Name: Brother Paladin Pravius Kyrarus

Age: 373

Faction: Imperial Of Man

Chapter: Grey Knights

Rank: Paladin

War gear:
Nemesis Force Halberd- As ancient in design and purpose as the Grey Knights themselves, Nemesis Force Halberds are finely-crafted polearms with long, curved blades and sturdy hafts. A Grey Knight can easily use such a weapon one-handed in short deadly chops. However, the weapon becomes even more dangerous should he wield it two-handed.

Wrist Mounted Astartes Psycannon - An ancient weapon whose manufacturing process has long been lost to the Imperium, the Psycannon was specially designed for the Grey Knights. Psycannons always use Psybolt ammunition and incorporate special anti-gravitic suspensors which reduce their weight and make them easier to fire on the move.

Aegis Terminator Armour

Frag Grenades and Krak Grenades

Psyk-Out Grenades

The Codicium Aeternum- This dread tome contains the Grey Knights and Ordo Malleus' knowledge on many of the daemons the organisations have faced and defeated in the long millennia of their existence. In the tome's madness-stained pages reside knowledge and calculations on where and when various daemons will manifest again and the means by which they can be defeated.

The Liber Daemonica- A copy of this arcane book, the Liber Daemonica, its contents drawn from material taken from the Librarium Daemonica on Titan along with the ancient battle rites of the Grey Knights Chapter, is carried into battle by every single Grey Knight, in a compartment in his armour's chest plate. The Liber Daemonica is an enduring symbol of a Grey Knight's devotion to his mission, and contains the cardinal tenets of anti-daemonic lore culled from the dark knowledge caged within the Sanctum Sanctorum's walls. The books themselves are also potent psychic talismans in their own right, with pages illuminated in silver and bound to a spine carved from the thigh bone of a martyred saint of the Imperial Cult. The book is also represented in the Grey Knights' iconography, on the chest plate and pauldron of both their Power Armour and Tactical Dreadnought Armour. It is a symbol of the greatest weapon of Mankind against the Forces of Chaos -- an unshakable faith in the Emperor of Mankind.

Psyker Powers:

The Shrouding - Through prayer and the combined gestalt psychic power of the Grey Knights, they are able to blind their enemies to their location through their sheer faith in the Emperor and the power from the Warp this faith can draw. This protects them from ranged attacks and enhances their stealth. The Shrouding extends out around the Grey Knight in a 20 meter radius and makes those within it hazy and indistinct when viewed from without whilst not restricting the vision of those within it.

Holocaust - Units of Grey Knights Terminators are able to make use of the Holocaust psychic power as a whole. A group of Grey Knights can harness their collective psychic powers to manifest this ability as long as the entire group remains focused on the manifestation. If successful, a Grey Knights Terminator can incinerate opponents at close range using this power. It is a manifestation of the hate the Grey Knights feel for the daemonic, and is completely capable of burning a Daemon's physical body to ash. This power is especially terrifying because whatever is destroyed by the Holocaust power dies in the Warp as well, its spirit extinguished like a candle. It can burn the souls of mortals to nothing and can banish Daemons as if they were but a bad dream. This power is a lesser version of the extraordinary final burst of psychic power used by the Emperor of Mankind Himself to snuff out the soul of Horus in the Warp at the end of the Horus Heresy during the final battle on Horus' Battle Barge, the Vengeful Spirit.

Purge Soul - The psyker draws upon every ounce of willpower he possesses to purge the evil of his foes' souls, scouring every trace of corruption even if it destroys them in the process.

Hammerhand - Focusing the raging power of their minds, Grey Knights and other psykers trained in this skill can augment the already prodigious might of
themselves and their Battle-Brothers. Even unarmed, such warriors can crush flesh and bone -- given blade or hammer there is little limit to what they can slay.

Feats: For a Paladin he must complete eight quests to establish his character and cause. First, the He spent day and a night in the haunted caverns beneath Mount Anarch on Titan without losing sanity or purpose. He then had to match his will against the unsleeping evil of the dread tome Abbiallach, which lies chained in the Chapter fortress-monastery's Sanctum Sanctorum. His mental fortitude thus tested, Pravius then was called upon to prove his strength at arms. He made a pilgrimage to Lansel's Tomb on the doomed moon of Tethys, bearing no armour to preserve him from the Warp-spawned beasts trapped there. He then searched and delivered a deathblow to each of the four types of Daemon Herald in service to the Chaos Gods, returning with a horn or tooth from each to proving his victory. Four more quests are there, each more gruelling than the last, with the final one being the most difficult of all. Pravius huned down and banished one of the six hundred and sixty-six most powerful daemons to ever manifest in the mortal realm, armed only with his Nemesis Force Sword and the beast's true name, gleaned from the pages of the Iron Grimoire. After his quest was complete he became a Paladin.

So begins...

The Imperial Guard forces under assault on all sides did not falter, each knew their duty and they served this duty well. Their duty was to push back the Shadow Legion, at all costs even if it meant their lives. Their duty was to defend Terra, and its people. And they refused to retreat to allow the enemy to claim the city for their devilish schemes.

Imperial Guardsman and Imperial Armor continued to open fire, despite the enemy Shadow Commandos, soon enough Imperial Stromtroopers began to hit the field. Or rather, they made their presence known. With Hot-shot las-guns capable of easily shredding power armor. These elite, and well trained soldiers began to focus of the Shadow Commandos with their own well trained skills.

