Kiyoko pushed her trembling hands into her jacket as she moved along the sidewalk. Her movements were slow and careful, as if she was taking extra time to count her steps. Nothing left her lips as she opened the door to Gambits and walked in. Her dull eyes grazed over the silent building before resting on the worn floor. She wasn't to make eye contact, that was the third rule she learned.

This was the only time James gave her to be social. Of course he was watching, and she had to be careful with her words and movements. If she were to even think the word escape, it'd be more pain for her. Opening her mouth slightly, she looked around for a bartender or waiter. She wanted to order a water. Something cold would help her throat. "B-bartender?" Even in the silence Kiyoko called out for someone. She paid no mind to the electronic menu, it looked like a computer to her. Obviously, she wasn't aloud to touch one of those. She would sit for now, and wait for a reply. Truly she didn't want to go back to James, but she already knew she would by the end of the day..

Where was that damn bartender?

The resonant sound coming from behind her caused the thin hairs on the back of her neck to stand on edge. Her palms became clammy, and she felt a bead of sweat roll down her temple and to her chin. He wasn't here, it couldn't be him. He wouldn't dare show his face here..

Slowly, Kiyoko turned in her seat. Her pale face shifting to an even lighter shade. The creature was not in fact James, but he had decieved her so many times before with his appearance. The only way to tell.. No. She wouldn't go near it, she'd simply wait for it to come to-

"James!" She shrieked, falling out of her seat and onto the ground when she heard a voice merely inches from her. Kiyo felt her head start to spin and reached up to hold it, finding some liquid seeping out the back of her head. Sweat? No. Had she really hit her head that hard? It seemed so.

Finally looking up, she gasped, holding her small chest and head. "I'm s-sorry.. I-I thought you were someone else." Kiyoko felt as if her heart was going to burst. Creeping closer to the counter, she pulled the stool in front of her. As if it would serve as some kind of protection from the foul beasts in the bar. Though, her void eyes moved back to the one known as Iczer. If it was James, he would have already taken her home. Then again.. this one was just as evil as him.

Kiyoko pulled another stool in front of her, shivering as a thin stream of blood strolled down her high cheek bone. The sweat causing the cut to sting, but all she felt was coldness throughout her body. Her eyes now rested on her knees as she pulled them to her and wrapped her arms around them. She shouldn't have come. She should have stayed home. "Baka.."

When the one that had startled her disappeared, she felt at ease. Slightly. There was still a woman stating that she was bleeding. No matter how beautiful or bright she was, Kiyoko wasn't letting her get too close. "Yes.. I f-fell.. Is it bad?" She asked, looking away and leaning towards the light. The cut was close to a quarter inch deep, her matted hair stopping most of the blood from flowing out. "I don't know what came over me.. I'm never-"

She stopped herself. Don't lie. The very first rule she learned from him. "I'm like this a lot.. I'm never this clumsy I mean.." That was better. Kiyo slowly rose, pushing the stools forward before sitting upon one. Not that she noticed, but a small pool of blood had formed behind where she formerly sat. All the way down her back was a long dark line. Darker then her black clothes; obviously blood.

The tapping caught her off guard. Raising her eyesight, she noticed the creature there again. Her nose suddenly filled with her scent and she felt her stomach roll. It wasn't James. His scent was alluring, pure almost. It was underneath that made you sick to your stomach.

Kiyoko jumped again, this time grasping the counter so she would not fall again. She was sure James would already be furious with this wound. "Thank you, Miss.." Her voice was frail as she reached out to retrieve the napkin with blood covered fingers. Lifting it to the cut, Kiyo remained 'composed' as she dabbed at it, only to feel more blood pour out.

"Chikishou.." She whimpered to herself, rolling up the napkin and pushing it into her pocket. "He's going to kill me.. He said this was the last straw.." Kiyoko's voice merely above a whisper. With a trembling hand, she grasped the counter once more and slid out of her seat. Only to pass by the two woman now speaking amongst one another. Crawling over the bar, Kiyoko slipped out of her jacket, rolling most of it up before pressing it to the cut. She then began to search.

