A set of heavy footfalls could be heard nearby as a local neared, only to reach the end and peer down into the alley way. He saw all he needed to. A guy. A girl. A suspicious location. It was enough to make his footsteps stop and his head to turn. Which showed off just how big the guy was. Easily six two with broad shoulders and a heavy upper half like a body builder. Except it was completely mismatched by the clothes he wore, a large purple jacket that buttoned low on his chest to show off a large 'v' shape, where underneath there was a fine black vest, and under that a white shirt. He wore similarly purple pants and Italian shoes. It gave off the impression of a self-obsessed rich guy, with blond hair gelled back in neat lines, more worried about his appearance than his personality.

"Hey," he called, a loud booming voice sent tumbling down the alley towards the pair, "What's going on down here?" A lone hand was raised to point to the two. From the looks, he was the sort not to start trouble, but didn't mind looking for it, and probably used to using his much larger size to resolve disputes.

A flat palm slapped against the wall as he waited to see the man leave, but also to cut off Whisper's path. "Hey," he grunted, "Have we met before?" His gaze turned downwards towards her, eyes narrowing as if examining her features and trying to just figure out where he might have seen her face. The cogs could be seen working in his mind and his head tilted to give a loud resounding crack of stiff bones.

From the tone of his voice it sounded like people he had met before weren't the sort he particularly liked.

The dull look in Charles eyes suddenly sharpened with realization, head snapping to attention as his hand left the wall and moved for her shoulder. "You're coming with me," he answered sternly, "To the local law enforcement." Terrorist. He knew what she was. He just couldn't remember the specifics of what she had done. But he was certain it was her. Hopefully this matter could be resolved with no trouble though.

Hopefully.

"Not a chance," he said, eyes now dropping to her hands. He was worried she'd pull a piece on him, and that'd suck. Especially after he followed his hunch so well. He gave a rough tug of her shoulder from the alley out into the open, figuring she didn't seem too strong so he could probably just push her to the station. Keep her at arms length. "We're headed to the cops."

Well this was getting downright unfriendly. A guy in the alley with a gun. A terrorist able to move through Charles' hands. And now some weirdo in a suit. "Hey," he stated loudly, "I'm going to take in a known and wanted criminal. If you want trouble, you've come to the right place, because I have a two hundred pounds of trouble right here." And with that, he smacked his chest with one fist.

"Now you," he said pointing for Whisper, and ultimately ignoring Whisper's warnings, "Are coming with me." He gestured back to his chest with a thumb.

"Couldn't agree with you more," Charles muttered at the flesh comment, muscle flexing slightly as he took a step towards Whisper. "Hey!" he barked, "You better be listening. We're going now!" He seemed to be ignoring the helicopters as she in turn ignored him. He figured whatever it was couldn't be that important, right? This was an intergalactic terrorist. Top priority. He also seemed to not realize what he was quite dealing with with Aiyanna. Figured it was just a person in a suit. A little eccentric. Oh the irony.

Charles had been holding back for a while now. But he was far from done here. He reached once more for Whisper's arm, seeking to grasp it tightly and squeeze down so it might bruise a little. Give her the impression he meant business. "Hey," he said, "Mind if I interject?" His head turned from Whisper to Aiyanna, body tensed for what he felt was about to break out.

Had Charles been anything less than superhuman he probably would have been dead at this time, the blow from the punch taken on a puffed out chest, then his body lurching back and slamming into the alley corner. He doubled over, a choking noise escaping his throat. Heavily winded and maybe with some cracked ribs, he seemed to be struggling for breath. But he still rose up to his feet, wheezing slightly as he forced his back upright. "D-dang," he spoke airily, "If tha's-- all you got--- Yo gonna regret that."

He should have figured they'd be packing powers. Made sense now that he thought about it. But no time to back down now. He still had his trump card. He took a menacing step forward, gaining lost ground on his path towards Aiyanna. One problem at a time, he decided.

As the spear appeared, Charles would eye it cautiously, until a beam was fired from it and he leapt backwards. Like hell he was just going to stand there while some crazy science was shot at his feet. It would keep him safely away from the quicksand.

Charles hesitated, raising his head to listen for a moment, then grunted irritably. "Today you get lucky," he said, "But don't think this is running away. Some day soon some one will take you down. And if I have my way, that will be me!" He gestured to his chest once more, which he puffed out again, before he headed back down the alley as his path would be cut off by the ground being warped and melted.