Lemen Russ tanks continued to fire upon enemy positions, however soon enough more Varients of Lemen Russ Battle tanks entred the picture. Lemen Russ Punisher Tank, armed with the Punisher Gatling Cannon, a large, multi-barrelled ballistic weapon, it is known as one of the fastest-firing slug throwers in the Imperium's arsenal. It began to let rip upon the swarms of the Shadow Legion. With the amount of slugs being fired, the Shadow Legion would find their numbers being shred to ribbons with ease, even the Commandos with their unnatural agility would be hard pressed to survive for more than a second if they were caught in their sights.

Of course, even without the Emperors presence in the field, the souls of the soldiers that fell this day did not go to the Shadow Legion but to the Emperor himself. His presence a security for the soldiers, each one that fell they would go to to his side instead off being damned to the Shadow Legion.

Meanwhile in the centre of the city, as the Strike squad continued to terminate the Minotaurs they had succeded in their mission. "Execute Deep strike brothers. Beachhead is clear." The Senior Captain spoke as the arrival of more Grey Knights came in. The most deadly Marines that Draco's own lover had fault before and suffered injury that still afflicted her this day.

Grey Knight Terminators, all led by a Paladin. One that has survived the greatest trials, to become the greatest warrior in the name of the Emperor and for his brothers of the Grey Knights. Brother Paladin Pravius. Along with a contingent of four Grey Knight Terminators. For almost any army, this small squad could barley pass as reinforcements. However these warriors were veterans of hundreds of battles, possessed grand Psychic might, and with their armor that not even Titans can hope to kill them quickly.

The will of the Emperor made manifest. "To the righteous we bring hope. To the tainted we bring fire! In the name of the Emperor let none survive!" His voice roared across the city. Their presence an even greater pain to nearby servants of the Shadow Legion. Their target, the leader in charge of the invasion.

Of course they did not come alone, Grey Knight Purifiers armed with Nemisis-Force Hammers appeared along with Grey Knight Purgation squads and Interceptors accompanied by a Grey Knight Librarian. However the Paladin leading the Terminators began to make way to the Shadow Legion commander.

The troopers of the TLA where a stubborn and determined group. Outgunned, outnumbered it didn't matter they would fight on to death and beyond if they must. Even as brothers and sisters in arms fell the ever dwindling group of Terrans pushed forward with the Imperium tide.

Though depleted in number the banshee wing fought on there was good reason the Terra Nova command called the all female corps of Banshee pilots crazy bitches. Weaving though enemy fire they continued thier aerial assault.

The Vikings still held thier ground a line of defense in front of the Imperium cannons.

The commander then got a hail on his comm...

"This is Terra Nova Command. Message received. It will take some time to organize a full force but we got you a little gift. Enjoy. Command out."
Image
A few seconds later a Shadow commando no longer had a head. An elite Terra Nova Ghost had arrived the psychic assassin an army to herself. The invisible killer with her high powered gun capable of blowing holes in tanks scored kill after kill rallying the Terrans.

"We are the Sons and Daughters of Terra! Stand fast! Stand strong! Stand together! For Terra!" Came a rallying cry.

"For Terra!" Came a chorus of voices.

The Commando who found his head blown off would crumple into the ground, and the entire regiment of Commandos would suddenly shudder as they collectively learned of a new threat to their existence. After a few seconds the Headless Commando's body would suddenly launch into the air, regrowing his head before landing into a squad of Guardsman, his sub-machine gun roaring out .500 Magnum rounds as fast as it could; the recoil reduced to next to nothing by the strength of the arms holding the gun.

It was until the cloaked person made her presence known with a rallying cry that the Commandos didn't react to her presence otherwise. Each one she felled only getting back up, and becoming harder to shoot as they learned where she liked to aim, and how to protect that area of the body with movements or by moving behind something and thus blocking the line of sight. When the rallying cry was heard, the entirety of the Commando Regiment swiveled on their heels and darted for the source of the noise at inhuman speeds.

Most super soldiers could move at over fifty miles an hour on foot, they made that seem slow. Darting through crowds of soldiers, the TLA Super Soldier would very quickly find her position compromised, and if she did not relocate, she would be over run within seconds, and then systematically hunted down like a dog until she was killed.

As the Commandos took their leave from the regular battle to hunt down the TLA commando-woman, a massive Bolt of Lightning struck the center of town, and the ground rumbled as the sky lit up with fire. The air turned cold and shook before a massive thunder clap was heard, and before the Grey Knights stood another foe:

The Shadow Guard

Tall, strong, Broad Creatures, with skin ranging from Purple to Blue to Black, and even White appeared before the Grey Knights. They bore the Mark of their master: Draco, on the chest-plates of their Drakon-Forged Duradaeden. Females of this species of creature were tall, slender, and extremely beautiful, with supple lips and soft features that would make most human men fawn over them, however they were not here to protect or make friends with men. They were hear to carry out their Master's Orders: Drive out those who dare interfere with the expansion of the Darkness, and see that they will not return.

The Largest Shadow Guard slammed the end of his Raw Duradaeden hammer upon the ground, resting his hands upon the handle as he examined the battlefield before him. A mighty and glorious beard hung from his jaw, massive horns extended back around his head as his broad forehead made him only more imposing; pure white eyes narrowing. A tail lined with Spikes running up the center of the back twitched idly behind him, almost touching the ground with its length. With a grunt, the order was given, and the Shadow Guard went into the battle.

