a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by D'jinn

Description

Physical Description:

The general image of Ka'thak is generally as stated. He stands six foot six, weighing approximately twelve ounces considering his body is made of pure magic aura, and that it does not have a definite weight. The material of which is visible in his face is a super lightweight substance formed of compacted mana, which created the living form he controls. The color of the compacted mana depends on Ka'thaks mood. When he is in a normal mood, his skin is dark brown with splotches of light blue, white, and red. When he is angry, the color changes to a algae green with hints and splotches of brown, pink, and turquoise. When he is happy, the color changes to a light brown accompanied with various oranges, greens, reds, blues, and an occasional violet tint.

Draped on Ka'thaks body is blue sand robes that are typically warn by arabaic traders that travel the desert areas. The material toward his legs and knees is worn with a light brown, indicating he has surpassed sandstorms and maybe even quicksand traps that dot the dunes. On each of his shoulder, stapled using iron spikes into the fabric, is leather pads that are worn for basic armor, as well as a fashion-esque sense. A worn leather belt holds together the several lesser robes that drab Ka'thaks insides. Two long sheets of fabric with various multi-colored triangles on it reach down from the leather belt to his feet, which are clothed with worn leather shoes. On two long leather necklaces worn across his chest are several pouches containing magic dust, as well as horns, charms, antiques, and small totems that represent mystic deities.

His weapon of choice is his D'jinn staff, Xelxios. Xelxios is a stick from a tree, the long stick that serves as a magic staff appears to alive, the magic flowing through it keeps it so. Three slips of cloth are wrapped around toward the top where three separate branches come off into three smaller ones on those. Another branch, actually the horn of a chimera, is held to the staff by means of leather strips and a magic glue.

Personality

Generally Ka'thak does not care about the lives of other living beings, besides his god, Etherius. He is a nice person, however, that does not make him care for you so. Other than that he is generally a un-social person.

Equipment & Abilities

He relies mainly on his magic more than anything. Typically, anything within the realm of possibility is able to be casted by Ka'thak. Being a D'jinn, a basic recreation of Etherius, he has access to the vast amounts of mana, and even the heart of all magic, the Etherium Heart.

Historical Background

Ka'thak grew up in persia as a the son of a shopkeeper. His father, Maldrik, was very abusive towards him, constantly yelling at him, forcing him to do lots of labor, and beating him for the pleasure of it. Unable to take it anymore, Ka'thak ran away from home and to the desert, where he learned to survive until he was an adult. When he became an adult he studied Etherius, and the arts of magic. After years of study he returned to the desert where he gave his humanity up to become one with magic. A Djinn.

casts a glance at the sandstone walls covered in cobwebs and old curtains. Returning his gaze to his staff he begins to carve magic runes into the air as if there was a substance. There was a substance. Magic. The dusty air gave way to the fresh scent of lemons and arabaic fragrances when the magic words in the air light up from a dull grey light to blinding silver sunlight. The words stretched and distorted, wrapping themselves around the D'jinn. Pulling him into a nearly transparent hole formed where the words once were.

Ka'thak was covered by webs. These webs were the webs that interlinked his teleportation spell to all known places within the multiverse. Where he wanted to go, where magic existed, it would allow him to go there. Soon, the webs gave way to what was a room. The place seemed to be the tavern he was looking for, and quite more fancy than what he had expected it to be. Taking a step away from the silver webs which disappeared as he left them, he left out a large yawn and examined the surroundings. Not too far off to the left was a man made of metal, perhaps a robot of some sort. He also notes the pseudodragon sniffing around, probably for food. Ka'thak approached the dragon and attempt to stick his hand out in friendly greeting.

"Don't worry, I won't let you down, boss! At least I won't try to. And if I do mess up, feel free to blame me! It'll be my fault after all!" he happily said. ...holy crap, he really is a yes man.

Meanwhile, the door of the bar opened up once more to reveal another odd customer. It's... a bipedal cat, wearing a hood, his eye covered with an eyepatch, carrying a sword sheath on his back, a sword shoved into both sides of the sheath. "Heh... guess I found a pretty interestin' place here then..." he joked upon seeing all the patrons in the tavern, his voice gruff, yet obviously full of kindness.

Elizabeth slipped into another room briefly, followed by a visit to the kitchen. When she returned, the bowl in her hands was gone. With a nod to Yes Man, she said, "Well, here is your chance. There are a few other employees around, as you can see. I have some errands to run, so I must be leaving for now. Be careful with the fragile objects."

The waitress, now off-duty, gave a small bow to the cat before she continued towards the exit.

Ka'thak turned to look at the lady that had been throwing questions at him, "Perhaps a glass of water will suffice, I am not one to drink alcohol or liquor." the words flowed through his mouth as he approached an empty table to sit at. He giggled at the thought of the innocent creature that had sniffed his hand, he had always wanted a pet, but was never a master at taking care of anything besides himself, and even then he was terrible.

