Emmanuel is a little short for his racial heritage, but is built like a refrigerator. His muscles bulge against any clothing he wears, and his movements are like those of a lithe panther. He has a small, thin beard that runs up into his sideburns. Emmanuel's hair is cut short in a buzz, and he has a small tattoo of a dragonfly just under the nape of his neck. His facial features are supple, yet masculine, and are very easy to like. Emmanuel's eyebrows are shaped and shaved with a small gash on the far left and right side of those respective brows. Most of the time, for clothes, he wears a simple tank top with dark grey jeans. A silver ring bedecks his right ring finger, and he tends to wear simple sandals.

When he is on a mission, however, he wears a tight bulletproof vest, arm, and shin guards that can be done up in a variety of different camouflages. Beneath this, he wears a drab grey jumpsuit with a silk liner on the inside for comfort. His tabi are usually smooth and tacky, but have an optional cleated attachment. Various pieces of high tech equipment are tightly held against his body, and make no sound when he moves. On his face, he wears a dark black balaclava and a pair of night vision goggles. Though he doesn't normally use it, he does have an antique ninjato strapped to his back.

Personality

Emmanuel is by nature, a pacifist and lover, who cares about those close to him and will naturally protect those he considers his allies. He does not enjoy getting into fights, and will avoid conflict if he can. His nature as a shinobi is to run away from problems, so he has a tendency to back down or retreat in a given situation of tension. In his nature to take the path of least resistance, he often sabotages his chances to advance by avoiding adversity. This is in stark contrast to his training as a ninja, which encourages enduring hardship and pushing one's self. As such, he is not a particularly high ranking member of his clan, he spot earned sheerly through the degree of his skill. His ability to empathize and relate with other people is useful for assassination, as though he is good at making friends, is always loyal to his clan first. He does sometimes feel guilt about the necessity of his actions, but this is nothing a meditation can't wash away.

He is jovial over all, but there are a few things that get under his skin. The first and foremost are those who dare call themselves ninja and fail to adhere to the teachings of true ninjutsu. The second is people who consider violence the only option to solve a given conflict. He always considers using his skills to kill a tragic turn of events that could have been avoided.

Equipment

When he is in civilian attire, Emmanuel tends to carry only a handful of shuriken and a small electrified stun knife which he uses to great effect. Occasionally, he will wear a katana and tanto at more formal occasions, but never his ninjato.

When he is working, Emmanuel has a vast array of equipment such as climbing gear, binoculars, cameras, lock picks, mirrors, and other useful equipment that he carries in a lightweight backpack. For weapons, Emmanuel tends to stick to practicality, and his weaponry changes up depending on the mission. Some of his favored weapons are the P90 Submachine gun (silenced, of course), Hand crossbow, and the Keppeler Bullpup Sniper Rifle. Emmanuel is, of course, highly skilled with martial arts and the weapons that go along with these techniques, but knows better than to rely on these alone.

All of these tools, however, balk in comparison to Emmanuel's most powerful device, which is an Arcane Neutralizer produced by VARIAtech. Emmanuel can toggle this palm sized device to emit a thirty foot radius where magical abilities simply do not function, though he only activates it if he is in serious trouble.

History

Emmanuel Chiyome was born into the Chiyome clan in a small community near Kyoto, in the low misty mountains of southern Japan. Though the family was well known for its ability to train highly skilled ninjas and geishas for the purposes of infiltration, Emmanuel did of course have the option to pursue a different career in life. At the age of six, however, after experiencing the sheer awesomeness of the skill of some of the elders of this clan, he knew he wanted to live as they did. His training was completed at the age of twenty, when he was given his first mission to pursue and track a well known business man and find out some of his underground endeavors. Contrary to most shinobi ways, Emmanuel made himself known to the target, and grew close to him as a friend. Since the target saw him as a confidant, he invited him along to a late night meeting, where Emmanuel protected him. Several months later, he was ordered to kill this man, which Emmanuel did without hesitation.

He is now stationed in Wing City, keeping track of Bartleby Jeltz and his activities, specifically regarding the ARC units.

So begins...

