Nuka's Story

The thousand member was added to the door's shitlist.

It broke open, nearly shattering from the impact. A foot stuck out of it, high in the air, with a raggedy slipper on the end. Slowly, it came down, thumping with a raging force onto the ground. It brought in with it a rather tall, lanky, but reasonably muscular young man with a head of wild chestnut hair. He wore a rather baggy cloak with triangle patterns lining it, the hood gathered around his neck. His eyes were wilder than his hair, and upon his face was a smirk. His hands propped up onto the sword and scabbard he had balanced on his shoulders.

"Chuh! I thought I heard this place was pretty rowdy and exciting!" he said, fingers tapping on the colorful cyan sheathe on his shoulders. He rose that same foot again and planted it on a chair, narrowing his eyes and scratching the stubble on his chin.

"Looks like an ordinary shithole to me."

The man's eyes wormed to the other guy with the hoodie at the bar for a moment. His feet thumped as he walked toward him, tilting his head back. "Huh..." he mused, raising a brow. Didn't look like the guy was real lively. Probably not worth him time.

That's when the door opened, causing him to look back at the young man who had entered. The man with the sword cracked his neck and set his jaw.

"You don' look like you really mean anything you just said. So tell me, you any less dead than tall, dark, and creepy corpse over here?" he said to Cauncey.

The armed man turned briefly toward the hooded man, leaning forward in a lazy hunch. Even as he peered into the unsettling darkness, he simply itched an ear.

"The hell you lookin' at?" he muttered, sticking his bottom lip out and blowing a strand of hair out of his face. His attention shidted back to Chauncey.

"Not so much, eh? Well, if you wanna gamble that life o' yours I'm right here. Someone told me this place had a bunch of fights and a bunch of hot chicks! I don't see neither! Damn, I've been jipped!" he complained hooking his foot around a chair.

"Shadow demon? Hmph. Hardly a title if you ain't causin' any action." Nuka turned as he said this, and as he turned, he stopped.

A long, pleased whistle rang out through the bar as Nuka's eyes laid onto Raiko. "Well, whaddya know? This place is lookin' up!" he chuckled. He strut, with a grin, toward the girl.

"I'm likin' that language of yours. Got a name? Mine's Nuka."

Nuke turned back to the demon briefly once more and chuckled. "Yeah? Well you and I can go at it after I finish with this babe over here, alright?" he told him, sitting on the stool right next to the girl. He set his sword onto the counter and leaned his elbow over it.

"Raiko? Pretty sweet name. I'm likin' that too. I think I'm pretty much likin' everything about you. What's your poison? Got any drink you like? I'll treat for as many as you like!"

"Ch! If you father got anything to say then let him come! I'm hungry for some action!" he said to Raiko, the confident smirk ever-present upon his face. He propped his leg up on one of the wooden poles holding his stool legs together and leaned forward.

"I ain't afraid of nuthin', so order whatcha want, honey." he told her, head leaning to the side. His eyes flickered, coming to the woman who had come down the stairs. His thoughts wandered, but centered on Raiko.

It had been his second time in Gambit's. This man, who walked through the door with his wrists limp over his sword laid across his shoulders in a bright blue scabbard. It was of no make that was instantly familiar to what most people had seen before. The blade was slightly curved, but only at the end, and the hilt curled the opposite way, if only a bit. The man, however, did not seem that much of an oddity, with his brown-tanned skin, sparse stubble on his chin, and wild hair that was obviously uncared for. His limbs were long and lanky, but he had defined muscles. The thump of his feet were loud upon the floor.

"Well, would you look at this? Looks like the place finally picked up!" he said, eyes sweeping the bar with a wolfish grin. They slithered over the gypsy girl, Deja, the creepy chick, Antheia, and Sonja, the Asian.

"Hmm. She's hot, she's too young, and that chick's flat." he mumbled, scratching his stubble. He had not looked over anyone else. Not yet.

No one else mattered at the moment.

The man's fingers patted on his sword as he watched two of the girls fuss over some guy that was hurt. "Huh. Well, some kind of action he's gettin' there." he told himself, though none too silently, before walking further into the bar.

Who would he approach first? Well, seeing as all the other men in the bar were currently nonexistent, he approached Deja.

"That ain't the only peachy champagne drink in here, sweet cheeks." he told her smoothly, his head leaning to the side. His eyes passed over Markuss and Dyew for only a moment.

His look practically said, "Fuck off, this one's mine."

The man's nose wrinkled at Markuss' comment, but not in offence. "Pfft. She won't be gettin' any results if she tries. Plus, I doubt she's like that. You're sayin' that 'cuz you want her for yourself. Bastard. I know this game."

As Deja spoke, the corner of his lip lifted up. Another smirk. "You're trynna be smart. It ain't workin', honey, cuz you're the only dime in this whole place and that's the only thing speakin' to me."

Nuka set his jaw as Markuss backed off.

"Frikin'...coward..." he said to himself, though he felt pleased. A sort of male dominance thing, really. He looked back to Deja and shrugged. "Any to ruin? I'm not following. Ain't no other women in here at all." He nodded his head back to the two others.

"One's a kid and the other's got nothing to show. That leaves only one option."

Nuka could not help but feel pleased. "Heh! I knew you couldn't hold out for long! They all come cryin' eventually." he said to her, a hand digging into his pocket for what money he had stolen earlier.

That's when a loud bang sounded off from outside, and the clang of metal caught the man's attention. His head twisted around to look toward the door, and his wild eyes widened in excitement.

"Hahah! Looks like we got to settle this another time, sweety pie. Something else is callin' my name right now!" he cried to her, bolting out the door. However, he came right back in, pointing at Markuss. "Wuss! Don't you get any ideas! She's mine next time I get a chance!"

