Mae is a petite girl when in her human form. She has piercing purple eyes and long hair. When she shape shifts into a Tiger she is a large Bengal tiger. Her coat is a brilliant orange and black.
Personality
Mae is a quiet girl who usually keeps to herself, although if you fight her she will become loud and controlling.
Equipment
Her razor sharp claws and teeth.
History
Mae was born and immediately put into a special school. This school was for people like her so they could control their abilities at a very early age. By the time she was 3 she could shift on command and switch back without hurting herself. She never saw her parents, or even knew what it was like having parents until she was released from the school. She met an elderly couple who needed protection in their store. It would be robbed at night and they had contacted the school for assistance. Mae was brought into their family and has been with them ever since.
So begins...
Mae Gayson's Story
Mae Gayson strolled through the woods in her tiger form. She felt safer in it. She slowed to a stop and saw someone practicing. The rain pattered down on her back and she twisted her body, sending raindrops flying in ever direction. Her tail whipped behind her and she stepped out of the forest and sat down, watching the man.
Mae Gayson glanced at the knives and back at the man, her large eyes taking in everything. A smile seemed to creep across her face, her large teeth showing. She stood, stretched and walked over to the knives. She cocked her large tiger head to the side and bit one of them, pulling it out of the tree and throwing it back at the man, making sure to miss. She then sat back down again.
Mae Gayson got back up and walked over to him. She walked around him once, her tail flicking against his legs. She looked up at him and whispered "Mae." It more came out as a snarl but she didn't realize it. She ran over to the tree and rubbed against it, a sudden itch on her leg.
Mae Gayson ran over to it and sniffed it. She picked it up and shifted back into her human form. "E-lie" She said quietly, placing the pouch into her pocket smiling. She wandered off into the night.
The setting changes from dark-woods to Gambit's Bar
Mae Gayson walked into the bar in her human form. She was wearing a short black dress that hugged her curves. She noticed Eli and looked up at him when she entered. She walked over and tapped his shoulder, retrieving the pouch from her pocket. "You dropped this" She said as her eyes flickered colors. She then went and sat down at the bar.
Mae Gayson sat down next to Tatsuki and ordered a whiskey. She took the shot quickly and closed her eyes, holding down the burn. She looked around at the people in the bar. The only person she knew was Eli and he didn't know who she was on account of her being in her tiger form last time they met. She glanced at the person next to her and smiled being casual.
Mae Gayson glanced down at the man. "You don't remember me?" She giggled and ordered another drink, twirling it in her fingers. "That tiger? That was me." She smiled taking her shot and looking back at him. Her eyes were a brilliant purple.
Mae Gayson smiled, still feeling the burn from her drink. "You don't see many tigers lately." She said and looked over at him. "Were you practicing?" She asked letting her curiousness get the best of her. Why would someone be in the forest practicing? Well, there was nobody around, maybe it was the best place.
Mae Gayson shrugged. "I was walking around. I like to take strolls at night in my tiger form. It helps me. I take care of this old couple and they always want me on my feet so when I go out in the forest I can fight or learn different techniques." She rambled on, not really making any sense.
Mae Gayson looked over at him. "What's that?" She whispered, not quite sure if she should ask or not. She cradled her head in her hand and looked over at him. She was always open to new fighting styles. She was feeling the lack of sleep hitting her hard. She tried to keep her eyes open but felt she looked like she was trying too hard. Her hair fell in her face and she blew it out of the way, frustrated with it.
Mae Gayson put her palm to her forehead. "Sorry. I haven't had any sleep lately." She said and scoffed at herself. She looked over at Tatsuki "Really? Anything cool?" She smiled trying to pull her into the conversation.
Mae Gayson looked back at Eli. "I would probably die if I went out into the forest." She let out a small laugh. "I would fall asleep on the way there." She giggled at Tatsuki figuring out what she was saying. "I am a big scary kitty cat" She mumbled before putting her head down on the table. Wake Up she told herself.
Mae Gayson laughed, her head still down on the table. "That sounds like fun. I might have to take you up on that offer." She smiled leaning back in her chair. She ordered a coffee, black. She sipped it quietly. "I really need to sleep better." She whispered more to herself than anyone else. She looked around at the group that had formed around her.
Mae Gayson continued drinking her coffee. "That might be good." She felt her lids slowly closing. Her head went back on the table. She would fall in and out of consciousness while at the bar. She knew that much. "Yep. I am a big kitty. It is a lot better than I thought it would be. I have so much freedom with them. I never had parents so they are the only ones I have had." She explained. "And I am Mae. Nice to meet you." She smiled up at Tatsuki before returning her head to the table again.
Mae Gayson could feel tension between the two, for she was sitting between them. "I am going to fall asleep at this bar." She said and picked herself up, waking up. "I can do this" She laughed a little. "Family sucks." She whispered to Tatsuki. She finished her coffee and looked at Eli's food. "That looks so good" She smelled the air.
Mae Gayson got up "I think I need to go home. It was nice to meet you though." She smiled at both of them and hopped off the stool.
The setting changes from gambits-bar to Dark Woods
Mae Gayson walked in the cool breeze next to Eli. "Do you live around here?" She asked trying to make small talk. Her hair was threatening to blow away from her ponytail. Her eyes scanned the forest for anything unfamiliar.
Mae Gayson "I know what that feels like." She said quietly. She felt more awake now that she was walking. She saw the tree with a strange branch and took a left at the fork. "I was like that for a very long time until I stumbled across this family. Well they more stumbled across me." She rambled on.
Mae Gayson "What did-" she said and stopped herself. She wasn't quite sure she wanted to know what he did. "I was sent to a school because of my shape shifting. It was horrible" She laughed. "I hated it forever and then I met my" she held up her fingers to make quotation marks "Family." She looked up at him and then back at the path. They were deeper in the forest now. "They used to keep us locked up in the school. Now I have a lot more freedom."
Mae Gayson let out a scoff. "That is good." She smiled and cocked her head to the side. She walked up to a large rock in the path. "This wasn't here before." She whispered looking around for someone near. She stood up straight and looked through the woods.
Mae Gayson glared at him. "No. Someone moved this. This is the only path to my house." She put a hand roughly on her hip. "Last time something was different, the store was had a burglary. I really don't feel like beating anyone up tonight" She continued down the path, her eyes picking out the broken tree branches.
Mae Gayson gave him a dirty look. "Tigers are pretty scary. Why do you think they chose me." She said feeling bad suddenly for becoming angry. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She continued walking.
Mae Gayson laughed and continued. She turned around, almost bouncing into him. She looked up at him. "Sorry. I sometimes get defensive." She whispered looking down ashamed.