Emmanuel Chiyome's Story

There was a small hiss and clunk as the blast door's to Gambit's open and shut, a rather normal looking man walking in. He had a dark skin color, apparently of an african american and some type of asian blood. He looked around the bar once, a demure smile on his face before walking perfectly silently over to the bar where he ordered a glass of Troegs beer and some of the house's beef jerky. His dress was casual enough; a white tank top with dark grey khaki pants. What was perhaps unordinary were the tabi he wore on his feet, with simple sandals on. Plucking the television's remote off of a tray, he flicked the channel over to a sports channel dedicated to soccer and began to indulge in his drink.

There was a demure woosh as the blast doors that lead into Gambit's slid open, allowing entrance to a rather normal looking human, as far as normal went around these parts. He was dark skinned, probably of african descent, but also of asian, oddly enough. Well...not odd for him, surely, but an odd combination for most people to ponder. He was dressed in casual night clothes, the air outside being perfectly lukewarm, with a bar of cargo trunks, white T, and a large, black backpack. He smiled brightly as he walked into the bar, his footsteps silent from the tabi and sandals on his feet, which was really the only semi-remarkable thing about him.

Drawing up to the bar, he sat down with a pleasant sigh and smiled brightly to the bar tender, which was a nice change of pace from the unemotional metal scrap heaps that usually whizzed around. "Hey hon. I'll take a Troegs on tap with an order of hot dog bites, yeah?" he said in his rich voice, having just the slightest japanese sweetness to it.

Emmanuel Chiyome chuckled at Valeria's dig at his choice of food. Yes, he knew hot dogs were usually of suspect origin, especially in Wing City, but the flavor was just so juicy and meaty, just his kind of thing. The bitterness of the Troegs went well with the little morsels however, and he ate eagerly when the plate arrived. He turned a gleaming eye towards Dmitri and held up a pointed finger before swallowing and speaking. "...-eah. I'll take those cigs off your hand. What's it worth to ya?" he inquired lightly, leaning heavily on the counter top in a relaxed manner. So far as he knew, he had no enemies in Wing City yet, and no one in here seemed like a loose cannon...more or less.

"The things humans eat because they taste good are often the worst for them. It's an inescapable cycle of desire and self destruction. Why should I pretend I don't want something?" he asked with a coy twinkle in his eye, giving the bar maid a once over before taking another pull from his beer. It had been a relatively light come-on, and Emmanuel probably didn't mean it in any serious way, but he wasn't going to give her the upper hand that easily.

Emmanuel Chiyome had never seen a seven inch tall pink moose fire a phaser and summon elemental magic before, but then it happened, so he just had to laugh at maztac. Otherwise, he turned back to Dmitri after his order was filled out and rummaged around in his back pack. "Let's see...I've got...fifteen spare AP 5.7x28mm rounds I can give you. A bit unorthodox, I'll admit, but good enough?" he asked hopefully, holding out the weighty bullets for Dmitri to take. If he knew anything about guns, he'd be able to instantly discern what kind of heat Emmanuel was packing.

As for Valeria...was that an invitation or a rebuttal. Probably an invitation for a rebuttal. Emphasis on the...Nah. Emmanuel shook his head and grinned. Bartenders in the western world were so much more fun than those in asia. They were all smiles with yes sir no sir. It was nice to have some coy conversation. "Yes, well. If find that the difference between me and others is that I'd rather talk first." he said, taking another sip of his Troegs.

"Jackson Hiriosh...Jack or Jackie work best. Funny though, Patron 1 reminds me of my SWAT days..." Emmanuel said, already having woven an intricate web of lies in his head. Being what he was, he was naturally given to deceive others and withhold information if possible. Briskly tucking the pack of cigs back into his satchel, he popped another hot dog bite and downed the rest of his Troegs. "A glass of water, please?" he asked Valeria with bright eyes. It was just good practice. He may enjoy a round or two, but his training would never let him muddle his mind THAT much. At least it was nice to know he was Patron 1. That spoke volumes right there, especially considering that he was in the middle. As he idly ate a few more bits of food, he pondered new things to say to Valeria. Most were a bit too strong, but, subtlety being his trade, he eventually rallied himself.

"I'm no good with names though, just getting that out there. (lie)" he said, rubbing his hair in faux embarrassment. "...still, I like to work on a fair trade basis, so what's your handle?" Emmanuel asked, gesturing to Val.

