The single wielder of the Maelstrom, and a traveler of different worlds.
Born into a slowly dying world, with scarce resources left Satellite's childhood all but a fading memory. The planet itself was harvested for all it was worth, as souls, or creatures spawned from the death of beings, ravished the towns that most called home. These souls often took the form of whatever the victim's imagination before they died, and as more "beings" died from the souls the more souls were spawned. It was as if their world was slowly coming to an end, with no possible solution. The souls had an interest in the main population of "beings" for their gift of "life" and art of "survival". Just like every other person like Satellite, they could manifest weapons or tools from their hearts that could absorbs souls after defeat making them stronger. The bigger one's heart may be, the better and more fierce the weapon would become. These were their only defense against the souls, but it didn't hold off as much as they wanted it to. With enough proficiency and practice one could create a strong enough weapon one could use it to open the hearts of other worlds for traveling purposes, or just destroy the souls that haunted their planet.
With the entrance to the teen years, Satellite's heart manifested itself into his own personal weapon which he entitled Maelstrom. He used it against several raids against souls, and even through recreation in a gladiator-based sport against captured souls. Satellite was considered a hero in his own village, along with several other surrounding ones. They knew that he would be the only warrior that could take on the soul that haunted the continent, Glassjaw. After some vigorous training with his master, Satellite made it a quest of his own to bring back the head of this villain to his own village. After reaching the point of his goal, he defeated the monstrous spirit and let his sword devour the energy that he left. In turn, this granted Maelstrom unimaginable power and tainted it as the same time.
Upon returning to his village, he realized that he unlocked a power that only "beings" dreamed about. He had the power to open the hearts of other worlds through his single weapon, and become a legend like many others. Many have reached this ability before, but decided to travel the different planes and verses with no sole reason to return to home due to it being trashed and close to destruction. Satellite wanted to leave home like the many others, but only to become stronger. He wished to eventually return back to his home world and rid it from all terror, in any way possible.