"Vodka.. Vodka.." Kiyo went on, grabbing a bottle as she disappeared into what looked like a kitchen. If no one would stop her, she'd search around for a needle. Only to come back with a bottle and old rag. "He's going to kill me.. only to bring me back so I can relive this.. I know it.." Shuffling over to the sink, she poured the vodka over the rag, only to press it to her wound.

This time, she felt the pain.

Kiyoko closed her eyes, biting firmly down on her thin bottom lip. The pain was slowly numbing, but it was still there. Like a thought lost in your mind. You may not remember it specifically, but it was still reachable. "I should just go home.." She mumbled, keeping the rag pressed to her wound to hopefully stop the blood. Maybe if she left now she could get there, stitch and clean herself up before he returned.

That wouldn't work and she knew it. His senses were high when he fed, thus she would be caught red handed and he would believe she was lying. James didn't like liars; even if he was one himself. Though, she paused noticing the tiger. Kiyoko's eyes brightened, and she actually smiled.

For some strange reason, the white tiger reminded her of a kitten she had many years ago. Something she could look back on happily. Just as she opened her mouth to speak, her eyes wondered over to Rodger. Quickly, she slunk back over the counter and farther away from the remaining patrons of the bar. Kiyoko didn't need to cause any more disturbance.

Raising her head, Kiyoko finally stood with the bloodied rag gripped in her right hand. Her footsteps lithe as she made her way to the door to leave. The half emptied bottle of vodka left at her booth with a twenty dollar bill. Really she didn't know what the price was here for alcohol.

But she did know she wanted to leave. Thus, she pushed open the doors and exited into the cool night air.

Riyoko scratched at the thin layer of tape over her recently stitched up wound, wincing in slight pain as she strode into the bar with a sigh. Her hair was tied up in a messy bun and she wore a dull red rose behind her left ear. It was fake, but James thought it made her look 'even prettier.' She wasn't pretty, she knew that. More a skeleton with paper for skin. Then again, if he kept loving her, she would never talk back against his word. She needed him. Or did he need her? Kiyoko could never figure that one out.

"It's over, look out below.." She whispered, brushing a thick strand of raven hair from her eyes as she took a seat at the bar. The lithe girl held herself with better composure, and actually smiled. "And I'm wasted.. I still taste it.." She went on, her soft voice light like the air holding no emotion at all. Emotionless; That was a wonderful word to describe Kiyoko. And yet, at times, she smiled or laughed. When he was away taking pair of business, of course.

Tapping her nails on the counter, she searched around the bar idly with a groan. "Tanoshii, Tanoshii.."

At the sound of the doors slamming back against the wall, Kiyoko screamed and gripped the counter, her stool sliding out from under her. She squirmed slightly, trying to stand on her own to feet as she clung to the wooden top. "Damnit.. Damnit.." She whispered, pulling herself upright with a groan. Thank god she remembered the counter was there. If not.. She'd probably have another gaping hole in the back of her head.

Finally looking over her shoulder, she jumped up, nearly onto to the bar. "God.. mother.. jeesus.. christ.. help.." Kiyoko mumbled, biting her lip as she suddenly slid over the bar and hid behind it. Praying to whatever god that the beast-like man did not see her.

"If your looking for a coward, you found one.." Kiyoko raised her slender right arm, turning and standing up slowly. Her hand disappearing back into the pocket of her jacket, trembling slowly. Though she found herself slinking back behind the counter, shaking her head with a sigh.

Why did she speak up? She was only going to get herself hurt. With a loud groan, she pulled her hood over her head and part of her face. Letting her dull eyes lull close.

[i][b]Kiyoko grabbed at her lower back, wincing again from the pain as she slowly stood. Though, she jumped, clinging to the rock so she was not to fall down. "Wh-who are y-y-you?!" She shrieked, stepping back after gaining her composure.

