Description

Name: Saxom Acero
Age: 28
Race: OreVire- A race of human-like creatures that possess the ability to manipulate metal using a form of magic unique to them. This ability allows them to freely control the shape, and other properties as long as it is indeed metal in composition. They are one of the smallest of the nations, population wise. And hail from no one set place (Although they do have one location sacred to them and that they think of as "home" but this is known only to them and kept strictly secret from outsiders.) They appear similar to humans, the only noticeable difference being stronger builds and slightly darker skin. Lifespans are slightly longer then the average human's (by about fifty to seventy years) and their body is sturdier and more resistant to injury.

Appearance: Saxom stands at an average (For Orevire's) six feet and seven inches, but is thinner then most of his race. His hair is a combination of crimson and bleached blonde, front and back respectively. Like most Orevirians he has dark skin that bears a tattoo unique to his people. His tattoo circles his neck.

Equipment

  • Short Blade (As shown in picture), although he changes it's shape depending on what he wants.
  • Shield

Thy life given unto children of gods, Thy spirit shall they take, for in return for lasting life, A Warden you will make.

Saxom stood quietly in front of one of the market stalls, inspecting a piece of fruit. He was within earshot of the commotion, as should be expected, it was his life’s purpose to be within earshot after all.

“I’ll give you two for it.” He said to the stall owner, who scratched his chin in reply before slowly nodding. His agreement was rewarded when two dull copper coins were placed onto the wood before him.

Saxom hid the coming smirk behind the piece of fruit. Biting into it he shook his head slowly. Such a brazen and hasty attempt at recovery
it was entertaining really, if only the legend had the grace and cunning the woman Saxom served possessed
if she could still be called a woman at all.

Saxom’s blade was tucked safely away at his waist, his shield on his arm. The Dagger, it seemed, had been obtained by a pirate
.how fitting. As much as it entertained him, it annoyed him. It would be a challenge to track such a ship, for he could fly.

So, he would need to improvise.

He snatched a bottle of
something, from the hands of a passer by, handing him three silver coins as payment and approached the stairs to the ship.

“Oi! Perhaps I can join you as a means to keep this night filled with entertainment?” He called up to the pirate wearing a wide smile, raising the bottle high.

“Of course not!” Saxom answered loudly. “How bout throwing me a line and I’ll join you all for a bit of fun?”

Of course, it was hardly on his mind, but that was why he was good at what he did. He knew what to say to who. While he waited he studied the design of the ship, making it a point to commit key details to memory.

Sol was always so demanding in her reports, although it was his fault really

He was always satisfying her.

Saxom was left standing on the dock, rope in hand. He rolled his eyes with a sigh. Some people

Well, the sooner he started the sooner he finished. He gripped the rope tightly and hopped of the dock. His body flew through the air as he swung on the rope, bringing his knees to his chest. When he felt the bottom of his feet impact the side of the ship he started his climb.

When he slid over the banister onto the deck of the ship he lay flat on his back. “Aha, I did it!” He laughed loudly, trying to make a spectacle of himself to entertain the others. “Although I dint have much choice really! Fallin to my death woulda put a really dent in my life plans!”

“Ah! I’m missing out on festivities!” Saxom shouted boisterously as he got to his feet and began to approach Jess.

“Exscuse me, Fine Miss
.Very Fine Miss I say, anyway I am a magician of sorts and would like to present you with a show as a form of entertainment to express my gratitude towards your allowing of me onboard this magnificent vessel. Would you be interested?”

Saxom rolled his eyes with a sigh and ran a hand through his hair.

To have acted in such a demeaning way only to be ignored, insulting. He shook his head and ignored it. He had a job to do. He stood at the helm and looked over the pile of weapons.

Yes
one of them was here. He knew it to be certain. He was one of the few who knew the truth, learned from Sol herself.

He noticed the Precursor anxiously move towards the blade. While normally he’d simply walk away, seeing as they were on the same side, Saxom’s pride as Warden had been wounded by these pirates, and he would not return to Sol empty handed.

The blade would slide across the ground, through the other weapons and rise slowly into the air beside him. He threw the Precursor a grin before walking to the edge of the ship, the blade following him closely.

“See you later, Precursor.” Saxom would smile as the being readied his weapon, all the while just giving time for The Warden to reach the banister. “I shall at least mention to Sol you assisted me in it’s retrieval. Ta.”

He simply leaned back over the banister, falling through the air, the dagger darting after him.

If they were to watch his shrinking figure, they would notice wings sprout from his shoulders, wings that glistened in the star’s light.

Wings made of metal.

Had he not been Orevirian, He mostly would have taken the arrow to his back, thus bringing his days as a warden to an end, perhaps limiting him to becoming a guard somewhere.

But, this would not be the case. He sensed the incoming metal in the arrow head and as it raced towards his lower back, it was intercepted by the very blade that followed Saxom.

Taking note of the archer’s presence, His wings folded back and he streaked through the sky, increasing the distance between them quickly, he would be well out of his range.

“Atone for sins of the past, A Warden’s will devout. Shall he ceases his watch on all, The End will come about.”

Saxom recited the verse quietly to himself as he sat alone in the Temple of Sagittae. He felt the cold metal of the Dagger’s blade with his fingers as the weapon laid on his lap. He nodded to himself.

Why was she keeping him waiting? It probably had to do with The Precursor and his failure. A sigh. She should’ve known the urgency of the situation, she was letting her emotions cloud her judgment, and he felt like he would pay the price.

