Casey Ratchett walked into the bar. He scanned over the room, he'd heard of this place, but he'd never been until now. He walked towards the center of the room, sitting at the bar. He wore a argyle sweater and jeans, a plain black coat over it. He ran his fingers through his hair, eyes wnadering about the bar.

Casey Ratchett walked onto the grouns of The Ruins, he'd been wandering about Wing City aimlessly for a few days now, and just happened to end up here. He glanced around, not really looking for anything. He did, however, see Emura , which startled him somewhat. Although he was beginning to get used to the non-human beings that inhabited the area.

Casey had been sitting in a corner of Gambit's, his new yo-yo moving up and down steadily. Re-living his childhood was surprisingly amusing, and it seemed rather satisfactory once he managed to master a new toy. He sat back in his seat, crossing one leg over the other, observing the people around him with a bright smile on his face, he wondered what was next in line of new gadgets, and who he could snag it off of.

He fixed his jacket, considering possible tactics of getting a hold on something more fun. He hadn't meant to really take the saying to heart, but he was indeed stealing candy from babies. If there was a toy store, he'd gladly go buy something for himself, but seeing that he hadn't found one, buying toys from children was his best plan of action.

Casey blinked at her, not totally sure how he just got in the position of underdog, so far not so good."Uhh, not likely, I don't suspect I do." His accent was a rather deep one, soft but deep, strong. He rather liked that about himself, gave him a sense of authority and mystery.

"D'you make it a habit, to lurk about all jumpy, so often?" He questioned her, his brow returning to its general relaxed state. He pushed out of his booth, walking towards the bar, his stride rather slow and weighty.

Demi sluggishly moved down the stairs of the bar, wiping her eyes tiredly. She was in pajamas, still, legging-like pants and a decently frilled top that could've gone as a gown. She yawned, stretching her little finger above her head, just like her mom had shown her to do every morning, she stood there at the bottom of the stairs, swaying lightly as if she were suddenly dizzy. In all reality she was just watching, not much else a little one could do.

Demi stared at Rafe mostly entranced by his cat-like appearance, it looked familiar. She noticed the doll bed, in his hands, tilting her head at it. Boys did not play with dolls. Especially not big tall boys. She walked over to him quietly, a certain sprite in her step, her sandals smacking against the floor rather loudly. She tugged, typically, on whatever clothing he had on that could tug.

Casey raised a brow at the girl, that was a quick-witted response, as far as his standards went for other people. "I suspect, I'll be out there sooner or later." He sat in the seat behind her, leaning back against the bar, "I say, you look pretty discombobulated, Miss... Even if I did just sorta, appear." He made a mockery of the spirit fingers, drawing out his last word eerily.

Demi tilted her head, this was confusing. Why would a big tall boy being playing with dolls? Big people were so... weird. She just tilted her head back, overly far, staring at him.

"You play with dolls?" She rubbed her nose on her arm, staring up like this was rather uncomfortable.

Demi went wide-eyed, then squinted, staring at the little girl. "Oh," she said lightly, rubbing her eyes again, "I could take care of her. I take care of my dolls." She was being honest now, she did take care of them, they were her only child-like friends, after all. "Except for one, she, uh, she got broked. Mean girls took her." She forwned, looking down at her hands, which were fumbling nervously over each other, she didn't want to break the little girl, she wouldn't break the little girl. But big people were so serious. "I can keep her safe."

Casey smirked, letting an airy laugh escape his mouth, "Can't say I have the discomfort, of uh, not having a home." He stood up again, getting rather antsy himself, something was off about her. "Just, uh, nomad, of sorts. Yeah? I like the, simple life."

Demi watched Rafe leave, staring back down at the little bed. She held it in bother hands and methodically started walking back towards the fireplace. She took very, slow, careful, steps, not wanting to drop or shake the little girl.

Demi giggled, watching the little girl, she put the bed down in front of her, sort of curling around it as she laid on her side, keeping anyone from accidentally smushing it. She just stared at it quietly, thinking about all the wondrous adventures she could have with such a neat little friend.

Casey felt a pang of something, deep down inside his rather cynical user heart, he didn't recognize that pang, but he attempted to ignore it. "I find beds, depressing. Many things happen, with beds." He said, a blank expression on his face, he had no idea why he'd just said that, out loud. "Sounds like jumping in front of a bus, on a rainy day, would be your sort of preferred death." He was going to shake her hand, but drew his back as she did. "Casey, pleasure to meet you."

Demi went wide-eyed, yet again, staring at the little figure in the bed. She inhaled, a sound resembling "whoooa" being heard. She propped her head in her hands and stared intensely at the little girl, "Hi..." She didn't have much else to say, and she didn't want to scare her. She thought of herself as a mommy now, but a small person mommy, not a big person mommy like her own.