It was true.. tonight was not her night. Seeing how she was wearing a pair of shoes that were a size to big, it was very easy for her to trip over a root that was rightfully in the way. "GODAMNIT!" She yelled, clutching the sand with her hands until she felt it slink under her nails. It wasn't until moments later that she noticed the woman again. Her face no longer told of fear, but joy.

"Oh! Oh! You look just like Yumii!" Kiyo exclaimed, slowly getting up and watching the ground as she stepped over to the woman. It was true, she looked almost identical to her former bestfriend. Before she was killed by..

Pushing those thoughts away, she smiled and wiped the dirt away on her jeans. "I'm Kiyoko Rin Megumi.. You'll have to ignore my.. clumsyness.. I'm not like this, really." With that being said, she offered her hand and nodded slightly. Wait.. was she smiling more?

Kiyoko blinked a few times at her first statement, scratching at the tape that covered her recently stitched up wound that lay at the base of her skull. Though, she let out a soft laugh at the ironic fact that a ghost could not be mauled by a bear.

.. Right?

"I probably will!" Kiyoko exclaimed, finally standing on the ground with stabilized footwork and a sigh. "I think I'm okay.." With a nod, she pushed her hands into the pocket of her jacket and smiled a sweet and innocent-like smile. "Yes.. I had a childhood friend that looked just like you. Ears and all." She explained, crossing one foot in front of the other carefully. Only to stand back 'normally.' Truly.. she didn't want to fall again.

Reaching out to touch the woman's shoulder, she gasped as it phased right through. "So.. you really are a ghost?" She inquired, a thin brow raising as she slid a strand of hair behind her right ear. "That's cool.. I'm just.. A human." She lied, not really sure on what she was.. exactly.

The wind around her blew slowly, causing strands of hair to flicker across her face and neck as she walked along the worn path. Her black shoes covered in tan sand as she scuffed them boredly. She was humming a soft tune, keeping her darkened eyes up towards the mountain. Kiyoko planned on climbing to the top. Nothing better to do anyways, and she highly doubted someone was out here.

Of course, she kept her guard up, her trembling hands in her pockets, and continued up the path. Though, she stopped, hearing a small twig break behind her. "James?" Kiyo whispered, her frail voice carrying on the wind as she turned to face the sound. Nothing.

Taking a very deep breath, Kiyoko tried to clear her mind and stepped back onto the path. "Quit being silly Kiyo.. Nothing is out here.." 'Other then your sociopathic boyfriend who just happens to be a demon, whom is always watching.' She felt like adding, a smile forming on her dried up lips. Yes, a smile. In a twisted way, she loved him. And yet, in a true way, she hated him. But alas, he was the only one she had. Kiyoko could turn to no one else. She had no one else.

Suddenly.. She felt alone.

"Breakdown, rebound..This could be my last goodbye.. You crossed your heart, I hope to die.." Kiyoko sang, her tone now filled with sorrow, yet sounded quite beautiful. "And I can't deny your eyes..You know I tried to read between the lines.." She went on, pushing her hands into her pockets deeper as a hard wind blew by. Causing her to stop and duck behind a large boulder. She didn't need to be swept away with the wind again..

Leaning against the rock, she slowly slid down with a sigh. Resting her back end against the dirt. "Who said that it's better to have loved and lost? I wish that I had never loved at all.." Kiyoko whispered the last part, rubbing her eyes free of tears as she pulled her legs to her chest and laid her chin against her left knee. Now she was either to sit back and sulk, or move forward.

"Oh what the hell." She grumbled, running a hand through her hair as she put it up in a sloppy bun and stood up. A bit too quickly, causing a head rush to form and her to fall back against the rock. A soft thud would be heard as she smacked her back against it, groaning in pain. "Fuuck... Today is just not my day.." Holding her back, she sat along the rock once more, simply shaking her head and fighting back the groans and whimpers of the pain. She didn't break anything.. did she?

