Description

Ed had what seems like it used to be a flawless complexion, yet a scar trails from the left side of the bridge of his nose, all the way down to his abdomen. Standing at a simple 5'10, eyes of quick silver, and hair of gold, even with his brutalized face, he is still deserving of a second glance. His features are of a boy, yet his expression is of a man. His mind is said to be some where in between the two.

After his transformation into an immortalis his physical appearance changed a small amount.

“ would enter the bar with mild disinterest in everything that was happening, from the few at the bar to the girl and young woman near the piano, each would only have a moments glace spared upon them. An exasperated sigh escaped thin lips as he sat himself down at the counter, distancing himself from the others occupying stools. ”

Edwyn Marshall would look up, slightly surprised by the hispanic beauty who had snuck up on him. After only a moment he'd let the surprised expression wipe clean from his features, a handsome smile replacing it. About that time the other man would approach him and he'd look over. "Oh course, I'll share one." Ed's eyes moved back to the tender. "I'll have what he's having."

“ would offer his own right hand, taking the man's within it and shaking, firmly. Ed sighed lightly at the hospitality before he responded. "Yes, actually, you've caught me in my first fifteen minutes here. His left hand moved to the rum, fingers wrapping around it and sliding it to his lap, waiting for the handshake to end before bringing it up to his lips, taking a long drink. "Ahhhh....I'm Edwyn Marshall, but my friends call me Ed." He let the edges of his mouth pull into a smile. "It's good to meet you, you're certainly setting a high standard for those around here, though." ”

“ let out a soft sigh after drinking some more of the rum, straight from the bottle. He let a finger trail the scar on his nose, down to his cheek in repetition. His drinking buddy had left him so yet again he sat alone, in the last bar seat. He let his eyes lock on the ever busy Ms. Lolita Cruz, a smile playing upon his fair complexion once again. After a moment of this, he'd spin around on his stool, eyes studying everyone else in the bar. Smacking his lips once, he brought the bottle up for one more drink before setting it down on the counter, at least half empty by now. ”

“ turned to Ms. Lolita Cruz with a grin, he had obviously loosened up a bit from the rum he'd been sipping through, speaking of which, he would grab the bottle and bring it to his lips before responding. "Well, I wouldn't say lonely, closer to alone, if you know what I mean."

Ed would blink and pull a puzzled expression to his features. "You never did tell me your name." He put on his most handsome smile. "I happen to be Edwyn Marshall, and you are?" He was about to outstretch a hand to her but stopped, his intuition telling him to turn, which he did, almost catching Danachlea Isendualil. "Well hello there." He said with his soft, alluring voice. ”

Edwyn Marshall chuckled lightly and let go of her, confident she had her balance. Ed would then stoop to pick up her book and carefully keeping the page, hand it back to Danachlea Isendualil, only then noticing her beauty. "Well, you more than make up for it with your manners." He noted with a grin. "Well, I haven't rightly had time to introduce myself before you practically threw yourself at me..." Ed teased her before continuing, "I'm Edwyn Marshall, and you are..?" Ed would wait for her response, trying to see the title of the book that had been dropped.

"And if you don't mind me prying, what is that you're reading? I haven't read a good book in what seems like an eternity." It was true, Ed was usually quite the reader but his recent business had restricted his time schedule, but alas, he was finally free to do what he wanted once again.

Edwyn Marshall looked at the book for a moment, taking the book within his left and using his right to delicately skim the pages, not saying anything for a few moments. His eyes seemed to focus and his pupils dilated, seeming to retreat into his own world, this is how he used to be with books, losing himself.

Finally he shook his head lightly and looked up at her. "A most generous offer, but I can't simply borrow it when you're in the middle of this. I know I could never do that." A grin and he offered the book back, simultaneously sitting back upon his stool. "Would you like a drink?" He'd ask, looking over his shoulder for the hispanic barkeep that he had already befriended. "I would like some company if you wouldn't mind having to put up with me."

Edwyn Marshall made note of her near perfect posture before smiling lightly. "Well, I don't usually have girls fall into my arms, but today seems special." Ed said with a smile. It wasn't bad that she had unknowingly introduced herself, not bad at all. Ed had been craving some company, and she seemed like the perfect person to have an intellectual conversation with. Books...she had said book discussion, right? "Well I do happen to love literature..." He trailed off, taking a small sip of the rum in front of him, finishing it.