Ka'thak lifted his left hand and hovered it over the table. Green light flowed from his hand to the table, slowly compacting together to form a green cup with inscribed runes on the handle. Inside of the cup was water, Ka'Thak happily picked up the cup and took a drink, chugging it down. He places the cup back on the table and placed his hand on top, more green light filled the inside of the cup, the green light compacted together to form water and refilled the cup. The waitress woman had taken too long to get him his water.

felt the presence of another magical being looking upon him as he sat there drinking from his Shaman cup, given to him by a powerful shaman lord on a now destroyed planet many years ago. His mind, using magic, narrowed in on the man with the firey hair glaring at him (Faron Jasperson, it was apparent that the man that had glared upon him was a powerful wizard, a demon as well. Ka'thak had dealt with demons in the past, they were usually rowdy folk with easily tempered spirits, as well as being full of greed and hatred for D'jinn. Ka'thak stood up and approached the man, "Have we problems?" he asked calmly, awaiting his response.

Ka'thak was startled and surprised by how the demon had said his words. Even though he tried to hide it, he could not hide his anger and irritation by the D'jinns presence before him. Ka'thak stood before him thinking of what to do, this man seemed to pose a threat to him, for he was of an irritable nature around another magic user, making him a problem. He stepped in front of the man, between him and the other fellow he was talking to "I see... I guess this is how it must be then. I hoped it would have fared better." with that said Ka'thak raised his left hand and sent a bolt of lighting at the demons chest.

( Ignore my last post regarding the attack on the Demon ) Sensing that the creature, a demon, had looked upon him, he felt irritated, angry, and otherwise agitated. Ka'thak stood up and walked around the bar a little bit, scooting past some objects and people he would rather ignore, such as the red haired demon. Then he came upon a Satyr and a Centaur talking, in a semi-social mood he said "Hi" stepping into their little group of discussion that was formed.

Ka'thak looked down on the centaur, "No need to be afraid my child. I am not some hostile creature that wants to destroy you." he says, trying to calm her down a little.

" Ah Greek. What a beautiful culture, I am Arabaic. Amazing to see a creature coming from human mythology here as well. " looking at Nap and Esperenza, " About my skin. It is compacted magic. Thousands of years ago I abandoned humanity and became a creature made of magic, a D'jinn. Capable of controlling all magic usable within the universe. " noticing the tiny lizard as well, Ka'thak waves at the tiny creature "What a happy little pseudodragon." he notes.

" I do not grant wishes. Those are genies, we are of the same species yes, but we are very, very different. While genies are limited to wishes, I can create anything!" I shouted in honor! Putting my left fist to my chest.

I look towards the man who called to me in insult, " I figured I would say something I would regret. " I remarked, turning to look at him, " Hello brethren. Did not see you over there, I know you are not just limited to wishes. I was just merely stating the difference between us two. " I say, smiling.

" Well... " I say lifting my arms, golden tendrils leaked from my hands out onto the ground, compacting together to form many tin cans. When the tin cans were done be created, I lifted my hands again. A light grey magic came forth from my fingertips and arranged the tin cans on the ground in the shape of a duck.

" Ah, I am sorry for the insult. " I say, my apology truly sincere, " I've no idea with the influx of sheep in this place. Oh, the tin duck was probably to satisfy the satyrs appetite... They eat tin cans and stuff like that. " I remark.

I approach the satyr and gave him a sack " This is a sack-of-finite " I explained " Inside this sack is a room with storage barrels and lockers. You can store anything in here, magical or not, it doesn't matter. " I set the sack in his hand and smile.

Ulrich advanced, still with his weapon ready to fire at Lazarus. He read the pad, and a concerned expression crossed his face then dissipated.

"Stand down n' come peace-like, Laz. Murder in Wing City, yer on their wanted list n' gotta set shit right. Aight?" Ulrich nudged the weapon closer, and jerked his head to the door. Backup stood just beyond, but he hoped there would be no need for that.

I quickly turn to see the man charge in with the plans to kill someone. " No. " I say, my voice booming with magic to surprise him, light blue magic burst from my palms and surrounded myself in a Master Magic/Weapon Ward shield.

Ulrich glanced around as citizens were obviously concerned.

"R'main calm, everone," He then looked pointedly to Lazarus. The man was upset, as the storm cloud expressed

"Yer Daemala's kin, eh? She sired you n'wotnot? Y'like shittin' up her name?" Ulrich couldn't help it, he was naturally a provoker. Still, he stiffened and continued. "Y'want 'em to come down on her fer yer acts? Best pay a mortal price," He nodded, taking a step closer.

"Peace-like, an' there might be a shred to save yer ass."

Ka'thak took down his magic shield and approached ulrich, towering over him he stuck a finger out at him. " Leave now. " he begins to chant, tendrils of fire begin grazing around his feet " No harm shall come to any while they are within the boundaries of me. You hear? I will not tolerate your stupidity. " this time with his finger he poked ulrich's chest, " Do not challenge me fiend. You know not of what I can do. " with that Ka'thak takes a few steps back and awaits his response.
