Equipment:

  • The "Second Skin" Battle Suit - A bulletproof suit that is thin enough to earn its name. The artful blue lines that are in abundance on the suit charge energy beams on Ariel's hands that she can project forth with highly destructive properties. It also has a cloak setting that can match her to her surroundings or disguise her to the appropriate event.

  • The visor has a heat vision, night vision, and target setting with a zoom feature.

  • Spark Boots allow Ariel to jump to heights impossible for the normal human being. Her heels are a useful extension that allow her to land from these heights without harm, and carry a little extra weight to make sure she'll always land feet first.

  • The All-Purpose Bandit Pulse Rifle - On numerous travels throughout the universe, Ariel has picked up many a trick and has since realized that a simple pulse rifle can't do it all. The pulse rifle has a high fire rate and can hold up to one hundred clips, fully automatic. They come in shock rounds that destroys shielding and fries nerves. There's a grenade launcher attachment to the bottom, but the grenades within this gun don't come in a fiery explosion. Instead, it releases an adamant net that can withstand being dipped in magma for a short amount of time- something she created on a long trip to a volcanic planet, chasing after an important bounty that needed to be caught alive.

  • Wyverntail- A whip with acidic properties, able to melt through skin and various metals.

  • Proximity Spheres, picked up from the Slayer company, they slow a certain area with a radius of six feet for three and a half seconds.

So begins...

Ariel Moore's Story

A hole opened up in the ceiling.

A rabbit hole, to be exact. And, where a rabbit hole opened up, of course an Alice had to fall out. An event not rare to the Multiverse.

Landing with a loud crash onto a table was Wing City's next Alice. Except her name was not Alice. It was something completely different. It started with an A, of course, but really, it was completely different.

The girl wriggled a bit, apparently unhurt from the crash, and sat up, her eyes wide. She was a skinny little thing, with stick legs and a round face. She had a head of short brown hair, her eyes were slanted and black, and she had a light dotting of white freckles on her face.

Yeah, white freckles. Because that was awesome. She dusted off the rather baggy shirt she wore, which came down to her knees, and got up onto her feet to look around, spreading her arms out and sinking her knees as though she were straight out of a spy movie.

"Awhat...what...what...the fuck..."

Both was probably right.

The girl clenched her fists, and the sleeves of her shirt, too big for her, fell over them. She released her fingers again and moved the sleeves back in place. Her next course of action was to rub her bum - because it hurt.

The girl sucked in air through her teeth, arching her head back. "Dammit, dammit, dammit!" she cried. She stopped abruptly, looking around.

Specifically at the guy who was staring. She narrowed her eyes. "What? Like whatcha see?"

He kept looking. Creeper. The girl pursed her lips slowly. Her fingers wiggled at her sides.

Well, she just fell through a hole. Out of nowhere. Might as well do something instead of just stand there, you know...just...staring.

The girl strut over to Lark, chin up, and reached out a foot to draw out a stool. She twirled and sat on it, folded her arms, then nodded.

"This is a dream."

The girl nodded again. "Of course! Though, I think I could have done a better job. I mean, really?" She tilted her head toward him and looked at him with her eyes knocking the top of her lids. "White hair? So. Last. Week." She put on a feign valley-girl accent.

She grinned.

The girl folded her legs, then leaned her wrists onto the edge of the counter. Her fingers clasped together, and she shrugged to the young man.

"I dunno. If I focus really hard will you be a ginger? You should already be a ginger, I think. Dreams don't have souls."

The girl tapped her fingers together and twirled her seat, sickeningly slow, toward the guy.

"Well, I dunno! At least it's better than bleaching your hea-" She paused, mumbling, "Ah, no...maybe a ginger would rather bleach their heads...but then they'd be really, really white all over, because most gingers are really white. And stuff." her eyes popped up to the boy's face, then to his shirt.

"Ohmaigawdakitty!"

