Space crackled and shuddered over itself, convulsing and halting in nothingness as it buckled and warped. The baleful, empty light of the distant stars twisted in dancing helix's as green shards of light and energy and time wrapped themselves out of nonexistence. Were there sound there would be the noise of a thousand nails tearing gently across half broken glass as reality tore itself apart in misaligned birthing. The open space shattered as it birthed a small green blob from itself, arcing lights casting from it's maddening surface, blinding all who looked too deeply and too long.

Just as sudden as this orb of energy and light had been birthed into the galaxy it too shattered, sending a cascade of nothingness into the void as it burst to reveal a small orb made of a dark metal. There were no distinguishing features upon the smooth surface, no markings to distinguish its nation of origin, no name printed upon the side, no view port to let whatever it contained to look out into the timeless void. All there was was a strong power field being emanated from the orb as a sheen of dim green light enveloped it. But for all else it was silent and timeless.

And yet not immune to that simplest of forces. Gravity did not waste time on the immobile object. Holding for just a moment in the space where it had been born into the world the orb began to fall towards this unknown planet, slowly at first before rather rapidly picking up speed. Such was the growing speed of this alien device that it only just managed to skim across the length of one of the holding spacecraft, barrelling past the landing craft as they were disgorged from somewhere within its depths and hurtled on ever onwards towards the distant world.

The alien orb rocketed through the atmosphere, burning with a halo of white fire as it arced across the open sky, friction igniting hellfire on its black metal sides. And still the orb showed no signs of slowing as it threw itself ever closer and closer to the ground, even a the fire and heat gave way to a sonic boom that shattered around behind the strange visitor it didn't slow as it got ever closer and closer and closer...

Until it suddenly halted dead, the boom followed shortly after giving a thunderclap that shattered across the hills and valleys, flattening the grass to the ground and swaying the trees in it's passing. The orb had halted and now floated just ten feet above the ground and remained as enigmatic as ever, silent and unmoving. Except now for the small hatch that slid open from it's underside and from within this opening dropped a solitary figure, an arm mounted weapon sweeping in every direction as it slowly floated down to the surface. The visitor had arrived, though for what purpose was not entirely clear.

On the planet below deep under the lost ruins stirred an ancient power another tomb world came to life answering the overlord's call the scarabs turned from thier maintaining to Awakening and soon things started to power up the scarabs and spyders working to get the defense online and wake the first of the raiding parties. A single shroud cruiser sent from Kauvuri hovers above as the eyes of the overlord.

The flagship was abuzz with activity at the emergence of not only the sphere object from nowhere but now the Necron ship that had just appeared out of nowhere as well. Adsiltia remained composed as her fleets began to report in what they were seeing on their Auspexes. She tapped her fingers together as she thought before she spoke up.

"Helm, keep an eye on that Necron ship. If something comes from it, I want to know about it post haste. Open a line of communication with the ship and put out a general message. See if they reply. Captain, raise the Skittarii and tell them to split their forces. Half go to that sphere, the other goes to the ruins. I want constant situation reports and status updates alerting me to their progress. Be prepared to pull them out with the Teleporterum if needs be"

The helm began to do it's work as down below they got the call. 2500 Skittarii went off towards the sphere's crash site while the other began to drop into the ruins and began to scout and search through it. It would take some time but they might find something there.

At the sphere, the Skittarii landed several hundred meters away and held up Plasma Cavaliers, advanced plasma weaponry more efficient then regular plasma rifles and Meltaguns. These guns, only numbering in the dozens were able to superheat the air at a molecular level causing instant disintegration. As they approached, one such Skittarii lowered his rifle and moved ahead of his men. He didnt have his weapons drawn and looked to have more decorations on his armor to signify his rank.

He regarded the figure, noting the armament he carried and ahemmed, speaking in low gothic at first

"Greetings. I am Captain Sidalphios of the Innovation's Result. I have been instructed by my commander to investigate the crash of the orb from the sky. BY chance are you the sole occupant? We do come in peace...the men just have a perimeter set up just incase. This is a first contact scenario after all"

Overhead, several Thunderhawk ships hovers in a circular formation with their weapons pointed at the creature, ready to shoot if he decided that he was going to be hostile. No one shot but they were ready should the worst occur.

