Description

Image
“My mother and fathers showed me what the best of what life has to offer, the pirates showed me the worst, I want more..”
Name: Domingo Bane Porter
Gender: Male
Species: Humanoid(
Age: Twenty-Nine

Skin colour: Tan, with the odd spot of pale skin(Usually around his hands.)
Scars: A long pale line across his chest, jagged and thick.
Tattoos: A long tribal fireball across his back and left arm and hand, the mark of smith and warrior in his culture.

Main weapon: Longsword “Vengeance”

A fierce weapon, serrated edges and smooth and lightweight at the same time, forged from steel in the deepest of dwarven forges, worked on by a dozen men and dwarves as a weapon worthy of a prince or legendary warrior, it has also been enchanted with the ability to burst into flames, withstand heat and absorb magical attacks, although limited to happening a set amount of times per day.

The bloody history behind the weapon falling into Bane's hands is indeed a story for another time, but it was requested and it was given as a gift.

Secondary weapon: Scimitar “Deception”

A scimitar forged within a normal forge, personal forged for himself by himself, Bane takes great pride in the weapon being almost as ferocious as himself in combat, the hooked tip being able to shred though most leather and even make a suitable impact upon steel armour.

Special skills/traits/magical abilities:

Akimbo blades: The skill required to fight with not one, but two scimitars is deft indeed, which leaves Bane a whirling force of sharp objects.
Master Smith: Due to having a Dwarf father and a Human father at one point in life, he has learned his both race's master talents, able to repair, create and weapons with masterful skill.
Acrobatic: Being from from a tropical island and merchant city, someone like him needs to know his parkour.

Racial background:

There is an archipelago deep in the undiscovered places of the earth, three islands connected by an invisible string of fate. Each island had a totem, now upon each one was a representation of the alliance of the islands, humans, elves, orcs and dwarves.

The humans made the best weapons and armour on the island, rivalling the dwarves and easily advancing over them in the production of melee weapons, the elves made the perfect leather armour and ranged weapons, the orcish warriors were the best of fighters, and the dwarves made good weapons and armour, if only surpassed by the humans.

Then the elves broke the truce, one of their nobles cheating the human's out of their totems, thus the humans got understandably angry, war commenced, the dwarves joined, the orcs joined out of pure bloodlust, the war determined who was left, the only death of a race was the elves, and then the islands were turned into a thriving trade port upon the elve's exile.

Everything was well, until the orcs turned into inventors, they enjoyed building weird contraptions and inventions to get what they wanted. The humans evolved into a bookworm/smithing cultuture. They were strong, indipendent and loved their brother island ruled by the dwarves. When it came time that the semi-active volcano on the dwarven island finally erupted though, it was the humans that saved the dwarven race by bringing them to their island while many watched the loved ones and everything they own burned away. he bond with dwarves and humans had grown stronger after that
Over time, they began to breed with each-other, finding such inter racial acts now acceptable.
They now became a human-dwarf society. literally becoming one full race all on its own.
There were still pure blooded humans as well as pure blooded dwarves.
but it was now common to see half dwarves or half humans running about.

Which was a great thing because now the island became heavily into philosophy combined with the great smithing skills of dwarves and humans combined. They became legendary in the mainlands by harvesting hardened lava and magma, rare ores and whatnot that are only found around/in volcanoes, on the abandoned dwarven island. Their weapons, even if being made from simplistic iron..steel..and silver, were dangerous and obviously much more durable and mighty compared to the mainlanders weapons, and in even some cases, a few dwarves who ascertained a bit of magic within them even harvested coral from reef beds from the very ocean itself to make weapons from them. At this point, the four islands, one destroyed, one now a mainland shipping/entertainment port and slowly starting to be taken domain over by the orcs, as well as the human/dwarven islands being used for their rare smithing skills had flourished.

On how the races look different from their mainland cousins is obvious;

Dwarves: They're not as ripped or as stocky, save for the pure blooded dwarves, but their skin..has a tan to it due to working in the sun and in warm climates. dwarves are brown in colour, and their beards are not as long as their mainland cousins due to the weather and climate. But they're still as stuburon and annoying as their mainland cousins, possibly worse since their only "rock attachment source" is an active volcano. Those whom had somehow gain an immunity to fire and heat, managed to return to the island with their own magical enchantments and live near the active volcano to assist in harvesting the rare raw materials.