Emmanuel Chiyome smiled, in spite of himself. A black jack girl eh? She was becoming more and more enticing by the minute...not that it took much for him. A few synapses connected in his brain and he was up and running again. "Yeah, well, it's funny what a couple spots of insubordination can do for a guy's career in law enforcement." Kyle said, shrugging sheepishly. He took a long draught of the cool water and sighed softly, his voice reverberating deeply. He perked his ears up as he heard a spot of thunder outside. Great, walk home was going to be a blast.

"Jackson is fine, sure." he said, sounding not entirely content in keeping with his facade. The urban ninja turned around with a start as the indefatigable Dark came flying through the window, causing a ruckus as usual. He'd seen her around, and could only admit he was amused by her.

"Sure, I'll just have another Troegs. Bottle this time, though. But only on the condition that you admit you think my name is weird." Emmanuel said with a chuckle, noting her somewhat disgusted face when she tried out his fake monicker. Trained as he was to pick up on the subtle actions and behaviors of others, Emmanuel couldn't help but figure that she was a bit into him. It wasn't often a bar tender outright offered a patron another drink, and even though she'd technically asked the other two, she'd singled him out and asked him first. He was about to follow up on this when a car exploded, which, needless to say, derailed his train of thought.

"Heh, yeah, funny you should mention..." he said, tipping the bottle up to his smiling lips. "Well, consider my last name, Hiriosh. I'm half Japanese, you see, and mom wanted to pick out my first name. Now she's this cute little Kyoto woman who knows precisely shit about america, but she wants an american name for me, and likes jackson because it sounds..." Emmanuel said, making a grandiose motion with his hands, "...preppy and polo shirt..y." he said, grinding to a halt. Maybe the beer was starting to get to him more than he thought. He was also smiling internally at her comment on how she had to provide him with both a drink and an answer. Forced her to acknowledge he was making a power play.

"As for what you get out of this...well, I guess whatever you think is fair...or not." Jackson shrugged, twirling his beer bottle around in one of his large hands.

"Actually, I'm the kind of guy used to getting other people's ways for them." he said, getting a little defensive. "And a drink can be worth quite a bit to someone in the right circumstances." Emmanuel added in hindsight, taking another hit of his Troegs. In all truth, he'd just let on more about himself than he normally would have cared to divulge, but the drink and company was good, and his assignments thus far had been almost trivial in nature. Best to live a little loosely while he had the chance. He doubted others like him in the city were half as rigorous as he.

His eyes widened reflexively every time someone fired a shot in the bar, and became somewhat self conscious of the P90 stowed in his backpack when the aschen chick showed up. Law was never something he much enjoyed having around him. "So, Val, you must be pretty tough to be on the late shift at Gambits. Don't tell me you're Ex-SWAT as well?" he grinned.

"Well, I haven't been in Wing City very long, but thankfully I've already gotten the hang of the place..." Emmanuel said. He'd done plenty of research before his clan had sent him here. It of course didn't fully prepare him for the overt weirdness of Wing City, but it got him down on a running start. He took a swig of his beer while he waited for Val to serve her new customers. In truth, he hadn't really seen much action since coming to the city at his clan's request. It was kind of annoying, but he'd been promised that his quarry would show up eventually...within the next month. Until then, he was coasting.

"Well, work is kind of slow in Wing City, what with everyone being superman and what not, but mostly hired muscle who knows a thing or two about the law and civilized behavior." Emmanuel said, waving his hand daintily to the right. He was quite experienced in dealing with high-roller type tycoons who demanded pedantic respect. It was a skill that came naturally. Usually it just involved being sycophantic.

There was a silent whoosh as the pneumatic doors into Gambit's slid shut as another patron trickled through the door. He seemed normal enough, as far as normal was concerned around Wing City. He was of a darker skin, appearing to be Black and Japanese in heritage, though with the former being a tad more apparent. At any rate, he walked across the floor with barely a sound, only rustle of of his fine kimono, highly formal, hitting the floor marking his entrance. He was built in stature, slightly taller than average and would have been rather imposing if it weren't for the upbeat smile plastered on his face. At his side were a well aged and perhaps not particularly battle-worthy katana and tanto sword. He looked around slowly, taking in the scene before approaching Rino, pleased to see someone of an oriental persuasion in the bar.