Many of them were Close-Range, Melee fighters, using their own Varients of Magic to boost their own abilities, armor, and weapons to match the Grey Knights in combat one for one. They were reserved in emotion and did not waste any movement; every strike lead to another technique, whether it be a block, dodge, parry, or another strike. One strike from their hammers could collapse buildings with ease, and could cleave and smash through dozens of normal mortal men in a single swing.

From the back, A female Shadow Guard chanted her Magic; Horns alight with mystic energies as the clouds overhead darkened further, and began to rumble with thunder and Lightning. A great Bolt of Lightning struck her Staff, the Crystal in the top glowing madly with White and Purple Light.

Lowering her Staff, her eyes flashed brightly and she finished her chant. Bolts of Lightning came crashing down upon the Artillery and Support Vehicles of the Imperial Guard as well as the TLA. These bolts, being magically charged, made a normal bolt of lightning seem like child's play. Each bolt caused an explosion equivalent to that of a 2000 pound bomb as well as creating a fire that would spread quickly. On top of that, electronics would likely begin to short-circuit or fry out as she drew any and all Electric power into her own body in order to channel it into her magic. Approaching her in any way, be it physical or through Projectiles, would prove to be nigh impossible, as lightning raced in arcs around her body forming a sort of barrier within which she would remain safe.

The majority of the heavy combat between the Shadow Guard and the Grey Knights would inevitably come down to who was the more experienced, and therefore who was the better fighter, as at the moment the Shadow Guard would be able to match nearly everything the Grey Knights could do in one way or another.

The Grey Knights would soon encounter a new enemy, it would appear that they were sending some of their best creatures to try and stop their advance. An order was not needed to be said for the Grey Knight Terminators and the Paladin, With Psycannon and Storm Bolters at the ready, these five elite warriors aimed ahead as they were faced with their new foe.

Blessed Bolts were fired at the The Shadow Guard, a slow but purposeful march to close in in melee combat to tear them asunder with their Nemisis-Force weaponry. Their Halberds were ready. For the Psycannon, Psybolt ammunition was loaded into the weapon, silver-tipped, psychically charged shells that when fired, each bolt becomes imbued with a portion of a Grey Knight's innate psychic power, causing it to glow with an eerie blue light, and strike home with significantly greater force than an ordinary round of its type.

Of course the ammunition of the Storm Bolters were also the same for the Terminators. Their mind ready to resist any sort of mental attack, their Aegis Terminator Armor capable of resisting getting crushed by the largest war machines in the Imperium with little more than a scratch. They were ready to bring death upon their enemy, on the Emperors name they would defend this city and cleanse every last creature. Even if they have to resort in its destruction if they must be forced.

The Many Grey Knights in the area, cleansing the last of the Lesser Fiends began to march with the Veterans, these warriors all ready to bring death upon their enemy. Hammers, Swords, Psychic powers, Even warding barriers and Purity seals. Their combined might became a massive psychic choir. Many of these warriors had seen many battles, many wars. Each one were considered Hero's in the Imperium. They knew no fear, nor did they know of defeat. Each Warrior did not waste any uneccecary motion as well. With each warrior that clashed, their power and psychic might clashed through their own body.

For the Imperial Guard forces, more Guardsman continued to fall, More armored vehicles continued to fall but each soldier continued to fight with even more ferocity. The Vehicles that would suffer any sort of system failure, onboard Tech Priests began to pray to the Machine spirit. To strengthen its protection and deny the witch. The effect would be less damnable, especially for aircraft in the air but their efficiency was lowered.

Of course, soon enough the events taking place gathered the attention of the Imperial Fleet in orbit. Without wasting time, orbital lasers bombarded the Shadow Legion forces outside the city delivering much needed orbital firepower to incinerate whatever was caught under their wrath. For now, they planned to take back the city in one piece.

The Ghost had not uttered a single word and even if she had been the one making the rally call she would have long been gone as she moved every few shots to keep her position unknown.
The Shadow commandos would only open themselves up for attack as they foolishly rushed towards what they thought was the Ghost as the TLA forces where playing support to the Imperium the Shadow commandos would have to make their way though the bulk of the imperial guard to even get to the TLA forces.
This reckless move plus the fact that they came in mass opened them up to the rocket troopers of the TLA who would fire thier Hellfire Rockets into the Shadow commandos. These weapons on contact with do two things... One blow the commandos to bits and two set fire to the bits preventing any kind of regeneration.
The Ghost would also switch to Hellfire Rounds which upon hitting her target would make them burst into flames and like the rocket version would prevent any regeneration.
The mages within the trooper ranks would unleash spells of fire and acid upon the Shadow commandos for the same effects as the Hellfire weapons.

The Terra Nova may be just human but they had many tricks up thier sleeves and where trained to adapt to even the most hellish of situations.

Upon finding nothing the Shadow Commando's resumed their onslaught of the TLA and the Guardsman. Each Commando lost would still resume fighting, the Shadows smothering out fires and then regenerating regardless. As usual, each Commando became harder to hit and thus harm, or kill, with each regeneration. TLA Wizards became Top Priority, Tendrils of Shadow reaching out from their own Shadows to harass them while the Commandos moved in to finish them off with their sub-machine guns or blades.

Sensing a cloaked enemy, one of the Shadow Guard females in the back line by the center slammed her staff upon the ground, a pulse of energy expanding outwards before she turned to the techno-mancer and nodded, pointing to the TLA Shadow, sending out another pulse of Magic. This pulse would likely reveal the locations of any other hidden enemies of the Shadow Legion. The Techno-mancer chanted a spell, and that which kept each cloaked person cloaked would more than likely short out, and reveal them to the Legion, which in turn would immediately pounce with droves of Hounds.