Orcs: Orcs are a darker green colour compared to their cousins, almost looking black in a weird way. The biggest difference with the races has to be orcs, their environment is so different from their mainland cousins. they were raised, and evolved around peaceful beings whom did not stereotype them just because of their race. brutish and weird sounding of course, but they're not as violent. they're a bit more docile. That and although they have great under-bites, and overbites, due to evolution and adaptation, there was little need for a great hulking maw their jaw-structure changed to adapt to living on what was given to them via nature; mostly fish and wild boar for meat. and an abundance of fruit and vegetables that and they're not as unthinkingly huge, they're big yes, but not as muscular. they're 'thinner' than their mainland cousins

Humans: the humans, tanned skinned and always varying in colours with brown and pink tints, vary. but they're not as stocky unless of their dwarven bloodline is in them, the humans aren't too hairy, they tend to not enjoy it too much due to constantly warm weathers.

So begins...

Domingo Bane Shrugged to himself taking another drink before jumping up onto the counter, and slid to the ground, rolling onto the ground and pouncing upwards, he was now infront of Johnathan Quake.

He held his two signature weapons in his hands. "I'll fight back for him." He said with a grin at Alina. He lifted his fingers towards her and made "Come at me." gestures.

"If you think you're hard enough."

Domingo Bane Glanced back at Johnathan. "I don't even know him, I just decided to fight for no other reason, except that's a fancy looking weapon." He spun his blades. "I fight because it gives me the exhilaration." He grinned.

"I really coudn't give a damn about you're personal quarrels, Fight me fairly, or run for cover, because I'm taking over this fight, so listen well."

He held out vengeance. "You too pussy?"

Domingo Bane blinked a few times; "Meh." He said flatly. "How disappointing." He snatched up his mug and left the bar.

That was dismal, pathetic really.

Domingo Bane Sat with his men, enjoying their talk and yelling, almost as good as being home with his family, but now he was here, but he was a falcon among pigeons, he got up to walk calmly towards ISabella, determined on buying her a drink; the warriors turned around and laughed, "He's gonna charm that woman, oh! the little romantic bastard!" They all yelled, laughing and patting eachother on the back, they perked up and yelled at the barkeep.

"More beer!"

Domingo snatched two bottles from a tray going towards the warriors, sitting with Isabella uninvited and holding out his hand. "Bane, I'm sorry about my men, we have a war to fight tomorrow and they thought getting drunk would be a good idea, I am truly sorry." He offered her a drink.

"Best enjoy the free drinks, however." He said with a smile.

Domingo Bane Shrugged. "You're missing out, you spanish bastard." He said jokingly, for he only knew of the spanish from his land, he took the offered bottle and unscrewed the cap, placing his on the table for later and took a long gulp, wiping his chin and kicking up his boots. He had seen cigarettes before, but never so..strange, white and brown.hm.

He took out a pipe, seeing as she smoked, flicking in some of his favorite smoking substance, weed from 'the shire'.
He held a finger which blazed with magical flames under the pipe.

"I offer my name and get none in return? I see how this is a fair trade, a woman's name is always more important than a mans." He said thoughtfully, his dwarven father had shown how to handle his alcohol before his death.

"But rejecting a free drink too? You must be from a strange culture."

The men in the background were laughing, pointing at Domingo and laughing before quickly hushing and concentrating on something else, like drinking and being merry as they dragged a rather confused bar-maid into their midst, laughing and patting her on the back. They all looked pleased with themselves, while the bar-maid just looked confused as the men joked around and charmed her with their rugged attitudes and appearance.

Domingo turned back to Isabella. "But if you enjoy that strange drink, tell me where to get one and I shall get it for you, I might try some myself, but it sounds lightweight, and rather a shameful name for an alcoholic drink."

Domingo Bane Stared at the bottle for a second. "It's just alcohol." He commented, lifting the bottle up and thanking her with a gesture. "To Isabella Alvarez, the woman who managed to catch my eye." He lifted his drink before taking a gulp, he blinked a few times before shrugging. "Not as good as dwarven brew, but good enough." He said with a faint nod.

"Well, I wasn't expecting you to tell me your full name, so you may know mine, Domingo Bane Porter." He said proudly, running a hand down his face and leaned forward to look her over in turn, he was impressed before but now he was impressed even more.

"So what brings you to a bar, if fancy drinks are too your liking? Wouldn't a brewery serve better?"

Domingo Bane Shrugged. "That's not a good use of a name, at all, but then again, when I slept with women, they couldn't remember my name at night, let alone the morning when I told them, it was quite amusing though." He shrugged, taking another gulp of the aptly named 'Tequila'.

He laughed at her comment for a question. He nodded slowly, leaning forward and grinned.

"The happier they are? The better they fight, are we're talking about pirates, rag-tag pathetic pirates, not a fully fledged elven battleforce, my men and I, come from a set of islands were beer ran faster than water, we certainly know how to handle our drink and fight in the period of a day." He brushed his hands lightly across the table.

"We are men of fighting, we live to fight and I live to explore, I am an eagle among turtles, you see?"