Sitting down at the bar, he ordered a bottle of Sapporo, offering the other demonic looking youth a courteous, short bow...though not taking his eyes off of him. It was definitely the kind of bow that a martial artist would offer to another. "Heyo. Nice set. What're you in town for?" he asked, nodding towards the demon's armament

"Same gig, man. Also just a peppering of corporate espionage. Normally don't go around in the home threads, but I just came from a formal meet and greet with the mark, so I needed to clean myself up." Emmanuel said, looking over his shoulder at the pale chick still lingering over by the door. Cute in the face, but a bit of a twig. He liked women with a little...inertia to them. Still, she looked like she could use a little fun, so he also beckoned her over, grinning enthusiastically. She wouldn't get anywhere in this town if she didn't make friends. She did come over, sitting next to the oni next to him. Eh, birds of a feather, he supposed.

When his beer came, he drank it back enthusiastically, sighing greatly. As much as he understood the cultural significance, he had never gotten the hand of rice wine, and that's all there was to be had at formal meetings like the one he'd been at. Emmanuel leaned forward and offered the pale chick a wave. "Hey legs. What's your handle?" he asked, in a friendly enough voice.

"This thing...?" Emmanuel said, lifting the katana slightly, looking at it with a furrowed brow. "Oh nah, this is just a formality." It was a lie, but he had to maintain SOME of his true nature secret. Emmanuel waved his hand dismissively at the katana, taking a sip of his beer. In actuality, he was perfectly adequate in the use of Katana, but he was better with the Ninjato concealed in his robe...along with the P90. "I'm more of a Glock 27 kind of guy, y'know?"

He leaned again to look at the girl. She had some sharp chompers there. Maybe a refugee from Hell? He'd heard the civil wars had kicked up again. "Well hey there Nina. Welcome to Wing City. You'll be safe so long as you don't hang around here." Emmanuel said with a pronounced chuckle. Suddenly, there came a ringing, and he pulled a phone out of his robe. "Sorry, gotta take this..."

There was a soft whoosh as the doors closed, allowing entrance to a rather obviously orientally dressed man, though he himself was not completely oriental himself. A mix of black and japanese, Emmanuel slowly walked across the bar door, making little sound but the ruffling of his highly formal, expensive looking kimono as it brushed along the ground. It was a blue-hued, silver color with a large print of lotus flowers and dragonflies down the back. His obi was a bright yellow, and from it hung a katana and tanto blade, which didn't look like weapons so much as antique jewelry. He had a bright cheery look on his face, observing the bar patrons brightly as he looked for a place to sit.

Spotting the lone girl Lenart at the bar, he made his way over casually and sat down next to her, offering a curt wave. Seeming to think his order over carefully, he eventually chose a tall glass of Troegs beer on tap, with a bunch of beef cold cuts on the side...to be eaten with chop sticks, of course. He rose an eyebrow at the girl next to him, with a wry smile. "...You been in here long?" he asked, looking at Nina's display as well. He recognized the pale girl from the day before...had seemed harmless enough at the time. Ah well. That was Wing City's midtown, for you.

Emmanuel Chiyome had been drinking his large beer quietly for a while as the girl next to him decided to nod off for a bit, taking it upon himself to keep an eye out for her. Being a body guard wasn't his usual gig, but for cute girls, he'd make exceptions. Of course, when she did wake up and shout frantically, he chuckled lowly. "Yeah, Asian if only in blood. I do prefer western culture when I can experience it."

"Japanese, yeah. Mom was from Kyoto and dad...wasn't." Emmanuel said, laughing slightly. The girl was a bit of a wreck, well no. She was a complete wreck. Three hours was definitely long enough to get utterly sloshed in Gambit's, what with how people usually did their drinking in here. Emmanuel reached over and plucked the small cup from in front of her and took a whiff. Ah yes, rice wine...or sake, whatever you wanted to call it. It could take you for a ride if you weren't ready for it. She obviously hadn't been ready for it. Emmanuel flagged down a passing serve bot and ordered a tall glass of water for the cat-girl...it would be best for her headache right now.