Captain Sidalphios held out a hand to shake, a sign of friendship.

Roughly a million kilometers from the Innovation's result, and the alien ship, a single construct appeared out of nothingness, distorting the space around it, a massive diamond shaped ship, 800 kilometers across slowly moved into position.

Upon scanning the vessel, one would find that the scans were unable to penetrate the hull, and that there were no minds to corrupt, or rather, the few minds aboard this alien ship had already been enslaved.

Like writhing tentacles, millions of Sentinels moved about this massive diamond, but they did not make any motion of attacking.

"Seized by God, they cry for succour in the dark of the light. Mists of dreams dribble on the nascent echo and love no more."

Gibberish in the eyes of someone who didn't know, phrases beyond human comprehension as a pool of calx noctis rippled and buckled, crackling as the mind's essence took control, the form solidifying into a female framed by short hair, and vivid red eyes.

She looked to her hands for the briefest of moments, as crystalline plates interlocked over her naked form.

"Then shall the maidens rejoice at the dance."

She looked up, at nothingness, though in reality information was coursing through her mind, scans of the planet, artifacts, power sources, even the Necron vessel stirring to life.

She licked her lips, as more interlocking crystalline plates moved across her skin.

"It is here, and the Iron casket closes upon the light once more, the crystal is here, and I shall rise again..."

The lone figure, armoured in the same enigmatic unknowable black metal armour, touched down onto the ground with a gentle thump as feet alighted with the soil. There was the barest disturbance of dust as their metallic feet finally made landfall, only the tiniest of evidence of their presence before they stepped forwards, now kicking up more dust under their feet as the long undisturbed planet finally felt life once more.

They kept their weapon raised as their head slowly scanned from one direction to the next, their arm tracking the slow movements of their visor as it swept across the terrain. There was no glow or sign of readying discharge from the barrel of the strange weapon as it silently moved, though true there was also no clear way from the observer of how it even loaded, fired or was at all operated. The dim red glow of the alien visor acted as though it were a lighthouse in the void as it gently moved in one direction and then the next, seemingly taking in all of the open ground around them.

They sensed rather than heard the approaching aliens. Even before their sensors detected the change in atmospheric pressure they could feel their coming. There was a hint of untapped potential there, but it was muted, watered down and utterly redundant. Whatever these aliens were they were enough of interest to cause the outsider to halt and look upwards towards the sky. Highly tuned sensors swept the open air on countless spectrums and picked up the incoming vessels. Even from this extreme distance they could begin to analyse them in fine detail. These alien craft were small and shockingly primitive. They seemed to be expelling a great deal of heat and were giving off great signs of electricity, not to mention each of them carried a significant number of lifeforms of both biological and mechanical in nature. These aliens seemed to be either highly devolved or highly flawed in their technology, though to be certain would mean simply waiting for them to be present before them in order to conduct a proper scan of them.

So, they waited. There was nothing of any other interest in the immediate vicinity after all, so they lowered their weapon arm and waited. They thankfully did not have to wait long, for though these alien craft were primitive they were fast, certainly fast enough to make landfall and have their occupants approach in good speed. As they approached the outsider was given a better chance to scan them in person. It did not fill them with any great hope, these individuals seemed to be a mismatch of cybernetics and organic material, an amalgamation of flesh and machine that sadly did little to truly compliment each others function, rather it seemed that- judging by the fact some individuals had some internal organs removed whilst others did not judging by x-ray bursts- these individuals had decided to simply replace vital parts with primitive bio-mechanics. These seemed to serve no greater function that their already existing organic matter, judging by the fact that they did not act differently in accordance to their mechanical differences, which made the outsider wonder just what the point of such an operation was. If these creatures were willing to go to the difficulty of replacing their body parts with mechanical, why then would they not improve themselves instead of stunt their own growth needlessly?

