Appearance
Ryoko is a lanky, fairly muscular female. She has short, shoulder-length black hair (usually messy); a fair, pale complexion; and whited-out, small eyes. Her hair parts above her forehead, separating to frame her face on both sides. Her facial expression hardly varies, usually ranging from a soft smile to a light frown. Her clothes are typical of an Arrancar: a white jacket, black sash-belt, and a white hakama. Her jacket hangs to mid-calf even with her long body.

She retains her Hollow hole, located upon her pelvis in place of her right kidney. What is left of her Hollow mask is adjoined to the left side of her face, lining her jaw and spreading up to the upper-left of her forehead.

As a Hollow, Ryoko looked much like she does now, with a full daemon mask and massive black wings sprouting from her rear shoulder blades. Her mask hid her entire face, save for a large crack (a battle scar) revealing a blood-red eye on her right side.

Personality
Ryoko's disposition flunctuates based on her varying mental state. She is generally brooding and indifferent, both willing and able to do horrendous things to someone should they get in her way. She is detatched and cruel, referring to his lessrs as mere nothing and labelling them 'expendable'. Despite this, she is exceedingly nonviolent, fighting only when absolutely necessary. Even then, it's uincreasingly uncommon for her to even draw a sword, resorting to her Hakuda/Reiryoku skills to dispatch and even kill aggressors. She claims to not believe in emotions, although she engages in many risk behaviours that would indicate otherwise (drug/alcohol use, unsafe sex, etc.) Her disinterested state allows her to remain calm and in control, and surprise is rare for her to experience. She has a strong self-preservation instinct; fighting to all ends if only to save her own life.

She is also very perceptive, cunning, and analytical (within her limits); her long years of solitude and self-composition have made her sensitive to even the smallest detail. In meeting people, she can manipulate her spiritual energy to create a mental imprint of them upon her mind; effectively "seeing" them without her vision. With this ability, Ryoko is exceedingly good at conversation and remembering people, as all she must do is find their 'profile' within her again and 'read it'.

As her mental state deteriorates alongside the usage of her Zanpakuto, Ryoko can become quite 'punchy' and inappropriate, having more than once collapsed in an excited fit of laughter after the slaying of an ally by her own hand. She can become demeaning, hateful, and sick; having lost hold of herself during many occasions of obsession upon her blade.

Despite her general disinterest and detatchment, Ryoko has a habit of rambling on about seemingly nothing. She can hold a conversation about nearly anything, even going as far as to have had entire dissertations sprawl out of her mouth upon trivial matters, such as the application of paint and colour thereof.