The Shadow Guard fighting with the Grey Knights would eventually bolster themselves to the point where the advance of the Grey Knights was stopped. Each party was dead-locked and a smile stretched across the Shadow Guard-member's faces; they were enjoying this opportunity to finally fight worthy opponents! Their weapons began to glow Purple with Magic, this Magic increasing the power of each strike by causing explosions to occur each time the weapons struck a target in order to cause more damage, and begin to try and push back the Grey Knights.

From the sky descended orbs of pure Shadow, the Black and Purple Obs would prove to be immaterial; pure Magic and thus unable to be affected by normal physical means of assault used by both the TLA and Guardsman. From these orbs were deployed more and more Droves of Legion Soldiers, as well as even more Screaming Minotaurs, which with their agonizing fury, would begin to carve through the enemies who dared stand against the Shadow Legion's annexation of Ridgecrest. From these orbs also would be more Arcs of Lightning from the Female Shadow Guard; each one still as strong as a 2000 pound bomb as they struck home on Imperial and TLA forces, the explosions causing craters and sending out shock waves.

Finally the leader of the Shadow Guard spoke, his voice booming over the chaos of battle:

"Imperial Guardsman and Grey Knights, and TLA Combatants! Hear me! You face the Glorious Shadow Legion and the Impenetrable Shadow Guard! I give you these choices: Fight and die with Honor, Join us, and become part of the Legion! Or surrender and be slaughtered like animals when we catch you. You may say these are hardly choices, and you are correct. For our Lord Draco is not one for Mercy. We are here to expand his empire, and you will NOT be able to stop us!

He hefted his Massive Hammer into the Air, chanting a Battle-Chant that increased the speed, power, and Durability of all in the Legion and Shadow Guard. Totems appeared around his body, representing each Blessing he bestowed upon his Allies, as well as one providing him with a protective barrier so that he would not be interrupted in his Chanting; his body glowing with an unearthly purple as the ground around him shook and rubble began to lift from the ground.

The Grey Knights would be at a standstill against the enemy as they began to try to push them back, as the Shadow Guards weapons began to glow purple, the Grey Knights weapon would gloew blue as they channeled their psychic might into each clash. Desite their bladed weapons not causing any splash damage, their own blades with their psychic might would begin to chip away at the enemies weapons.

Their Protective psychic barrier protected them from the explosive damage, and their Aegis Power Armor ensured that they gave no ground to their enemy. As the Grey Knights continued to battle, they noted the unholy chanting and the increase of power in the Shadow Guard. Guardsman in the front lines of course noted increasing enemy reinforcements which Orbital fire began to vaporize entire hordes, they continued to hold their ground even as more Guardsman were blown up by the magical lighting, Tanks hit would note plenty of damage but continued their fight even if most of their tank was reduced to rubble.

Of course the Shadow Legion was not the only one with supportive abilities. The Grey Knight Librarian nearby all his brothers as they fought began to chant holy prayers channeling the height of his psychic mind. "We are the Might of Titan! We bring destruction to the enemies of the Emperor! We are the edge of the Emperors sword! We do not fear no man or creature or demon! We are the Grey Knights!" The Space Marine spoke as the Grey Knights Power and Movements improved drastically.

With The Might of Titan, summoning up the power of the Chapter's ancestors and calling on the sacred genetic heritage which all Battle-Brothers possess, the Grey Knight Librarian began to harden muscles and boost the strength of those allies in close proximity to him. Along with this he casted Minblades, The Grey Knight imbued the blades and other melee weapons of his allies with unerring accuracy and the ability to seek out even the smallest of chinks in their foes' armour, any small weakness the enemy had would be exploited in full force. Finally the Librarian cast Quicksilver, Quickened by the Grey Knights Librarian's uncanny mind, his fellow Grey Knights' reflexes are increased to an uncanny speed and swiftness.

With reflexes to already gauge an enemy formation, to block bullets fired upon them, and strong enough to tear open tanks. The Entire Grey Knight collective gathered together began to push back in force against the Shadow Guard. Blows would be lethal and quick, their defenses improved greated to block and counter the Shadow Guard. They may have buffed up but the Grey Knights began to fight with even greater ferocity.

In the Center of the fighting the Grey Knight Paladin alongside Purifiers and Terminators where gathered in the thick of the enemy. With his Nemisis-Force Halberd and his great Psychic potential. His Strikes easily capable of destroying Greater Demons in one blow would fell even the elite Shadow Guard with ease. Shattering both weapon and armor if needed. "We do not fear the demon! We will purge this city of these vile ilk in the name of the Emperor brothers! Face the Emperors wrath!" Pravius roared as the Grey Knights pressed the attack.

  1. The profile in question (Angel of Terra) needs to detail (even minimally if anything) the powers in which this character possesses, especially if they are to be used in a combative sense or to affect multiple characters in such an event as this. In addition to this, remember for larger scenes: number of posts must typically equal number of players to impact the location.

"Enough!" Shouted a voice from the sky as a girl with six wings appeared in the air. "To long has your shadow tainted the land. I am the Angel of Terra! I am the tears and blood of those you have mindlessly slain! I am judgement and retribution! And I will wipe you from my Holy Land!"

Great waves of pure holy light came down from the angel it's power healing and protecting the warriors of the TLA and Imperium. But any Shadows caught in the waves would feel the fury of godlike flame ripping them to the very core.

A new and powerful protector was born and her crusade was just beginning...

