“My mother and fathers showed me what the best of what life has to offer, the pirates showed me the worst, I want more..”
Name: Domingo Bane Porter
Gender: Male
Species: Humanoid(
Age: Twenty-Nine
Skin colour: Tan, with the odd spot of pale skin(Usually around his hands.)
Scars: A long pale line across his chest, jagged and thick.
Tattoos: A long tribal fireball across his back and left arm and hand, the mark of smith and warrior in his culture.
Main weapon: Longsword “Vengeance”
A fierce weapon, serrated edges and smooth and lightweight at the same time, forged from steel in the deepest of dwarven forges, worked on by a dozen men and dwarves as a weapon worthy of a prince or legendary warrior, it has also been enchanted with the ability to burst into flames, withstand heat and absorb magical attacks, although limited to happening a set amount of times per day.
The bloody history behind the weapon falling into Bane's hands is indeed a story for another time, but it was requested and it was given as a gift.
Secondary weapon: Scimitar “Deception”
A scimitar forged within a normal forge, personal forged for himself by himself, Bane takes great pride in the weapon being almost as ferocious as himself in combat, the hooked tip being able to shred though most leather and even make a suitable impact upon steel armour.
Special skills/traits/magical abilities:
Akimbo blades: The skill required to fight with not one, but two scimitars is deft indeed, which leaves Bane a whirling force of sharp objects.
Master Smith: Due to having a Dwarf father and a Human father at one point in life, he has learned his both race's master talents, able to repair, create and weapons with masterful skill.
Acrobatic: Being from from a tropical island and merchant city, someone like him needs to know his parkour.
Racial background:
There is an archipelago deep in the undiscovered places of the earth, three islands connected by an invisible string of fate. Each island had a totem, now upon each one was a representation of the alliance of the islands, humans, elves, orcs and dwarves.
The humans made the best weapons and armour on the island, rivalling the dwarves and easily advancing over them in the production of melee weapons, the elves made the perfect leather armour and ranged weapons, the orcish warriors were the best of fighters, and the dwarves made good weapons and armour, if only surpassed by the humans.
Then the elves broke the truce, one of their nobles cheating the human's out of their totems, thus the humans got understandably angry, war commenced, the dwarves joined, the orcs joined out of pure bloodlust, the war determined who was left, the only death of a race was the elves, and then the islands were turned into a thriving trade port upon the elve's exile.
Everything was well, until the orcs turned into inventors, they enjoyed building weird contraptions and inventions to get what they wanted. The humans evolved into a bookworm/smithing cultuture. They were strong, indipendent and loved their brother island ruled by the dwarves. When it came time that the semi-active volcano on the dwarven island finally erupted though, it was the humans that saved the dwarven race by bringing them to their island while many watched the loved ones and everything they own burned away. he bond with dwarves and humans had grown stronger after that
Over time, they began to breed with each-other, finding such inter racial acts now acceptable.
They now became a human-dwarf society. literally becoming one full race all on its own.
There were still pure blooded humans as well as pure blooded dwarves.
but it was now common to see half dwarves or half humans running about.
Which was a great thing because now the island became heavily into philosophy combined with the great smithing skills of dwarves and humans combined. They became legendary in the mainlands by harvesting hardened lava and magma, rare ores and whatnot that are only found around/in volcanoes, on the abandoned dwarven island. Their weapons, even if being made from simplistic iron..steel..and silver, were dangerous and obviously much more durable and mighty compared to the mainlanders weapons, and in even some cases, a few dwarves who ascertained a bit of magic within them even harvested coral from reef beds from the very ocean itself to make weapons from them. At this point, the four islands, one destroyed, one now a mainland shipping/entertainment port and slowly starting to be taken domain over by the orcs, as well as the human/dwarven islands being used for their rare smithing skills had flourished.
On how the races look different from their mainland cousins is obvious;
Dwarves: They're not as ripped or as stocky, save for the pure blooded dwarves, but their skin..has a tan to it due to working in the sun and in warm climates. dwarves are brown in colour, and their beards are not as long as their mainland cousins due to the weather and climate. But they're still as stuburon and annoying as their mainland cousins, possibly worse since their only "rock attachment source" is an active volcano. Those whom had somehow gain an immunity to fire and heat, managed to return to the island with their own magical enchantments and live near the active volcano to assist in harvesting the rare raw materials.
Orcs: Orcs are a darker green colour compared to their cousins, almost looking black in a weird way. The biggest difference with the races has to be orcs, their environment is so different from their mainland cousins. they were raised, and evolved around peaceful beings whom did not stereotype them just because of their race. brutish and weird sounding of course, but they're not as violent. they're a bit more docile. That and although they have great under-bites, and overbites, due to evolution and adaptation, there was little need for a great hulking maw their jaw-structure changed to adapt to living on what was given to them via nature; mostly fish and wild boar for meat. and an abundance of fruit and vegetables that and they're not as unthinkingly huge, they're big yes, but not as muscular. they're 'thinner' than their mainland cousins
Humans: the humans, tanned skinned and always varying in colours with brown and pink tints, vary. but they're not as stocky unless of their dwarven bloodline is in them, the humans aren't too hairy, they tend to not enjoy it too much due to constantly warm weathers.
