked suddenly confused, her ancestor, Deiyi Sunrider, the first of the Sunrider clan and the reason why each Sunrider Jedi was so strong in the Force with a natural connection to it to begin with.

"Wait, what ? You mean your last name is Sunrider ?" Cynthyiana asked as she put the last fuse into place and the engines struggled to restart "How is that even possible for a Kraethian Shifter to be related to the Force like Deiyi Sunrider was ?" Cynthiana did not know that Snowbund had a older brother and two younger sisters.

"No idea, let me try something! How's Kinara ?", Snowbund said as she forced herself to calm down. Cynthiana was right. Deiyi WAS the Force Incarnate, So with that thought Snowbund closed her eyes and focused inwards, then felt the Force as it spread from her. There.... Something was out there.

Something was using the Force to keep her dead in space!!!

  1. This post is a violation of The Multiverse's rules of Combat & Conflict, in that it does not give the opportunity for proper response from the affected parties. It is also a violation of the Multiverse's rules against forced actions, in that it forces an outcome on many characters across a number of locations. Every character effected's current activity becomes immediately encumbered, a forced outcome in and of itself. It also goes against the general spirit of The Multiverse, as it is forces a win/lose situation, instead of encouraging an exploration of a possibility. This post can be safely disregarded by all players of the Multiverse.

A second Ship winked in not more than a few thousand kilometers away from Corellian Corvette. It was close enough that the spatial shockwave could be felt. But the strange sleek looking vessel quickly put some distance between itself and Corvette. This vessel was a great deal smaller than the Reverence that appeared earlier.

This was a Reverence S Class ship, a highly sophisticated scout ship that often served as the vanguard for an Imperial Assault.

A moment after the ship flickered into space, there was a brief surge of energy as the hull began to supercool, phase-fields were being broadcast, and the vessel itself was enveloped in nothingness as it's stealth field washed over it.

---

Commander Elanna Torres was just recently assigned from the Iconoclast Battleship Sanctis Legate, to the Reverence S 'Nightraven' Her mission was simple, having been handed down from Admiral Nagala herself. Ascertain this world's candidacy for planetary assault. Verifying the civilization on the surface, any resource deposits, and possible defenses. Admiral Nagala was clear, that Elanna was to seek out possible defense systems that could make a potential invasion too costly.

The Nightraven eased into a cool and silent cruise, as the CIC lights dimmed to a dull red, and Torres kept her eyes on a small corvette class ship not far from their own position. She made a face and shook her head slightly.

"We're not the first ones here. Get detailed scans on this alien vessel." She ordered, while the AI Offered a slight nod.

"Get pilots to their Prowlers, get them down and give me thorough scans of the planet below. I want locations of all population centers." She ordered.

With a swift nod of the AI, Prowler pilots moved into their vessels, each Prowler was sleek, fast, and capable of providing detailed readouts.

"Prowlers will be ready to launch in one millicenton, Commander." The AI reported.

The Focused Fury Crystal floated in space, her reactor was active, yet, the engines themselves were dead. It just sat there in space. In a very wide orbit of the planet itself, spinning in a lazy circle. But its pilot and crew saw who just arrived, or was she seeing things ? oh no wait what the Sithspit Snowbund thought seeing the Rev float into view as the Corellian Corvette span lazily and she had a gander of the vessel before it faded from view, had she really seen such a vessel out of nowhere ? Or was this reguion of space like a nebulae they were to avoid at all costs ?

But whatever it was, ship or not, it was not what was keeping her engines dead. Someone with a strong connection to the Force killed her engines and forced hership to drop from hyperspace. But what scared her was the vessel, or rather, what she felt of those within it. Then again even with her strong connection to the Force through her family tree and decendcy.... Sometimes those with stronger Force connections had much stronger illusions. Oh dear. yes, she was scared. And why not, Kraethian fur was exepensive, and .... not exactly the best way to go. Triggering a Force Connection to her friend Snowbund said mentally "Cynthiana.... how are your.... diplomacy skills ?" The only time Snowbund was that scared was in the hands of the Sith, or Empire, or... worse

"Better then most, but not as good as I'd like, why ? What's wrong ?" Cynthiana mentally replied as she closed the panel on the fuse box and went back into the medical bay of the Focused Fury Crystal. the CEC Corvette had everythying that someone like Snowbund would want, 3.5 meter floor to ceiling passages, a standard class Nine escape pod which was basically the bedroom for Snowbund with complete controls to control the vessel if needed. And a T7 unit.

"We've no communications from the planet below, yet, I think you need to get up here" Snowbund replied, her vessel was lightly if that armed, but it was armored and shielded, yet... their shields were dead when they jumped to hyperspace, standard procedure of course, and with the engines down and unable ot start, their shields were gone as well, yet they did have the ray shielding, which defended against micrometorite damage and kept the life support working too

"On my way, fuses are all replaced, but I cant get the engines restarted" Cynthiana replied before cutting the connection. Cynthiana briefly paused as she felt something yet again searching through the Force for her. Something neither evil nor good. Just searching.

With her ship dead in the water, so to speak, she was defenseless as she felt through the Force something start scanning her ship. Snowbund shivered, clearly freaked out. This wasn't good. She hoped the planet was friendly. Maybe they could get a tow or a proper landing ?