"Such Corruption... Such Darkness. It must be put to an end."

Nymeth the Shadowling, the Legion, and the Shadow Guard all shuddered collectively. Something big was coming. Something powerful enough to shake fear into the battle-hardened, and already terrifying enemy of the Imperium. Even as the annoyance known as the Angel of Terra used her magic to burn the Legion, fighting continued, albeit suddenly the Grey Knights and Guardsman began to make headway, pushing the Legion back quickly.

Shadow Commandos lept into the Alleyways they'd come from, the Shadow Guard would launch devastating kicks in an effort to knock back the Grey Knights long enough to turn back towards their portal and leave, and the Shadow Legion simply began to die. Slowly it became a mass of unending Black Sludge, undulating and smoldering all at the same time while still retaining a liquid, gelatinous form that raced for the Alleys and Storm-Drains.

"And an end will come."

The very air and ground rumbled and shook as a great roar echoed across the land; the Roar of a Dragon. Not of Draco, but of something much more powerful. One not too keen on the presence of the Shadow Legion. A beam of Golden Light arced down from the sky, landing in the dead-center of the Shadow Legion Forces, vaporizing them on contact. Irral, the First Son, had arrived.

As the beam of Golden Light faded, Irral stood fully in his Armor, the Twelve Foot-Tall Human form of the First Dragon born from the Light herself lowering his gaze upon the Shadows of the Legion. His hand slowly raised to the Lance upon his back, drawing it and settling into a stance.

All was still.

Before a Shadow could Screech and attack, the Lance pierced its mouth, spearing straight through it and into the chest of another Shadow. Within seconds Irral was dog-piled by the Shadows, but all he did was open a hand, a ball of Holy Draconian Light expanding from it, blasting the Shadows away from his body and vaporizing them as he then twirled his Lance around his body quickly, creating a light breeze likely felt by many in the area from how quickly he spun it. With it he sliced through every minion the Shadow Legion sent at him, Minotaurs were cast aside, Shadows torn asunder, Commandos ended entirely, and Watchers dispersed. Nymeth the Shadowling herself narrowly escaped decapitation, fading into the Shadow of her cloak, leaving Irral standing alone as the Shadow Legion continued to squelch and attempt to leave the area.

Slowly, the Dragon of Corrupted Light turned, facing the TLA and Imperium; looking upon them with a discerning gaze. He paid no mind to the Angel, her power actually helping him, holding back the inherent Corruption within his own body and Magic. "I commend you all for your efforts against the Legion of Shadows...... but I'm afraid you are too late; if they are here, then Draco has claimed this land as his own...." his Lance was in a relaxed, but ready position within his right hand as his head turned to gaze over the area, watching the remaining Shadows try to attack from the flanks of Guardsman Positions. "I recommend you all leave now.... so I may Cleanse this land of its Corruption." he lifted his Left Hand, the fingers curled into a Claw as an orb of Golden Light Swirled in his palm, corrupted by the faintest tinge of Purple. Retribution; Irral's most powerful combative Spell. He would find a way to use it to cleanse an area of Darkness; this would prove to be an excellent testing ground.

As the Shadow Legion withdrew from the area, Imperial Guard forces hunkered down slowly approached forward or held defensive positions for those that advanced forward. Heavy weapons were being reloaded, fresh energy packs were being inserted into las-guns, and armor held their tactical positions. They slowly approached the city with steady hands ready to fire if required.

However the Grey Knights were another story. They were outraged that a unknown being dares to step in and make them leave. This was their task for the Emperor, they would be the ones to purge the area. And they would never allow a xeno to dare say to leave the area.

The Paladin, Pravius marched forward. "Cease your tongue xeno! We will not leave this area. We will be the ones to purify this area in the Emperors name! We do not require your aid, we do not require the aid of the false deity that has also appeared! We are the defenders of humanity and you are not needed. We have this area under our control. We will purify this area without your aid xeno!" The Paladin stated before turning to the Grey Knights gathered. They decided to work quickly before the Imperial Guard appeared. They were already channeling their psychic might, ready to commence purification of this area and the land.

The Terra Nova forces regrouped those few of the recon force left as well as what was left of the Vikings and Banshees. The Ghost took command of the ragged group as they worked to heal wounded and repair damaged vehicles. There was victory but at great cost.

The Angel of Terra sighed upon hearing the words of the Imperium Leader. "Can you not see we are all on the same side here?" She asked.

"Don't waste your breath Angel they are too blinded by their self righteousness to listen to truth. What we came here for is gone now and we have no desire to stay here and help the Imperium start another war." Spoke the Ghost

The Ghost turned to her men "Let's get the hell out of here shall we?"

As the Terra Nova troops made ready to leave the Angel of Terra went towards the Imperium " Can't you see that your bigotry and arrogance turns the very people you claim to protect against you?"

The blade of Irral's Lance was at the throat of the Paladin within the blink of an eye, the orb of Magic growing larger, the Corrupted Purple of his magic more prominent as his rage was stirred by the man's words. Slowly tilting the blade upwards, Irral hoped gaze upon the entirety of the man's face, using the blade to direct the man's head to either side. Of course this action would draw retaliatory action from the Grey Knights, or at least a set-up action as they took aim at him for daring to lash out at their leader. Ignoring this, Irral stepped forwards, his face only scant feet away from that of the Paladin's.