The answer could wait however as it seemed one of these aliens were starting to approach them. They took a quick moment to scan across the other gathered aliens, noting the primitive weapons pointed at them not to mention the less than subtle alien landing craft hovering above. In response to their hostility a dim green sheen arced across the visitors armour, coating them in a deceptive light as they kept their own arm down. These aliens would no doubt make the first move, they were primitive creatures who seemed to move in primitive spheres, to act overtly in control of the situation would doubtless provoke them into rash action. Focusing their attention back onto the lone figure they couldn't help but note the obvious size difference between them. This alien was just shy of three feet shorter and near twice as thin as them and seemed entirely frail to behold, even with their bio-mechanical additions. It could be theorised then that such creatures simply needed to replace their organic matter with mechanical processes simply to survive as a race.

This alien seemed to also be making peculiar noises at them, there was a rhythm and a pattern to their noises that might well have meant they were trying to communicate to them, though in an entirely debased and unevolved way. This certainly did not fill them with any great confidence of the creatures, though they were numerous they seemed to have pitifully debased technology that was eons behind anything they had ever encountered and on top of that they seemed to communicate like base animals devoid of higher thought, though clearly they were at least capable of it. They watched silently, unmoving as the creature extended an arm towards them.

There was a heavy pause as they did not move closer to the creature nor react at all, they were too busy trying to figure out just what their purpose was. These aliens certainly did not seem in control of this planet nor were they local to it otherwise they would come the horizon and not the sky... Eventually curiosity beat out the desire to puzzle this out themselves and they stepped closer to the small alien, the weapon upon their arm retracting to allow their left hand freedom of movement. Their right hand reached out and enveloped the thin and frail forearm of the creature, such was the size difference that they were all but entirely enveloped with in the grasp. Their left hand however shot out and perhaps less gently than could be grasped ahold of the creatures head, fingers digging into the top of the aliens skull.

The red light of the visor changed a sudden, warping and wobbling green as there was a short flash of light and energy and then a form a psyonic probe jumped between the two figures. It was however something entirely alien and beyond that of normal psychics, something from a realm where such things were as simple and unnoticed as the beating of ones heart. This probing of mind and strength reached into the mind of the alien, forcing itself in like a parasite through the skin. What it found did not fill it with joy.

It noted as it passed that it was causing pain to the creature, though it was attempting to minimise such a thing, this creature was not able to not feel the pain. For some unknown reason this creature did not possess the higher mental functions to be able to project their will, though it seemed there was something in their genetic code that could have allowed such a formation of data to allow incredibly potential. Casting through this creatures thoughts and memories was a painfully simple process, he did not seem to think in advanced patterns and even those processes replaced by cybernetics were indeed primitive. Their language was one that seemed to have stagnated and devolved from something else, their thoughts were base and dull and lacked the spark of higher potential. These creatures... Humans... Were stunted, detached from something that could have been the next step in their evolution and not to mention there was an odd... Tie, a link to something primitive and vast and utterly beyond these beings that lurked into a realm that seemed all too familiar and yet foreign. They dug through this aliens memories, this 'Captain Sidalphios' and saw a vast realm that stretched from galactic edge to galactic edge. They saw a realm that was devolved and debased, a realm that had been corrupted, they saw this Sidalphios' memories and opinions of their realm, the twisted creatures devotion to the ideas of machine and metal and saw their burning hatred of all things not... Human. The thoughts and ideals of a nation of fools, these beings should not have survived if this was all they were. It seemed this Sidalphios must be something of an outsider, for surely all of Human kind could not be so ill attuned to the whims of the universe.

They retracted from the mind of the creature, though they still attempted to remain as gentle as possible they were aware that to a creature so unattuned to the projections of will and lacking in potential that it would feel as though they were drawing knives across their brain. They released the Captain suddenly, taking a step back as the probe returned to their body, the lights of their armour shifting from green back to a simple steady red.

"Your thoughts are simple and primitive, Captain Sidalphios." The voice came emanating out from somewhere within the armour, speaking now in the Low Gothic that they had taken an understanding of from the Humans brain. "You are unable to understand my name or the name of my kind, but in your language the closest approximation of my name would be Chaubrartedduxumnaehinaghyleolnua, "The one who watches from the void and see's all that passes."" The alien visitor raised their head from where they had been looking down at the Captain to gaze across their men. "I would advise commanding you... Skittari? To stand down. It would be less than desirable to be required to dismantle their offensive capabilities prior to being able to study your kind further."