Commander Torres was silently going over the readouts from the planet below, shaking her head as she moved her hand over the large holographic projection of Eterna.

"What about the ship? They appear to be stranded. Shall we render assistance?" Colonel Derrick asked as he turned to face Commander Torres.

"It wouldn't deviate from our mission." Torress affirmed, before she turned to her Helm crew.

"Bring us around, dock us with that vessel. Get marines ready to board." Torres said.

"I'll be in my ready room." She added as she turned to leave. All while the Reverence S Disengaged it's sophisticated stealth systems, revealing itself to the smaller Corvette as it passed overhead, slowly easing to a stop. The Reverence S wasn't large enough to bring the smaller CR90 Corvette into it's hangar bay, but it could dock. And would be doing just that as a high resolution scan enveloped the smaller corvette, a docking medium extended from the underside of the Reverence S, and the larger Aschen ship slowly began to descend as Marines circled the main docking hatch.

"Easy.." Torres said aloud. "Easy..."

"Standby..." The Helm officer reported. "We're latched!"

Both ships would jerk suddenly as the magnetic docking clamps of the Nightraven engaged, holding the CR90 in place, the Inertial dampeners of the Reverence S stopping the spinning action, as Marines moved to cycle the airlocks.

As the Focused Fury Crystal jerked slightly at something Snowbund felt a brief sense of fear, they were getting help ? What was that ? She hoped. But she doubted things could go easy. Nevertheless. if someone was going to help them, simply Let Cynthiana do the talking and all would be well. She hit the controls as the gravity within the ship equalised with something connected to it and she quickly shifted to her human appearence, hopefully she'd be taken for a normal human, but with most empires she had come across in her time in this weird galaxy, they had tech that could pass it by, could tell she was not a normal human.

"Relax, its unlike you to be so high strung Snowball; just stay here and everything will be fine.... best case scenario, we get help, worst case scenario.... we get killed" Cynthiana just had to get one last crack in as she left the bridge and went to the observation deck

"Lets try not to think about that second one alright. T7, go with Cynthiana please, you have the tech readouts for Focused Fury Crystal, hopefully we can get some aid to restart our engines. Or find out what killed them. Maybe even find out where we are too" T7 whistled and beeped as well as briefly danced on his three wheels before turning and darting after Cynthiana who headed for the lift to the observation deck

The top hatch slowly began to cycle fresh clean air as she arrived. She used the force to keep herself calm. but so far so good at the very least. She hit the controls to cycle the airlock. Then it occurred to her, where they coming aboard, or was she going to them to leave Snowbund and Kinara alone on the Focused Fury Cystal ?

Cynthiana once again felt the slightest hint of something searching for her, something neither evil or good, something just.... searching relentlessly for her.

All she could ask was....

Why ?

A Squad of four Marines, in black tactical gear, circled the hatch, which slid open with a hiss, The airlocks had cycled, and the en began to rappel down into the white interior of the CR90 Corvette. Their eyes took a moment to adjust, as the Reverence S was kept darkened to minimize emissions. Each Aschen soldier was heavily equipped, their boots hitting the floor with an audible thunk.

They surveyed their surroundings, and began to fan out, a moment later Commander Torres hit the floor down the rappeling rope. Elanna Torres was a young brunette, with strong features contrasted by her dark Imperial uniform.

Flanked on either side by Marines, she waited for someone to greet them.

Hopefully these people are friendly The Jedi Master thought as the Airlock cycled, Cynthiana herself was dressed in a black minidress of some form, not the typical Jedi clothing as it was Kuat standards. Tall black boots lightly armored adnored her fee while long black gloves covered her hands and arms. Her saberstaff hung on her right side under her arm in a form of a shoulder hoslter for it it seemed. T7 was painted a light silver with gray and gold markings. Seeing they had vistiors she hit the door controls to open the observation deck once she was sure the airlock was in the full green and then stepped inside amid the steam.

Compared to the stark white of the interior of the CR90 class series of Corvettes by CEC, Cynthiana was actually surprised to find several men near the door in full military gear, but it lasted but a brief second or two as she figured these men were guarding in the case of trouble, before her eyes locked on Elanna as she stepped into view of the Aschen woman it was clear to the Jedi that the woman before her was one of a respectful type. And so respect was indeed to be given.

The droid at her side beeped and chortled something and danced a bit, Cynthiana tried to not smile at what T7 said, yet she hoped these people could help, thankfully they stopped the constant spinning they were stuck in for the moment. Cynthiana stopped about two maybe three paces from Elanna and bowed slightly in greeting. "Welcome aboard the Focused Fury Crystal. I trust we are not deviating you from an assigned task of any form by docking with us ?" Sithshit she hoped this could work. She had no idea what Elanna's mission was, or why the Aschen were there, she had never heard of them to be honest, having just arrived on the planet Arda, otherwise known as Terra, by chance alone to get away from a Sith patrol only to get found by another patrol plus those droids

Snowbund kept an eye on the galaxy map as it continued to update, but so far she found nothing on the planet whose system her ship was drifting within. Out there in the system somewhere someone was trapping them. She hoped Cynthiana knew what she was doing. One wrong word and they were doomed for sure. All of a sudden though Snowbund found herself wanting those droids they brefly fought, on their side should things go wrong.

But then again, something within the Force told her that everything was going to be alright. She just hoped it was true.