Ed's attention momentarily moved to Ms. Lolita Cruz, "And another rum, please?" he'd request with a smile, quickly letting his eyes return to Danachlea. "You have quite an unusual name, Miss..., I don't think I've ever heard it before." Ed noticed that she was quite plain, but had an under laying beauty about her, an intellectual beauty, and it intrigued him.

Edwyn Marshall laughed lightly, smirking, noticing her trying to conceal what he thought to be a smile. "Well then, am I to always call you by your full name or is there an alias you go by?" Ed would ask with the most smooth, comforting voice he could. " You can call me Ed, or Edwyn, either one works for me." His soft features went blank for a moment before becoming puzzled. "And should I call you Miss? Or Mrs.?" Ed's voice had a slight spark of curiosity in it for the first time since they had met.

“ nodded, sitting his elbow on the bar and taking a glass, full of ice, and pouring some rum atop of it, being a bit more classy with his company there. "Okay, Danni, and you're a Miss, unmarried then....I certainly don't see why not." The last would be said under his breathe, but still loud enough to hear if one was listening closely. He'd lose himself, staring at the grain of the wood on the bar counter for a moment.

A deep sigh of contentment. "Edwyn, how did I guess? You're quite proper, Miss Danni." Ed said with a light chuckle. He liked the mindless chatting he could have with this woman. "Maybe I'll have to stop by your library some time. I do plan on spending quite some time here, and I'm in need of a nice book I can sit down and lose myself in." ”

Edwyn Marshall look about for what had happened but he had no idea, he would kneel down offering her a hand. "Are you alright?" He'd ask with a light panic in his voice. "You're not hurt are you?" Ed looked her up and down to check for anything bleeding. Everything seemed to be intact, but Ed would be more cautious about that type of thing, other injuries that are unseen can come easily, he would know that very well.

“ nodded, "Of course." Ed would, with hands that would be unexpectedly gentle and even strong, and only after throwing her bag over his left shoulder, slip one hand underneath Danachlea Isendualil's knees, the other around the small of her back, scooping her up and carefully maneuvering to the nearest couch, and setting her down, then the books, and finally himself. Ed sat beside her, but not too close.

"Well bruises are worse than a cut if you ask me, but then again not many have been cut like I have." He let his finger trail his rather large scar once before returning his gaze to Danni. ”

Edwyn Marshall let out a deep sigh, "I know I didn't have to, I wanted to." A small smile before going into thought for just a moment. He shifted a little uneasily. "It happened what seems like forever ago. Let's just say I used to be in a line of work where I'm lucky all that happened was this." He smiled at her, his eyes seeming to change. Instead of the usual gray, they appeared to be liquid, as if quicksilver had invaded where his iris' should be. "And you always have to watch out for those books, sounds pretty dangerous." Ed grinned lightly at his own corny little joke.

Edwyn Marshall smiled warmly at her. Ed bit his lip when she trailed her fingers over his face, honestly he almost never let anyone touch him, much less his face, but for some reason, she was different. "Your hands are really soft." Ed muttered, before feeling a bit slow, "Then again I wouldn't think books would wear down your hands too badly, hmm?" Ed said, quite amused with himself.

“ smiled warmly. "Yeah, but that's more of a who I used to be type of thing, you know?" Edwyn sniffed lightly and took another sip of the rum he had brought over with him. "So, tell me about yourself? I really don't know too much, not that I should, we haven't known each other too long, yet."

Ed couldn't help but want to know more about her, she was quite intriguing to him, and her curiosity about him made it all that much better. It was like fuel to the fire. ”

Edwyn Marshall sat a hand softly on her arm and smiled lightly, using one finger he coaxed her to look at him. "Danni, relax." Ed laughed lightly. "You aren't working right now, you don't have to be so proper." He waited a moment before continuing. "It's not too hard..." Ed slumped down a bit in the couch, but not too much. "See? comfortable. And I can tell your legs are hurting, so sit as comfortably as you can."

“ groaned playfully. "If you say so, darling." Ed looked away, pretending to be offended before looking back at her with a mischievous smile. "I'm just kidding with you, I'm not one to tell you how to act, talk, walk, speak, or in this case, sit." He winked at her before taking another drink.

