The bar doors slowly pushed open and a rather unassuming individual in a brown suit was seen standing in the center of the doorway. For all intents and purposes the man seemed to be perhaps Terran, as he had no identifying characteristics of an Aschen. Quietly he moved through the bar, his shoes making a thinking sound on the wooden floor of the bar. The man was looking for something, and this bar was one of the places he was investigating.

"Gambit's Bar, the Military documents forwarded to me seem accurate, now just to find someone to question." He said, eyes looking up to the patrons, then back down to a series of photos in his hand. "Hmm."

The suit clad man did for all intents and purposes, seem somewhat out of place in the bar.

James McKenna caught Markuss for a moment, before he directed his gaze to one of the photographs in his hands. That was the one he wanted to question first, yes, that had been determined. So the man nodded, and slowly started to make his way over to Makuss, and where the man sat, after a moment, the Detective spoke up.

"Excuse me, but can I have a moment of your time?"

James McKenna quickly pocketed the photograph, at least the one he had of Markuss, before he produced his badge, it seemed to be a typical Police badge, bearing the emblem of the stylized phoenix on a royal blue enamel background.

"I'm Detective Sergeant McKenna with the Caprica City Police Department, I'm on loan under the authority of the Aschen Occupation, and I'd like to ask you a few questions if you don't mind." He said, shifting in his jacket for another photograph.

"First I would like to ask, what's your name?"

James McKenna frowned and then cantered his head for a moment. "Perhaps I procure an order of detention and charge you with obstructing an investigation? Cut the sarcasm and work with me, and we'll all come out of this for the better." He then produced an image of a familiar blonde woman.

"Do you know this woman?"

James McKenna pursed his lips a moment, then he looked down to the photograph, the man could spot a lie a mile away, and knew when he was being lied to. "Ok, thank you for your time." He said, pretending to buy the lie, before he slid the photo back into his jacket pocket.

"Sorry to bother you." He said, before he started to walk away, producing his cell phone. "Yeah? Commander Safis, I need you to do me a favor..." His voice had trailed off as he walked away.

James McKenna tapped his foot for a moment, as a single Aschen Military Lynx IFV rumbled up to the front of the bar, after he had hung up the phone, he dialed another number.

"I need you to write a provisional warrant and forward it to Judge Magsiter Gairwin, I'm making an arrest in connection with the case." He said, before he turned around, and approached Markuss.

"Mr. Jonavich, I'm placing you under arrest for obstructing an investigation." He said, noting the missing arm and producing a set of handcuffs.

"Come with me down to the station."

James McKenna remained quiet for a moment, before he looked to the beer. "Sure I'll let you finish, but first you need to tell me who the individual pictured is." He said calmly, before he produced a picture of Marlene and Markuss sitting together. "Because I don't think you don't know, in fact I think you have quite a rapport with her, a relationship perhaps?" He said calmly, sliding into a barstool, before he glanced at Asia.

"Aschen Occupational Authority Directive 43.7, I don't require probable cause or any evidence, only reasonable suspicion, but in this gentleman's case, I have evidence he's lying to me, so cut the crap and tell me the truth, what is you relationship to this woman?"

James McKenna glanced back to Cryoface. "Just doing my job, I'm here to see justice done, not subjugate and oppress anyone, I'm sure you understand, if someone murdered your child, would you not want justice done?" He said, turning back to Markuss. "If you don't know the woman, why does she have a dossier half a kilometron long on you? Name, Information? It's funny because you two have a history, and it's even funnier that the woman turned up dead. Now, I would hate to charge an innocent man with murder, so it would be in your best interest to help with the investigation, and bring the perpetrators to justice."

He got a comfortable seat next to Markuss, he was playing a game, a good cop bad cop game perhaps.

"I just need some help bringing whoever did this.. to justice." He said, producing a crime scene photo of a gory mess, body parts and blood strewn over the room, with a horridly disfigured naked woman in a bathtub filled with blood.

James McKenna pocketed the photograph. "CSID Spent a good Centar making tabs on the body parts, I need you to come down to the station and give a statement and an alibi, you're not being suspected of the crime yet, but we need to rule out the innocent just as much as we need to prove the guilty." He said, producing a few more photos.

"Do you know of anyone whom was after the woman? Maybe someone she knew, or someone that knew her?" Now he had broken the ice, he could work with his investigation.

"We think the perpetrator is hiding here, on Terra."

James McKenna nodded, then shifted in his seat. "You can come whenever you have time, I just need a statement from you." The detective said, his demeanor hadn't really changed much, he had worked many cases like this one, and it seemed that this case wasn't different from the others.

"Very well then, do you have a phone number or something that I can contact you with?" He asked.

James McKenna took the number, then he pocketed it, nodding. "Thank you for your cooperation." He said, inclining his head before he turned to D.