"Here, drink this up, legs." Emmanuel said, passing the glass of water to her.

There was the most silent of steps as Emmanuel Chiyome gracefully made his way into the bar. Granted, silent steps were basically inaudible in the incessant din of Gambit's bar, but he prided himself on his subtlety nonetheless. The black japanese man was dressed in a long fancy kimono, the robe being of white and a slightly pearlescent powder blue. His obi was a vibrant golden color, and from it loosely hung a rather antique looking katana and companion tanto. He wore a large smile on his face, the oriental looks clashing strangely with his darker features, but he often found that people found it endearing. With unhurried strides, he made his way over to the bar counter, making sure that the bulge in the front of his robe was passed off only as a distention from the way the fabric sat on his body. In reality, it was his actual weapon...a P90 submachine gun. One such as he was never to be caught off guard, or something like that.

At the moment, however, he was intent only on enjoying a nice large glass of cultural dissonance. Emmanuel, frankly, did not like sake and was rather frustrated by the fact that he was constantly expected to drink the damn stuff. Who drinks a warm alcoholic beverage? Weirdos. So, instead, the ambassador for the Chiyome clan ordered himself a large mug of Troegs beer and a companion plate of steak fries. He was seated in between a particularly lovely young lady who was, sadly, talking to some little high roller shit and a man with a distinctly arcane whiff about him. No identifiable threats. Life was good.

..."Nah, I'm in Wing City until this whole dirty business with the Taiyou empire gets cleared up. Which will probably take a long time." Emmanuel said shrugging, tightening up the straps of his kimono slightly and sitting up a little straighter. He nonchalantly brushed his gown into shape, a secret check to make sure his concealed firearm was still neatly tucked away. He was aware that he was dressed highly irregular, even for those who might not be familiar with him. In reality, he was involved with high level talks between several underground daimyos that had interests in Wing City. But even this was a cover, for his ultimate purpose was even deeper in the shadows.

"So how's you been?" he asked, idly stuffing a few heavily seasoned fries into his mouth. Contrary to his size and physique, he was not a very heavy eater, though he could pack it away when he needed to. It was just that he'd been at a 'banquet' with all fancy food the entire day, and by fancy, that meant tiny

The bar to Gambit's bar opened, regularly, and completely without any kind of fuss at all. A perfectly normal looking man walked in, his hair buzzed short and wearing a whit tshirt on this warm spring evening. He wore a black and yellow backpack which didn't look very full or very empty. Indeed, the only really remarkable thing about him was that he was wearing classing japanese sandals, the kind that were all wooden and rectangular. He sat down at the bar and stretched for a moment before ordering up a Stormking Stout, his personal favorite beer. He looked to be japanese in heritage, with one of the parents african or otherwise dark-skinned. He eyed the poster for calling for assassins moment, sipping the dark foul beer slowly.

He then proceeded to order a plate of mozzarella sticks. No wait. Jalapeno poppers. Oh yeah.

"So who's Bo?" Emmanuel asked loudly, hopefully loudly enough that the Bo in question would notice. Hopefully he'd finally have something to do in this city. He munched on one of the jalapenos idly as he waited for any kind of response. Though he was good at stuff other than being an assassin, it was certainly a strength of his being a fully trained modernized ninja. He could use the pay too, no doubt.

"Is Bo busy then? Eh?" Emmanuel asked, talking to no one yet hopefully one person in particular. Whatever. If Bo couldn't be bothered to follow through with his advertisements he probably wasn't going to be a really awesome ninja clan super assassin leader anyway. Or maybe he was one of those assassins that thought stealth and discretion were still the way to handle things in Wing City and this whole ask for Bo thing was a test to root out the tools.

Then a cat girl came at him and started babbling a bunch of horseshit. Gotta love Gambit's.

"Interesting question...am I a fed? Well, for starters, if I was, I'd probably be better at the job than most of this white-hooded tarts that is lounging around here. But then one has to consider that, what with the Aschen Empire still occupying Terra there really isn't such a thing as a 'fed'. Or perhaps you mean an Aschen Fed, but if you meant that then I'd probably have shot or kidnapped someone by now. Or something."

Emmanuel took another swig of beer.

"So sorry, I'm going to have to ask you to rephrase the question."