Without permission, or even so much as a warning, the girl reached out to grasp the edges of his shirt and stretch it out gently so that she could look at it better.

"That's cuuuuuuute." she said, grinning. Suddenly realizing something, she tilted her head to the side. "Wait. You're either gay or have really nice fashion sense."

"Oh. Well, most guys really don't care, you know? They just kinda...throw something on." Again, she shrugged, then let go of the boy's shirt. She hooked her foot on the stool leg, pulled, and began to spin in her stool.

"So, like, this dream ain't really tellin' me what's going on. I think we're in a bar or something. Can you let me in on whats happening, really? Something strange and unexpected should happen soon, right? Because dreams aren't boring."

She stopped spinning.

"Heeeey. You alright?" she asked, leaning forward with her hands on her knees. "I mean, when I said something unexpected should happen soon, I meant a monster out of nowhere or the floor opening up underneath my feet again. Not...well...sulking."

The girl put her hands between her knees. She absolutely could not sit still for the love of her. "Ohhhh. Got the case of the blues. Why's that?"

Maybe if she talked to this boy and figured something out she could wake up and finish her overdue math homework. Yeah, sounded like a plan.

She nodded. "Yeah. Sorta." the girl replied, kicking her feet. "I kinda get what you mean. I mean, I'm in a dorm with the most 'holier-than-thou' roomate possible, several hundred miles away from everyone I know, in an all-girls college, so yeah...I can relate with loneliness."

She leaned back onto the counter, musing. "You know, we're kinda the same, you and I. Er. Sorta. Cuz what if I'm in a coma and I'll never wake up again? Then I'm stuck here forever!"

For some reason, the girl could not help but snicker.

"Yeah, funny. Here. Where is 'here' exactly?" she asked him. "Or do I get to name is? Oh, I betcha I can come up with an excellent name. Unless, like, a coma dream is a lot different." She pursed her lips again.

"Wait. Now that I think about it, I do remember falling off the top bunk..." Her eyes widened. "Ohmygod. I think I'm actually in an actual coma."

One of the young woman's hands came up to her chin, tapping it slowly. "Okay. An inter-dimensional wormhole. Plausible. And say that I actually did fall through one. I can't really get back, can I?" she asked, folding her legs in the seat, revealing that she actually was wearing shorts underneath that baggy t-shirt.

"And if I can't, then I got no cash, no credit card, no place to stay...I'll have to sleep in the streets. It's winter here, too, right?"

She spun in the chair again, eyes out in front of her as she thought about this.

"Well, I guess, since I actually believe this is a dream, it couldn't hurt to accept that offer. I mean, you don't look like you're a creep, either. I might be wrong, but it doesn't matter." She shrugged, heaving a sigh before she propped her feet up onto the counter.

"What's your name?"

The girl's fingers, cold and scraggy fingers would close around Lark's. "I'm Ariel. And before you go on about the mermaid, I existed first." she announced, shaking his hand. "You know, your hand is warm. Do you feel things in dreams? Weeeird."

The minute the yoshi came in, Ariel's head turned. "No way." she said, an eyebrow turning up. "Yoshi? Yeah, Lark, you're lying. This place isn't real at all."

"Yeah, really. I bet I will. I mean, if I'm in this coma and I won't be waking up soon, I guess I'll be here quite a while and start thinking it's all actually real and stuff. Everything really does seem pretty re-" Ariel's jaw dropped.

"God dayum. What the hell is that?" She nodded to the demon who had entered, raising her eyebrows. "I think...I've been playing too much...ah..." She rolled her hands, trying to find the name, "...well shit, I can't think of any game or movie I've seen that had anything with him in it lately!"

Ariel was half stunned, half thoughtful. "Well, I dunno, Lark! It actually would make a lot of sense if this was hell! Though, honestly, hell ain't that bad, and I don't think I've done anything particularly bad...or...whoops..." Ariel bowed her head.