The planet was getting too busy. The Necron Shroud Cruiser's systems became alert it's guns and shields powering up. The ship didn't move but it was clear it was ready to defend itself should anything come too close. It's defensive stance definitely begged the question... What was the ship defending?

On the ground the scarabs and spyders worked quickly sensing a threat coming. They wanted to make sure a defense was ready should the ones in the ruins above prove hostile. To examine the threat two phase cloaked wraiths entered the ruins above.

The two wraiths would watch from the shadows monitoring the actions of the Skittari and report back to the tomb and the ship above.

Up above, the situation was just getting worse and worse as they were very closely monitoring the Necron ship. This did NOT sit well with Adsiltia but she would move her fleet to protect the main Ark Ship. Her two cruisers and smaller craft moved themselves to form a coned arc to cover the area before them with broadsides should the Necron shift it's stance from defensive to aggressive. Adsiltia also gave the order for her ships to raise their void shields. Something was not right...and if she had a stomach, it would be churning right about now.

"Ma'am thorough scan detected a massive power source coming from down below in the Ruins of the city. Its readings are off the charts"

Adsiltia flicked her screen up in her throne and looked at the readings while she opened up communication with the Skittarii team down below.

"Captain Medistoph, proceed to the center of the ruins. Some sort of temple. Acquire the power source and get back up into orbit. We have some bad problems up here with a Necron ship and some sort of crystalline ship. We need to bug out"

Adsiltia then opened her communications channel to her Teleporterum and spoke to them. She ordered them to engage the Teleporterum the minute the Skittarii report that they have the item in hand. All the while speaking in technalingua to the Skittarii.

The Skittarii in the ruins redoubled their efforts and soon found themselves above the Temple. The teams had their orders but didn't have enough time to properly study the Temple. A team of 60 went into the Temple while the rest headed to take up a defensive action awaiting the return of the team down below. Within the Temple, they found it to be barren and empty with a single shard of some sort of crystal sitting on an altar. The team soon moved towards it and one pulled out an Auspex to verify it was the source of the power.

"Ma'am: target secured"

There was nothing within the Temple as of yet. This place was very much quiet.

In the fields, the Captain was having his own experiences. There was more confusion going on in his mind but he knew the alien was searching for something. A few shots fired out from the floating ships past the alien's ear but the captain's hand was immediately raised to order a cease fire. When the creature 'spoke', the captain was slightly surprised. It was then his radio was going nuts with the talk of the Necrons and the Crystal in orbit.

"That is precisely why we are here. We are seeking new sources of knowledge and technology to help better our fellow man. If you wish to study us, then we may certain work together in this matter. My Magos, Adsiltia is aboard the flagship of our small fleet and wishes to meet you in person. Can your ship reach orbit?"

He asked, looking back to the Orb in question then back to the alien whose race he wouldn't even begin to try and speak.

"If so, we can escort you to the Innovation's Result and see to your accommodations while on board"

There was a visible stirring from within the giant diamond vessel the moment the Captain approached the crystal, a sudden massive ramp-up of power that seemed to be almost instantaneous, a ramp up that would shine on energy scanners like a blazing star, and the sentinels became writhing mad, angrily swarming about the vessel, and then moving towards the planet in long writhing black and red tentacles.

A brilliant discharge, and a searing beam of green light came next, but it wasn't aimed at the Innovation's Result, or any of it's ships, but rather the planet.

It was targeted precisely at the temple.

Upon impact everything within the immediate vicinity would likely be vaporized in an instant, except for the lone crystal shard, which was indestructible via mortal means, but everything around it would likely not have the same advantage. The impact of the beam was nothing short of massive, and if successful would shake the planet to it's very foundation, cratering an expanse the size of a continent, and causing a shockwave to expand outwards in every direction.

Immediately following the discharge of the diamond's weapon, it began to move, a graviton field covering over it's superstructure like flowing water, ebbing and flowing with an inky blackness with a few shimmering bouts of green. The assimilator was slowly moving towards where it had fired upon the planet.