"Humans.... your kind has always been brash and Arrogant; why the All-Mother insists upon protecting your kind I will not know. But I do not have to follow her rules if I so choose...." Golden eyes glowed beneath the visor of his helmet, peering into the eyes of the human at the end of his Lance, seeming to stare into his soul. "If humans knew what was good for them, they would hold their tongues; Now then. I give you this choice: Leave and live. Tell your Emperor your efforts were made to look like child's-play and suffer the humiliation of that knowledge. Or attack me, and be cleansed, yourselves." Irral raised the ball of energy in his hand. Any sudden hostile movements would not end well for the Grey Knights. This Dragon did not fear them; even Draco would consider them a threat.

Irral did not.

The Dragon of Corrupted Light was eerily still; almost statuesque with how still he was, the blade of his Lance mere millimeters away from the throat of the Paladin known as Pravius. "Think carefully of your next Action, Human. Draco and his forces are mere children and insects to me; consider what makes you."

Pravin glared at the dragon as it dared raise his lance to him. It did not help that the false diety was taking to them as well. "I do not fear you xeno. Nor do my brothers fear you as well. You dare train your weapon against me?...You Xenos are all the same, arrogence blinds you all." His gaze turned to the angel in the skies. "We do not need to listen to the likes of you angel. Your kind has done enough. You all sit back and degrade humanity and mortals. We are the ones who fight for the people, not you. So silence your tongue!"

The Paladins gaze soon return to Irral. "I have faced threats that has said the same and destroyed them...We will not withdraw from this area, we are not afraid of you. We will purge you all the same like the Shadow Legion rabble, as with all that oppose the Imperium. We would have slain you already but our Emperor has forbidden us to kill damnable Xenos unless you prove to be a threat...by all means keep your lance raised...I will be glad to end your kind..." The Paladin glared as he stared right at Irral.

The Grey Knights in the area of course were ready to strike in the blink of an eye, with their Nemisis-Force weapons and their psychic might. They had no qualms either about killing Irral.

The Terra Nova had nothing more to say as they loaded aboard thier transports and began to leave. They would not be caught up in the shit storm that was brewing.

The Angel of Terra just shook her head " Dig your own grave then Imperium" she said shaking her head again she would fade from view though her voice spoke one last thing to Irral...
" I thank you for your aid...."

"Such predictability. Such folly. When will they ever learn?" Irral spoke in Draconian, an exasperated, annoyed sigh in his voice. All was still once more, then suddenly his hand expanded, and the sphere of Magic expanded with it, forming a bubble around Irral and the Grey Knights slowly. After expanding to a ten meter radius, Irral's hand clenched into a fist, and everything within the bubble, including himself, would be brutally and mercilessly hammered by a series of Holy Draconian Light Bolts which would explode on contact. They moved incredibly fast, so fast that even Irral couldn't dodge them if he tried; so he didn't. He took each and every bolt that hit him, while simultaneously flourishing his Lance, in an effort to behead the paladin, whose throat was mere millimeters away from his Lance's Blade. The Light Array lasted for a good ten seconds, and when it was done, everything that hadn't been destroyed was covered in pure Gold. Thus was the fun part of Draconian Light Magic; it either sounded like harps, or made everything Pure Gold.

Irral's usually did neither nowadays.

Dropping to the ground in a low stance, Irral's left hand, his Magic hand, was held in a fist with his index and Ring fingers extended as if to shush someone, while his Lance Hand held the Lance out to the side, arm slightly bent so that it could be moved quickly. Of course, Irral was counting on his over-confident enemy to have survived or dodged his Light Array, so he went on the attack immediately. One thing that the Grey Knights would immediately notice, was that Irral, unlike Draco, was not constrained to a limit of how much power he could call upon while in his Human form. He was going all out, all the time.

Irral moved with blinding speed, not even comprehend-able to the average Human Eye, but to these Grey Knights, he was likely a blur, or just slower. Either way, his sheer speed would prove to be a key factor in his battle against the slow-moving battle-armor of the Imperium of Man. He moved first to the closest Grey Knight, appearing briefly in front of him before darting off to the side, to the one farthest away from him, aiming a sweep of the legs with his Lance. His his Draconian Strength, knocking even a mountain to the side would be little issue to him, so one could only imagine what would happen if the shaft of his Lance struck home into the upper leg of the Grey Knight he was assaulting. If his sweep was successful, and the Grey Knight was rendered airborn by his sudden change in incline, Irral would raise his Lance, aiming to stab straight through the chest of the Knight, his Blessed Duradaeden Lance humming with Draconian Blessings of Speed and Strength, allowing it to cut through even the strongest of metals like butter.

If his Stab and Sweep were avoided entirely, Irral's assault would not end; sensing the build up of Psychic Powers, he would spin in a circle, his body Igniting in a Corrupted Phoenix Cloak of Golden Fire tainted with Purple, boosting his already formidable defenses by a wide margin. Once the circle was complete he'd aim a strike towards the Knight's chest with his Magic hand, a Light Array bubble expanding once more from the palm of his hand, this time aiming to contain that Grey Knight, and bombard him once more with Bolts of Holy Draconian Light. Thanks to the Phoenix Cloak, the bolts would super-charged, and deal five times as much damage. Regardless of the outcome of Irral's Initial Strike, the Phoenix Cloak would be activated, and the Light Array would be racing towards either the first Grey Knight, or the Second, granted his first assault was a success.

The Paladin narrowed his eyes, of course...Of course the xenos would always reject the Emperors mercy when given to them. He would never question why he would declare such a doctrine, but they shall follow it nonetheless. As the lighting began to strike down the Grey Knights still enhanced and defended by their Psychic barriers began to move around to reduce the damage the lightning would do.