And then he was gone again, the door swinging from the force of his departure.

He had not been there since his first visit in a week. The lad did not care. He had been busy, but now he was relatively free with his time, so where else would such a lad go?

Coming into Gambit's was a rather tall, lanky, but reasonably muscular young man. He had a head of wild, uncombed hair, and his eyes reflected both a sharp wit and a foolishness seen in most youth. He wore a rather baggy cloak with triangle patterns lining it, the hood gathered around his neck. Upon his face was a smirk. His hands propped up onto the sword and scabbard he had balanced on his shoulders.

"Nearly as empty as last time. Hmn."

As someone brushed by him, the man sneered, thoughts of beating up the guy who came too close running through his mind. However, as he watched a young lady pass him, his sneer turned into a half smirk.

A rather devilish half smirk.

Walking over to the counter where she had sat down, he reached out a foot and drew out a chair for himself, landing his backside ungracefully into it before placing his sword on the counter. He hooked the same foot onto a groove under the counter and leaned both himself and the stool back.

"Ain't much you see someone in such a hurry to get to a counter. You must be desperate to get stoned."

"Jesus?" asked Nuka, raising a brow. "Hey, I heard of that guy! Lots of people like to cry out his name. Must be a popular guy."

It was only because he was not from anywhere like earth that Nuka did not know. That, and his general ignorance caused the comment to stumble from his mouth.

"Psh. If me sittin' beside ye startled ye then why the hell are you in a bar? Like this? You must like the scare, sweet pea, I swear." he said, hands behind his head.

"Join the fun?" Nuka grinned, narrowing his eyes. "Hell yeah. What else is this place good for?"

"He's part of a religion?" he asked, raising a brow. With another shrug, the man's stool cam forward, back on all four legs, like it was supposed to be. He lifted a finger and dialed in an order for himself.

"Oh. Me? Quiet? Pfft." A half appropriate response, because Nuka was one of the least quiet men that he knew. That a lot of people knew.

Nuka had a bottle of beer set before him. A rather ugly, dull bottle. Not that it was the bottle that mattered. It was what was inside of it.

Popping the top with his thumbnail, Nuka looked toward Fora, eyes searching her. "I'll be doing more than pickin' you up." he said to her. In the very least, he was honest. Nuka did not lie if there was no point in it.

Nuke raised his beer bottle, smiling a bit wider as she spoke. "Alright. Yeah. To drunkness." he said, lowering the bottle to his lips.

Before he could take a sip, however, his forehead was smashed onto the counter. A pale hand gripped the back of hi head, keeping him there.

Out onto the street was a young man. He was certainly taller than the young woman that was on the street, to be sure, and few years her senior, to top. He was a rather tall, lanky, but reasonably muscular young man with a head of wild chestnut hair. He wore a baggy cloak with triangle patterns lining it, the hood gathered around his neck. His eyes were wilder than his hair, and upon his face was a smirk. His hands propped up onto the sword and scabbard he had balanced on his shoulders.

"Hmph." he said, tapping his fingers onto the scabbard. "I keep hearin' Wing City's got lotsa action! I ain't got jack shit outta this place yet. I've been jipped." he complained, just before spotting the girl down the road. He snorted.

"Yeah, first chick I've seen all day and she's a flat as a board."

Nuka just nearly looked taken aback, but all too soon a wicked smirk painted across his face. "Heh! Whassat? Gettin' mad, flattie?" he taunted, trotting up to walk alongside her. He was a good foot taller, if not a bit more. "I don't see you doin' much more about it than talk back! What, got nothin' in ye?"

Of course, the man was at ease, making no real effort to go and attack her. He was teasing, mostly. She was the only one in sight for what felt to be miles, though they were just on Main Street.

"Can't find water in a desert." he replied, flicking his sheathed sword down into the sash onto his waist, where it sat snugly. He peered at the young girl from the corner of his eye. "You're right about bein' big and strong...and then some." he commented smugly. He watched the large smile with caution. He knew dangerous women.

"So, whats a shorty like you doin' in Wing City? Not sure you can pick a fight, but I could be wrong. This ain't a place for people who can't do nuthin' for themselves, you know."

Nuka's jaw set. He let out a brief laugh. "Hmph. Feisty words for a lil' shrimp." he said, drumming his fingers on his sword. He was not itching so much to use them- not against this girl, in any case. That would downplay his masculinity.

And...even when the three energy blades shot into the air...he was pretty sure it'd still look fairly sad...

...yeah...

"Well, if someone would come out and fight me already then maybe I'll be able to figure out what kinda place this is already." he shot back. "Someone a bit more my own size, though." He gave her a smirk.

The young man rose a brow at the white-haired girl. He chewed upon his cheek in contemplation. "Crazy ass freaks out there..." he mumbled to himself, resting his hand between his sword hilt and his hip. He stretched his arm behind his back, and his spine cracked several times before he straightened up again.

"I ain't for fightin' little girls with imaginary balls of steel." he said, folding his hands behind his head. He looked ready for a nap.

"If you wanna try, go ahead, though. I promise you'll get more than you bargained for."

"Fine day for a walk, but I really don't see the POINT in you carrying me around in the sun! Another water bottle NOW, Damian! I'm going to dry out!"

The kappa croaked atop Damian's shoulders, wearing a rather large sunhat with a pink ribbon on the top. The kappa had not agreed with the blonde man's taste, but he did not have much in the way of choice when he was turning into a raisin frog. He rested his chin atop the man's head and frowned. "I want a fish tank. And I want fish. And I want to eat the fish. I also want cucumbers." he told Damian