Increasing in intensity and disturbance, the graviton field's extended outwards in every direction, the localized gravitic disturbance made any form of FTL near this strange ship treacherous, ships that tried to transition into subspace, hyperspace, or the warp risked being crushed and swept away by the graviton eddies that began to plague the star system, the orbit of entire planets began to shift, and another surge of energy was built up within the ship.

It began to simultaneously target every ship in the vicinity, and while targeting systems were coming about, a deep and thorough scan was pulsed outwards, scanning and analyzing the vessels metallurgy, shields, and the lifeforms on board.

Immediately following, a voice rang across the communications systems of every ship in the sector, it was a flat, but harmonious voice of many beings speaking at once.

"We are Zero-One... Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own; your culture will adapt to service us..."

"Resistance is futile."

"That is precisely why we are here. We are seeking new sources of knowledge and technology to help better our fellow man. If you wish to study us, then we may certain work together in this matter. My Magos, Adsiltia is aboard the flagship of our small fleet and wishes to meet you in person. Can your ship reach orbit?" The outsider looked down at the small alien, rather perplexed by the thought processes of this creature. They could pick up the radio transmissions, they weren't even remotely well encoded to prevent anyone from truly listening in on them. It seemed rather that rather than moving to attempt to combat the obvious threat these creatures were in a sense of disconnect and confusion, it was a strange thing to see so many being so disconnected from each other and thrust into deep loneliness by virtue of their unevolved nature.

"My craft is entirely space worthy, though it is beyond the capabilities of your craft to follow. Inform your Magos that I shall be at your flagship momentarily." There was a pause, barely registerable before the outsiders head snapped over to the horizon. There was a mass of supercharged particles being cast into the air, something was also causing a massive spike in energy somewhere in the distance. Tapping into the orbs sensors the outsider pushed their sensors to the extreme and both saw and felt the colossal beam of energy that was cascading down into the planet, scoring a bleeding wound against the planets crust. Following the origin path of the beam upwards towards the heavens revealed the source, some form of craft which hung in high orbit was the culprit. Initial scans would indicate it possessed at least some form of high intensity weaponry, no doubt lower band sensors would be unable to detect them before they began to power up but now they each blazed like a bonfire in the open void. The size of the craft too was notable though nothing exceptional, possibly some form of large battleship or small mobile battlestation, certainly a major danger to one lone craft but most likely the lack of mobility would hinder it significantly. That was even if its weaponry could prove to be anything of a threat to their craft.

The outsider turned their attention back to the Captain on the ground, these aliens were disconnected indeed to not have already reacted to the vessel that had just blindly attacked the planet they were on with no real goal in mind. "It would be imperative to return to your fleet Captain. I would imagine the fleet is preparing to depart with or without you upon it." Turning on their heel to walk back to the orb the green sheen that covered their armour turned a deep shade of blue that grew in colour and intensity as almost impossibly the outsider seemed to turn into blue dust which blew away and vanished into nothingness.

The orb certainly didn't wait around for questions to be asked. From where it remained floating ten feet off of the ground it suddenly shot into the open sky, rocketing past the thunderhawks with such speed that it had barely reached one hundred foot before the first sonic boom of its passing crashed loudly into the Skitarii upon the ground. Though it was going fast it certainly didn't show any signs of decelerating as it picked up speed, even in atmosphere it moved with no concern for the great trail of flame it was leaving in its wake as it screamed through the sky, a shooting star ascending to the heavens with a speed that seemed impossible for a craft with no obvious engines. It was no small wonder that a great tail of flame followed the passing of the orb as it left the planets atmosphere, having taken not even a full minute from idle to reach the openness of space.

As they passed once more into the void the orb detected some form of broadband sensor sweep coming from the diamond battlestation, no doubt an attempt to assess to the full combat capabilities of the local ships within the vicinity. They denied this intrusion, no lesser being would take information from them without their consent. In the near impossible scenario where this sweep was somehow able to penetrate their shielding as well as pierce the enigmatic armour of the craft then there were always even more advanced counter-measures. Firstly the orb emitted a burst of data roughly ten yottabytes in size, it would take even the most advanced super computer decades to be able to fully comprehend or even sift through such a vast amount of pointless empty data before they realised that none of it possessed anything even remotely useful within it. If this mass data chaff did not work the orb also projected a wave of psyonic energy that was utterly alien to anything that seemed to be native to the galaxy. This burst of energy would burn the thoughts out of any that attempted to probe the craft with their minds, and judging by what little potential the outsider had felt within the brain of the Human this burst would no doubt cause a feedback so vast it would liquefy the synapses with the brains of the small creatures.