"Uhm....." What did tiny people do? She was a small person, maybe tiny people were like small people only, smaller. Maybe she liked games. Or. Tea parties. But Demi didn't even like tea parties. She sighed, thinking was so tiresome. She looked down steadily at the girl, "I'm Demi. Who are you?"

Demi smiled, poking out one of her fingers. "Its a, a, pleasure to meet your, aqua, aqua, tenance." She said, a strained look on her face, she wasn't sure if she'd said that right. "I'm gonna take care of you, the cat boy told me to."

Demi jumped slightly, thinking she'd hurt her, she panicked as any child would. "Oh, no. What'd do? Did I push you? I didn't mean to! I'm so sorry, are you okay? I promise I won't do that anymore, I didn't know it would hurt."

Demi sighed, standing, picking up the little bed. She walked over to the counter and set her down, peering over it to make sure she hadn't fallen out. "You stay here, and I'll, I'll go get my mom. And maybe later she'll be able to fix you. She fixes people."

She wasn't happy, but she didn't cheat people out of their fairly earned money, unless it wasn't fairly earned. She pushed him a crumpled five dollar bill and looked him over. “I don't gamble, like that. I make bets on random things that I think would be beneficial to me. Like, I bet that guy is going to order a hamburger, sans buns, a milkshake, fries and possibly a soda.” She grinned and put another five dollars on the table, “Ten bucks says so.”

"Just because you are alone tonight..." Casey murmured, climbing down the steps of Gambit's and walking into the bar. He was almost oblivious to those around him, half-singing, and half-humming, one of his new favorite songs. It had been stuck in his head for the last couple of days, and he had grown to like it. No matter how immoral it sounded.

He moved himself onto a barstool, ordering a stein of amber ale, along with a nice meaty omelet. He hadn't eaten this well in quite a while, but his new found career was helping him pay his way through his stay in Wing City. He leaned against the counter, tapping his fingers to the rhythm of the music in his head.

"Halloo," Casey said, noticing the woman who had taken the seat beside him. "Good morning." He smiled at her, nodding along with his greeting. Turning his attention back to the smell of the food, wafting from the kitchen doors. No doubt that was his omlet, frying along with the saucy goodness of the meat searing inside of it. His mouth was watering just from the thought of it.

He glanced at the woman again, he could strike up a conversation with her. Or offer her something to eat, maybe. Seemed the most respectable thing to do. "Are you, hungry, by any chance?"

Casey smiled, "What's your... poison, as they say?" He doubted she'd drink a beer, being so early in the morning. He was actually having second thoughts about having one himself. He let his finger hover the electronic screen in front of him, waiting for her response.

He quirked his brow at the passing of the note, glancing at the man who had left it before punching in her order for a soda. He went with a clear one, since not everyone liked darker ones. He cleared his throat and began humming that song again, a little bored for the moment.

"I don't wanna be your superman..." It was so addicting, that song was, toxic even. And it was just wrapped around his brain like a boa. Why had they played it so much, that day? His modeling wasn't anything of that nature, so the lyrics meant nothing in that regard. But they made sure when he was to be photographed, that the song was turned on, loud. His bosses were a little strange, weren't they?

"Mida? Yes, singing. Its uh, something by a Bjorn, fellow." He smile dback at her before turning towards the kitchen yet again, watching the server bot coming out with his yummy omelet. It also had her soda, and his stein of beer. He wiggled his fingers in anticipation of digging into that, meat-filled wonder. He set her soda down in front of her, pouring half of it into a glass, and leaving the can with her.

"Aitäh Jumalale see toit, õnnista seda, Aamen." He said his short prayer, cutting into the omelet and taking a nice big chunk of it into his mouth. "Mmgh, the food here is very good."

"Daessee, that's a pretty name." Fit the girl, he could say. He liked the more down-to-earth women, being around the more high-in-life ones all day sort of changed his preferences from earlier in his life. "I'm Casey."

He looked at his watch and took a swig of his beer, savoring the taste before chowing down on his omelet. He'd be late for work if he wasn't done within the next fifteen minutes. Couldn't have that.

"Work, get busy a lot. Been a while since I've had time, to uh, hang out." He finished his beer, wiping his mouth of with a napkin. He'd eaten just about the entire omelet, leaving a measly corner of it on the plate. He was too full to finish though, and time was of the essence.

He wiped his hands and mouth again, standing from his stool, leaving his cash on the servings side of the bar, for the NPC tender to pick up. Quite a good meal that was. He looked at Daessee again, smiling, "But uh, speaking of work. That's where I've gotta be off to. Nice meeting you."

With that he took her hand and shook it, leaving one of his cards in her hand. Always nice to make a new friend. He headed out of the door, leading out onto Main Street.