As the sounds of others entering the Temple reached Saxom, he closed his eyes and tilted his face to the ceiling. Curse that woman’s need to waste time. That primitive Precursor was just as much to blame. He was such a brute and so very reckless, what could Sol even see in him. Probably the power
.how
simple.

He remained seated, trying his best to simply avoid attention by hiding in plain sight. The Dagger of Colossi was slipped into his waistband, beside his own short blade. As he listened, he placed a hand on the shield that lay beside him.

He was a Warden, while he preferred to work from shadows, he would do whatever was necessary.

“The Temple of Sagittare, Skyfall Citadel.” Saxom replied calmly. “If you’re looking for the local tavern, I’d suggest you try looking in Goldenbridge Ward, isn’t too far from her.”

He used all of his effort to keep his face plain, to betray not a single thought on his expression. Where, was Sol? What was taking her? The Colossi weapons that could free the Eras were scattered, and here he was sitting in a Temple with one, and she was off playing romance games with that damned Precursor who’d screwed up the retrieval by being so damned impulsive.

Saxom sighed at the voice. Time was up.

“Young lady.” He said slowly as he refrained from moving in his seat, not even turning to face her. “I’m going to decline, and if you know what’s good for you, you’ll leave now.”

His fingers on one hand traced the etchings on the shield at his side, while the other hand gripped the hilt of the Dagger tightly.

“Now my associate here is not going to hand over the weapon he contracted me to acquire.” He felt a bit of guilt for including this stranger, but he had to keep in mind the bigger picture. “If you want it back you will have to deal with him. I have been paid and as such I have no part in this matter. Now if you’ll excuse me,” He rose to his feet, picking up his shield. “I will be going.”

Saxom hummed himself a tune as he walked through the dark woods. He carried a pickaxe on his shoulder and his shield on his arm. He'd decided to help out the local blacksmith and try to get him some ore from the nearby mountains....well, somewhat nearby. It would take him at least a day to walk through this forest and reach the mountains beyond. But, Saxom didn't mind. As an orevirian, mining was one of his favorite things to do, and he hardly needed an excuse to set off on a trip to do some.

Aside from his tool and his shield, Saxom had with him a small pack that was tied to his back. It held his other supplies, just standard necessities for when he would need to spend the night out doors. And his short blade, resting quietly on the sheath behind his waist.

His own ears would pick up the quiet sounds of strings being plucked and a feminine voice. He didn't pay much mind to it, deciding that he'd only worry if he suddenly came under attack. It was not long after he first heard the sounds that he found himself walking past the blonde haired woman.

"Hello." He said to her with a small smile and a polite wave before continuing his trek.

"Me? I'm going to the mountains." Saxom answered, not feeling threatened by this young lady in the slightest. "Going to do some minning. What about you? What you doing around these parts?"

"I am Saxom." He said first, continuing to walk towards this curious girl. "Well, I won't deny the beauty of this forest, but I promised I would get a job done, plus, I enjoy mining, it's fun for me."

He looked around at the forest for a quick second, before turning back to face her.

"So, do I qualify as strange folk, Miss....?"

"It's nice to meet you Auris." Saxom nodded at her, and then pointed to his neck. "This? This is just something Orevirians get once they reach a certain age. It's kind of like a birthmark really. Everyone has their own different one, kind of like snowflakes or fingerprints."

He smiled, looking around at the leaves that circled them, he admitted, it was slightly odd, but it didn't seem ominous in a bad way.

"So you protect this place? That would mean you'd have to be pretty strong, wouldn't it?"

"Oh I know that even females like yourself can be strong." Saxom laughed. "But, that's not why I don't feel threatened. I just don't get a bad vibe from you, so I figure since I'm not going to do anything that would warrant trouble, you won't try and cause any for me."

He smirked at her display of 'strength'.

"What would your strength be then?"

Saxom had to smile as he looked up at her.

"Well you certainly do seem to be a bit tricky to handle. It's a good thing I don't have to try and go a couple of rounds with you."

He laughed and shook his head, resuming his walk. "Yeah, I can't really do anything like that."

"You sure seem to be having fun." Saxom grinned, switching the shoulder on which he carried the weight of the pickaxe so he could use his hand to pluck the leaves out of her blonde hair.

"I have an inkling, but you are correct in that I don't know exactly where your power comes from. Why don't you tell me?"

"It's likely." Saxom said, glancing at her for a moment before looking ahead. No harm in letting her do what she wanted. "I figure I have to come back through here on my way back from the mountains. Plus these woods are so thick I should be spending a couple of nights under the trees."

Not that he minded, he actually enjoyed these kinds of things once in a while.

"So, do you get to meet travellers often?"

"Um, sure, go on." Saxom smiled, curious as to what she was getting at. He still didn't feel threatened, although he did have to admit he wasn't expecting this girl to be so, forward with her curiosity. But it wasn't a bad thing, so he didn't mind

Saxom stood under her, grinned at the ground for a moment and then looked up at her.

"Well, you certainly don't hesitate to do what you want do you?" He had to admit he didn't hate it, but he could tell it was more for fun than out of any real attraction. "Well, if I've satisfied your curiosity, I should be going. I want to at least reach the river before the sun falls beneath the horizon."

Saxom walked a couple of steps, and then, upon noticing she was no longer beside him, stopped and turned towards her.

"Something the matter?" He asked. He didn't sense any coming trouble, and the only sounds he heard were the leaves as the wind brushed through them.