The orb for the most part avoided going near the diamond, it had no desire to risk testing the primitives weapons, there was every chance one lucky shot would prove to be something that could damage it. Instead it shifting in space and shot towards the fleet that the outsider had seen in the memory. The ships did not take long to grow from specks into the full craft themselves, taking only another two moments for the orb to get from the point of exit of the planets atmosphere to be now hanging silently and dead still alongside what must be the command deck of the flagship, looming easily within view just a handful of meters away from the view port. These ships were disappointingly small, in the mind of the Human they had seemed vast behemoths that blotted out the stars, but to actually be up close to them showed them for what they were, small especially when put alongside the battlestation in the distance. This fleet could surely only be made up of corvettes and destroyers unless this was indeed the full construction capabilities of these primitives. Only this flagship was even remotely close to being classed as a frigate class.

On the inside of the command deck there would be a small collection of blue embers kicking up as if from nowhere, swirling and shifting over each other in an elegant dance as they coalesced together. These embers grew in ever increasing numbers as they spilled forth from panels and controls, wherever there was electricity these embers spun themselves into existence and threw themselves together to reveal the great and tall form of Chaubrartedduxumnaehinaghyleolnua, being remade just as the had been dissolved. The process of rebuilding seemed to be far quicker than deconstructing as there was an ever growing and steady stream of the small embers of blue particles that flew into one another in their haste to rebuild their body. The blue glow faded back into a soft green sheen that seemed almost impossible to see unless one was looking for it. The red visor of the outsider leaned forwards to look down upon the winged Magos, towering high above her like some form of vengeful god.

"Greetings, Magos Adsilta, we are Chaubrartedduxumnaehinaghyleolnua." The voice emanated from somewhere within the outsiders armour once more. "Your Captain Sidalphios provided me with the capability to communicate with your kind in this fashion, devolved though it is. It would appear that this craft would not be able to combat the battlestation so I suggest that you depart this system immediately. I do not know the combat capabilities of your kind but i have observed your Skitarii and found them insufficient examples of sufficient combat capabilities if the comparison can be carried across to a frigate of this size to combat a battlestation."

Captain Sidalphos stared with both awe and wonder as the ship's first sonic boom ravaged the air as it went to mach one. Such unlimited potential and vast technology! It well exceeded anything that the Mechanicum could have ever produced. It might have even dwarfed that of the Golden Age of Technology! Within the span of a minute, the Skittarii were already heading back, taking the long way around while kicking in the engines to their maximum speed. Though it would be about twenty minutes for them to return into the docks of the Innovation's Result and when they did, Captain Sidolphos would run straight for the Teleporterum to go find the Alien.

Meanwhile on board the Bridge, Adsiltia gave the order for the ships to enter the Warp. Their mission was done but soon saw the Orb float alongside her command bridge. Then the alien appeared right before her, looking down upon her as the sound of many, many weapons were being activated and, she presumed, being ready to fire. But she held up a hand and stood up from her throne to address him. Garbed in her full armor, she removed her helmet to reveal her face such as it was. She, unlike her Skittarii was mostly machine save for a few bits of flesh and organs within her metal body. Her ax tapped the ground twice before her tail reached forward to take hold of it to free her hands.

"Helm once the other ships are in the Warp, take us out"

"Greetings Chaubrartedduxumnaehinaghyleolnua, I am very honored to have one such as yourself in my presence. I am Magos Adsiltia of the forge world Talieed. I am humbled and excited to have you aboard and I have been looking forward to meeting you. I am keenly interested in learning about you and your technology should you wish to share your information with us. I suppose that my Captain has shared with you this knowledge yes?"

While she spoke, the ship began to move, the titanic ship turned from the planet with all due speed and with some ease, the ship entered the Warp, leaving behind a doomed world to the fate of the crystal. That was one monster Sil did not wish to waste man power and ships on.