Of course the Paladin himself, Pravius contrary to his massive and bulky form almost seemingly reacted in inhuman speeds. Already enhanced by psychic powers, and his already superhuman reaction speeds capable of cutting bullets in mid flight. The massive warrior would move his own Halberd to defend his neck. "Brothers! Purge the xenos filth!" He ordered as Irral began his assault.

The first Grey Knight, presumably a Strike Squad member could see his movments as a rather fast runner. Despite this however his sudden movment appearing in front of a Grey Knight member which was the farthest away would have his leg cleaved right off, power armor torn asunder. Their Aegis Power armor may be able to resist such strong blows, but Terminator armor would be the one to protet him. The warrior was rendered airborne before being impaled.

Of course as the supercharged bolts began to strike once again, the Grey Knight Librarian conjured a Force Barrier to defend against the assault. Of course Storm Bolters began to echo as they opened fire against Irral despite the assault.

Pravius himself roared in anger at his fellow brothers demise and began to open fire with his psy-cannon as he marched forward, barrier currently protecting against the blows.

Narrowing his eyes, Irral set his sights on the Grey Knight Librarian. That would be his next target; his next kill to send a message to the Imperium of Man. That They were not all they boasted to be; that they could still be killed. Turning on the ball of his foot, Irral began to dart straight for the Librarian, most of what was fired at him merely bouncing off his armor; or missing entirely as he zig-zagged his way in a seemingly random path, sometimes even completely stopping before turning directions and moving again. His plan was to turn the fire of the Grey Knights upon themselves, turning them little by little into facing one-another as he moved around the battle-field, and after a while of this redirection, was behind the Grey Knight Librarian, aiming his Lance's blade at the vulnerable neck-plates of the armor, the small gap between the Chest Piece and the Helmet proper being all his blade needed in order to slaughter another.

Assuming his blade hit, the Phoenix Cloak surrounding Irral's body would channel through the shaft of the Lance, engulfing not the armor, but the man within the armor. At first, he would be met with grace and tranquility, an overwhelming sense of joy and ecstasy in all parts of his mind in body. With a twitch of his wrist, however, Irral's Phoenix Cloak turned hostile, and the man would likely begin to feel his insides imploding upon themselves, burning and yet at the same time solidifying into a Golden rock, starting from his lower intestines and working its way up to the brain, spreading through the body similar to the Corruption Draco unleashed. However in a sense, this was the exact opposite of corruption: In Irral's own words, he was "Purifying him to the point where even the Gods would revel in his purity."

In other words: Turning a mass of bone and flesh into a mass of Pure Gold. Polished and shined to perfection.

Once it was done, he would yank his Blade from the penetration point, and sheath his Lance before elegantly back-flipping away, landing in a sort of ceremonial Warrior's Salute, and vanishing in a beam of Light.

If, however, his Strike did not land, and his Lance in stead either hit the Armor itself, or missed, it would continue until stopping, whether that be a chink in the armor or the ground itself, and Irral would use it to lift his own body up off the ground using the strength of his arms alone, and aim a direct knee to the top of the Librarian's head. Normally, and in any other circumstance, the Librarian would more than likely shrug of this hit as a simple pebble hitting his armor. However Irral could control his weight; and thus unleashed the full weight of his Dragon form upon the head of the Grey Knight Librarian. The Weight of an ancient, one-hundred and forty meter tall, three hundred meter long, and sixty-three meter wide Dragon slammed onto the head-plate of the Grey Knight Librarian along the space of a single Knee, with the equivalent focus point of a bowling ball, all aimed at the armored head. This would likely simply smash the skull of the man inside entirely, leaving nothing but a bloody pulp if anything.

If that itself also missed, Irral would continue his furious assault on the Librarian, quickly landing and aiming a leg-sweep with his own legs, again using his weight and momentum to aide his already monstrous strength. After the sweep, Irral would continue to spin, another ball of light gathering in the palm of his right hand as he came out of the spin. His most powerful Current Spell, Retribution, awaited.

The Grey Knights were well disciplined warriors, as Irral began to charge forward trying to get them to accidently fire upon eachother, they of course took caution at firing from range and opted to instead quickly close the distance. Of course as he targeted the Librarian, he himself knew that he would try to go for him. It was simple reasoning, deal with the greater threat first, however he was no easy target to eliminate. Casting quicking upon himself he could see Irral's movments with ease.

With quick movments he easily followed Irral's strike and deftly avoided the blow, next came the follow up. Irrall's lance may have missed its mark however impaling the ground he would use his momentum to lift himself up to try and deliver a knee to his head. Keeping up the pace using the Quickining to track his movments to react along with the psychic buffs still affecting him making him faster. He quickly ducked down to avoid having his helmet and head crushed into a bloddy pulp.

Irral's assult of course continued, as he went for a kick to his legs the Libarian planted his sword between him so the blow would impact the Force Sword, the blow would of course impact but surprisingly not shatter. The weapon had been autuned to his own mind, such was the way of all Force weapons. Its properties was unlike most convintional weaponry. Of course the Librarian knew he was at a disadvantage, and there being plenty of other Grey Knights, Two Strike Squad Members rushed at Irral with Nemisis-Force Halbards prepared to slash at him, prepared to continue the assault if neccecary in case their initial attack failed.

The Paladin of course gathered the Terminators and the group began to channel a massive amount of psychic power to show their enemy the true might of the Emperor. They were preparing to unleash a power that had but the smallest fraction that the Emperor himself possesed, and this psychic powers was named Holocaust.