Charles 'Crunch' MacMillan was just out and about exploring the local environment of Wing City, really. He wore a purple jacket buttoned down low so that it formed a 'V' shape, which showed off his black vest and white shirt. His pants were black and he had Italian leather shoes. All of this was overshadowed by the fact he towered over everyone. At six four with broad shoulders he was a titan of man, muscular and dangerous looking. He clearly took a lot of care to his image, though, hair swept back with gel and a small smile on his face.

And all he could think was; 'What a nice little bar this is. Real old fashioned and thematic.' He loved it.

Charles was surprised by the sudden yelling of a child, which he was quick to dismiss as just, well, a child being attention grabbing. With a distasteful sniff he marched on towards the counter, determined to ignore the girl with all his might. He settled in on a bar stool and ordered a plain old beer, looking to see what brew this place had.

Charles irritation could be seen on his face as an eyebrow raised and he turned his head slowly towards the girl, a stare like granite aimed at her, before he turned his head back forwards. You could practically here the bones around his neck and jaw grinding together. He picked up his beer and took a big long draught from it, before letting out a large audible sigh. What kind of bar let children come in unattended?

Charles drank another large mouthful from his beer, then settled the mug down on the counter. "Shouldn't a girl like you be in school?" he practically boomed in his best speaking voice, before turning his head sharply and dramatically towards her. His stare locked onto her and he waited, practically demanding an answer with his silence.

Charles now turned his body fully to stare at the girl. "Where are your parents, kid?" he demanded, rising to stand and fold his arms in front of his massive chest. He was definitely top heavy, like a body builder. "You shouldn't be in a place like this without supervision."

"Well, that's too bad," he said, "But a girl like you needs proper supervision and a home. You should be in an orphanage." His stare softened to just being firm. "Now you wait there while I call the cops to come pick you up." He chose to ignore any of her comments about exploding things. Probably just a kid playing pretend or something.

Probably just a toy. He couldn't think of a way that a kid, who didn't seem to have a family or someone to care for them, could possibly acquire a real grenade launcher. He reached into his pocket for his mobile phone and called the cops. "Yes, I would like to report a child at the Tauvyr Tavern who says she has no parents. Could you come pick her up and put her through the appropriate placement?"

He seemed to dismiss her now that he had adult matters to attend to.

"So long as you keep out of trouble," he grunted, clapping his phone shut. "They're on their way. At least now you'll have a roof over your head and consistent meals. I'll pay for your drink, too. And who knows, maybe you'll end up finding a home that suits you." And that was his good deed for the day. One phone call. No trouble. The cops would be along shortly to sort it all out and he could call it a day.

"How do you know about police if there aren't any police on Pandora?" He figured (once again) that Pandora was just some place she invented to amuse herself. He'd come across a lot of crazy kids in his time. He figured humouring her couldn't hurt for the time being, if only to keep her distracted from causing more trouble until the cops arrived.

"That's only the best way to run things until someone has a bigger gun than you. And living in fear of being killed in your sleep is no way to live," he said, a little louder than normal speaking tone. Maybe it was just the normal level of his voice. "The law exists to keep people safe. The police are just trying to protect others."

"The parents that told you about cops before you came here?" he said, as the cops pulled up out the front of the bar in their squad car. "Alright, looks like they're here. Time to get going kid. Keep your head out of trouble, alright?" He pointed in the direction of the two men that approached in uniform.

"Hey," he said, stooping low to pick up the dynamite and pick it up. He stared at it for a moment, then rapped it against his knuckle. "Cool. Kid, catch your toy." He tossed the dynamite towards the girl, who the two worried-looking cops were about to escort to the squad car.

A hand jerked out, trying to smack the flaming spike from the air to the ground, though the man behind the mitt wasn't hopeful. He was tall, herculean really, at six foot four with broad shoulders and a top heavy build like a body builder. He was a titan of man, and he looked unhappy at the violence that suddenly broke out. Down right miffed. Actually he was pretty scared, but he was putting on a tough face. This was like something he had never seen before.

Charles 'Crunch' MacMillan stood firm where others retreated, puffing out his purple jacket-clad chest and facing the appearing Wolf. "Hey, you!" he shouted, raising a hand and pointing, "Are you the one responsible for this?" He remained painfully aware of the carnage breaking out around him.

Charles' pride was greater than his fear by far. His hand raised to point once more as he struck a firm pose with one foot forward. "I accept your challenge!" he called out in a booming voice, "And I will rise triumphant from this fight!" And with that he marched forward. Just a normal muscular dude about to try and punch it up with a demon wolf monster. Totally normal. No tricks up his sleeve whatsoever.
