Dominic is aloof, calculating and a quiet individual. His fledglings know very little about the man behind the power. Whomever he takes under his influence, they gain his trust, but not without going through the trials first. His personality appears complex to an outsider, but he enjoys his quiet personal time away from most civilization. To his fledglings, he appears to lack empathy, but to the rare view, he will demonstrate some amount of connection. Whether or not it's genuine, the person will never know. Most of his actions are calculated for his benefits alone and he is consumed by his own goals. There is very little in the world that will distract him away from his pursuits.
Dominic Crane stands at six-feet and wears leather armor for protection, but also as a versatile guise to blend in with society. With a roguish build, Dominic is able to influence the shadows and manipulate the scenery with an uncanny prowess. His eyes are a a dark amber, with an unsettling soul-less depth to them. Most people who dare to gaze into his eyes, claim to feel the predatory sensation. His eyes are without expressive everyday emotion, but when angered, they can become illuminated. It's not known whether this is done intentionally to intimidate others, or if this is for his own amusement. It's more than likely the latter.
His body was built for combat and he is most comfortable with melee. He is adept with guns, swords and daggers. Dominic considers guns less exciting to use during a fight, so he prefers to favor daggers, or swords. Twin daggers rest at his sides at all times, while a gun may be hidden on his person.
Long black hair rests at his back, while his skin tone mimics porcelain. Although he possesses these qualities, his body is built to compensate for the fact. Dominic can be quite vain and always puts his own needs first.
Dominic possesses the ability to manipulate the shadows to his will, but he also enjoys turning others into possible fledglings. His skills vary from daggers, to guns and swords, to simple hand-to-hand combat. Although he doesn't go looking for a fight, he will not back down from one either. He is known for fighting with a ferocity and his frame can be deceiving.
Dominic was turned into a vampire when he was a young boy. The elder vampire took pity on him and took him under his mentorship. Unlike other mentors, the elder vampire was cruel to Dominic and forced him to undergo torturous trials in order to gain new abilities. Unlike his mentors past fledglings, Dominic sought to kill his mentor and claim his own freedom One evening during a training session, the rage over came Dominic and he attacked his mentor. Unknown to his mentor, the rage had built over the years into an unhealthy obsession. Fond of daggers, Dominic caught the mentor by surprise and sliced his neck with his own weapon. The dagger is one of the twin daggers, that rests at his side to this day. Its dark history reminds Dominic of his past and what he's overcome, but he rarely shares his history with others.
Should Dominic take on a fledgling, he treats them with a harshness, but fairness. From learned lessons in his past, he doesn't seek to repeat the same treatment he received when he was a feldgling, although he will not hesitate to put strong-headed fledglings in their place if they attempt to cross him. He understands the desire to overcome their master all too well.