Once inside the Warp, her Helm set course for home as she had her full attention to the alien before her.

"I would be very much willing to share our technology and knowledge, as limited as it is to yours I'm sure. I believe that we could work together in the spirit of success and friendship towards the furthering of our two peoples in a union of trust. I'm sure that you could still benefit from study of us. Wouldn't you agree?" She asked, holding out a hand to shake his. Her Captain had informed her of the alien's ability to read minds and she was sure that he would do the same again. This form of communication was undoubtedly superior to their form of communication but she wished to extend an olive branch to the Xenos. After all, one must make friends with new and exciting opportunities to further Mankind.

I suppose that my Captain has shared with you this knowledge yes?" The outsider remained silent for a moment, looking down at the Magos. The lacking of any visual representation of a face would mean reading their observations of the creature simply impossible, which was probably for the best. Their sensors reached out, silently caressing with unfeeling tendrils of data and questing feelers that would surely go unregistered, what they found did not fill them with great pleasure but they let those thoughts sit for a moment as they gave their reply.

"I have taken and absorbed the memories and thoughts of your Captain, I am well aware of the mission and purpose of your Mechanicus from the perspective of the Captain." They turned their head finally to look out into the empty void. The orb tracked along with the viewport, seemingly never shifting position as though it were affixed to the glass itself. Wherever this frigate was going to find itself the orb would be able to follow with great ease. They were not under any way under the assumption that this craft held the capacity for being able to move faster than their own craft, the size of the frigate notwithstanding if their landing craft were in the same vein of propulsion then logically the frigate too would be of a similar breed. No, they decided, the orb would have no difficulty following this primitive craft.

They turned their attention back to the Magos when they realised that she was still talking. As her hand extended they finally realised what that feeling they had felt was- Distaste. Looking down at the mechanical limb, reading the sheer lack of real organic matter within this creature they realised that for the first time in their existence they felt a sense of distaste at the idea of these Mechanicum Humans. Their devotion to the ideals of technology and progress was commendable, praisable even, but their desires to meld flesh with machine with no true goal in mind was wasteful and unnecessary. And to compound the matter these additions were hardly improvements to their base matter but rather of some false fervour in the vain hopes of achieving a past that had long since died rather than try to grow the future for those yet to come.

Though they disliked the idea intensely of attempting to draw more information from this creature, this Magos, they knew that their directive was far more important. They would serve as they were bid and their personal feelings on the matter would have to be put aside. As they reached out to grasp the hand of the Magos, now understanding it was a method of greeting rather than an offering of absorption though that too was also their goal, they paused. Their hand halted in the space between them. Something was wrong.

Looking down at their armoured forearm they saw and registered the light green sheen that covered their form was growing and dimming in intensity out of their control. A sense of confusion ran through them as small arcs of energy crackled across their body unrestrained, hissing and crackling as they struck across each other. Their head darted to and fro as they tried to assess the situation, their sensors fluctuating wildly as they tried to also resolve what was going on. Everything was functioning correctly, the fault was not theirs but rather they were being acted upon by an outside force. As they tried to assess just what was affecting them they saw it.

Even if they hadn't been linked the orbs sensors they would have been able to see it eventually. The space around them had changed, now it was filled with energy instead of matter. And there was something very very wrong with this place. Stepping away from the Magos they marched towards the viewports into the strange space, pushing servators out of their path without even registering they were there, more than one they simply knocked over by walking into it and carrying on past. Their sensors reached out, attempting to understand this place as they halted at the far end of the command deck.

This seemed to be a place of compressed energy and space that acted both in and outside of the space that they had just left. It seemed entirely likely that this realm intercepted as well as ran parallel with this new dimension, but that didn't explain what was causing these fluctuations... Unless... They were now in some form of fifth dimensional space. Something was wrong with this dimension though, though true the Will was permeating it it was not the dimension that they knew. Rather than be rich and bountiful it was a torrent that shifted and warped over itself, both less than the realm they knew and more chaotic. This wasn't a rich ocean of Will, it was a roaring river, shallow, lesser and yet infinitely more dangerous and unknowable.

