Not two short years ago Bristol was a stockbroker of some note whose intuition made him a lot of money while not being beset by the lifestyle. As he lived quite modestly Bristol was quite secure in his wealth when he became beset by some disease of still unknown origin. Through treatments by Logicroad Pharmaceuticals he's reported to have regained all of his his intellect but systemic neurological damage left him infirm and unable to walk effectively. That's where we were not a week ago until getting a earful from a doorman I bribed.

Bristol Stacks - Back in Black?
Last week, the man was seen walking out of his penthouse to get a cup of coffee at his local corner store. While our reporter asked him how he'd surmounted his disease he merely tapped the new carbon fiber body armor citing, "Tools make the man but Ego is who strikes your thumb." He refused all other comment. While reports have found evidence of some benefactor feeding him information and resources we have as yet been unable to discern them or the nature of the technology that has cured his disease. His carbon-fiber suit appears to be related but does not match any manufacturer known. If you thought there were a lot of open questions about this guy before, stay tuned!
Meanwhile, known to noone but himself and Myrkul's Vein, through an agreement with a Ductu, his limitations have been broken and the damage largely repaired. While the Ductu cannot repair the peripheral neurological damage that has resulted in the perturbation of his nerve cells she could more than repair his mind. His wit's at least a decade younger than it should be if not honed finer from the psionic bond with Ductu. While she can disbond Bristol cannot move effectively without her bypassing his damaged nerves. As she's a fairly massed Ductu she's evidenced in the 'armor' itself literally bonded to his surface and body interior. Much like armor since their first joining she has been given more resources and motes by Myrkul to enhance her protective ability of his person.
Ductu are a rider that wander along in the guise of other creatures. Myrkul dispatches them to understand things which are foreign and not human. She adds her intellect and thereby her goals to the creature and can speak in many languages producing the structures necessary to do so. While becoming a greater whole Ductu nonetheless can pull the strings of the bonded creature's goals or choose to follow them. While she has a distaste for bonding with sapient creatures she abjectly refuses to subvert the will of humans unless they are a willing participant. She is likely to undo hostile psychic efforts against the host creature to effect escape. Weaving into the creature's body it becomes larger and more hardy and in the night or shadow one can see the faint crimson crown of Ductu's mental defenses above the creature's head.