With a savage Snarl, Irral continued his assault on the Grey Knight Librarian. It would appear quite clear to the Grey Knights that Irral's words were not just simple boasts of power, but facts. Their Psychic attacks, while hitting, did not, and were not phasing the Dragon in the slightest, or at least appeared to do nothing. Quickly turning on his heel, Irral's palms reached out to intercept the two Strike Squad Members who had rushed him; having heard them coming long before they arrived. From his Palms expanded Light-Arrays that would quickly move to attempt to bubble them in and assault them once more with Super-Charged Light Bolts, this time even more powerful than before, with all of them hitting in the front of the armor, where yes, Irral knew no damage would likely be done, but where he knew they could be pushed back.

After his Light Arrays were cast, he turned once more to the Librarian, following his retreat closely, wrenching his Lance from the ground in one swift movement as he followed, twirling the thing incredibly fast, letting it gain momentum and power as it spun rapidly in his skilled hands and around his body. With a flash of his eyes, the Phoenix Cloak burned brighter, and the Dragon's speed boosted again, once more difficult to see while moving as he charged forwards at his prey. Smoke and Dust rose from the ground as he ran, further helping to conceal his approach to the Librarian. Like a Predator hunting its Prey, Irral first circled the Knight, creating a cloud to further obstruct his vision. A series of probing jabs with his Lance would be aimed at the stronger weak-points of the armor; ones that were obvious such as the shoulder joints, knee joints, inner thighs near the groin, and the neck once more. Irral was trying to see the limits of the Armor's range of motion. It wouldn't take long, four attacks at most, two at the least, before Irral darted at the the Librarian from what he surmised would be the Armor's biggest Blind-Spot, behind and below.

The Next thrust of the Dragon's Lance was aimed at a minute gap in the armor near the hip, aiming to bisect the leg and cut it clean off with a single stab. The other leg's knee-joint was assaulted by a ferocious kick with all of Irral's Draconian Weight behind it, one that would shatter a small mountain if it hit home. Once more the Lance would be twirled, gaining momentum, the Phoenix Cloak extending to the Lance itself, boosting its already nigh unstoppable momentum and sharpness as the Dragon of Corrupted Light aimed to swiftly decapitate the Librarian. If successful, Irral would then kick the limp body through the deteriorating cloud of Smoke to land at the feet of the Paladin; blood squelching from the wounds, leg completely deformed beyond recognition from the kick, and of course, head gone. Irral would then take great care in removing the head of the Librarian from its helmet, examining it briefly while holding it in one hand before crushing it effortlessly in his fist, letting it drop once the smoke had cleared enough so that the act of utter battlefield dominance could be seen.

"Do you see now, Child, that the words of a Dragon should never be taken Lightly? I am here to cleanse this world of all who would dare harm it; and I have no qualms about doing the same to those who threaten me or my mission." Irral's body began to shine brilliantly, as if sent from something more holy than the Emperor, more forgiving and more protecting. It was this sight enough that made many humans of the past herald him as their God, or as their Prophet, it was this Light that may even stir the embers of dissent among lesser men of the Imperium. And from there, it was only a wild-fire waiting to rage. "Let this be a lesson to you, who lives in Hubris so typical of Humans. You are not invincible. Your Emperor is not Invincible. Humble yourselves, or be Cleansed as well." Irral's voice echoed; magnified by the shine of his own magnificence in the eyes of Mortal Men, booming across the landscape like the voice of God in Tales of Old, and it was stern. In an instant, it was gone, and so was Irral; leaving the Grey Knights Alone in the City; now controlled by the Shadow Legion despite their efforts. The sounds of clicking and demonic cackles could be heard from the sewers and shadows.

Ridgecrest had fallen, Irral was gone; and the air was still. Draco's Expansion over Terra had begun.

The Paladin clenched his fist at the fallen Librarian body, he git his teeth as he watched the dragon crush the skull of one of his Battle brothers. However before he could enact retribution, Irral had vanished from the area as he taunted them. Previous of course decide to say a prayer. "To our immortal Emperor...May one day justice be brought upon our fallen battle brothers this day...Watch over our brothers souls..." He prayed as an Apothacary began to reclaim the fallen Grey Knights gene seeds.

With the demonic cackles there was only one hope left for the city. "All ships, commence orbital purification of Ridgecrest. Leave nothing but ash." The Paladin gave the Order as The Grey Knights recovered their dead as their forms vanished like lightning. To return back to orbit to wait another day they had to fight.

The Imperial Guard forces immediantly got the Orders to fall back, Ridgecrest had fallen into the Shadow Legions hands. And Orbital fire was about to hit their positions. Guardsman began to shout out the immediantly change of orders as they began to board transports and tanks, aircraft began to pick up troops before high tailing it out of dodge.

Those unluckily to catch a ride began to run full speed in the opposite direction of the city, that was when the skies turned orange. The orbiting defend fleet of Terra, 100 ships strong had charged Orbital cannons. Without and further wait, massive Orbital beams began to burn at Ridgecrest reducing building to mere ash, bodies into ash...They would allow no taint to be spread across Terra even if they had to destroy the city, even if there was still civilians or Guardsman that had not evacuated.

The purification of the city took the highest priority. If others viewed this action as unreasonable then let them. This was their duty to man, and the sacrifices were neccecary. Ridgecrest would burn in holy fire, just to deny the Shadow Legion any land.