As she attempted to move, she heard the resonant sound only a mere twenty feet from her. Despite the pain, she stood and peeped out from behind the rock. The sand not helping much in her seeing; Thus she waited for the creature to show itself. Just when she thought there was only one being there, she heard a voice behind her. "Chikishou.." She whispered, pulling her hood over her head and crawling back, behind a small row of thick brush.

A loose sigh left her lips when the woman strode right past her, not even noticing Kiyo's presence. For now she would watch. It either were a threat, she'd flee. That's what she did best after all. "Stupid people.. why can't they just leave me alone.. all I want is peace and quiet.." Kiyoko whimpered softly, sitting upon the grass covered ground silently. Shortly after, bringing it to her chest in attempt to feel 'safe'. But was she ever safe? Never.

Raising her head a bit, Kiyo leaned towards the brush, pushing aside the leaves and such so she could get a good view of the two again. She had to be careful, James had warned her of that.

Pushing her hands into her pockets, Kiyoko moved into the bar silently with a clear frown on her lips. She wasn't in a good mood, which of course didn't matter, wasn't like anyone noticed her anyways. "Water.. Hmm.." She mumbled as she reached the bar, tapping her frail fingers against the touch screen menu to order herself a water and cereal. She wasn't sure on what kind she wanted, thus she closed her eyes and tapped.

Kiyo opened her eyes and smiled when she selected cheerios, her favorite. It seemed her luck was changing; maybe. Sitting at the nearest free stool, she actually smiled as she waited on her order to be filled.

"Hmm?" Kiyoko asked idly as she turned into her seat to face the dark man, her hands trembling instantly. "O-oh.. W-what's tragic e-exactly?" She stuttered, not even bothering to notice her order as it was brought to her by a dwarf sized robot, barely able to see over the counter. Kiyo looked over the man before her dark eyes returned to his own. She was never good with others, especially ones that gave off bad vibes.

Kiyoko seemed to take a calmed breath when he spoke of the forest. Her eyes drifting over to the glass of water and bowl of cheerios. With a solemn nod, she nibbled on the cereal a bit before replying. "No.. I didn't hear about it. Wh-who damaged it? Or.. what damaged it?" Thousands of images raced through her mind, only one clear; James. He hadn't gotten mad again, had he? She hated when that happened... Then again, if he didn't take it out on her, she was content.

"Oh.. That.. sucks?" She asked in question, not really sure in what to say back to that. No one ever engaged in real conversation. Normally she was asked what was wrong; pitied. "Not really.. It's a bit change.. I'm the boring one anyways." Kiyo let out a shaky laugh as she sipped at her water and stared down at the bowl of cereal.

Kiyo continued to stare down, trailing her fingers over the counter slowly. Only to jump when he poked her boney arm. "N-not really.. I m-mean.. Well.. I-I can't talk a-about my life.." She sounded like a blubbering idiot, she was sure. But wasn't that better then a silent freak? Kiyoko pulled her black hood down, looking over to him with frigid eyes as she waited for a reply.

"No.. It's not me that's stopping.. it's h-him.." She whispered, grasping the glass slightly as she closed her eyes and tried to block his voice. Though she still felt something grip the back of her neck threateningly. Now she knew he was watching. "K-Kiyoko Rin.. It's nice to meet you." Kiyoko felt the grip loosen and soon disappear as she took back her hand and rested it on the counter. "Y-" She cut herself off, her nails digging into the counter as a bead of blood trickled down her right arm through her jacket. "No." Kiyo stated firmly, the wound healing and her fingers sprawled out on the counter, wood pieces forced under her nails. "Damnit.."

"Japan." She whispered, lifting her hand to her face to pull out the wood. Biting down on her lip firmly, she pulled them all out one by one, droplets of her blood landing on he counter. "I live here now.. Up in the mountains." She lied, listening to his every word as she scooted closer to the counter and wiped her nails on her pants, wincing again. "A-and you?"