"I might have accidently committed suicide? That's kinda hard to tell. Ah, or what if this is the place between heaven and hell? That would make a lot of sense! Ah, bummer. I'm dead, then. Or in a coma. Wow, life is short, man."

She looked down at the yoshi and tilted her head to the side. "So you're a black yoshi. Alright, alright. So I'm not a racist. Great." She was mostly talking to herself, because this thing was a yoshi. Even if it was a dream one did not...simply...talk...to a yoshi...right?

It was her second time here.

She and Lark had done to his place, and she'd slept on his couch. She really was not sure how she had gone to sleep and not woken up back in her room. After all, this was a dream.

...well, there was the possibility that she was dead and this was a strange middle-earth type of thing, but she rather not to think a bout it. Also, she remembered she might be in a coma. Is that why she had not actually woken up in a hospital or a room yet? Hmm.

In any case, might as well live the dream she was in. Do something to cure the boredom. Into Gambit's came a rather skinny young girl, possibly in her late teens. She was 5'6", round in face, with a light dash of white freckles on her tanned cheeks. She wore a very baggy shirt with long sleeves. It came down to her knees. On her feet were sneakers.

"Alright, so Gambit's...yeah..."

The girl stopped, staring at the snowman, the short kid, and the girl. She raised a brow as the rat was flung over his head.

"Iiiie!" she cried, coiling her hands in toward her chest. "Jesus, man! I know I'm screwed up, but hell, I didn't think I was that bad!" she said, a hand over her mouth.

Intestines EVERYWHERE.

The girl went around a table and dodged the little boy tossing the rat around. She grimaced, tongue hanging out of her mouth, before she sat down at the counter. She kicked her feet, then looked at the touch-screen menu.

"Oh, fancy, really. At least something half-sane came out of this dream." she said, plugging in an order for a Margarita.

"Alright, so Gambit's...yeah..." she said to herself, eyes looking around. Ah! Ah, it was empty. Eeeexellent. Yeah. Really. Awesome.

What now? It's not like she had money...did she need money in a dream? Couldn't she...conjure up some money or something?

As the door whined open, the young girl turned, eyes landing on a pale, thin woman. The girl looked around. No one else here. Nothing else to do. "Then why not?" she asked herself out loud, strutting right over to the woman with the bandage on her head.

"That looks rough!" she said to her, taking a seat beside her. Why would her dream show her a woman with a bandage on her head? Had she actually fallen off her bed and banged her own, and was truly having a coma dream right now? Did this symbolize that? Weird.

"Hey, I'm Ariel! I don't know if you already know that, since you're part of it all, but yeah. Whats yours?" She held out her hand. "Your name, that is. What is it?"

"Part of...ohh, I probably shouldn't tell you. I dunno. It doesn't affect it in a bad way, right? That other guy knows...well, he denies it, but it's true. Yeah, I probably shouldn't talk about it. I should stop. Right now." The girl nodded to herself. Most would think she was the mental patient, not this woman with a bandage on her head. "You can't remember anything? That's really unfortunate!"

Would she remember anything when she woke up? Or would she be like this woman? Well...it was better if she just did not think about it.

The girl's eyes came up to the other woman who had come in, smelling just like the cigarette she had thrown away. Red hair. Pretty. Normal. Everything seemed normal today. It made her feel just a tad better. She was not dreaming up demons. She was not messed up. Not that way.

"No, I've never seen you before. I've never seen most of these people before."

The girl watched everyone leave. She was...ah...alone in the bar. Again. Well, disappointing. Was that what normally happened in bars? Then again, she was dreaming. Nothing was normal here. Nothing. She just had to go along with it. Was there something that said she had to survive the trials in her dream to live? She hoped not. It would be exciting sure, but...whoo! The stress.

She sat at the bar, kicking her legs, in deep thought. Wait. She could think in a dream? Inside her head? She never remembered doing that before. Everything usually....

"...blurted out. Maybe I should speak to myself more. Maybe that'll keep me sane."