Their left hand raised once more, feeling forth with the Will they channelled forth a flame from their hand. A small ball of blue fire sparked to life a few inches above their open palm. Everything seemed to be operating normally for a moment, their sensors detected no abortion with the Will at first but then it changed, tinges of red and purple began to cascade through the flame as it began to shift in size and heat out of control. They released the ball of blue flame as easily as they had projected it, whatever was wrong with this dimension was affect with their continued with their projection of the Will. And something told them that the Magos was well aware of what it was.

They turned to look sidelong at the Magos, their arm mounted weapon shifting back into a firing position as a precaution. "What has your dimension done to this realm, primitive? How have your kind corrupted the Will?"

The Magos simply watched with curiosity as the alien creature's energy began to change and shift. The flame in his hand changing colors. All the while her servo skull floated around herself while watching and recording this event as it transpired. There was a moment where she could swear there was pain or fear. Clearly this entire thing was new to this alien and it had not experienced the Warp firsthand. Perhaps it wasn't even capable of entering the Warp at all which would lend credence to the alien's ship going so fast. Adsiltia found that very interesting indeed and could even say she was expressing excitement.

However that changed when the alien's arm mounted weapon raised itself up in a manner indicating aggression which gained a response from the crew. All of their weapons were raised. Plasma Cavaliers, Meltaguns, Hell Pistols, Chainswords all raised and were readied just in case their guest was feeling rather hostile. Yet Adsiltia raised nothing but took a few steps towards the Alien and ahemmed.

"We have entered the Warp my friend. This place is a parallel dimension to the Materium realm. This place is where the psykic energy of all living races of the Materium comes to. This is the Immaterium, otherwise known as the Warp. My people call this place home and is one of the safest in the galaxy. I do not know of the Will but it is something I would enjoy learning about. We are quite safe here and I would be happy to answer any of your questions but please rest easy"

Outside, the Gellar field was active and the daemons took to watching the fleet go by as they made their way towards Talieed.

Adsiltia took a few more steps forward and simply placed a hand on the weapon, looking it over on his arm then made a gentle motion to lower it if he so allowed it to be.

"We might be primitive in your eyes, but just because we appear to be so doesn't mean we are entirely without intellect. Be calm and I will tell you all that you want to know. But my crew do not enjoy having their leader being threatened in such a manner. We are working towards a mutual coexistence and beneficial relations. There is no trickery here. Now please lower your weapon and come with me. We can talk in private."

At the sudden readying of weapons being raised against them, the outsider which towered above each and every one of them raised their weapon mounted arm, pointed directly at the Magos. For all they knew this Magos had attempted to lure them into a trap in an attempt to weaken them in their attempts to steal technology. They had seen such thoughts in the mind of the Captain, a reverence and a desire for technology that was not theirs to take. It seemed that was the nature of Humanity if one individual was to be the judge of their species. A race defined by their desire to grow beyond their station.

They watched silently as the Magos approached them, their weapon tracking her movements. If these aliens decided to act with hostility a singular shot would likely cause enough damage to the entire command deck to be enough to pacify them, if not then there were more than enough weapons in their arsenal to defend themselves with. They listened silently as the Magos explained their current situation and where they were. This fifth dimensional space was indeed not comprised of the Will but there was indeed something entirely wrong with it. The chaos of this 'Warp' still remained an issue to them, the lack of any sense and reason as the energy shifted wildly was causing their projections to fluctate with the invisible ebbs of this dimension.

They paused for a moment as the Magos touched their weapon, seemingly unafraid with looking directly into the barrel of it. They did not allow this creature to move their arm, nor did they expect her to even be able to if they tried to move them with force but after a moment they retracted their arm rather than simply lowering it to face the Magos face one.
"Your kind may continue to focus their weaponry upon me if it reassures them, it will make no difference. Your kinds weaponry will not be sufficient to compromise my armour. This dimension may not be of the Will but I remain capable of projecting it, your kind would do well to avoid the heavier regions of destablity within this dimension as it is causing fluctuations with my projections. Lead on Magos, I will observe though I may not have answers to your own questions if they could be used against my kind."
