Genesis's Story

Genesis opened the door to the bar, as he walked in. He stepped in, looking briefly around the bar and then down to his side where he held a book. He smiled and walked over to the bar, sitting down as he ordered a drink.
Genesis brought up the book, opening it to look over the words. He had memorized it all by now so it was more a novelty then anything. He started to recite a passage in the book, his words quieted under the bar's noise.
Genesis looked up from the book, sliding it down to it's place on his belt. He smiled as he paid the bartender, taking the red drink. He brought it to his lips. "The gift of the goddess." He joked lightly, drinking.
Genesis sipped at his drink, as he looked around the bar's patrons. He didn't see much of anyone he knew. Ruby was obstructed by another patron to him. He sighed, drinking the last of his drink.
Genesis stood from his seat, as he pushed the empty glass back into the counter. He smiled, looking down and started to walk out of the bar. He stopped half war, and looked over to where Ruby was. He grinned, bringing his hand up to half wave to her be then walked out of the bar.
The setting changes from gambits-bar to Wing City Lake: Beach
Genesis watched Ruby from the tree line. He smiled lightly as he leaned against one of the tree's his hair blowing in the slight breeze as he held his book
Genesis looked down as he didn't want to disrupt her yet. He smiled, letting her words drift into his ears. Genesis closed his eyes, thumbing the book. He sighed quietly, opening his eyes to watch her.
Genesis continued to smile as she sand the rest of the song. His head tilted downward as in thought for a second. Genesis walked out of the tree line quietly walking to her. "His life is saved, however By a woman of the opposing nation" He said softly, walking up to her side and looking over to her.
Genesis crouched down to her to be at her side. He stared at her, watching her shyly look away. "Hello Ruby. It has been quite some time since we last saw each other..." He said, looking out over the water then back to her.
Genesis brought up his hand halfway to her side but then quickly dropped it. "You're blushing.." He said with a light smile. "I propose I feel sorry for not being around."
Genesis nodded in return. "My friend, the fates are cruel..." He said as he held the book in his hands. He then smiled to her. "I would change them if I could. For the better."
Genesis looked away. "There's just one last thing before I leave..." He said as he paused and recited loveless again. "One becomes a hero, one wanders the land, And the last is taken prisoner. Which do you think I am?"
Genesis nodded slowly as he stood halfway. "I don't know either." He said truthfully, and looked out over the water. "It was good to see you again Ruby." He said as he layed down his book down beside her. "I don't need this anymore. I'd like you to have it." He said, as he started to walk away.
Genesis sat out on the beach. He closed his eyes as he felt the breeze flow over him. Hearing the tide come in and out.
Genesis opened his eyes and looked over as he heard Ruby approach. "Hello Ruby." He says with a smile.
Genesis smiled as she hugged him, placing a hand on her arm. "I'm sorry for being away. But how have you been?"
Genesis blinked and nodded slowly. "Really?" He said sounding excited as he walked over closer to her.
Genesis smiled and hugged her. "That's great Ruby. Did you tell him about us...?" He asks, and looks at the book. "I'm glad you like it..."
Genesis nodded slowly, thinking. "Maybe I should go see him?" He said and brushed her hair with his hand. "But speaking of sephiroth... does he know that I have returned?"