"Well then, this place you're from, it sounds nice." Ed liked hearing Danni talk, something about her voice was soothing to him. ”

“ smiled lightly and noticed her slight movements. "Well, I don't rightfully know exactly, as far back as I can remember I was on my own, but then I was taken in and brought here, I had a 'father figure' if you will. He taught me everything I know. He was a good man." Edwyn drifted off a bit to himself for a few moments before looking up at her. "So I guess I'm from here, at least in spirit." A warm smile and he would shift his eyes to look into hers for a long moment, not wanting to break the contact.

"And you must love this library of yours, I have a feeling it's your pride and joy." Ed lifted his arms and stretched lightly, letting one lay upon the top of the couch, stopping just behind her head. "And isn't that a bit more comfortable?" Ed took a small piece of ice from the glass into his mouth and sat it down, all attention upon the woman beside him. ”

“ nodded slowly, listening to Danni and smiled when she mentioned the habit. "I'm sorry, is it bothering you?" Ed finished his drink and stretched his legs out in front of him, one over the other, letting his arm move just a bit closer, almost around her shoulders.

Finally removing his gaze from her, as it wasn't being returned, finding that many more patrons had joined them in the rather large ground floor, he studied each one for a moment before turning his attention to Danni once more. They weren't who he was interested in, he was sitting beside the one that he was. "So, tell me, what was your first impression of me, and how has it changed since then?" A playful smirk adorned his thin lips. ”

Edwyn Marshall scoffed, yet again acting as if he took offense. "Pushing sensibilities huh?" Ed squinted for a moment, and wished she would move back to him once more. "What exactly do you mean by that?" He asked, curiosity glinting in his eyes. Edwyn brought one arm to rub his eye lightly and he smiled.

"And darling, I don't bite, I promise." He chuckled. "You can sit near me if you were comfortable doing so?" In truth, Edwyn had a full body shiver when they made brief contact, enjoying it extensively, he hadn't felt this close to a person in a long time. It was quite nice.

Edwyn Marshall laughed at how she reacted, grinning widely afterwards. "Well then, is it bad that I openly express my interest?" Ed retracted his hand, pulling it back to his lap, his voice becoming as smooth as velvet, "I can stop, that is, if you'd like me to." Eyes of quick silver locked with her own. "Do you want me to stop, Danni?" Another grin had taken to his lips by now, and didn't intend on leaving.

“ blinked once, twice, studying her reaction before he saw her try to rise and his arms shot out, keeping her from hitting the floor as much as he could from the couch, half falling over himself. "You really have to watch yourself, Danni." Ed smiled with mild amusement, "Do you want to get away from me that badly? I could easily leave if that's what you wished." Ed's face was serious for once, and he looked at her, guilt in his eyes. It was his own fault that she almost fell, once again. ”

Edwyn Marshall grinned lightly. "Oh, well I never said I was even interested in romantics with you, Danni." Ed noted with a bit of amusement in his voice. As for the romantics, if they were to happen, they would come, but as for right now? Ed was enjoying his new found friend, even if she was a bit awkward at times.

"Just relax, if you leaning on my arm is too much, I understand." A warm smile adorned his lips. "Don't think I'll try to force anything upon, that's way out of character for me. He'd nod with certainty. Arms moved above his head, and further up, as far as he could, stretching his back and arms as much as possible while sitting down. His abdomen would show just a bit, but not for long as his hands shot down to pull the jacket back down with them.

“ noticed her gaze down, frowning a bit as she did so, but then back to him and he let his infectious smile take place back upon his rather soft features, one finger moved up to move along the scar upon his face before Edwyn finally let himself talk. "Well, just relax, no one is going to tell them, but just in case, we don't have to sit too close." Ed always had a way of sneaking in a bit of humor, it's just part of who he was.

Ed sat back once more, finally moving from where he had caught Danachlea Isendualil, but this time kept his arm bent at the elbow as to not get too close to her. "I'm sorry for pushing your....sensibilities." Ed smiled at the word, amused at her choice to use that one. "But anyways, what should we converse about now that the awkward moment has passed?" ”

Edwyn Marshall shrugged lightly, a small smile taking his lips. "Then why are you so worried what they'll find out?" Edwyn let a hand move to the back of his head and he cleared his throat after a moment. "Well, games? That completely depends on the game." A grin. "And you should smile more, I like it when you smile."