"Which photograph?" He asked, eyeing the man suspiciously, of course he would do what he needed to to do bring the investigation to a successful conclusion. "I can show you some of them, but not all of them." He said, nodding some.

James McKenna took the photo of the crime scene out of his jacket pocket and he slowly handed the photograph off to the other man. "I can always make copies." He said, having had the original digital film back at his station. "Have fun." The Detective said, grasping his disruptor pistol out of his jacket, unclasping the holster and pulling the weapon out.

James McKenna looked to the corpse and frowned. "This is just not my night tonight, is it?" He said, completely unfazed by the gory scene that had unfolded before him, still keeping his hand on the weapon, he slowly approached the corpse on the floor. "Don't see it raining bodies every day, I wonder what happened." He said, reaching into his jacket and producing a pair of rubber gloves, getting ready to examine the body and note what he could until authorities arrived.

James McKenna when he was shoved aside he quickly withdrew his disruptor pistol, firing four green bursts of light into the ventilation shaft, pelting the metal with green bolts of super-heated energy. Pelting the necromorph in the ceiling with the energy, he then backed up and leveled his pistol at the Puker class, discharging three brilliant beams of light at the puker, each beam carrying enough energy to rend and sear flesh, and even turn flesh into ashes, each discharge of his weapon seemed to make a distinct pop as the beams flew.

James McKenna swung his Disruptor pistol towards the two packs on James' back, after he took careful aim with the weapon's holographic sights, he discharged two well placed bolts of energy, which seared towards James, one bolt for one pack, as the energy beam aimed to strike it's target, and likely cause a chain reaction to vaporize the intended target.

James McKenna was suddenly grabbed by one of the soldiers, whisked out of the bar by what appeared to be a column of light descending from the ship above, illuminating the area with a soft purple glow, he didn't resist the men, but went with them as they made their retreat before the Necromorph infestation was too great to contain.

James McKenna pushed the door to the bar open and looked around for a moment, then he slid his hands into the pockets of his suit jacket before he checked his portable MDT device, which broadcasted a flickering COMPSTAT screen that was scrolling with data, silently, the man moved towards Lawless, hoping to get more information on his case.

As he approached, he took his hands out of his pockets, and he pocketed the MDT, while closing the distance between the two.

James McKenna continued to make his approach, before he addressed the Tiefling.

"Are you Lawless?" He asked, as he produced a photograph, matching the images on the photo before he directed his attention back to the person before him. "I need to ask you a few questions, do you mind?" He said, inclining his head somewhat before he turned to Clay for a moment.

James McKenna nodded. "I shouldn't keep you too long, or interrupt you too much, I just have one question." He said, producing a picture of a woman standing with a man, it looked like it had been snapped without the two of them knowing about it.

"Do you recognize the woman in this photo?" He said, passing it to the other, handing it to him.

"It pertains to my investigation."

James McKenna made a long face, before he produced his badge. "I'm Detective James McKenna with the Caprica City PD's Homicide division, I'm here because I'm investigating her murder." He said with an almost completely straight face. "I was wondering if you had any information as to who last saw her alive, or her recent whereabouts."

James McKenna nodded and then he handed the man a photograph of the murder scene, blood, gore, and guts were strewn about the house and ending in the bathroom, where a dismembered body that was clearly Marlene's was laying. "These are photos of the crime scene, we managed to determine she was tortured before she was murdered, so you haven't seen her before she died? Do you know anyone else she associated with, did she perhaps have any enemies to watch out for?"

James McKenna nodded and then produced several photographs, one of them was of Raphael McGregor, Marlene's son and current Emperor of the Aschen Empire, the other one was of the late George Montgomery, whom was clad in a suit. "She was an agent with the Defense Agency, did she speak of any family, you mention a Greggore, you mean Raphael McGregor, or her stepdad, Darian McGregor?"

James McKenna frowned for a moment. "I don't know who did it but I have a few suspects." He said, sitting down and getting himself comfortable in the barstool.

"I can fancy a guess as to who did the deed, She was tortured, and from what I could tell, nothing in the house was missing, the house wasn't ransacked, it was like they came in and gunned right for Marlene.

James McKenna spoke. "Darian McGregor, he's always had a score to settle with his daughters, and we think he did the deed, I could be wrong though." He said, eyeing Markuss as he stepped into the bar, the Detective then handed Lawless his card.

"If you learn anything new, be sure to call me, I'm attached to Terra with the Aschen occupation."

James McKenna nodded. "Darian is the scum of the earth, raped both his daughters when they were young, it's a pretty sad story, I've got the report from the investigating officer in my office somewhere, I just hope I can bring some semblance of justice to the poor woman." James said with a sigh.