Domingo Bane eyed her. "Well, A little 'sleep' wouldn't go astray, but I'm not one for romance either." He shrugged, grinning away before taking another gulp. "Everything makes sense when you put in the right context, I come from a merchant city, it took me awhile to learn that, flying isn't possible unless you have wings, or is it really?" He said brightly.

"But honestly, can a man not talk? Or does he always have to have the agenda of sex?"

Domingo Bane Was already sitting at the counter, enjoying a bottle of alcohol and had his feet up on the counter, watching the rain outside, it was rainy today, maybe thunder, that would be fantastic.

The rain gleamed in his blue eyes, he slowly took a sip before a woman strode up to him and slapped him.

Hard.

"What was that for?"

"We're over, Sleeping with my sister was a bad idea." The woman stormed off before he could retort.

"Meh." He snorted with a sound of disinterest. So?

He took another sip, his thoughts going back to the subject of rain.

"Elf." He snarled, his words dripping with malice.

"Do not do that ever again, or I will drive that contraption down your blasted throat." Obviously, Bane disliked elves.

A lot.

Domingo Bane Opened his mouth to retort at Aeris before eying Isabella and placing a hand on her shoulder, bring her face to face with him, he whispered something barely legible to everyone around them; "It was my intention to sleep with you." He then let go and whipped around to Aeris.

"You prattling woman, do you not understand? You are not using dwarven or human made steel!" He stuffed his hand into a pouch upon his chest and withdrew a sleek, copper rod, with intricate details and it was off, very masterful make, he gently passed it into the elf's right hand.

"Use that, you woman, do not think that elven forges are the best, they create fancy but pathetic swords, the same as common tools and untrained farmers." He laughed.

Domingo Bane As the magical force was felt, the human slammed a booted foot to stop himself from falling. "And have you no care for your words, they do not fare well with me, elf." He spat onto the floor.

"You can call out the guards, but I won't back down in this argument." He said fiercely, his hand flinging the dagger back into it's chest-sheath, his hands withdrawing both of his weapons, both finely forged and proud looking. "In my realm, you're stinking kind have been forced to the mainland after stealing what my kind loved most, disgracing our king and we sent them to live with their drow cousins." He laughed, a dangerous grin forming on his face.

"Elf, it is your kind that came crawling to us, begged and bowed before the human kingdom, you cheated us and we sent you back into the ground." He snarled. "We forge the perfect weapons, the perfect armour and the perfect tool, we surpass the elves, the dwarves and orcs at the art of forging, you may have had an age to forge, but you are a pride and pride comes before the fall".

"We are chosen by the blood god, touched by the god of forging and I am the chosen of the god of forging." He then charged forward, sliding to the side in a sudden move and swung his lower sword in a downwards arc aimed for the legs and the scimitar for the hair, planning on humilating the elf, and elves were renowned for their pride of looks.

He roared, running his scimitar across the ground, running it slowly across the ice, the sword shone bright pale and now ice formed around the blade, growing into spikes and then he threw it at the feet of Aeris, if it was not stopped, it would explode upwards with the spell it had absorbed.

Domingo Bane laughed madly; "My level? My level? You started with insults, masked they were, but they were insults, you are a coward elf, forever you will be, your kind was always so cowardy, no matter what realm." He spat on the floor. He attempt to charge forward again, before a familiar hand yanked him back, he roared out in rage, he wanted to cut the tongue from the elf and smash the elf's head repeatedly into a stone wall for what had been said.

He still had his longsword out, he broke free and made a sudden move, holding his blade in such a way that it looked like he was attempting to slice the elf in half, but it was all a feint, as he quickly let go of the sword and tried to punch, Aeris's nose, with enough power to break it.

He ignored the guards, he found it amusing really.

"I forged some new weapons, axe's and maces mostly, even a 'skull' crown for those occasions in which you need to dress, but I cannot imagine a warlord such as yourself, ever needing to visit a party."

You fight better than any other woman or man I have seen in my life, you are as beautiful as any woman and you certainly have the promise of one of the greatest warlords this world has seen, your...men actually respect me, even though they are..demons, and I a man, I only wish for that I could fight as good as you, but I can certainly forge better."

He then looked out into the street, before quickly using his hair to hide his face and continue to beat the sword into shape.

Domingo Bane nodded slowly. "As my fathers before me, each one taught me a lesson of smithing, no blade should be rushed and no helmet should have a weakness." He gestured a gloved hand at a suits of armour resting in the back, each one was different and every one had finely crafted details, some even had faction markings, from clients who never picked up.

"But alas, I spent most of my childhood working in my father's forge, The kingdoms pushed us hard." He looked up, fully revealing his face.

"I think you already know who I am."

The Raven cawed loudly, fluttering towards Aeris and biting playfully at his shoulder, while keeping a blind eye on it's master.

"I must ask you, to forgive my insolence before, in my realm; The elves cheated and abused my race until we had nothing to give, you understand?"
